Chapter 9 - Welcome home mother

The moon was barley showed behind the dark clouds and you could barely see the ship that was making it's way in to he harbor. The Jolly Roger had made it's way to Storybrooke.

They laid anchor, and Captain Hook jumped down from his position on the high mast to the staircase that lead from the deck on to the pier. Hook held out his hook for Cora, as the gentleman he was.

"Well my dear Cora, this is where we should part ways. Thank you for.. everything. It's time for me to skin me crocodile." Hook sad and started to walk away.

Cora disappears in a dark cloud, just to show up in front of him. "You may wanna rethink this."

"We had a deal. Get out of my way."

"Believe it or not, I'm doing you a favor."

"By preventing my vengeance?"

"Ask yourself 'how' I'm doing that."

"By using your dark magic."

"Exactly. Magic is here. And that makes matters a bit more complicated. If you go off half coked after empowered Rumplestiltskin, do you know what would happen? So you do. Good."

Then a man showed up behind Cora.

"Hey, you folks need anything? The tackle shop don't open until morning. But if you wanna go and try to sneers some of New England's finest best conturing creature, I be happy to open early for you."

"No, thank you but we're fine." Hook answer.

"It's a fine vessel you got there. When did you get in?" The man says looking up at the ship.

"What vessel?" Cora asks.

"Why, that one right.." Cora makes one move with her hand and makes the ship disappear.

"Hey, that's a neat trick. Are you some kind of magician back in our land?" Cora makes a clapping move with her hand and turns the man into a fish. Both Hook and Cora sighs. Hook walk forward and pushes the fish into the water and then turns to Cora again.

"What did you do to my ship?"

"I hid it form prying eyes. For what we both want to do we need the element of surprise. Now you're ready to listen to me?"

"Go on your majesty, what now?"

"Let's go have a little look at this Storybrooke, shall we?" Cora smiles.

Right after the welcome home party.

"How was the party mom?" Rosalie asks as soon she hears her mom coming through the door.

Regina walks into the living room where Daniel and Rosalie are sitting watching TV.

"Well, it could have gone better." Regina answer and sits down between them.

"One step at a time, mom. They really can't expect that you would have changed over a night."

"It doesn't matter. They don't want me there anyway. I was only invited because Henry wanted me there."

"But that's god! I know you don't really care about what the others think, because it's Henry you want back. And he will come back, trust me."

"Our daughter is right Regina. They will see how much you've changed soon enough." Daniel says and lays his arm around Regina. "Just like we have."

The interrogation.

Regina is sitting in the chair she never thought she would sit in. She's at the sheriff station. Emma called her to ask her if she could come down to answer a few questions. She heard the door open and looked up and saw Emma and Charming come in.

"Glad to see the sheriff station is now a family business." She smiles. "Why am I here?"

"You know why you're here." Emma answer. As she do Mary Margaret walks towards the looking through glass to watch. "Because of Archie." Emma finish.

"Oh, it's now against the law to get into an argument with someone?" Regina asks.

"It is if you go to their office later that night to kill them." Charming says crossing his arms. Regina looks at him with shook and sadness. And Emma can see that there is no lies in Regina's face.

"Archie is dead?"

"Stop it Regina. Ruby saw you going into his office last night." Charming says.

"Then she's lying I was home all evening." Regina defends herself. And then the door flies open and there stands Rosalie short of breath because she has been running.

"It's true! She was home all evening and all night with me and dad."

Charming sighs. "This not a good alibi, because you two would do anything for Regina, even lie for her." He says looking at Rosalie who gives him a dangerous look and he has to look away.

Regina looks up at Emma. "After everything I've done to change, to win Henry back, why would I thus it all away now? And if I did, and I was going to kill Archie, you would never know it. The fact that he is dead and you caught me shows sloppiness."

"You've been caught before." Regina looks up at Charming with her sad and hurting eyes. "Come on Emma, who do you think is lying, Ruby or her? She's incapable of change no matter how many times we've given her the change. Why should this time be any different?" The last words he's says looking straight at Regina who looks like she could kill.

"Because she HAS changed." Rosalie screams at Charming.

The Charmings had let Regina go and she was now back in her house with Daniel and Rosalie. They were sitting at the dining room table, talking about what had happened at the station when there is a knock on the door.

Regina stands up and walks over to the door and opens it. On her porch stands Emma in the front and Snow and Charming right behind her.

"Miss Swan. I assume you're here to apologize?" Regina asks.

"I saw you do it." Emma stares at Regina.

"What?" Regina looks over at Charming and back at Emma, confused.

"I saw it. You shocked the life out of Archie."

"What are you talking about? How is that even possible?"

"Magic." Charming answer.

Regina looks back at Emma. "You s.."

"I saw what happened. And it was you."

"Gold." Regina says after a few seconds. "He helped you. You're going to trust him of all people, when he's probably the one behind this?"

"We didn't trust him. That's way Emma just magic instead." Snow says.

"You can just magic?" Regina asks Emma.

Emma nods, and smiles at Regina. "The savior, of course. Well I can only assume he warned you then."

"About what?" Emma looks away to her right, like she's preparing for something.

"That magic always comes with a price."

"Yeah. Thats a price we're both gonna pay."

"Hows that?"

"Henry. He believed in you. His hearts gonna break. That's both our prices."

