Chapter 19: Senri
"NOLL!" Lin shouts when the air around Oliver becomes heavy and electricity starts to crackle around him...not good
Lin tried to stop him but lo and behold! The mighty Oliver Davis who crashed a 50-kg aluminum into the wall with his super PK powers...
Did not have an effect on him
Everybody gasped at the fighting scene in front of them. But what's more shocking is that Eisen lifted his arms and aimed it at Oliver and he was actually thrown back!
Oliver Davis was thrown back!
Lin rushed to his side while he groaned in pain. Eisen suddenly stands up and glares at Oliver, then turns to his team
"Stand up, we are finishing this tonight" he ordered and his team stood up like soldiers and followed him as he walks out.
"Senri..." Mai whispered but the awkward silence made it possible for everyone to hear it. She opens her eyes and reaches out to Eisen. He visibly stiffens but catches her hands and kneeled down.
"Don't worry, I'll make it go away, I'm going to protect you. Now sleep sweet girl." He kissed her knuckles then picks her up and walks out after saying
"Everyone, gather at the great room" well, he more like 'ordered' everyone
Alexis's POV
What the fuck was that! When did he decide to go all PDA with this brunette whim he just met weeks ago! She is clearly suspicious and I don't know what is her relationship with Eisen but the fact that she called him Senri...
And now his planning to do an exorcism!
He places the girl on the couch and looks at me giving me an inside message to look after her. I nod back but really, just who is this girl? Most important girl in his life?! what about Angelie!? I know there's something between those two. God I'm glad that she is actually called back to the states. Something happened to her grandfather and she thought she could help. Man this is starting to get so crazy
Eisen opens the lid of the piano and walks to the leather piano chair. Shit, he's serious. He never, ever publicly showed his abilities at school, not even in front of our team. Only I and Angelie know about his powers. He takes a deep breath and places his fingers on the black and white keys.
Noll's POV
Who the fuck does he think he is! And how dare he demand to bring us here to what? Witness a performance, I scoff and I feel someone glaring at me. I look at his team and see that feisty nerd Anise is glaring at me. Even Magnolia Gray looks upset. I forgot she's telephatic so I close my mind and I see her shock. What? I have a telephatic twin who god knows what he'll do when he gets a piece of my mind and he is dead now but is still bothering me.
Yeah right little bro, by the way, your cussing quite a lot now...Congratulations!

I cut off the link and watch that cocky Eisen take a deep breath and hit a chord and I feel the air become dense.

"Mommy?" I see mommy pack some of my clothes into this large leather luggage. I think we are going on a vacation! I am so excited, maybe were going to the beach. I get excited and release a toothed grin.
"Where are we going?" Mommy looked at me sadly, she looks like she is about to cry. Why mommy? Did someone hurt you.
"Were going to a hospital baby girl, you're sick and we need to get you healthy again." She explained to me while trying not to cry. Why does mommy feel like crying?
"But mommy, I feel fine. I don't think I'm sick" I batted my eyelashes at her.
"Oh baby girl, you are, you just don't know" she cried while pulling me close to her.
The taxi dropped us to a big scary mansion with lots of dead trees and a very, very, big gate. A huge security guy opened it for us while mommy held my hand the entire time. This place is spooky, I don't like it here. Suddenly, a woman dressed in a white gown came to meet us. She had blonde hair and very red lips, but I don't like her, she's scary. She had very long nails painted In red and I think they will hurt me. After mommy and the lady finished talking the lady looked at me and smiled. But it was a scary smile so I had to hide behind momma's legs.
"Hello precious, your mama said you are sick but don't worry, you'll be better in no time, but only if you promise that you'll do everything I say and drink your medicine so that you'll get better okay? Then mama can take you back" she took my hand and the big luggage mommy packed earlier. I held onto mommy's skirt, I don't want to go with this lady, mommy please!
"Honey please, I'll come see you when you're all better okay? Now please behave for Dr. Inori" she kissed my cheek and hugged me tight and gave me teddy before letting the lady take me away. I was crying and screaming not wanting mommy to leave me alone.
"Mommy! Mommy! Please don't leave me..."
"Baby you need to stay still so that we can inject you with your new medicine okay?" no, it's the lady again, I don't like injections, especially that. It hurts a lot! I try to run but to big men in white are holding my arms and legs down. I see the needle sink into my flesh while the lady pushes the plumber of the syringe.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!" I wail, it really hurts! The lady starts rubbing my arm and smiles but it doesn't reach her eyes.
