Hello, readers of fanfiction! I was thrilled when I saw all the reviews and I now have a new computer so it will be easier to post new chapters. Also I have decided this will be about Mara, Ian, Kai, and Bryan, sometimes Matt, Zanye,Kyle,Tom and Andrew. I have also decided that I am going to make 20 more chapters and maybe a sequal chapter. MAYBE! I know its kinda short but I would like to complete this. Sorry about the wait, but here it is Chapter 3!
Kai, Ian, Mara, Bryan- 16 Andrew-14 Kyle-13
Bryan had ENOUGH. He was sick and tired of his little brother and cousin at PCA. They were always embarrassing him. And he couldn't complain to his mother or aunt because Kyle and Andrew were momma's couldn't even retaliate 'cause they would tell on him and though Lola might listen, his Aunt Gabrielle would destroy him if she found out he hurt her '' precious little baby''.
And they knew this, too. They knew that they could do whatever they wanted, that would never get in trouble. And it was irritating as hell. They were so smug. You could see it in the way they walked and the way they talked, acting like they owned the place, like they were in charge,. They were 8th graders for Christ's sake! And everyday they would tell someone something embarrassing about him and when he would confront them about it, they would just remind him how there was absolutely nothing he could do about it.
And it got worse everyday. On Monday, they told everyone in his economics class that he couldn't ride a bike until he was 9. Then on Tuesday, they told everyone in his Math class that he had wet the bed until he was 11. And on Wednesday, Andrew decided to tell everyone in his history class he had taken ballet for 6 years. Though they had cleverly left out the part where he was forced by his mother who had always wanted a daughter to take to dance class. Even worse, on Thursday, they had told everyone at lunch that he was afraid of artichokes. Yeah! When he was 3! And it was only because his three year old mind had thought they were aliens and when he ate them they were going to explode or leak poison or something like that.
But now it was Friday, and he could only imagine what they were going to do today.
Bryan was in his room pacing. His best friend Fabian was watching him, throwing a ball in the air and catching it when it came down. Fabian laughed quietly to himself. Yeah, he felt for his friend, and there was no doubt in his mind that Kyle and Andrew were obnoxious idiots, but he found it hilarious when Bryan was upset. Yeah it was mean, but it was amusing. And he couldn't really understand why Bryan was so worried. Most of the kids at PCA were pretty nice and no one had really made fun of him except Andrew, Kyle and their little gang of middle schoolers. So what was the big deal?
And that is what he asked Bryan.
''What's the big deal? WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL!?'' he screeched. He was about to tell a very surprised Fabian what the big deal was when he caught himself. He couldn't tell him what he was afraid of them revealing. Fabian would flip out. Fabian was usually a pretty mellow guy, but when it concerned his sister, he could go berserk. And to be honest, it was annoying. But Bryan couldn't blame him. Kai was his ONLY sister. And younger than him, too. Well, only by 7 1/2 minutes, but still. '' I-I- I'm gonna go for a walk'' stuttered Bryan. ''Yeah, some fresh air might clear your wonky head.'' mumbled Fabian, who had fallen off his chair when Bryan had his outburst.
Bryan walked outside into the cool November air. He was in a deep thought when he tripped on pebble and realized he had wandered into the cafeteria. ''Oh no'' he thought. He was in public. He couldn't face everyone, it was just too embarrassing. To make matters worse, he saw Andrew and Kyle coming with identical looks of smugness and pride. ''Oh God no'' he thought. He was about to make a break for it when he saw Fabian coming. ''This is not good, so not good'' he inwardly groaned. He was blocked on all sides. There was no escaping the embarrassment that was coming.
''Ladies and gentlemen, girls and boys,'' said Andrew rather grandly. '' We have something to tell you about, dear old Bryan Barrett, my brother and fellow PCA student.'' Kyle said with a smirk. ''Not to mention my cousin!'' added Andrew. ''Now I'm guessing all of you have heard about the recent rumors going around about Bryan's various embarrassments, so in case your wondering, they are true''. said Kyle. ''And we would like you to know that because of the things we have revealed, Dean Rivers has said we are at risk for suspension, so no more juicy details about Mr. Barrett-'' '' Oh thank goodness-'' thought Bryan, '' except for this especially interesting piece of info.'' said Andrew. ''Spoke to soon'' thought Bryan. '' Bryan Barrett is in love... ( everyone held their breath in anticipation) ...with a girl at PCA.'' finished Kyle with a grin. Everyone released the breath they had been holding. ''Who?'' called out a girl in the crowd. ''Ah crap!'' thought Bryan. He looked behind him. There was Fabian with his jaw hanging wide open. ''Probably shocked I didn't tell him'' thought Bryan. ''In a moment he'll see why'' thought Bryan with a small sigh. He turned around to look at his relatives.
''Bryan Barrett, my first cousin on my mother's side, my best friend Kyle's big brother, is hopelessly and desperately in love with,... Kai Reese!'' screamed Andrew. Kai, who had been watching on the other side of the cafeteria paled. Her eyes went wide. ''Surely it can't be,'' she thought. But then she saw how crushed and embarrassed Bryan looked. ''Oh he is...'' she thought. She grinned. Now she knew what she had been feeling for a year; love.
She saw Bryan running through the crowd, carefully avoiding her brothers. ''Smart move'' she thought. She ran after him. Bryan was fast and it took a while for Kai to catch up. She had rehearsed what she was going to say, but she came face to face with him, she suddenly felt weak in the knees and tongue-tied. ''Hey'' she said quietly. ''Hey'' he murmured back. Silence. ''I'm sorry about all this-'' he started. ''Shh, it's okay, I- I know how you feel'' she said. For the first time in her life, she felt shy. Bryan looked stunned. ''Y-you do?'' he asked. She nodded. He grinned. He was beyond happy right now. Slowly he inched forward.
She looked up at him with wide eyes. He smiled softly and leaned down so his face was less than an inch away from hers. His lips met hers and she closed her eyes. His arms snaked around her tiny waist, pulling her as close as physically possible. Her arms wove around his neck and she had to stand on her toes to kiss back. '' So this is what perfect feels like'' she thought. Bryan smiled against her lips, as if he could read her mind, like he knew what she was thinking. They stayed like that for a while. They could have stayed like that forever, but they still had to breath.
He pulled back. She looked up at him and grinned. She stood back on her feet. And there they stood, her arms around his neck, his arms around her waist, staring at each other. She laughed lightly. ''What?'' asked Bryan, who was still grinning from ear to ear. ''You have to tell my brothers your dating their baby sister. His grin disappeared. ''Shit''.
I would like to thank everyone for the reviews, they have made me so happy! I am going to update as soon as possible! KEEP REVIEWING!
