This chapter is longer because it's the last chapter! Nah just kidding. Well, everything will end here. Eh...Kinda...ish... Please enjoy!

Mikan sneaked around towards her classroom.

Trying not to make a sound, she compared to herself as a ninja.

She waved the thought off and told herself that this is important, and not some silly entertainment.

Finally reaching the double doors of her classroom, she was just about to open the doors when she heard voices inside.

Instinctually, she leaned her ear flat on the door and listened to the voices inside.

"Why did he do that?" Nono sobbed.

"I heard no one was hurt though." Kitsu notified them, trying to bring some good news.

"Natsume-kun is definitely not those kind of people." Sumire defended.

Natsume?

Mikan listened intently. They must be talking about the fire.

"Well yeah, but did you see how bad the fire was? It burned down half of the dorms. Nothing was left." Mochu countered.

"Come'on guys. It must have been an alice malfunction." Yuu butted in, trying to help defend Natsume.

Koko scoffed.

"Alice malfunction? Seriously dude, Natsume can totally control his alice." Koko stated.

Yuu shrunk in his seat knowing Koko was right.

"Well, Ruka? What do you think? You've been awfully quiet." Anna asked, putting her gaze on him.

Ruka shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"I– Um... He– I–" He stuttered.

"Just spit it out." Kitsu said, patting him on the back.

"Sakura-san." The room froze.

Ruka sighed.

"It has something to do with Sakura-san's disappearance."

Mikan gasped.

Noticing how loud she gasped, she quickly covered her mouth.

Her heart ached but she knew, she knew she didn't trust him anymore.

What he did was unforgivable.

He cheated and lied to her.

She was sure she would never forgive him.

Tears streamed down her face.

Not understanding why she was crying, she wiped them quickly and then leaned on the wall.

She would never forgive him...but she still loves him.

Making another alice stone, she ran as fast as she could to the teacher's lounge.

She banged open the door, panting.

"Mikan?" Narumi asked confused, as he set down the book he was reading.

"Narumi-sensei! Please, can you give this to Natsume?" Mikan asked, giving him her alice stone.

Narumi smiled.

"Of course Mikan-chan." Smiling back, Mikan quickly ran out of the room again.

She opened the portal with a shaky voice.

Mikan swore she would not come back to the real world again.

Natsume banged on the bars of the dungeon.

"For heavens sake, let me out!" Natsume hollered.

It just echoed off the walls.

Not a single soul was in sight.

Natsume growled in frustration.

The teachers had forced alice restraining items on him.

There were at least 10 on him, completely disabling his alice.

Banging on the bars one last time, he gave up and leaned against the wall.

"God, this sucks." He mumbled.

The sound of the door opening caught his attention.

"Narumi." Natsume hissed.

"Yep." Narumi answered cheerfully.

"This is for you." Narumi said, smiling at Natsume, and then lifted his hands.

When his fists unclenched, the familiar glow of an alice stone suddenly caught Natsume's attention.

"Wait, wha...?" Natsume asked, dazed.

"Mikan-chan told me to give it to you. I'll let you out now." Narumi said and then unlocked the dungeon doors.

Stepping outside of his cage, he did not feel any freer than he was a minute ago.

His heart started pumping faster.

"What's this supposed to mean!?" Natsume demanded, clenching the stone in his fists.

Narumi smiled sadly.

"Natsum-kun, I think you should already know." With that, Narumi walked out slowly, not looking back.

Pain and understanding washed over him like a tidal wave.

Tears started to sting his eyes as he looked down on the orange alice stone.

This was for good-bye.

But it also meant she still loves him.

Wiping away the liquid that never managed to escape his eyes with his sleeve and walked out slowly.

The strong light blinded him, making him squint his eyes.

He walked into the classroom dejectedly and sat down, not wanting to talk to anyone.

"Natsume." Ruka called, noticing his depressed mood.

Hotaru walked past, stopping next to Natsume, but Natsume was too focused on what Ruka was saying to notice.

"It's no use just sitting there. We've been looking for Mikan for a long time. I don't think she's in the academy anymore." Ruka said with a sigh.

Natsume's eyes widened.

He stood up quickly and then ran out.

Banging open his door, he quickly got his cat mask, strapped a gun to his waist and then jumped out the window.

Jumping from branch to branch, he got nearer and nearer to the wall surrounding the school.

Bracing himself, he willed a strong fire explosion.

Blowing up the wall, he quickly landed on the rubble.

He knew from experience that blowing up the wall was the best way.

Once the wall was blown up, he would be too low to reach the electricity and he knew for a fact that no matter what, he had set off the alarms.

He needed to move quickly, quicker than he had before to find Mikan.

He jumped down and ran as far as possible from the academy.

He suddenly heard a voice.

Touching his ear, he realized that he had an earpiece on.

Not any earpiece, but Hotaru Imai's invention.

"Hyuuga."

"Imai." Natsume answered, still running on the streets, not slowing down.

"I've snuck the earpiece on you when you were talking to Ruka." That explains a lot.

"I've broke through the school's barrier using an extremely high tech computer that I have created with my sempais." Hotaru explained.

Natsume continued to listen.

"Mikan is nowhere on the maps. In short, she's not on this planet." Natsume stopped, catching his breath and confused.

"What?"

"I make no mistakes, Hyuuga. She is not on this planet."

"What the hell are you talking about. If she's not on the planet where could she be? Mars?" Natsume growled at the earpiece frustratingly.

The people walking down the streets couldn't see the tiny earpiece and looked at him as if he was crazy, talking to himself.

