Solaris woke up to find a small female face hovering over him. If it wasn't for the fact this wasn't the first time this happened, and that he recognised the face he probably would have freaked. The face of the red haired tanned teenager was currently levitating over Solaris's previously sleeping form. This was one of Jessica's spirits and it looked like she had a message for them.
"Hello Blaze, how are you?" Solaris asked sitting up and the spirit called Blaze smiled.
"Hello little sunshine, I got a report from Jessica so do you want to hear it now or wait until Valiant gets back?"
"Let's hear it," A voice said and both turned to see Valiant walk into the room carrying a bag. "I brought some breakfast, want any Blaze?"
The spirit floated over to the bag and had a look inside before smiling brightly and pulling out a breakfast sandwich. Valiant tossed Solaris his own sandwich before sitting down and pulling out his own.
"Anyway," Blaze started a few seconds later after taking a bite from her sandwich. "I've been keeping an eye on that group Jessica told me to tail, they're actually staying in those hotel two floors below us in five different rooms."
"Well what are we going to do now, we can shadow walk out of the hotel -,"
Valiant cut Solaris off "I think we should confront them plain and simple. They come all this way to meet us, so it would be rude not to at least see them face to face. Also they're on our territory now so it would be stupid of them to try and do anything. Blaze are they all still in their rooms?"
The fire spirit cocked her head to the side concentrating. "Yep, a few are still asleep the others are talking and preparing a plan, nothing yet so I can't tell you what but it sounds like they're going to look around the city."
"We'll they'll have to pass through the hotel restaurant to leave, well wait there. Also if they are stupid enough to try something in the hotel then we won't have to bother with them, the staff will do that for us." Valiant smiled slightly.
"Yep the Dawn Hotel, no fighting allowed between anyone is allowed, you've never stayed here before so you wouldn't know." Blaze nodded at Solaris. "Trust me when I say you do not want to get on the bad side of the hotel staff."
"Wait isn't this one of those hotels that -"
"No, there is more than one Dawn Hotel and while this one and a few others are stationary there are a few that move around." Valiant explained.
"….Oh."
Five minutes later they were sitting in the restaurant, both Jessica and Emerald was with them, Valiant having called and explained the situation they rushed over as fast as possible. With Jessica's shadow walking them to the hotel entrance it took no time for them. Valiant was currently playing chess against Emerald on his smart phone and losing while Solaris was talking about symbols with Jessica.
It didn't take long for the group of ninja's to appear. They paused seeing Solaris and Valiant sitting at the table with Emerald and Jessica. They made their way over almost running, well Kushina and Madoka were running while Hikari followed them at a more sedate pace looking conflicted. The other older ninja's were taking positions and the younger ones were standing around.
"Now before you try anything you should know that there is no fighting allowed in this hotel. You don't want to know what happens if you break that rule, the hotel staff really don't like it when there rules are broken." Valiant said. "Pull up a couple of tables; I think we have a lot to talk about."
Everyone was seated around the tables a few minutes later. Most of the ninja's were blushing and sneaking glances at Valiant, Jessica noticing this giggled slightly and spoke. "Let me guess all of you have fallen in love with Valiant, oh don't look so surprised. You see anyone who comes into contact with him will fall in love with Valiant; it's just part of his magic. It'll fade in time but it'll never go away and nobody is immune to it."
"That's….." Kakashi Hatake spoke but was interrupted by Kurenai.
"Impressive, so I take it this is some type of Illusion using this magic we heard about?"
"A glamour not an illusion, magic has what we call two different types of what you would consider Genjutsu. But magic isn't separated into things like Ninjutsu, Genjutsu or Taijutsu. For us magic is separated into two categories, Adept and Elemental magic." Valiant explained. "Now isn't the time for a magic lesson though, you're here looking for Solaris aren't you."
"Naruto?" Kushina asked remembering that was the name her son was going by now.
"Solaris, you see for magic names are important and Solaris went through a ritual to discover his true name. This would allow someone to use their full magical potential. Like a ninja unlocking all eight of their celestial gates except without any side effects but much more powerful than that as well." Valiant was in his full blown lecture mode. "You see everyone is born with three names magical or not, there given name the one they get at birth, there taken name a name they choose for themselves and their true name. He went through the ritual and found his true name, Solaris. A fitting name given that Solaris means in an ancient language 'Of The Sun.'"
"Can anyone use magic?" Jiraiya asked.
"No, you have to be born with it. Except in certain special circumstance." Valiant told them. "Solaris proved that he was born with it when he walked into my shop in Konoha. I made it so only people with magic could see the shop. But anyway I think it's time we get back to the main reason they're here. Kushina you came here with a purpose didn't you? So let's get down to business so to speak."
Everyone turned to the red haired woman, even all the others at the separate tables in the room. You could feel the tension building up as the people waited for Kushina to speak.
"Do you mind this is kind of personal?" Jessica said loudly while looking around the room.
Everyone went back to their own business leaving the group alone.
Emerald shook her head "No respect for privacy these days."
"What makes you think there ever was?" Solaris sighed.
"Na-Solaris I….." Kushina had no idea what to say, she had been thinking about it all this time but now she was face to face with the situation she lost all her thoughts.
Solaris scratched the back of his head feeling nervous; he honestly never expected to be in this situation. Facing his mother like this in his own home was bringing up a lot of old feelings. While he could say he didn't hate her there was a lot of anger there, anger and sadness. Maybe it was time to truly get over them instead of ignoring it. While they can never be a true family in that sense anymore, both living in two separate worlds, maybe they can bury the past and move forward. But it would take a lot of time to heal over the past.
"Well -" Solaris spoke but was cut off by a ringing coming from Valiant's phone.
"Hello? Well is it serious…That does sound bad…..Yes we'll be there in an hour." Valiant cut the call and sighed. "Well children we'll have to delay this meeting for another time, Solaris we have a case."
