Chapter 10

By the next day another sign was nailed up.

Dolores Jane Umbridge has replaced Albus Dumbledore as Head of Hogwart's school of witchcraft and wizardry.

Then Filch proceeded to remove all the magical portraits other than those protecting the dorms of students. After that everyone included in Dumbledore's Army, or atleast those who signed up on the parchment Umbridge discovered where gathered together to be punished in a large classroom. Everyone sat quietly and wrote the lines as Umbridge watched with satisfaction at the pain that crossed their faces. Musa looked around as she wrote and smirked when she saw the twins' deathglares at Umbridge. She knew that look meant they were going to get revenge. Half an hour later the large group was dismissed and hurriedly left the room. As people flowed out Cho waited outside the door until Harry came through.

"Harry?" Harry ignored her and walked around her. Musa hesitated as she made eye contact with Cho but scowled and walked away. No way would she forgive Cho so quickly for such a betrayal. For the next few days Harry insisted that it was all his fault. Musa and the trio were walking across the bridge heading away from the school.

"Harry. If it was anyone's fault it was ours!" Hermione sighed sadly. Ron nodded.

"Yeah we talked you into it!" Harry shook his head and turned to look out towards the horizon.

"Yeah, but I agreed... I tried SO hard to help, but all I've done is make things worse." Musa rolled her eyes.

"Harry, honestly I agreed to so if you're to blame I am too. But still, you did help. Think of how much better those students you helped are at spells now! You've given them all a chance, what matters now is what they do with that chance and what Voldemort's next move is."

"Pssst!" The group turned to their left and looked towards the forest to see Hagrid beckoning them to follow him.

"Hagrid?"

The four looked between each other then hurried after Hagrid as he turned and lumbered into the dark woods. He seemed very troubled as he babbled. Suddenly a group of Centaurs ran past them a few feet away, their hooves making the ground shake.

"I've never seen the centaurs so wound up! They're dangerous creatures at the best of times! The ministry restricts their territory much more, they're gunna have a full uprising on their hands!" Hermione looked very shaken up by the centaurs angry yells.

"Hagrid, what's going on?!"

"I'm sorry to be so mysterious. In fact I would be bothering you four at all but with Dumbledore gone and all, well, it's likely I'll be getting the sack sometime soon and I just couldn't leave without telling someone about him." Suddenly a giant stepped out from behind a tree.

"Gropy! Down here ya great buffoon!" The giant slowly turned around shaking the ground with his steps.

"I brought you some company!" The large giant looked down at the four before rushing towards them only to be stopped abruptly by a rope around his ankle.

"I couldn't just leave him! Well because, he's my brother. Half-brother really." Gropy bent down to get a closer look at the teens.

"He's completely harmless, just like I said. Just a little high-spirited is all." Hermione took another step back but tripped over a root. As she glanced back to catch herself Gropy's arm shot out reaching for her but Musa noticed and pushed Hermione fully down out of the way only to be instead picked up by the giant. She went stiff and paled a bit in his large hand.

"Gropy! That is not polite!" Harry seemed panicked by the big guy.

"Hagrid do something!"

"We talked about this! You do not grab, do you? That's your new friend Musa." Ron being the idiot he is ran at the giant with a stick and swung hard only for it to break against Gropy's leg. Gropy then lightly tapped Ron with his foot sending Ron stumbling back. Musa sighed and stuck her finger in the giant's face.

"Gropy! Put. Me. Down." Gropy stared at her for a second.

"Now." Musa spoke firmly and he hesitated before lightly placing her on the ground. She took a step back to again stand next to Hermione, who'd had stood back up, and Harry. Harry looked at her worried.

"You okay?" Musa resisted rubbing her throbbing side and nodded to Harry.

"Just got a firm hand is all." Hermione watched the giant carefully as she spoke.

"I think you got an admirer.." The four kids and Hagrid watched as Gropy grabbed a bike handle from a junk pile next to his tree and stumbled back over towards them. He rang to bell on it then held it out to Musa who reached out and rang it for him. Gropy got a big smile on his face and sat down happily with his bike handle to ring. Hagrid turned back to us smiling sadly.

"He's got his own food. It's company he'll be needing when I'm gone. You'll look after him won't ya?" Musa and Hermione smiled as the giant sat happily playing with the bell like a small child.

"I'm the only family he's got." Harry glanced at the girls and seeing the smiles nodded to Hagrid confirming his question.

As Harry rounded a corner on his way to the Gryffindor Tower he heard quiet sobs. He looked around and found Musa crouched in front of a bench holding a small first year girl who was crying, close to her chest.

