Chez Jordan, Chapter 2, The Surprise Day 1
The next day, Elise and Jordan woke up early in the morning and Jordan was tired. So he went to get some sleep as Elise opened the restaurant. In the middle of the shift, Jordan came back with a table set with some whipped cream and a dessert product.
"It's a Soleannan dessert my grandmother taught me," Jordan said. "She would kill me if she knew I was sharing the recipe with you! We add the cream like so..."
"Ooh, those look tempting," Elise said.
"Not half as tempting as you," Jordan said. Then Jordan splattered whipped cream on Elise's nose. So Elise caught Jordan as he kept coming into the restaurant. When the day ended, Elise got even with Jordan by splattering whipped cream on his nose as well. That night, Elise and Jordan had dinner.
"Jordan, I have a great idea!" Elise said. "Lets go to the clock tower together."
"The tower? Hm...I have a better idea," Jordan said. "Why don't we visit the Soleannan countryside together?"
"I love that, but I was really hoping you'd show me the sights around Soleanna, first," Elise said.
"And I will...but tonight I'm tired," Jordan said. "How about I cook a romantic dinner for you right here, instead?" So Elise and Jordan made the dinner as the couple talked about how great it was to finally get that letter. Then the couple kissed lovingly.
Chez Jordan, Chapter 2, The Surprise Day 2
"Bonjour, Merlina," Elise said.
"Bonjour...things are going well?" Merlina asked.
"Oh, Merlina! It's just like I ever dreamed it would be!" Elise said. "Last night, we kissed for the first time...it was amazing!"
"That's wonderful news!" Merlina said. "As it so happens, I have some news of my own to share! I have been after my boyfriend to propose for six months. So far, nothing. Today, my horoscope read 'Prepare for a major relationship change in the coming week'. It can mean only one thing! He is going to ask me to marry me!" So Elise went to Jordan's restaurant to start the day. When the day ended, Jordan came in with one of his customers. He said he loved the restaurant and it was worth every penny.
"A two star rating from the Mobius guide? Wow!" Elise said.
"In Soleanna, anything less than two stars and the hotels stop recommending you to their guests," Jordan said. "I've spent much of my life chasing those stars. If I should lose one, I'd be finished. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a few things to take care of. I'll catch up with you when I can." Then he walked away but Elise saw a little box with an engagement ring. Elise was amazed.