"Baby it hurts because the medicine is sticky but its okay, you'll be fine" no I'm not! It really hurts, I keep on screaming as I feel the medicine throb in my veins. My vision starts to get blurry and I'm in so much pain. I hug teddy and wait for everything to turn black.
Mommy where are you?...
"Dr. The patient's heart rate reached 0" a nurse said.
"WHAT! Another reject?! Damn, the boss isn't going to like this. I haven't been able to pass a single psychic. Anyway, where should we dump the body then?"
"Dr., the backyard is full, we can't dump another body in there." The big gruff man replied.
"Well then burn it!" the doctor hissed.
"Right away maam" the gruff man poured gas all over the pale little girl and lit a matchstick.
"Oh, and send a letter to her mother telling her that she wasn't able to fight the illness and died. Send some flowers as well, geez! I thought experimenting on children would be successful! Children adapt faster after all DAMMIT!" she walked away from the burning corpse that was once an innocent child.
"mommy don't leave me..."
"What the hell?" a small burnt hand gripped one of the doctor's ankle. When she turned around she screamed. The little girl's burning body was crawling towards her in a sickening manner.
"Get off me you monster?!" the little girl stopped and showed its burnt gums and yellow teeth
"Monster? But you made me." She tilted her head innocently
"No! J make psychics! Not burning corpses" the little girl giggled
"But I am..." and there was a huge explosion.
¬Mai's POV
I froze
Psychic? Artificial psychics?!
"H-how could they do that to a child..." I fell on my knees, I can't imagine this sort of violence even existed. They treated her and probably other innocent people as lab rats!
"To create a god" I turned around and be face to face with the little girl. Her face is burnt...her whole body is burnt. Her sorrowful eyes look deep into mine and i feel my tears surfacing.
"Do you feel sorry for me?" she asked. She tilted her head sideward giving me an inquisitive look. Do i? This little girl deserves much more. She should be playing in the park surrounded by friends, go to school and probably be an honor student, grow up, have fun, live...
"Yes" I replied taking his burnt hand in mine. I looked straight into her beautiful brown eyes and when I take a closer look, she is actually a very beautiful girl. Bloody tears started to form in her eyes. She sniffed and hugged me, she smelled like burnt flesh but at that moment I didn't even notice it and hugged her back.
"Onee-chan, I want mommy." She sobbed.
"Then let's find her" I smiled and brushed her tear-stricken face. Her natural appearance emerging, I can now make out her black waves and pale baby skin. She giggled as I took her hand and led her amongst the dark space with white glowing orbs.
¬Eisen's POV
I opened my eyes and look at the great room now flooded with white orbs slowly disappearing. Even I pitied these many spirits seeking peace. How could somebody conduct such evil research? Was parapsychology really used as an inhumane lab experiment? Damn! I feel a gush of energy leave me and now I'm starting to feel dizzy. Shit, Alexis will definitely be pissed, I'm lucky Angelie isn't here or she'll go bat shit crazy! But this a small sacrifice to those souls who are chained to this place. Besides, I can't let them haunt Mai any further, she needs to rest. I noticed her psychic level has been wavering, Is she...
*crack*
The glass walls suddenly broke creating a mess of shards all over the place. I hissed from the several cuts I gained but stood up from the piano seat and checked on Mai, there's a barrier around her and I look at Alexis and thank him silently. He groaned while standing up, it seemed that the outburst earlier sent them flying.
"Kyaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!" I was startled by a scream that definitely belonged to Lia. I looked at her and saw that she was backed up in the corner of the great room pointing at the broken glass walls. When I followed my vision towards where she was pointing...
Everybody screamed or cussed except me, Alexis, Oliver Davis and his Chinese assistant.
There was a huge creature standing just outside the borders of the broken glass walls. It's upper body was that of a human while his lower extremities were that of a horse while its tail is that of a snake. It looks like a chimera but has a white mask with black holes as eyes and horns like that of a deer. It's twice my height and thrice my size and I figured that we should...
Run.
"Alexis!" on cue he chanted sending all of his shiki to distract the monster. I carried Mai and screamed at the others to pick up their asses and run. We all exited using the back door with the mansion's security to guide us. We were led into a mini forest not far from the mansion's backyard. We were running towards the gate hoping to reach our cars and leave this place but the sight of the entrance made me stop on my tracks, duck and hide behind the bushes. Everybody seemed to follow me and we were ducked in the bushes panting.
