Somewhere in the outer regions of Cyberspace, on the Northern Frontier, inside the ship known as the Grim Weaker, The Hacker was hard at work trying to once again come up with another scheme to take over Cyberspace and destroy Motherboard and the Cybersquad, who had always foiled his plans. Hacker was seated in front of his desk, surrounded by mountains of discarded paper; He would write down anything that could help him on his conquest, only to rip it up and throw it behind him in frustration and rage.
"How about I? No, no, no, that would never work! Maybe if I... Errrr, no, that's not good enough! Hmmm, maybe…… Ugh! No, no, NO!!!!"
His two not-so-bright henchmen, Buzz and Delete, had heard him shouting frustratingly to himself, followed by the continuous sound of paper being torn. Curious, they carefully approached the door leading to their boss's lab, which was slightly opened to a crack.
Buzz decided to climb on his friend's shoulders to get a better look. But he lost his balance as he climbed on top of him, or tried to, and caused himself and Delete to crash down to the floor. As they fell, they accidentally pushed the door open, alerting their boss, who immediately turned around to glaze at them, not being in a particularly good mood to see them.
"Errr! Can't you Dim-witted Duncebuckets see that I'm busy?" He shouted furiously.
"S-sorry B-b-boss, you seemed to sound frustrated, and we wanted to see what you were upset about." Buzz nervously replied, while Delete fearfully nodded.
Hacker sighed, "If you must know, I'm trying to come up with a plan to get rid of Motherboard and those menacing kids once and for all!"
"How are you going to do that, Boss?" Buzz asked. "Don't you remember? Dr. Marbles and those Earth kids managed to finally find the cure to Motherboard's virus!"
"Yeah, not to mention that they put a safeguard mechanism on it so she can't be threatened by viruses, or anything ever again!" Delete added.
"That may be true, but that's not going to stop me! If I can somehow find a way to bypass the mechanisms and reach the encryptor chip, I can make Motherboard weak again! Then, she'll be easier to dispose of, leaving me to only have to deal with those Earth brats." Hacker explained.
"But how? Won't those Earth kids stop you like always?" Delete expressed his concern.
Hacker paused for a moment, quietly pondering to himself. Now, he did have a point, which the Cybersquad had and always will try to stop him. And even if he managed to destroy the encryptor chip like last time, the Earth brats would most likely find a way to prevent or stop him. He also knew that if he were to succeed, they would certainly try to find a way to rebuild it.
"Will you two Tin Heads get out of here! I'm trying to think of something, and you two are distracting me!" Hacker shouted, his voice was suddenly hostile. The two who were startled nodded, followed their boss's orders, and left the room in a huff.
Hacker turned back toward his desk and began to massage his templates. However, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop thinking about those Earth kids, who for the past several years have been the source of his anguish. Oh, how he dreamed of one day finally disposing of them for good. He could have been able to take over all of Cyberspace years ago, if they hadn't come and constantly foiled his plans.
Hacker sighed once more as he picked up another sheet of paper and tried to get back to work on his scheme. "If only..."
...
Meanwhile, in the city on Earth, our hero WordGirl (a.k.a. Becky Botsford) and her faithful monkey companion Captain HuggyFace were caught in an exciting battle between Dr. Two-Brains, who plotted to once again turn the entire city into cheese. The battle, however, as with any other battle between her foes, was over faster than it had started. was rather easy, as she was quickly able to defeat him. Although that was mostly due to one of his henchmen pressing one of the wrong buttons on the controls, causing the whole contraption he was piloting to collapse.
"I'm sorry, boss, how was I supposed to know that was the wrong button?" One of his henchmen kept apologizing, while the other remained silent.
"What do you mean that you didn't know about... I told you two repeatedly that the button that you were SUPPOSED to press was the big red one!" Dr. Two-Brains argued. While Dr. Two-Brains continued to scold his henchmen, WordGirl took the opportunity to grab one of the street lamps and use it as a way to apprehend him and his henchmen.
