Authors note:
Well hello thar~ -wiggles eyebrows-
ok I'll stop now.
anywaaays, chapter update! It took me two days, I think? But it was worth it! I should be updating every week. Just check, if I posted one chapter in a week, then good. If I posted two chapters, then better. If three chapters, you should be proud of me. If four, then I AM A GOD/shot
Please excuse my grammar and spelling mistakes, I'm still a baby. If there are, please point them out for editing~ (If something is off about the word, then I blame autocorrect because I am using IPad to type and submit these stories.)
Oh and I'm also sorry if I didn't give my all to the other characters, I had to study wiki for awhile since it's been sooooooo loooooong since I watched Blue Exorcist~ more of their personalities shall be unleashed the next chapters~
Disclaimer (I should've probably put this up sooner): I do not own Blue Exorcist and Black Rock Shooter and all are owned by their respective authors who are... Iforgottheirnamessorry.
Enjoooooy~
In an unfamiliar place, somewhere where darkness falls, four figures shifted as if they are waiting for nothing in particular. The tapping and swinging of feet, the pacing footsteps that never seem to die, and their bored stances are fairly visible in the naked eye. They conversed for the very first time they arrived there.
"So what happens now?"
"We just wait here? Do nothing at all?"
"I don't know... Let's just see what happens next."
"Is everyone here?"
"I'm here."
"Me too."
"Here."
"..."
"..."
"Is...Mato here?"
And in that darkness, four different colored flames sparked.
"Rin-kun, please slow down...!" Black stumbled behind the overly-excited boy. Rin still kept a firm grip on her arm despite her protests. Since Black couldn't keep up, she pulled Rin with an exploding strength that sent him flying for a few tiles away.
"Aaaghhh!" Rin slid with a burning friction on the tiled cement floor, rolling at some times. His landing, hopefully, wasn't off. He sat up and rubbed his heating arm that got harmed unfortunately, all the while gaping at the girl who just sent him flying.
"What the...but you...how did you...YOU'RE A GIRL!" Rin pointed at Black shakily as if she was an alien from Rainbow Land.
Black just sighed and held her hand out to help him up, "Never underestimate anyone, Rin-kun. Be it a girl or a child. And you were running too fast and I couldn't keep up." A smile tugged up one side of her lip.
Rin took her hand with a slight pout. Pink dusted in his cheeks a little bit. "We're late anyways, so I had to hurry up." He now crossed his arms in his chest and continued on their way to the Exorcism Classes somewhere under the bridge.
The lush greens and the colorful flowers with a slight breeze. The blues of the sky and the randomly shaped clouds. The sweet chirps of the birds as they live happily with their seeds and children. Black took all of these sights and feeling with peace. For once, she truly felt at harmony.
She was always trapped in that cage, where all she had to do was bear the pain and give pain to others. It was kill or be killed in that world. She truly wished that her fate was different and as peaceful and refreshing as this. At least she experienced it a least once.
She lifted her gaze to Rin, whom was now accelerating his steps in excitement. She wanted to thank this boy dearly. What would've happened if he wasn't there at that time? If he hadn't found her?
She would truly feel lost. But now, she has somewhere to study, she has somewhere to live for a while, she can meet new friends, and she can get closer to her goal. Black can't help a smile that forced itself on her lips as she followed her new friend.
"Hey we're almost there, I see the bridge already and... What are you smiling for? It's creepy as hell!" Rin slowly turned his head back and stopped at her smile. He slowed down his steps. Black's smile faded into a surprised one and stopped her tracks.
"Ah, sorry, I was just thinking deeply." She continued to walk and Rin followed pace.
"Thinking about what?" Rin chose to snoop at her thoughts and tease about it.
Black looked at him with a weird expression, "Nothing that concerns you."
At first, Rin frowned deeply at that, but then a huge smirk replaced it. He nodded his head in understanding, "Ohhh! I see what you're thinking about~ No need to hide it! Just tell me all your deep dark secrets, we're friends riiight?~" He bumped his elbow at her arm repeatedly with that smug grin on his face.
Black narrowed her eyes and tried to suck in on what he was trying to say, but then there came the conclusion. Her face darkened and she opened her mouth to say something, but then she closed it again, stuttering. "Y-y-you...pervert!" Black grabbed his collar and threw him in the air, now a few miles than a few tiles.
Repeating the earlier happenings, they never made in on time on lunch break.
"GOOD MOOORNING!" The door on the classroom bursted open, on the other side was a loud, happy-go-lucky monkey, a.k.a Rin Okumura, followed by Black.
