If you were one of the few who read my new chapter after it was posted...CONGRATUALTIONA! you actually read a part of the next chapter. *smacks myself* I really thought I deleted that, but oh well... Chapter 18: Most Important Girl in My Life

John's POV

I am watching the monitors with Takigawa-san along with the team Mr. Davis brought from BPR. It's already been three days and yet the mansion almost seemed to be sleeping. There has been an eerie silence and no activity since the arrival. I can't help but feel uncomfortable and feel like it is calm before the storm. I've been worried about Taniyama-san she seems to be so distracted recently as if she's drifting away from us, and she hasn't dreamed anything about the case since entering the house, even Masako is having a hard time pinpointing the spirit's behavior. I look to my left and see Takigawa trying very hard not to fall asleep. To my right Mr. Sanders is yawning but I can sense how alert and observant his trained eyes are set on the screens. On cue José and Ella walk in with a tray of coffee for us all and both men on my side groaned in appreciation. As Ella was distributing the coffee and José was getting back to his research one of the mics pick up something in the great room. There was silence in the base as each ghost hunter was carefully listening if it had been real or just an effect of drowsiness. We wait...until it was confirmed, we definitely heard mumbling.

"The temperature in the great room is dropping!" Kyle says

"I don't understand what its saying" Takigawa-san mutters in frustration and concentrates again.

"Oh my God!" Ella screams clutching her ears.

"What's wrong Ella?" José is quick and he is by her side.

"There are so many of them! They're all moaning and groaning and ARGH! It hurts" José rubs her back trying to comfort her as she leans on his chest still covering her ears.

"Fuck..." I heard Kyle say, personally I think it's wrong to say bad words but the look on his face was pure horror and I swear he was as pale as a sheet of paper.

"Kyle-san?" I tentatively ask

"A lot, there's a lot of them!" he says.

"Should we wake them up?" José asks still holding a freaked out Ella

"Yeah, I think everyone should be at the base now..." Kyle says, his eyes never move from the screen. I dial Shibuya-san's number and he groggily answers, I tell him the situation and his voice immediately became controlled.

"They will be here in five, good thing all of our rooms are connected and luckily it also connects to the base, at least it will be safe for them to come here." I sigh in relief and mutter a silent prayer.

"I'll go back them up" Takigawa-san stands and walks through the connecting door only to come face to face with the rest of the gang.

"Naru! Dang, you scared the shit out of me. Wait, I mean that I saw an Old red haired lady behind you and it scared the shit out of me" I turn my swivel chair around just in time for Ayako –san to land a smack on his head.

"I am amazed how you two can bicker at this moment" Cyril says with sleepy eyes.

"I can't believe those ghosts decide to turn up now, at three am! They have no timing seriously, why don't I just burn them?" Anise grumbles clearly annoyed...and tired, after saying that the sounds stop.

"Looks like they got your cue Anise" Cloi teased.

"Dr, Davis, this case isn't some joke, it is pretty dangerous and I think we should solve this quick and get out before-SHIT!" he curses and backs away from his seat. We all get confused and look at his direction, he was looking at Masako, and she has her head down. I see Shibuya-san push Mai behind her and away from Masako since she is the closest to her and on time an inhuman growl escapes her and screams like her voice is mixed with different people.

"HELP ME!"

"We're not crazy!"

"It's so painful"

"help"

"Please save us!"

"help!"

"I don't want to die!"

"You're all not getting out of here alive!" And she lunges at the nearest person which was Lia and strangles her. Cloi, Cyril and Eisen try to manhandle her but she was strong...since she was possessed. Lin and Alexis simultaneously call their shiki and it finally pushed Masako back releasing Lia in the process.

We thought they left Masako but we were wrong...

Masako started laughing evilly and the alternating voices returned. Her hands started bleeding since whoever is...are possessing her lets her nail dig through her arms. Knocking noises are heard and pounding is all over the place. Takigawa-san starts to chant until it clicks to me.

"No, Takigawa-san, you will hurt Hara-san if you try to exorcise them now, plus you will gather them at the base and we're going to be in trouble. Let me handle this." I take a deep breath and make the sign of the cross, silently asking for God's strength, courage and guidance. I take out my bible and start the exorcism.

"In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. Through him all things were made. The same was in the beginning and without him was not anything made that have been made." the spirits growled inside Masako's body and she arched her back and screamed.

"There came a man whose name was John..." she suddenly let out an ear piercing scream but nonetheless I continued my prayer. Lin is taking a stance if ever it tries to act violent again and Ella started screaming saying: "Stop talking at the same time! I can't understand all of you!" I am nearly at the end of my prayer but the activity is not subsiding. I concentrate more and feel myself being engulfed by the Holy Spirit.

"IN PRINCIPIO!" and Masako faints and Ella sobs quietly in José's chest.

