watched Sasuke, his younger brother.
He loved his younger
brother; he would do anything for him (even suffer death).
He knew
that Sasuke hated him. Especially after what he did to the clan…
Their family…
He
couldn't tell Sasuke why he had done what he had done.
He
couldn't tell him that he was ordered to or that Danzou had been
the one who had ordered him to. He couldn't bear the thought of
what Sasuke would feel.
He couldn't tell Sasuke he wanted to
take him with him; to protect him from danger and everything else
around him.

Thinking
back, he had once heard a song like his situation.
It was a love
song, but it worked just the same for him.
He still remembers the
words.
"There's
another world inside of me, that you may never see…" It
was true.
"There're
secrets in this life that I can't hide…" He
tried to; so desperately.
"Somewhere

felt lost, completely, without his little brother.
"Maybe it's too far away... Or maybe I'm just blind..." Itachi had known all his life he was going to go blind.

couldn't have stopped it.

knew Sasuke wasn't always going to be there. He wasn't there for
Sasuke, and he regretted it so.

doesn't want to know what else he could do.

had secrets that could hurt Sasuke.

He wasn't sure if there was anything of himself left.