"-Afternoon." Izumo corrected him. Her purple strands swaying as she turned her head to look at him sharply. "You're late again. Keep track of your timing or else it will render you useless as an Exorcist." Her red gaze heavy on him.
"Are you even serious about being an Exorcist? Dumbass. Just because you have these powers, doesn't mean that you have to slack on studying!" Ryuji Suguro or well-known as Bon, almost spat at him. He fully ignored Rin's comeback insults and continued on what he was working on, an extra seatwork.
The pink-haired (dyed) Renzo Shima sensed another presence behind Rin and peeked, "Who's that behind you?". Konekomaru soon also noticed her. "Is it a demon!?" He stepped back slightly.
Now that took everyone's attention to the figure behind him. Rin grinned and stepped away from blocking the view of everyone. Shiemi tried to wave, "Uh... Hello? No need to be shy." She smiled.
Black stepped forward, fully revealing herself. Everyone waited for her to speak.
"Uh... Hello. I am Ku-"
"Let me introduce her! Her name is Kuroi Mato, but just call her Bla-" he shrieked and was silenced by a strong jab on his ribs, he knelt down making pained curses.
"Kuroi Mato, but you can call me Black. Actually, no, just call me Black. I will be studying here with all of you. I hope we can get along." She bowed slightly. Everyone was slighty surprised at her politeness, despite sending a half-demon to his knees.
"Well well~ what do we have here? A beautiful lady, I suppose. Well then, let me introduce you to moi~ Renzo Shima, at your service~" he took her hand and kissed it lightly. Black was suddenly shoved back by a girl with weird eyebrows. The eyebrow girl crinkled her nose in disguist at Shima.
"Ugh, don't go near him when you're alone. Who knows when he'll pounce at you like a lion in heat. I'm Izumo Kamiki by the way. It's not like I'm asking you to be my friend. I just want to be kind." Izumo looked away. Black chuckled at that, but kept it behind everyone's sight.
Shiemi appeared behind and smiled at Black, "My name is Shiemi Moriyama. I hope that we can get along too." Black nodded and returned the smile. Shiemi introduced the remaining ones, except the teacher, who hasn't return yet.
"The one with the piercings and blonde streaks is Ryuuji Suguro-kun, but you can call him Bon too." Suguro waved slightly before continuing on his worksheet.
"That one with the glasses is Konekomaru Miwa-kun, he's shy so please get along with him." Shiemi pointed at the fidgeting boy.
"The puppet-holding one is Nemu Takara-kun. He's usually very quiet or playing with his puppet, but please also get along with him." She sent a smile to the puppet-holder who fully ignored them and continued on with his voice-acting.
Rin, who finally stood up from the ground, called them, "Where's Yukio?"
"Yukio?" Black tilted her head. Shiemi giggled, "Ah, Yukio is our advisor, you see. He'll be arriving shortly since he is our next class."
Ah, speak of the devil**, a small knock of the door announced the arrival of Yukio. He went to the teachers table and put down his things. Everyone settled on their seats, Black taking the far one since she's nearer there.
As Yukio eyed everyone, his eyes widened to a terrified one. Panic rose as Yukio took out his pistol to fire at Black, who fortunately missed. Fear and instincts almost gave way to Black as she feels flames form her sword slightly. Which eventually died out and calmed down.
"YUKIO! What are you doing?!" Rin ran to his brother and shook him. Yukio closed his eyes and eyed Black again, who looked normal, for now.
"Ah... I humbly apologize, I thought I saw something off... Ms. Mato Kuroi, was it?" Yukio looked at her apologetically. Rin stepped away, reluctant.
Black nodded, "It's alright, sensei. And please just call me Black."
Yukio sighed tiredly, he let everyone sit down and glared at Rin, "Nii-san, you should really control your flames next time. I almost shot Ms. Black because of that." he whispered.
"What?! But I didn't...!" Rin gaped.
"I see that you still don't have complete control. I should report that to Shura later to give you extra training. You could've burnt Ms. Black with all your flames surrounding her!" Yukio led him to his seat.
"My flames are...?" Rin could've swore that he didn't use his flames at all. He wasn't angry or mad at all.
He took a quick glance at Black, who's right eye sparked a blue flame at a slight second, and was caught by Rin.
End Notes:
please dont hate me if you think this is crappy, oh and I love puns.
speak of the devil**: haha, get that pun? Because Yukio's dad is a devil and he's a devil as well? Get it? Get it? No? Ok.
