So it's been taking me awhile to put chapters up but I'm not planning on going months without posting anything. I'll try to at least get one chapter up a month at the least.
Chapter 7
Next Day...
"Remember! Every great wizard before us started out just like us! As students. If they can do it, why can't we?" Harry turned out to be a pretty good teacher with occasional help from Musa.
Today was the last time the DADA club was meeting until after holiday break. Harry, Hermione, and Ron were heading back to 12 Grimmauld Place, Headquarters, for the holidays. They would celebrate christmas there but Musa decided to stay at Hogwarts and spend christmas with the few that were staying there. The people staying at Hogwarts this year was pretty low. Madison, Jared (First year mentioned in beginning), and Luna were the only one Musa knew personally but majority staying were Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws.
As Harry was helping Ginny with her incendio Musa walked over behind Neville and watched him for a second quietly.
"Expelliarmus!" Everyone went silent as the girl's wand flew out of her hand. Musa smiled and came up bhind Neville and gave him a hug causing him to blush.
"Way to go Neville! I knew you could do it!" Everyone in the room snapped out of their shock and got huge grins before running over and congratulating Neville who was happier than he probably had been in a while. A few minutes later Ginny incinerated the training dummy leaving only ashes. Harry congratulated and all the girls laughed at her brothers faces. Musa walked up behind Fred and whispered in his ear.
"You better watch out for your little sister... Pretty intimidating, huh?" Fred smiled at sister and turned to Musa and agreed. Ron just stared at Ginny with his jaw dropped.
"Okay everyone! This was a great day! But it is our last meeting till after the holidays so everyone just do the best you can to practice by yourselves at home and enjoy yourselves then will pick everything back up after break." Harry smiled and watched everyone leave with a proud smile on his face. Musa came up next to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
"You've done great with everyone Harry. " He nodded a thanks to me before walking off to join Cho by the mirror that had articles and pictures posted all over it.. Musa smiled and left to the dorm.
The next day...
"Bye guys! Enjoy your holiday." Musa stood outside Hogwarts watching her friends head to the carriages that would take them to the Hogwarts express.
"Are you sure you don't want to come with us Musa? I'm sure Mrs. Weasley even got you a present and everything!" Musa smiled at Hermione's offer.
"Thanks for the offer but I'll be fine here. Just do me a favor and relax! You guys need a break from everything." The three friends agreed and climbed into the last carriage to be pulled out of sight by the Thestrals. Musa sighed and turned to walk to the great hall but instead Madison came running around the corner full speed running straight into Musa knocking her over.
"Wow Maddie... Why the sudden speed? That actually kind of hurt..." Musa sat up and helped the girl off of her before climbing back to her feet.
"Sorry Musa but I was just really excited! Come with me fast!" Madison grabbed Musa's hand and took off running down the hall towards the dorm dragging the confused fairy of music along with her. When they reached the fat lady's portrait Madison smiled.
"I brought her like you told me too!" Musa frowned. The lady never got involved in people's business. The fat lady hid a smile and opened the door. Madison ushered Musa in the door only to be crashed into by a taller girl knocking Musa over once again.
"MUSA!"
"What is with knocking me over to..." Musa's voice trailed off as she met the cerulean eyes of the girl on top of her.
"LAYLA!" Musa pulled Layla into a bone crushing hug who returned it just as fiercely.
"How'd you find me? How'd you get here? What do you know abou what's going on? Where are the other girls?" Layla just laughed at Musa's sudden questions.
"Calm yourself Musa. Mrs. Fargonda told me where you are and I transported here. She also explained the situation in as much detail as she knew. As for the other girls, they were all to busy to come no matter how bad they wanted to, that is if they knew. I'm the only person Faragonda told for certain reasons." Musa stared at Layla with a smile on her face then seemed to remember something.
"OH! Layla! This is Madison! She's a first year here and my new roommate and friend." Madison smiled and shyly waved at Layla. Layla laughed and pulled Madison into a hug.
"Thanks for watching over Musa little one! She needs someone to keep her out of trouble. She needs someone to watch that attitude and keep her from saying something she regrets." Musa rolled her eyes and Madison giggled.
