Me: Hey, guys. Here's chapter twenty-one to Elise's True Love.
Elise: What are you reading, Em?
Me: It's an R.L. Stine book called the Abominable Snowman of Pasadena.
Sonic: Sounds exciting. I love R.L. Stine. He is an awesome writer.
Me: I agree. Another book I have by him is the Stepsister 2. My speech teacher from high school had the Babysitter 2. Those books are cool, too. Anyway, here's the story. Enjoy.
Elise's Return, Chapter One, Heartbreak at Home Day 1
Back in Mobius, Elise's restaurant was a mess. There was a hole in the floor with a burst water pipe and it was raining outside.
"I can't believe she's coming home today of all days!" Elle replied. "She's going to have a fit!"
"Maybe we can put in a turtle pond," Matt said. "People like turtles." Then Jackie put in balloons next to the hole as Elise came to the restaurant. But when she stood in the doorway, she looked upset. Everyone tried to give her a warm welcome even with the hole and burst pipe. But Elise didn't except it because she was tired. Sonic came in and saw the mess and Jackie said it was a long story. Sonic thought Elise's trip looked a lot of fun so he decided he should not stay in Mobius any longer and to move away. When the day began a blond hedgehog came in.
"Looks like Elise is back! Is she around?" the hedgehog asked. "I'd sure love to say hi."
"Er...um...actually, Malcolm, she's pretty exhausted from her trip," Jackie said.
"Well, that's too bad," Malcolm said. "Tell her I stopped by, will ya?" Throughout the day, many other customers asked to see Elise so Jackie told them about Elise's exhaustion. But when he was done, Jackie began to miss Elise, too. When the day ended, Elle went to check on Elise. She was crying.
"Elise, what's wrong dear?" Elle asked.
"Nothing, mom. I'm fine," Elise sobbed and lay her head on Elle's legs.
"There, there, now...let it all out...we'll talk when you're ready," Elle said, stroking Elise's hair.
Elise's Return, Chapter 1, Heartbreak at Home Day 2
The next day, Elle and Matt were pondering why Elise hasn't come downstairs. So Jackie went to wake Elise up.
"Jackie? What are you doing?" Elise asked.
"Elise, I know you're upset, and if you want to talk about it, that's your choice..." Jackie said. "But your parents are worried sick and I won't make any excuses for you." So Elise went downstairs to start the day but she was still upset. When the day ended, Elise went upstairs. Elle blamed herself for giving that letter to Elise. But Matt said the time will come and Elise will feel better soon. Elle wasn't so sure about that.
Me: Oh boy, I hope time does heal Elise's wounds.
Sonic: Has this ever happened to you?
Elise: Like getting a broken heart due to a boy cheating on you?
Me: No, I only ever got a broken heart after breaking up with my boyfriends due to moving away. But I hope I do find love and get married someday. Don't forget to review.