"Hyuuga, you're stupider than I thought. As you know, we live in a world of alices. What I'm trying to tell you is: she might be hidden by another alice. However, I am not sure whether she is in the academy or not." He was sure Hotaru rolled her eyes.

Sighing into the earpiece, he halted his steps and started turning around back to the academy.

He heard a beep on the other end of the earpiece, indicating that it has been turned off.

He felt depressed.

It's like no matter how hard he tries, he always ends up back on square one.

Has he walked further, he heard footsteps behind him.

Alarmed, he stopped walking for a while, listening closely.

The footsteps behind him stopped as well.

He started walking again and picked up his pace, the footsteps grew louder.

Wait...

Listening more closely, there were footsteps coming from all around him.

A conclusion quickly formed in his head.

There were multiple people following him.

He breathed a sigh of relief as he got closer to the academy gates.

The footsteps only got louder the closer he got to the gates.

Feeling unbelievably threatened, he swirled around and pulled out his gun.

Some people screamed in horror as Natsume searched for his target, holding the gun in a shooting position.

The bang of a gun shot was heard over the growing chaos of scared people on the streets.

Natsume groaned in pain, clutching his now bleeding leg.

"Don't hurt him too bad." He glared at the person who said that.

A man around his thirties smirked at him with his arm crossed

He should be the boss.

6 other men surrounded him, each with a gun.

"Looking at his uniform, he must be from that really big academy." One of the guys said, giving him an eerie smile.

"He'll get us a lot of money." Another said excitedly, all the while pointing the gun at him.

Natsume snorted.

As if all his trainings were for nothing.

He ran towards then men and then jumped up 10 meters in the air, landing behind the surprised men.

Aiming, he shot each of the men in the leg, making them lose their balance.

Sensing their boss behind him, he turned on his heel and shot his gun the same time their boss shot.

Unfortunately, his bullet only grazed the man's shoulder.

However, the man's bullet hit him right in the stomach.

Holding his hemorrhage stomach in pain, he collapsed on the street.

"Call the police!"

"The boy's bleeding!"

"Isn't the ambulance here yet?"

Different outbursts of statements were heard as he panted.

Blood oozed out of his wound.

"Now then..." He could hear the smile in the man's voice.

Looking on the ground, he saw the man's shoes coming closer.

He heard more gun shots, the men running away.

"Natsume-kun? Daijōbu?" Narumi asked, patting his shoulder lightly.

He remembered seeing Hotaru there as well, but he wasn't sure.

Then everything went black.

Ruka, Hotaru, Koko, Kitsu, Permy, Anna, Nono, Yuu and Narumi sat in front of the operation room.

There was a heavy atmosphere around them and even the most talkative Koko did not speak up.

After almost 2 and a half hours of waiting, the doctor finally came out.

His face was grim.

Narumi stood up, asking about Natsume.

Everyone held their breaths.

Shaking his head, the doctor answered.

"We got the bullets out, but he lost too much blood and the bullet has penetrated his stomach."

Tears threatened to fall from Ruka's eyes.

"We tried our best. I'm sorry." With that the doctor walked away.

Nobody talked.

One by one, they walked back to their classroom.

Hotaru, however, waited for Narumi to stand up and leave.

"Narumi. I have something to tell you." Hotaru said calmly, but her eyes were red.

Narumi nodded silently and led her to the teacher's lounge.

Akemi, Teru and Luna sat at a small cafe in central town.

The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful as they continued to talk.

The door of the cafe banged open, and numerous teachers came in.

Jinno stepped forward and shot the three a glare.

"We will now remove your alices and memories of anything related to this school and alices." Jinno said coldly, grabbing Teru's arm.

"You have no right to do that! What have we done!?" Teru yelled as he tried to get out of Jinno's grasp.

Hotaru came up and prepared her Baka gun.

"What have you done? I have a video of you three talking to Teru's room about what you have done to Natsume and Mikan." Hotaru stated, holding up a memory stick with her other hand.

Their eyes widened.

"T-There was a security camera?"

Hotaru nodded and then gave them a sickly sweet smile.

"You'll pay for making Mikan suffer."

The last thing they heard was the sound of the Baka gun.

"Mikan."

"Oh! Teru-kun!" Mikan greeted happily.

Teru gave her a sad smile.

"Mikan, we have to leave." Mikan gave him a confused look but took his hand.

Entering the portal, they went back to their world.

Mikan's confusion depended as she saw a group of teachers in Teru's room.

"Hotaru?" Mikan called.

Hotaru went over and explained everything.

Mikan's expression went from disbelief to anger.

"You!" She screeched, punching Teru in the chest.

Teru looked at the floor, letting his bangs cover his eyes.

He didn't even budge, after all, Mikan isn't that strong.

"How could you!? I thought we were friends! I thought I could trust you!" I cried as she repeatedly banged on his chest.

Grabbing her hands, he kneeled down and looked straight at her eyes.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know that this would happen. I just wanted you to love me, that's all." He gave her a painful smile.

"I'll be leaving now. You won't see me again and I won't remember you." He gave her hand a kiss, stood up and then left.

Mikan fell on the floor crying.

Hotaru went up to her and patted her lightly on the back trying to comfort her.

"Then, do you forgive Hyuuga?" Hotaru whispered.

Mikan shook her head while wiping the tears from her eyes.

"He still cheated, no matter whose idea it was."

The next chapter will be the rest. Spoiler alert! The next chapter has a character's death in it (you can probably guess who) and it has a...sad ending I guess. But in a way it's happy. The next chapter will be uploaded very, very soon because I already wrote it.

Please R&R!