"No, I wont let you poison Henry against me."

"It's an interesting word choice, since you already did."

Rosalie had walked to the doorway and looking out, hearing what they all was saying. She now saw Emma start to walk away from Regina, as she started to speak and walk after.

"I wanna see him. He deserves to hear my side of the story. He's my son!"

"He's not, he's mine!" Emma runs towards Regina. "And after this you're not getting anywhere near him. DO IT!"

Blue shows up behind a tree, she trows some fairy dust towards Regina, but Regina is prepared this time. She capture it in her hands, and turns around looking at Snow and Charming. "Did you really think that would work again?" She trows it at there feet.

Regina turns back to Emma. "You.. You will not keep my son form me!" She pushes Emma back with her magic, so Emma is trowed up in the air and then lands a few feet away from Regina.

"So much for fairy dust." Snow runs to help Emma stand up.

Regina walks towards Emma and stops inches away from her face. "Maybe some of your new found magic can save you now?"

"I don't need it. I already won. There is no way Henry will swallow your lies about Archie now."

Regina looks scared, she turns around and sees Charming and Blue are standing behind her, blocking her way.

"You can pretend all you want but we know you are." Regina turns back to face Emma. "And who you will always be."

Regina eyes shows heartache. And than they all hear Rosalie scream from the porch. "Mom no!" Regina disappears in a cloud of purple smoke.

Rosalie looks at Emma, and Emma looks back. "You're gonna pay for this Emma Swan!" She looks at Snow with sadness in her eyes. "I thought you where my friend, and you!" She turns towards Blue. "You where my mother for 15 years! How could you do this to me?!"

Rosalie started to cry during her screams but now she turns around and runs back in to the house, slamming the door behind her.

A few days later

Rosalie had manage to figure out where her mother is hiding. And when she arrives at the mausoleum, she sees that her grandfathers grave is thorn aside. Her mom would never leave it like that, someone has to be in there with her. So she sneaks down, listening. She hear her mother and then she hear another voice, one she hoped never to hear again, Cora.

She couldn't hear exactly what they were saying so her first thought was to read her mothers thoughts but then she remembered that her mother is blocking her. But then she heard her mothers voice in her head. "Rose? Rose I know you're outside. Don't come in, whatever you do. I can handle my mother. Go home and take your father some place else. Can you do that for me?"

"Yes mom." Rosalie thinks back to her mother.

Back at the house Rosalie tells her father about Cora and her mom back at the mausoleum. They decide to leave the house and check in to Granny's.

The morning after Regina had returned to her house with Cora they were now in her bedroom. Regina was sitting on her bed looking sad. Cora sat down beside her.

"What is it sweetie?" Cora asks nicely and rubs her daughters back.

"It's Henry. Emma left town with Gold, and she took him with her."

"And you didn't stop them?"

"I didn't know until after they'd gone."

"I'm sure he's safe." Cora smiles. "Daniel and Rosalie to." Cora ads.

Regina looks up at Cora with terror in her eyes. "How did you?"

"Please, Regina. Give me some credit, I'm your mother, it's my job to know everything. But don't worry, it's okay. I understand why you didn't want to tell me. I promise I'm not gonna hurt them."

"Really?" Regina asks hopefully.

"Yes. And so you know, as soon as Gold is done, Henry will be back."

"But not with me." Regina says sadly.

"Back, from where?" Hook has shoved up in the doorway.

Cora and Regina looks up at him. "Where's Rumplestiltskin gone?"

"I don't know." Regina answer.

"Well if he's left town, he's powerless. So he can be killed."

"The moment either of us leave, we lose our magic. And our advantage" Cora says.

"And your memories?"

"None of us was victims of the curse. It's not about memories, it's about magic." Regina explains.

"Well, I don't need magic. I'll go after him alone."

Regina stands up. "Even if you could find him, do you really think you could just walk up to him and stab him in the heart with your sword?"

"Well, I prefer my hook, but I can't find that now."

"You're not going anywhere." Cora says from the bed.

"I deserve my vengeance!"

Cora stands up. "Right. You're right, you do. And with the Dark One gone we can search for the one magical item that can actually kill him here. His dagger."

Regina walks in to Granny's and spots Daniel and Rosalie in one of the booths and walks over to them.

"Hi you two." Regina says smiling as she sits down beside Daniel.

"Mom! I'm so glad to see you. What happened with Cora? You had me really scared there." Rosalie asks her mother.

Regina just smiles to her daughter. "Everything is fine, actually it's more then fine. The one thing I always wanted, I finally got. My mother accepting you." Regina smiles wide, joy on her face.

"What? You mean she don't want us dead? She don't want you all to herself?" Rosalie asks chocked.

"No, she is actually happy for me. And she has apologized for everything she's done to me, to you." Regina turns to Daniel at the last two words. "I'm so happy, that I can have all three of you in my life. I just hope that you can forgive her to." Regina says hopefully looking at the love of her life and her beloved daughter.

"Of course Regina. If she really is trying to change for the better, just like you. I can put the past behind us. All that matter right now, is that I have you in my arms again." Daniel says laying his arms around Regina and then pulling her closer.

"Of course mom." Rosalie smiles happy at her parents. Feeling that everything is just perfect, nothing could possibly go wrong now.
