Sorry this took longer than a week to update. I had some computer problems. Anyway, you didn't have any questions so there won't be a Q&A at the end of the chapter.

I couldn't help the smile touching my lips as little Naruto chased his younger brother around. Yashamaru was faster than him, his thin legs carrying him across the streets in record speed. Their sister stood silently, eyes following them. "She's the spitting image of you," I noted as Gaara came to stand beside me.

"And I'm sure Akane will regret that fact very much in her later life." I laughed as redhead Naruto finally managed to tackle his younger brother. I knew he didn't want me to, but I noticed the slight movement of sand that was used to trip the black haired boy.

"Naruto has your gift."

"Just as Yashamaru has yours. We'll see how Akane develops."

"Well, whatever gift she possesses, it's not mine. Her eyes are green." Naruto was nine years old and extremely gifted when it came to genjutsu, but he occasionally surprised us with his use of the sand. He had the eyes and hair of his father but Aiyota's face. It had taken five years for Yashamaru to be born. Like all nine-tailed ninja, he developed at an alarming rate, mastering speech at a mere year of age. He was fast and his ninjutsu was excellent. Others on the council spoke of adding him to the ANBU as soon as I would allow. However, both Gaara and I knew full well that he'd be taking off on his own in just a matter of months. Nine-tailed ninja had to find their own paths.

My daughter was the only one I worried about. Akane, named after my mother, was only two but her eyes spoke of a deep understanding of life. She was born silent and remained so most of her short life. Honestly, the only reason why I knew she was capable of speech was because I could touch her mind.

"You shouldn't worry about her," Gaara reassured me, putting a light hand on my shoulder. I'm still surprised by the fact I share my thoughts with you without realizing it.

You've been doing it for years. I'd have expected you to be used to it by now. I shrugged and he let it be. My arms crossed over my chest as I smiled at my beautiful family. My little children. Gaara wrapped his arms around my protectively and kissed the side of my cheek. And, finally, I knew I had found my home.

Thank you all so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it. This is the end of Nari's story.