Kyle Sanders's POV

"Dr. Davis, as I was about to say, we better hurry up and clean this shit before it gets worse or else we will be deep shit!" I ran my hands through my hair exasperated. I can believe what I just saw! I have never seen so many ghosts in my fucking life! They all look like crowded zombies outside the house, pressing their deformed face in the glass doors of the great room earlier. My stomach does summersaults as I feel whatever undigested in my stomach rising.

"What did you see?" Dr. Davis asks and for the record I was speechless. I do not have any words from what I saw, well I just described it earlier but I can say it...what the fuck! I feel scared whoa, was that really traumatic? My stupid face must be a giveaway as they kinda get how I'm pretty 'wordless' I am now. Just then this Kyouya kid stands up and walks towards me.

"I can help with that" he looks straight into my eyes and the scene replays in my head. Every one gasps out and I forgot this kid can mentally project, very convenient.

"O-kaayyy, I think we'd better get back to work. I'm still planning on taking my wife to dinner after this case and I'm planning to have a few more years as well" Dr. Davis nervously laughs, nervously huh? For someone who has been in this field for so long, you can actually be nervous. But then again, the fear will never leave you. Not even the number of years.

"Is it me, or did the temperature just drop?" Cloi cautiously asked. I sighed and looked at the kid then gasped. Oh fuck...

"Taniyama-san..." Shit! Major fuck! The little girl is standing behind her. I'm petrified as I see her reach her ghastly hands and cover Mai's eyes. She visibly stiffens and whimpers at the ghastly contact.

"Mommy I found you, I'm not going to let you leave me anymore" and with that Mai fell unconscious.

"Fuck, Lin do something!" whoa I never heard Prof. Davis cuss before but dang the activity is escalating again.

"This is so frustrating! Eisen can't we just burn this place down? It will be my pleasure" Anise says annoyed and she somehow managed to set the flowers on the center table alight. What is wrong with her temper? What is she PMS? Dang, not only do we have to stay on guard for ghosts but PMSing women! DEFCON 1, DEFCON 1!

"Don't act rashly Anise! And don't do anything to provoke them" their young leader chastised her and she pouts. Man I never know she pouts!

"I'm sorry" whoa! She actually heels! Good job man!

"Alexis can you do something about Mai's condition?" he asks

"I'm sorry the shiki I had on tail was forcibly cut off from her. I'm pretty sure she's astrally projecting right now but it will be dangerous if she goes to the limbo."

"Make sure her physical body is guarded" he says and I see a scowl on Prof.'s face. Man, what a fucking love triangle they have. Alexis reaches out to her limp body and has his arm hovering above her. He started chanting until Mai suddenly blots upright and shrinks in her seat and cries bloody murder. Things started levitating and shaking and glasses are breaking shit four of the monitors broke! At least it was the security monitors not BPR's, Wait! That's not the issue here. Mai is poltergeising and I didn't even know she has PK! As fast as I realized it, I was thrown out of my chair and hit my head on the wall...I see everyone was thrown as well. She was sobbing hysterically like she was reliving a tragedy and I can clearly see she is not possessed. Suddenly I feel like something was pushing me down and it's getting harder to breathe. I look at everyone and they're all crouched down like I am and is also struggling for air.

Then I realized it was gravity that was pushing us down.

Holy...she's as strong as the professor and her PK pars with him, I don't even want to think of the consequences. The SPR members are calling Mai hoping it would calm her down. But she is so freaked out she can't even hear them, except the stern voice that cracked the room and let us breathe properly again.

"Mai stop it!" EPA's young little leader says sternly, his jaw clenches and is visibly angry. His eyes are hard as he walks toward Mai and I realized he isn't affected by this at all. In an instant Mai stops wailing and tenses at his voice. He picks her up effortlessly and sets her on the sofa bed forcing her to lie down although she is still visibly shaken but he manages to complete his mission and places a kiss on her temple lovingly. Uh oh, someone is definitely not going to like that. He's got some balls to do it in front of all these people and I see that even his members were shell-shocked at what he did, even his stoic little ommnyouji. Mai relaxes and starts to breath evenly and closes her eyes peacefully, and just like that, this little commercial ends...geez, we just had an episode minutes ago.

"Just what the fuck is Mai to you" Dr. Oliver Davis says in his almighty-pissed-glory. Oh no, he's playing Alpha male at this time! With all these audiences? Martin is definitely intrigues by this little scene and watches his son square his shoulders and glare at man. If looks could kill...

"She's the most Important girl in my life"

He'd be dead right now...

A/N: I'm Sorry I really had to cut it now because it was supposed to conclude the title (if you have noticed my titles either conclude or must be the main idea of the chapter). I know I'm being a total bi*** not updating and stuff but life in college isn't really that easy and I still actually have midterms to take but since there's a holiday I took a break first and updated.
