Solaris and Emerald started off their little demonstration spar with a small warm up. Some punches along with kicks thrown here and there which were dodged or blocked by the other. The three girls from Konoha, well two girls and one woman were sitting to the side waiting for the real fighting to start. They wanted to see just what this magic stuff could really do. Madoka remembered seeing what Solaris could do back in Konoha and Kushina also remembered the time when Solaris and Valiant fled Konoha.
Just as the two were about to get really started on their fight they were interrupted by Valiant.
"Solaris get ready, I found where Jade's family lives." Valiant told him.
Solaris sighed "We're going to tell them what happened?"
"I told Swan I would do it, she also wants us to drop by the Sanctuary, apparently they've had some unexpected visitors." Valiant started to leave but then turned back around pointing at the three kunoichi. "You lot should come as well."
"Why?" Solaris asked.
"Judging by the description of the people who broke into the Sanctuary they're ninja's of some type. They should realise undercover means not having anything to identify you." Valiant just shook his head in mock disappointment.
"That's just sad, but not surprising from what I remember." Solaris said.
"Good let's…" Valiant paused when they reached the kitchen.
Sitting there were Jessica and the other ninja's, most of them missing a few pieces of clothing. The cards Jessica who was still completely clothed was dealing out told them everything they needed to know on the situation. The only ninja's not left in their underwear was Jiraiya, Hinata who had unusual luck with cards, Lee and Shino.
After a moment Valiant started to speak again, "Jessica you and Emerald look after the rest of the group, and who here would be considered the one in charge."
"That would be me." Jiraiya said.
"Good come with me, there's some stuff a couple of people need to speak to you about. It's nothing serious so don't worry you know a meeting with our government and all that concerning some unwelcome visitors that tried to sneak into the sanctuary, boring really but needs to be done." Valiant told him.
"There won't be enough room in the car if we're bringing them." Solaris pointed to Kushina, Hikari and Madoka.
"Sure there will, come on then let's go, and someone make sure he doesn't drool all over the place." Valiant pointed at Asuma who was staring at Kurenai who lost her shirt just before they were interrupted by Valiant.
Ten minutes later they were driving along, Solaris in the passenger seat, the people from Konoha managing to fit into the backseat without anyone having to sit in each other's lap. Hikari and Madoka were staring outside the windows watching the scenery and other cars go past with awe.
"We'll go to the Sanctuary, sort out whatever happened there then head off to Jade's sister's place." Valiant told Solaris.
"Are we dropping them off at the Sanctuary or are they coming with us?" Solaris asked.
"They're coming with us."
"Well this is going to be awkward." Solaris muttered and was quiet for the rest of the trip, going over the facts they had on their current case in his head which was admittedly not much.
"So this is a car, I got to admit I wouldn't mind having something like this. Would make things a lot easier," Jiraiya said.
"I know of trains, but they are in the Land of Snow. Nowhere else seemed to bother with it." Kushina mentioned.
"That's because you're too used to using chakra, it's kind of this way is easier so I won't bother trying to use other methods type of thing. That type of thinking causes stagnation in a culture as they focus on only one thing. Most of the technology you do have, your electrical system, TV's, etc. etc. are all remnants of technology left behind before the civilisation during the times of the sage of six paths. Maybe if that woman didn't eat that fruit then you would be far more advance in terms of technology, but what's done is done." Valiant told them.
"What woman?" Jiraiya asked.
"How do you think chakra came into existence? Long story short I created the method that would bridge a person's mental and physical energy, in the form of a fruit. I was a fan of this anime when I was younger where people gained special powers by eating certain fruits. Anyway a woman known as Kaguya Otsutsuki ended up climbing the tree and eating the fruit giving her the ability to use chakra, the very first chakra wielder. Although this activated the security system with turned the tree the fruit was grown from into the creature known to you as the ten tailed beast, which would then be defeated by Kaguya's son, Hagoromo Otsutsuki who was otherwise known as the Sage of Six Paths." Valiant explained to the Konoha ninjas who were paying close attention.
"So you really are that old then?" Kushina asked.
"For Sorcerers our magic slows down our ageing, sometimes to the point of stopping it entirely. Jessica is a lot older then she appears, so is Emerald and of course Valiant is well over a thousand years old." Solaris was the one to answer this time.
Valiant shrugged and took a turn exiting the highway. "You get used to it, living as long as we do, but I remember the days before. Sorcerers were a lot less in number and Chakra didn't exist. There were around eight billion people on the planet and sorcerers only made up about three percent of that number. I was also the only person in my family born with magic. I never told them what I could do….oh magic was a secret back then, people who could use it had their own secret society that was kept from the rest of the world. It's my one true regret that my family never knew who I really was. Anyway we're here."
Valiant parked his car outside a large, beautiful glass building in the shape of a dome. It was surrounded by other buildings and facilities and there were a lot of people walking around, entering and exiting the buildings are just sitting outside enjoying their lunch.
"Welcome to the Sanctuary."
