Chapter 3: Home
Dylan was really happy to meet his long time idol, Natsu Dragneel. His eyes sparkled and thought of the information he read about Natsu in the Magician Weekly like he's super strong and extremely stupid. He idolizes the man for being an awesome mage. Even thou the magazines said that Natsu tends to destroy cities, that does not change the fact that he is still an awesome mage. He wants to ask the wizard many questions but his inner shyness stopped him from doing so.
"You are mistaken!"Natsu Dragion exclaimed waving his right hand and scratching the back of his neck on the process.
"But, you look exactly like him..." Dylan said. A slam was heard and the boys immediately turn to where the sound came from.
"Natsu!" A white cat with a furious look wearing a hat came in. "Why are you not working on my farm?!"
"Lu-lucky!" Natsu exclaimed. After the Earthland Fairy Tail returned to their land, Lucky has been Natsu's partner in building magical weapons. During free times Lucky will force Natsu to work on his farm using the reason 'Natsu lacks physical strength'. Being the coward that he is without his car, he would always agree without questions.
"Who is this kid?" Lucky glared at Dylan while looking closely. Dylan suddenly started shaking and tears started flowing from his eyes. He quickly climb at the upper part of the mattress and covered himself using the pillow that was located near him. Dylan has fear of angry faces, especially when it is directed to him.
Natsu looked at the boy with amused look. First, the little boy showed a persistent and loyal face but now he is scared from top to bottom. 'He is like me' Natsu thought seeing Dylan's sudden change of attitude.
"This is Dylan, Lucky..." Natsu told Lucky. "Lucy and I found him... It appears that he is from Earthland"
Lucky suddenly looked at Natsu with shocked eyes, the cat just took a deep breath.
"Aren't all the Earthland Mages returned to their world?"
"I am not a mage... I have no magic... " Dylan said looking down on the bed.
"But that is impossible!" Lucky and Natsu exclaimed.
"Everyone in Earthland, even fishermen, has magic. They just have sma—" Lucky continued.
"small amount of magic!" Dylan shouted. "I know all of that..."
Dylan covered himself with the pillow and turned silent, leaving Lucky and Natsu shocked by the boy's sudden outrage. Natsu somehow understand why the boy is like that. For a long time, Dylan has been alone. Natsu might be a coward but he's never alone. Natsu has Fairy Tail. Natsu smiled and patted Dylan's head.
"C'mon, don't be sad..." Natsu whispered and Dylan started to calm down.
"I want to go home." Dylan said.
"Does he have a place to stay?" Lucky asked. "You just found him somewhere right?"
Natsu looked at Dylan and the boy shook his head.
"No, he does not have any...But he can sta—" Natsu was cut off by Lucky.
"Then stay with us!" Lucky grew wings using his magic, grabbed Dylan on the back and flew outside.
Natsu chased after them nervously shouting "He still needs rest, Lucky-san"
They passed through all the members and left the guild. Inside the guild, all of the members are stunned.
"I-Is that Natsu chasing Lucky?" A Fairy Tail member said.
"Yes..." Lucy said, turning red.
"Aha! You're blushing!" Levy shouted pointing at Lucy.
"Shut up! Levy!"
Lucky and Dylan arrived at the farm with Natsu behind them panting heavily. The farm has many vegetables and fruits arrange neatly and located beside it is a small cabin. Lucky put the boy down and the boy looked at everything with confused look.
"Why so confused, boy?" Lucky asked.
"Everything... looks different..." Dylan said while trying to touch the sky.
"Well...hah... You are not...hah... in your world, Dylan" Natsu said.
"I am really in another world..." Dylan said. "What is the name of this world?"
"Edolas" Natsu and Lucky answered at the same time. "A world without magic!"
Earthland
To our dear Passengers, We are staying in this station until the Hailstorm stop. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Lucy Heartfilia sighed as she heard the announcer mentioned those words. She sneezed because of the coldness of her surroundings. She never liked the snow it makes her well, cold. She looked around and found her team talking about where to stay.
"Caitshelter is near here." Wendy said. "We could stay there..."
"Wouldn't it be messy right now?" Charle asked and the rest of the group agreed.
"E-eh, I visited it...and clean up a bit..." Wendy reasoned suddenly becoming nervous.
"So, that's why you came home so late!" Charle exclaimed.
"It's decided then." Erza said "Wendy and Charle lead the way."
The whole team, except Lucy, started walking towards the exit. Lucy stared at her team mates with an are-guys-you-crazy look.
"Lucy! Hurry up!" Gray shouted.
"But, there's a snow storm!" Lucy reasoned out.
"So?"
"I will freeze to death, you Ice brained idiot!"
"Can't you just summon your clock thingy?"
"Horologium is on break today!" Lucy explained.
Without a word, Natsu walked in front of Lucy crouched down waiting for Lucy to ride his back.
"I'll carry you." Natsu said, looking away. "My body heat can help you with the cold."
Lucy turned red and rode Natsu's back.
"Thank you, Natsu" Lucy whispered.
Natsu blushed. He huffed and began to ran passing the rest of his teammates.
"Hey Natsu, Do you know the way?" Erza said.
"I am just following Wendy's scent!"
All of them laugh and began to catch up with Natsu.
