Hi everyone! Thanks for all but one of your reviews! Unfortunately you are a guest, but this is to the person who sent the not-so-nice review that has been deleted. All I was doing was asking your opinion on whether to change the pairing of this story, and if you're going to be so horrible about it, then next time I won't bother asking for your opinions. I do not appreciate being sworn at in reviews, and I really want to change this story to Seblaine just to spite you, but unfortunately I have thought up some plot ideas for Klaine so I'm going to keep it klaine.
Yeah so, to the rest of you (the nice people) thank you so much for all the reviews! I wasn't getting emails last week and so I thought everyone was just ignoring my three story updates, but it turns out I got more reviews than ever, I just didn't get the emails! -_-
So this story is staying Klaine end game but that doesn't mean it won't dip into kadam/seblaine on the way! I have outlined the plot but nothing is set in stone and I would love any more plot ideas (thankyou to Rettastarkidklainer I will use your plot idea at some point in the story!) anyway, this author's note is going to be longer than the chapter soon, so I better stop! :)
"I'm sorry but the person you have called is not available. Please leave a message after the t-"
"OH FOR GOD'S SAKE!" Sebastian Smythe was never really known for his patience. That's because he didn't have any. Nevertheless he half shouted into his iphone after the tone sounded.
"I SWEAR TO GOD ANDERSON, YOU HAD BETTER BE AT MY HOUSE BY FOUR THIS AFTERNOON, I NEED TO TALK TO YOU NOT YOUR VOICE MAIL!" and with that, Sebastian hung up and started to wait.
"What are you saying?" Kurt's voice was a mixture of confusion, hope and dread. He had agreed to yet another coffee with Adam, after he had cornered him after the bell had rung, signalling the end of classes at NYADA.
He hadn't really felt like it, as he was still in a mess after that night with Blaine at the weekend, and the last person he felt like having a coffee with was Adam. Even though him and Adam weren't official…yet…they had had their fair share of flirty texting and coffee 'dates', and every time he thought of him and Blaine and him and Adam within the same minute, he felt a huge wave of guilt consume him. Why? He asked himself. I'm not going out with Adam. It's not cheating. I can do whatever I want. Not that he wanted Blaine of course… But deep down he knew it was cheating. Adam had fallen for Kurt, hard, and Adam trusted Kurt. Adam thought that he and Kurt had something, something special. He thought that, even though they weren't really going out, they were still in some sort of relationship, somewhere between 'friends' and 'boyfriends', and he decided he wanted to accelerate their relationship straight into the middle of that 'boyfriend' zone.
So, he had cornered Kurt after the bell, and had practically begged him to go for a quick coffee. Rather too reluctantly, Kurt agreed. And here Kurt was. He had no idea how to tackle this situation, so he asked a dumb question to buy himself time to think.
"I'm saying, Kurt, that I really, really like you and, I want to…well have a shot at being your boyfriend." Nope. Still nothing. Kurt had no idea what to say or do. Absolutely no idea. What Kurt really needed was a whole day with no distractions, to sit down and sort himself out. To decide once and for all where his feelings stood with Adam…and Blaine. Kurt needed time, that he didn't have. Kurt was too socially awkward to look Adam in his hopeful eyes and tell him he needed time to think. So instead Kurt took the easy way out, he did a very stupid thing. He looked Adam in the eyes, smiled and said one word. A word he would kick himself for saying later on.
"Yes."
You idiot Kurt. That didn't even answer the stupid question! What did he say again? Oh-I remember! Quick! Before he thinks you're a total idiot!
"W-what I mean is, I would love to give it ago, I would love to be your boyfriend." Well, I think so…I mean maybe, maybe not, it depends. The sensible part Kurt's mind couldn't help but add on sarcastically. At least part his mind knew what he had done was wrong. The biggest grin appeared on Adam's face at his words. This is mean.
"Oh, so you're not dead after all." Smythe loved his sarcasm.
"Shut up Seb, you're lucky I turned up at all. After what you said, I had a good mind never to speak to you again." Sebastian knew that Blaine had forgiven him, as he had used his nickname. He knew he was safe to tell the truth.
"Stop over reacting B, it wasn't that bad," Sebastian also used a nickname to soften the blow of his next words, "I know I shouldn't have said it so harshly, I lost my temper and I am sorry for that, but I…I stand by what I said."
"What, about me being thick?" Blaine's voice was rising dangerously.
"No Blaine, about Kurt using you, about him being the bad guy." Blaine was silent. He got where Sebastian was coming from, he really did, but…but…it wasn't like that. It was different. It was his fault; Kurt was just acting like any sane person would in his situation. No he isn't. Sebastian's right. He's using you Blaine. Admit it. Admit it. You have to admit it. But he couldn't-not yet.
"Well…bye?" Adam seemed just as unsure as Kurt on how to end this. They had become official, but only about an hour ago. Adam had walked Kurt back to his apartment, holding his hand all the way, and now they were left with that awkward situation outside Kurt's apartment. It was even more awkward for Kurt, as he still had no idea about…well, anything really. After a few more moments, Kurt found it too awkward and found himself stepping closer to Adam and pressing his lips to his. It was only meant to be a brief peck, as Kurt didn't even know if he wanted this relationship yet. But Kurt underestimated his self-control. Adam's lips were soft and gentle, just like-SHUT UP. Kurt found himself instinctively tilting his head to deepen the kiss, just like I have done so many times with-SHUT UP! Adam made a contented noise in the back of his throat as the kiss stretched on, wow, he sounds uncannily like-shut up, shut up, shut up, shu-.. BLAINE!
Kurt pulled away far too abruptly. Panting, he and Adam looked at one another, and Kurt saw the look of confusion and hurt in his boyfriend's eyes. He couldn't bear it he felt so guilty. He mumbled a quick 'good bye, text me' to Adam and practically ran into his apartment before shutting the door and leaning heavily against it.
Blaine! Blaine! Blaine! Blaine! The newly freed thoughts about someone in particular circled his brain, abusing the fact that they could now be heard loudly and clearly. They had already outstayed their welcome long ago, causing Kurt to lock them up in a little cupboard under the stairs at the back of his mind, but now they roamed free. Heart wrenching memories of him and his ex came flooding back to the forefront of his mind, accompanied with the chorus of a very special cover of teenage dream on a constant, never ending loop of heart break.
Kurt managed to make it to his bedroom before the first tear squeezed its way past all of the barriers Kurt had erected, and trickled down his cheek.
Please, minus the F*** you's, tell me how you think I did on this chapter. I still absolutely love reviews! (as long as they don't swear at me -_-)
Xxx :D