"Thanks again, WordGirl!" One of the many police officers exclaimed appreciatively. He then turned towards the now tied up Dr. Two-Brains. "Alright, you three have the right too..."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I have the right to remain silent and all that. I've heard that over a hundred times already! Just get me untied, it's more painful than it looks!" Dr. Two-Brains interrupted. "Also, how are you people okay with this?"
As Dr. Two-Brains and his henchmen were being taken to one of the squad cars, a crowd of people started surrounding them and started clapping and cheering. A few news reporters ran up to WordGirl to take pictures and ask questions. After WordGirl finished shaking various people's hands and answering questions, she and Captain HuggyFace took off into the sky and flew in the direction of their home.
Watching it all from a nearby office building, Zach Varmitech: CEO of Varmitech Industries, and self-proclaimed genius inventor, watched as WordGirl once again defeated yet another villain's genius plans.
"There goes WordGirl again! I'm so happy to know we can always count on her to save the day!" Zach said in a cheerful yet sarcastic tone. "Ugh! She's so annoying, even more annoying than those Wild Rats!"
As he watched Dr. Two-Brains being taken inside one of the squad cars, he was suddenly struck with an idea. He turned to two of his nearby Zachbots and ordered them to come closer. "Zachbots, I want you two to go down there and bring me Dr. Two-Brains and his henchmen from that squad car, and STEP ON IT!"
After giving their instructions, the Zachbots saluted, before flying out an open window toward the squad car below. By now, the crowd of people had already died down, and the squad car was already leaving. The Zachbots had managed to catch up to it, and one of the robots flew in front and stopped it while the other one opened the rear door and pulled the three out of the vehicle, much to their and the officer's confusion.
Once they had retrieved the doc and his henchmen, they flew back towards Zach's office, where their master was waiting. Not before repetitively stomping on the squad car, completely flattening it. The officers, who were luckily able to get out in time, sat on the ground, completely dumbfounded that they hadn't seen where the Zachbots had flown off. By the time they had registered what had happened, the robots were already gone and had already made it back to Zach's office.
"Hey! What's the big idea?" Dr. Two-Brains angrily asked while one of Zach's robots uncuffed him. He stared angrily at Zach, who had a devious grin on his face. Zach then turned to face a large monitor. After messing with the keyboard, three more screens appeared on the screen, which were none other than Gaston Gourmand, Donita Donata and her henchman Dabio, and Paisley Paver, who all seemed not to appreciate him calling them at the time.
"What is it, Zach? Don't you know that some of us are currently busy with things?" Paisley asked annoyedly.
"Yeah! As in some of us being in the middle of making exquisite cuisines!" Gourmand replied.
"Sorry for disturbing you all, but Dr. Two-Brains and I have an idea of how to not only get rid of those pesky Wild Rats, but also WordGirl as well!" Zach exclaimed, possessing another evil grin.
"We do?" Dr. Two-Brains asked, confused and unsure of what he was talking about.
"Of course we do!" Zach exclaimed. "Look, I have a proposition! What if all of us, along with every villain in the city, teamed up together? They won't stand a chance against all of us, and we'll be able to get rid of them once and for all!" He laughed evilly while Dr. Two-Brains, as well as the other villains on the monitor, looked at him unsurely.
"Now hold on Zach, while I do appreciate your enthusiasm, are you sure this will work? I mean, none of the other villains have worked well together in the past, what makes you sure it'll work out this time?" Dr. Two-Brains asked.
"Yeah! He's got a point. Even we don't do so well when we try to work together." Gourmand added.
"Of course this will work! Unlike those other times in the past, it's going to be different!" Zach exclaimed.
"I'm still not sure, and even if I were, you'd also have to convince the others to work together, and that this is a good idea." Dr. Two-Brains explained to him.
"Well, why don't we? I'm sure they'll love this idea!" Zach affirmed.
"We'll see about that..." Dr. Two-Brains whispered to himself. "I just hope you know what you're doing, Zach." He asked in a quiet, concerned tone.
...
"AT LAST! I'VE FINALLY GOT IT!" Hacker exclaimed excitedly, jumping up from his chair. His henchmen ran into the room to see what was going on. As soon as he saw them, he ran up to them and hugged them, much to their confusion.