"What the fuck is going on?!" Kyle hissed as quietly as he could
"I agree with Mr. Sanders, this isn't really good for my heart." Professor Davis grunted.
"Besides, what are those things? They are certainly very twisted spirits." José retorted.
"They're hollows, the reason why were hiding in the bushes right now is because of those gillians. I really can't explain any better but they're like gigantic zombies, they don't think, have no conscience and look for food."
"What?! So zombies are giant, black-cloaked guys who were spiked collars and have white masks with needle-sharp noses?! Plus, they're looking for food which I can probably guess is US! All for the love of the paranormal, I must be fucking dreaming!" Kyle banged his head on the soil.
"Shut up!" I hissed
"Those gillians are the least of our concerns, the one that we have to watch out for is that adjuchas! The fucking chimera you saw in the great room is a killing machine! It was trained to follow orders like a fucking pitbull and it will sniff around to look for it's prey!" i whispered.
"This is fucking outrageous but then why don't we all look for someplace safe other than the bushes. There's a cave or some sorts near here now let's scram." We ran followed the mansion's head of security whilst hiding from 3 gillians wandering in the front gate. When we finally reached the cave, I put Mai down and wake fer up.
"Mai, wake up!" I gently tapped her cheek and she suddenly bolts right up.
"I need to find the little girl's mother!" she said but I covered her mouth before she can say more, she is making too much noise.
"Keep it down! Or else it will find us" i notice her eyes get large and Oliver took Mai's hand and pushed her behind him.
"Looks like it already found us..."one of the security guys said. I turned around and see all of the hollows line up like good children waiting in line at the canteen. Alexis and the Chinese guys whistled while Cyril is concentrating on forming a barrier. The chimera growled and launched, the shikis as well as Anise's fire slowed his attack enough for Cyril to complete his barrier I held his arm and transferred my psychic energy into him and the barrier sent the chimera backwards.
"Actually everyone, this cave is a dead end" Jason gulped. Masako, Lia and Ayako are crying and hugging each other. José is holding a crying Ella, Kyle closed his eyes, Anise and Cyril held hands, Martin and Lin looked hopeless, Oliver Davis held a confused Mai so closely. I looked at a conflicted Alexis who is torn from a difficult decision.
"Don't..." he said
"Seriously? In this situation?" I laughed grimly. He scowled and took out his phone, probably dialling 911, I smirked at the thought...we'll definitely need it though...
Or not.
"Senri?" I heard Mai call out. I inhaled sharply and looked at her. Davis is shielding her completely and I know he's not a complete jerk, he's ready to risk his life for her after all. I caressed her cheek and smiled.
"You're still probably confused, but it's okay. Everything will be okay...I'll always by your side Mai." I stood up and kissed her temple and hugged her hard. Damn, and I just found you...
"No" she sobbed but I released myself from her grip and gave her to Oliver Davis.I gathered all the PK I could muster from my body, cursing silently that this is going to take a lovely effect on me. i took a deep breath probably my last few breaths now, then I looked at Davis straight in the eyes and whispered lowly...
"If something happens to me, please take care of..."
Then I launched my PK like a ray of light, causing its path to condense some air and rapidly oxidizing the path causing it to combust. Good thing they were in line so I can take them all at once. At a distance, I see the house explode and burn into oblivion. Then I felt a searing pain in my chest, I groaned and coughed a few times before vomiting about half a litre of blood. I probably collapsed since there was no way I could remain standing after that, my vision starts to get blurry and I feel myself losing consciousness but I can faintly make out the sobs and the gentle weight of a brunette.
"No! Please wake up, Senri!"She sobbed, I wanted to pat her head or something but I can't move, why did this shit had to happen now?Mai...
"...nii-san" and everything was black.
A/N: Thanks for the wait guys! And also for those wonderful reviews xD I hope this chapter will satisfy you. So now I have presented my first twist to this story. And lol, I am quite curious about your reactions. I hope I will get to read some reviews containing a lot of exclamation marks (hahaha!) and i actually want to know if somebody was expecting this. (There might be someone who is as twisted as me! JOwk!).
So now the poll has ended and the next chapter will be a side story from the character with most votes!
