All right. More slight filler, but only for the sake of introducing all the main players and recurring characters. AND ESTABLISH THE SCHEMING! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This is playing out in my head like a television drama - hence all the soapiness. :D La fee francaise, Madame Fleur Delacour-Weasley, est arrivee. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: You know the drill. I don't own it. But I wish to all things good that I did.

Half an hour or so later, Molly was busy in the kitchen, preparing food that smelled, as usual, delicious. Even the baby, who'd been disturbed by the dust-up, was placated by the aroma.

"Gin, can I ask you a question?" Draco asked, taking a seat next to Ginny. Hermione was in the kitchen, helping Molly with supper, so he was safe.

"No," Ginny joked. "Got your answer?"

"Gin, I'm serious," Draco said, looking down at the baby. "It's about Hermione."

"No, she isn't going to run off with Ron, if that's what you're so worried about," Ginny answered exasperatedly.

"That's not it either," Draco retorted. "I want you to come with me to help me...pick out an engagement ring."

Ginny squealed in excitement.

"Shut up, Gin!" Draco hissed, glancing around. "She doesn't know. She hasn't even the faintest. And now this idiot" - he glanced at Ron - "is here and he'll find some way to upset it all, so... I need your help."

"Consider me drafted," Ginny grinned with a salute. "But you'll need more than just my help to keep this wanker away from Hermione while we're out."

"What are you suggesting?" Draco asked.

"I'm saying that you should tell the other girls to distract Hermione away from the city, and tell the blokes to keep Ron occupied," Ginny explained, lowering her voice. "We don't want him within miles."

"You're right," Draco agreed. "I'll tell Blaise and Harry and the rest. You tell all the girls. Make them swear not to tell Hermione. In the meantime, we'll come up with a plan of action for when I spring the surprise on her."

"Sounds like a fine plan," Ginny said. "Now, can you hold James for a bit?"

"Sure thing," Draco replied, taking the baby from Ginny. The moment the bundle was deposited into his arms, he felt his heart melt. It felt quite stupid and romantic for him to think so, but there it was. The baby blinked up at him innocently, its gaze making him realize forcefully that he wanted one of his own more than anything. And he wanted one with Hermione.

Green flames exploded in the fireplace, jerking Draco out of his thoughts. The baby started crying in distress at being disturbed. Draco started and shushed James, rocking him gently. He calmed down almost immediately.

"Ze baby seems to like you vairy much, Draco," a throaty, heavily accented voice said from the vicinity of the fireplace.

"Ah, bonjour Fleur, comment allez-vous?" Draco asked, approaching the beautiful, part-Veela woman. To his surprise, unlike while he was at school, he didn't feel an ounce of attraction towards her. He must be perfectly happy with Hermione. (A/N: THE SIGNS THAT THEY'RE PERFECT! EEEEE!)

"Ca va," Fleur replied wearily. "Il me semble que je travaille toujours."

"Fleur! So nice of you to make it!" Molly gushed, embracing her daughter-in-law.

"Molly!" Fleur responded, kissing Molly's cheeks. "So nice to see you."

"How is Gabrielle?" Molly asked.

"She is doing well," Fleur replied. "She wanted so badly to come, but she had her exams to take. I was going to breeng 'er, but Maman and Papa said no streectly."

"That's unfortunate," Molly sighed.

"Ginny! Ees that you?" Fleur asked, apparently shocked. "You look so pale!"

"Come on, Fleur, we know you mean fat," George grinned.

"No, I deed not," Fleur snorted disdainfully. "Stop being a...quel est le mot...ah, oui, a preek. Stop being a preek, George. You worry about your remaining ear."

Draco burst out laughing at this. George muttered something about phlegm and French cows, but Fleur's eyes flashed dangerously, challenging him to say it louder.

"Leesten, cheri, do not make light of a woman who 'as just given birth," Fleur warned him. "Zat ees when our muscles are ze strongest."

"Yeah, listen to the wife," Bill said. "She's right Georgie." George scowled.

"Right, you lot, supper's ready," Hermione announced, emerging from the kitchen.

Unable to wait any longer to eat Mrs. Weasley's delicious food, the group piled into the kitchen, arranging themselves around the dining table.

"Mrs. Weasley, that smells delightful," Blaise commented, just as Molly carried a colander of onion soup and set it down on the table.

"Thank you, dear," Molly responded warmly, waving her wand and mobilizing the rest of the food.

"Oh, pass the bread, please," Parvati requested. Hermione handed the basket over after taking slice for herself.

"Oh, Molly, I see you 'ave put my sourdough recette to good use," Fleur remarked, taking a bite of her bread.

"Yes, it really is lovely," Pansy agreed.

"I could eat an entire loaf," Dean put in.

"Oh, don't do that," Molly scolded. "You wouldn't be able to eat anything else."

"You haven't heard of the famed Quidditch Player's Appetite, have you?" Hermione joked, nudging Draco.

"Oh no, I know all about that," Molly laughed. "All of my children but one were Quidditch players."

"Well, I..." Percy began pompously.

"Oh, shut up, Perce," George snapped. "Go back to your books.

"You shut up, Lugless," Percy retorted amiably.

"Both of you shut up, or I'll hex you," Ginny ordered.

"Trust me, she'll make good on that," Harry warned them, buttering a roll and cutting himself a slice of shepherd's pie.

"Yeah, you don't want to know how many times I had to rush over to Harry's in the middle of the night to undo a Jelly-Legs Jinx so that he could get Ginny to the hospital," Draco volunteered, swallowing his food.

"Pregnant women," Seamus remarked.

"What was that, Seamus?" Lavender demanded, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing dearest," Seamus replied, hastily looking down.

And chapter 6! A nice, undramatic chapter filled with the usual Weasley banter. I liked it. Reminded me of when they were all friends (head-canon, of course). Soon, the big deal that happened to split Ron off from the family will be revealed, and more scheming will abound. WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT?! Oh wait...I just told you... **hides in shame corner** Stay Tuned! ^_^