"Hey Boss, is everything alright? You seem a lot happier than usual." Buzz asked as he struggled to breathe. Hacker then quickly placed the two back on their feet on the ground, and the two began to quickly catch their breaths.
"I'm doing fine boys!" Hacker exclaimed happily. "I think I've figured out how to get rid of those Earth brats for good!" He exclaimed.
"Really how?" Delete asked, scratching his head puzzledly.
"Well, we know that those Earth kids come here from the real world through a portal, right?" Hacker perplexed.
"Yeah?" The two replied, unsure where he was going with this.
"Wait, Boss, is this going to be like the time during Halloween when we were at R-Fair City, where you managed to trap the Earth kids in Cyberspace by crashing Motherboard's portal system with that portal freezing ray thingy?" Delete asked.
"Not quite." Hacker said calmly. "You see, even if I were to try and mess with any of Motherboard's controls, there's no doubt that somehow those Earth kids will still be able to find a way to fix them." He clarified. "No, what I'm going to do is create a device that, once finished, will allow us to create a portal to... THE REAL WORLD!" He explained, pausing to create a dramatic effect.
"THE REAL WORLD!?" The two gasped in shock.
"That's right, my Marvelous Trouble Troopers, the real world! And once we get to the real world, all we have to do is find where those Earth brats live, and then I'll get rid of them once and for all! Then, Cyberspace, as well as Earth, will be ALL MINE! and nothing, and nobody, will be able to stop us!" Hacker exclaimed, laughing maniacally.
"Woah, Boss, this all sounds very complicated! Are you sure you'd thought this through?" Delete asked.
"Yeah! What if something goes wrong? Like those Earth kids finding out what we're doing?" Buzz replied worriedly.
"Trust me, I know exactly what I'm doing! And even if those Earth kids do figure out my plan, by then they'll be too late!" Hacker reassured them. "Now, all I need is some portal dust, and..."
"Ummmm... Hey Boss, by any chance was that large jar of sparkly stuff in the storage closet portal dust?" Delete suddenly asked, sounding nervous.
"Yeah...?" Hacker slowly replied, as he found his question strange. "Why, what did you do?" He asked, starting to get furious.
Delete nervously took a deep breath before continuing. "Well, you see, I thought that sparkly stuff was glitter. I was going to use it to make a sparkly picture of a bunny, but I accidentally knocked it over and spilled it all over the floor. I then had to sweep it up and throw it away." He explained sheepishly.
Once Delete had finished, Hacker's face started to turn red with anger. He then grabbed the sensitive robot by his shoulders and picked him up towards his eye level. Delete shook with fear as he stared directly at his furious gaze.
"Y-Y-YOU DUNCEBUCKET!!!! I NEEDED THAT SO I COULD GO TO THE REAL WORLD AND GET RID OF THOSE EARTH BRATS AND FINALLY TAKE OVER CYBERSPACE! MY PLAN IS NOW RUINED BECAUSE OF YOU!!! WHY CAN'T YOU DO ANYTHING RIGHT??!!!!" Hacker shouted furiously at him. He was shouting so loudly that he could nearly be heard from all over the Northern Frontier.
Once Hacker finished his rant, he placed the now tear-filled Delete back on the ground. He continued to silently sob while tears continued to fall down his cheeks. Hacker, however, didn't seem to care, nor was he too heartbroken by Delete's sadness.
"Well, thanks to Delete here, it looks like we'll have to try to find some portal dust from somewhere else!" Hacker said angrily.
"But how are you going to do that? Portal dust is very hard to find! No one knows where it comes from or how it's made!" Buzz pointed it out.
"Well, actually, I think I know someone who may have some." Hacker spoke quietly after a short silence, seemingly hesitant to speak about it.
"Really, who?" Delete asked while trying to dry the tears from his eyes.
"Ledge." Hacker paused, before speaking in a quiet, bitter-filled tone. "Come on!" He shouted while grabbing them by their arms and pulling them towards the ship's control room.