"Shhhh, it's going to be fine..." She lightly stroked the girl hair comforting her. The twins sat on the bench next to the two girls trying to help.

"It's fine really..."

"Yeah the pain goes away after a while!"

"Ahem!" They turned to see Umbridge in the doorway. She smiled and looked at Harry.

"Like I said Harry. Naughty children deserve to be punished." She smiled and looked Musa in the eye who glared right back at her. Then Umbridge walked away. Fred and George stood up.

"You know George. I've always felt our futures lay outside the world of academic achievement."

"Fred. I've been thinking exactly the same thing..."

The next day while the entire fifth year was taking their Theory of Charms OWL's under Umbridge's supervision there was a bang at the door. Umbridge frowned and everyone turned to look at the door. Musa smiled and just finished her exam as quicly as possible knowing it must be Fred and George doing some prank.

Umbridge hurriedly walked down the aisle and opened the large doors. after a second a spark hovered in front of her face before flying into the exam hall and exploding into a single set of fireworks. She frowned and stepped farther into the hall. She only had to a wait a few seconds before Fred and George swooped into the hall on their broom sticks. Kids began to cheer and papers flew everywhere. They fleww aorund the room throwing fireworks. Several attacked certain people while others just flew around the room. Musa smiled and held her hands up making an Irish jig start playing around the room as kids danced and laughed. This went on a few minutes before Fred smiled at George.

"Ready when you are!" George threw a large firework up and flew away from it. It exploded in a bunch of fireworks that formed the head of a Dragon. The Dragon then flew straight at Umbridge who squealed like a little pink pig as she ran away towards the doors out of the room. As soon as she got out of the room the Dragon bit down around her and exploded. All the decrees she had made exploded with the fireworks and fell to the floor around her. Then the twins flew into the courtyard followed by the entire fifth year and anyone else around.

They made the fireworks into a W for Weasley in the sky and the cheers were deafening. Even Proffessor Flitwick cheered. But as the students cheered two of them stayed quiet and one fell to the ground holding a scar on his forehead. The pair stared dazed ahead of them as they sat on the rock ground not seeing what was in front of them.

"I want that prophecy." Voldemort walked around Sirius Black as he spoke. Sirius stared defiantly back at Voldemort.

"You'll have to kill me." Voldemort stopped and raised his wand.

"Oh, I will but first you'll bring me it. CRUCIO!" Sirius cried out in pain as he writhed in pain on the cold marble floor."

A swirling glowing crystal ball...

The minister stands with Lucius in front of a door in the ministry halls...

Then Musa collapsed just as Hermione reached her. As Musa swayed on her feet Hermione reached out and supported her. Harry scrambled up off the ground.

"Sirius."

His one word had three kids running down the hallway led by Musa. Hermione rushed after her and Harry.

"Harry are you sure?" Musa answered for him.

"I saw it too! Just like last time!" Harry rushed ahead of them explaining where he was going and why as Hermione's concerns were shoved aside by Harry's concerns for Sirius. Musa ignored them and rushed ahead up the stairs.

"We have to use the floo network. All of them are being monitored except for one. Umbridge's office! We'll have to use hers." Hermione and Harry rushed after Musa towards Umbridge's office leaving Ron back in the courtyard in their rush.

The trio quietly entered the office and closed the door behind them. Harry rushed to the fireplce and turned to the two girls.

"Alert the order if you can." Hermione frowned.

"We're coming with you Harry!" He shook his head.

"It's too dangerous!" Musa grabbed harry's face in her hands forcing him to look at her.

"When are you going to get it in your head that we're in this together?!"

"That you are!" The three turned to find Umbridge standing in doorway.

A few minutes later some of the students helping Umbridge filed in each holding onto a member of the DA. The last to come in was Draco holding onto Luna Lovegood. Hermione glared him down and he just winked at Musa.

"You were going to Dumbledore weren't you?" Harry sat up straighter in his chair as he glance around the room at the other students.

"No!" A crack echoed around the room as Umbridge slapped Hary across the face. As she was about to get more vicious Snape walked in.

"Ah. Severus. It's time to get some aswers wether they want to give them or not. Have you brought the Veritaserum?" Snape glanced around the room pausing on Draco's horrified look at him.

"Unfortunately you've used my stores up interrogating students. The last of it on Ms. Chang." He gave everyone a second for that to sink in before continuing.

"So unless you wish to poison him, and believe me I would have the greatest sympathy if you did, I cannot help you." Harry frantically looked around as Snape turned to leave and Musa took a deep breath before speaking loudly and ignoring the looks she got from Draco, and all of the DA except Harry, Hermione, and Ron who had gotten brought in by Goyle.