"Let's go get something to eat. I'm starving and I'm sure you are too. Don't want to miss dinner." The three girls walked downstairs and into an almost empty grand hall where they found tables of food. Madison ran for the gryffindor table and sat down while Layla and Musa followed her a little slower. Layla leaned over and whispered to Musa.
"You seem a little shorter... You're an adorable teenager." Musa lightly punched Layla in the arm.
"I only made myself six years younger than you." Layla laughed and they sat down with Madison at the table and began to eat. Madison sat quietly and ate her food while Layla and Musa spent the meal laughing and talking about their pasts vaguely, careful not to say anything that shouldn't be known. After a while they suddenly realized that the few students who had stayed behind had filled in to the grandhall for dinner and they were all staring and whispering at the older girl sitting with Musa and Maddie. When the girls realized musa stood up.
"Come on girls. We should probably go now." Layla looked around at the students and gave a couple slytherins a death glare causing them to immeadiately drop their gazes to the floor.
"Yeah sounds good." Madison agreed then stood up and walked out followed closely by Musa and Layla. When they reached the stairs they heard a voice.
"Musa! Madison! Wait up!" Layla turned towards the voice for a second before realizing that both Madison and Musa had kept walking. If anything they had sped up... So she shrugged and turned to follow them when the boy yelling for them grabbed her wrist. The three girls all froze when Malfoy grabbed her wrist. The second that he grabbed her wrist Musa spun around and yelled out a spell towards Malfoy.
"Expelliarmus!" Layla frowned and threw up a morphix shield blocking the spell then yanked her wrist out of Malfoy's hand. Malfoy just froze in shock.
"What the hell was that for Musa?! He just grabbed my wrist! He didn't even have his wand out or anything!" Musa narrowed her eyes and opened her mouth to say something only to be interupted by Malfoy.
"You're like her too! You can do it too! B.. your's was pink! What are you guys? WHat is wrong with you guys?" Madison flinched at Malfoy's yelling and Layla turned to Musa without a word. Musa sighed.
"Alright Malfoy if you really want to know you have to earn it. That means trust and respect. That begins with 2 things." He hesitated then nodded.
"First never bully Hermione or call her a mudblood and back off Potter too. Second make a magical contract with me." His jaw dropped at the last requirement.
"A magical contract?" Musa nodded and he swallowed hard before thinking quietly.
"Fine. I'll hear out the magical contract." Musa nodded and stepped forward. With a wave of her wand a contract appeared in front of him along with a quill. He studied the contract before meeting Musa's eyes curiously. Then he pricked himself with the quill before using it to sign his name on the contract in blood. Musa studied his face then snapped her fingers, causing the contract to vanish.
"I'll talk to you later Draco." Then she turned away and walked away with Madison and Layla. When they got back Layla didn't know what to say and Madison didn't feel comfortable saying what she wanted to. Musa looked at the two girls and sighed.
"First I'll explain to Layla. That boy challenged me to a dual. When I agreed and we bagan our dual he fractured my shin, and disarmed me. I wouldn't mind since it was fair and all but then he used crucio. It's an unforgiveable spell that tortures the victim with immense pain. I used a shield to block it then disarmed him, tied him up, blind folded him, silenced him, and changed his hair to red. Then I walked away and left him there overnight." Layla's jaw dropped not knowing what part to be the most shocked about.
"What happened to you Musa? You've changed..." Musa sighed sadly.
"I don't since I began using this... this umm.. magic I've felt different. But it's for the best Layla. Besides Im still me!" Layla smiled sadly and pulled Musa into her arms.
"I know you are. I don't care if you've changed. You're still Musa." Musa smiled and stepped out of Layla's hug then turned to Madison.
"I'm sorry about all this. Honestly I do trust you but I'm not the only one affected if I tell you so I ask you too please understand my not telling you much." Madison nodded understandingly.
"I figured that out myself. What I wanted to know was about the contract you made." Musa laughed and gave Maddie a smile.
"Let's just say Draco won't be helping bust our little Defense group anymore. You can figure the rest out later."
BAM! Haha you guys don't know what Draco promised exactly in that contract!
Don't worry though. You'll find out eventually. Actually probably in the next chapter!
Sorry about how inconsistent the lengths of my chapters are. Especially since they've been getting shorter. I'll try to start making them longer again.