"He's got Padfoot!" Snape stopped walking.

"He's got Padfoot at the place where it's hidden!" Snape stood in the doorway as Umbridge looked at Musa and then Snape.

"Snape! What does she mean? What's Padfoot?!" He hesitated before turning around wide-eyed.

"I have no idea." But as he said that he made eye contact with Musa and she saw the recognition as he walked out of the office briskly.

"well then..." Umbridge turned to her desk shakily.

"As this is a matter of Ministry security you leave me no choice. The Cruciartus Curse ought to loosen your tongue." To everyone's surprise except for Musa it was Draco who spoke for everyone.

"But that's illegal..." Umbridge didn't notice. She just reached out and lightly put the picture of the minister face down on her desk.

"No matter. What Cornelius doesn't know can't hurt him." She raised her wand and opened her mouth but before she could say the curse Hermione burst.

"Tell her Harry!" Musa caught onto what she was doing before Umbridge replied.

"Where what is?" Musa smiled for a second beofer putting on a frown and replying for her while looking at Hermione.
"Dumbledore's secret weapon." Hermione locked eyes with Musa as Umbridge smiled with glee and led the two girls out leaving Harry and the other under watch by her 'special, loyal' students.

Musa and Hermione grabbed each other and held hands nervously as the stepped into the forbidden forest with Umbridge's wand pointed at them. Hermione was shaking and Musa squeezed her hand reassuredly as the led Umbridge deeper into the forest.

"Where is it!?" Musa knew Hermione's voice would probably shake so she spoke instead.

"Not far. It had to be where no student would stumble upon it." When the trio reached the place Musa and Hermione slowed down. The rope tied around the tree was broken. Gropy was gone. Hermione started panicing and Musa resigned to her fate as she squeezed Hermione's hand and smiled at her. If Gropy wasn't here then the secret weapon would just have to be Musa herself. She knew the fairy part wouldn't be a secret forever.

"Where is it? Where is the secret weapon?" Umbridge looked between the two girls.

"There isn't one is there? You were trying to trick me! You know, I really hate children..." Just as Musa was about to release the magic to change forms they heard a loud snap and the ground shook. Umbridge turned around and nervously stepped back. A group of centaurs were standing in front of us.

"You have no business here centaur! This is a Ministry matter!" Umbridge shook with fear as she tried to seem in charge. The center centaur took a step forwards and loaded an arrow before raising it at Umbridge. The others followed his motion and soon they each had their bow raised and loaded.

"Put down your weapons! I order you! Under the decree of the ministry creatures of near-human intelligence..." Musa winced at that insult to centaurs and they released there arrows only to find them blocked by a wave of Umbridge's wand.

"How dare you filthy half-breed!" The center one snarled. Umbridge shouted out a spell that the two girls didn't recognize and a rope shot out of herwand wrapping the centaur up and strangling him. The poor thing rolled down the slight hill writhing as he tried to free himself. Hermione fell to her knees and tried to untangle the rope before turning to Umbridge.

"Stop it please!" Umbridge seemed pleased with herself.

"NO! I will have order!" Musa looked over Umbridges shoulder and watched as Gropy picked her up by her jacket. After loosing her concentration the lead centaur unwrapped the rope and stood as all the centaurs rushed towards Gropy and Umbridge. They couldn't reach umbridge so they began shooting at Gropy.

"NO! STOP IT! He doesn't understand!" Hermione pulled Musa around them and they watched as Gropy got a hurt look on his face and dropped umbridge pulling his arm away and backing up.

"Help! Tell them I mean no harm!" Musa smiled at Umbridge.

"Sorry I must not tell lies." Umbirdge squealed and yelled random things as the centaurs carried her away. Musa smiled at the giant.

"Thank you Gropy!" Hermione grabbed Musa and they ran back towards the school. When they reached the bridge they found Luna, Neville, Ginny, Ron and Draco running towards them. Hermione scrunched up her eyebrows confused.

"How'd you get away?" Ginny smiled

"I punched Goyle in the face distracting them long enough for Draco to turn his wand on the others! Then he returned our wands!" Hermione looked confused my Musa smiled at Draco. Instead of smiling back he spoke.

"Harry is going to the Ministry without us!" Musa forwned.

"How?" This time Neville answered.

"He ran outside and when we caught up he was gone! We don't know how he traveled." Musa frowned deeper.

"How will we get there?" Luna spoke up from the back happily.

"We fly of course!" Musa laughed and Luna lead the group to the patch of the forest filled with thestrals. Within a few minutes everyone was the back of a thestral and on their way to the ministry.
