Bo had just finished teaching a horribly unclear version of Romeo and Juliet to another room full of horny teenagers. In retrospect, she should have known better than to wear the short and tight skirt with her business suit today, but the look on Lauren's face as she bit her lip and tried to stop from coming over and tearing that business suit off of her this morning was worth the trouble she got with the students at school today.
Bo had received a lot of apples on her desk after that first day. She wasn't surprised there was another pile on her desk today, along with boxes of chocolates and flowers. Her succubus magnetism sure did attract the hormonal teenage crowd. What was more important was that her succubus magnetism was seemingly getting across to Lauren, too. Pregnancy hormones were Bo's new favorite thing. Bo also knew that Lauren would never admit it, probably even to herself, but her wife was getting mildly jealous that the kids at school were ogling and lusting after her.
Dyson was working in the counselor's office, and Kenzi was still off trying to fit in with the students. Bo found it adorable how Kenzi had so much trouble. Her own high school back in the Midwest was hard to fit into; she had been an outsider much like Kenzi had been and was being again.
Bo had hated high school; at least the studying and the mean girls part of high school. Her boyfriend was a popular basketball player who she went to church with, so her adopted parents approved for that reason. She didn't have many friends, though, because she was such an outsider with a hot boyfriend. Now, she knew the reason she was dating a popular basketball player was because of her succubus powers. When Number Two had taken away her past guilt, one of the things Bo noticed missing the most was the guilt she had at killing that poor boy when she lost her virginity to him. It was her first succubus kill. It was the thing that made her run and believe she was a monster for all those years. It was odd not to think of herself as a monster anymore, especially after so many years of defining herself as just that.
They had been at this case for a week. Lauren had learned that akvans were the only fae at the school, so they were all having trouble detecting why the cheerleader had gone crazy Lauren-level smart before her brain melted. The drug in the girl's system was Lauren's territory, so the doctor was running tests at her actual work while Dyson, Kenzi, and Bo did their fake work.
This undercover job was her worst so far, mostly because she had to deal with the horny teenage students. Her succubus powers picked up on the pubescent lust from the kids who had not yet learned to control said lust. It was overwhelming that first day, so Lauren had made sure she was properly fed and an injection taken every other day to help quell the hunger she felt while at work despite being full.
She still wore her wedding band, but teenagers did not seem to care that the "hot English sub" was married. They still had horny teenage thoughts about her, especially when she was writing on the board. It was one reason she decided not to write on the board very often, or at least have the writing on the chalkboard before the class entered. Was this why Lauren had the teacher fantasy? Bo couldn't remember ever having a thing for her teachers. Then again, the thought of a sexy librarian Lauren sounded appealing.
After school, they were supposed to be going to the barn lab at Gram's farm for the ultrasound. Since the lab was technically closed today, Lauren was going to teach Kenzi how to work the ultrasound machine. They were going to find out the baby's gender before dinner, and Gram was going to prepare a family feast for them afterwards.
The fact that she would know what their baby was by this evening made Bo more anxious than usual all day in front of the classroom. She couldn't focus on her fake work or her real work, even when Kenzi came to tell her about another cheerleader spouting out craziness during practice in the gym. That meant victim number two was a cheerleader, too, which started a pattern. Bo would be questioning the cheerleading coach tomorrow, it sounded like.
Now, she was busy erasing the chalkboard, relieved that her final class was over, even if she did have to stay for the last class period. It was technically her "free" period to grade assignments and see students, but she never stayed in the room. It gave her time to work on her actual reason for being there.
Lauren helped her grade when they were sitting up at night, and Bo did understand the teacher fantasy a little when she watched her wife concentrate and mark the students' assignments. It was adorable when Lauren would chuckle at a particularly stupid answer, though she did note that the students must have been paying attention to Bo because the papers were more carefully written than an average high school student's efforts. They both chuckled then, because they knew the reason wasn't in Bo's teaching skills so much as the students trying to impress her.
Her classroom door was open, and she sensed Lauren leaning against it as soon as she arrived. Bo continued erasing, smiling to herself.
"Miss? Anything I can do for extra credit?" Lauren sounded happy, obviously pleased with her joke. Students were walking around in the hallway, either working on their free period or going to their next class. Bo turned her head to greet her, as she finished erasing the board.
"Lobster dinner. Backrub." She smiled again, as she put the eraser down and wiped her hands together to dust the chalk from them. Lauren was all vowel sounds, as she bit her lip, scanning Bo's body. Bo felt her eyebrow arch from the obvious ogling. There had been a lot of obvious ogling in the classroom the past week, but this was the first one she actually enjoyed.
"Oh, I, uh..." Lauren bit her lip, eyes wide, trying to stop herself from ogling, but trying to stop seemed to only make it worse. Bo couldn't help but smile at the utter adorableness of her wife. Even after all this time, Bo could still make Lauren blush without having to do much.
"Lauren, I'm kidding." She leaned against the side of her desk, crossing her ankles and gripping the large desk with both hands at her side. Her wife was frozen in place, holding a file in her hands and still openly and speechlessly ogling. Bo really needed to take advantage of this situation, even if she knew she really shouldn't. Lauren had fulfilled Bo's doctor fantasy several times before, so it was only appropriate that Bo return the favor. She decided to focus on the environment instead. "Whatcha got there?"
"Whatever this fae drug is that's infecting these kids, it contains traces of embryonic tissue." Lauren had the file in her hands, which was smart. It made her look like she blended in at the school. Bo bit her lip and noticed again how adorable Lauren looked; the doctor was off today, so Bo didn't get to be the one to ogle and want to rip clothes off when watching her get ready for work. Today, Lauren was practical, dressy enough in dark jeans and a black dress shirt, one of Bo's leather jackets fitted on her, but easy enough to remove later for the ultrasound.
"Like fae eggs?" Bo brought herself back to the conversation, glad for the small break in the case.
"Maybe." Lauren finally walked fully into the classroom, and Bo noticed some students were standing outside by their lockers and staring inside the room. The students were obviously checking out Lauren. She sent them her best teacherly warning gaze, and they looked away embarrassed but didn't move away.
"So, instead of looking for a needle in a haystack, we're looking for what? A nest?" Bo uncrossed her ankles and pulled her hands away from the desk, placing her hands on either sides of Lauren's hips to greet her wife affectionately when she got close enough; to hell with their environment. "Thank you. This helps."
"So…I know I'm early." Lauren was biting her bottom lip again, staring down at Bo and giving off strong, strong vibes. Bo was glad Lauren was blocking the students' view to her, because she felt her eyes instinctively change in reaction to that look.
"Wanted to see me in action, eh?" Bo smiled at her wife, knowing exactly what she was thinking. "I may have to buy a chalkboard and desk to hang up in our bedroom."
"Yeah, well, I would not be opposed to that idea."
"Damn, honey. If I'd known you'd spike this much, I would have bought them a long time ago." Bo pulled Lauren's body to her, as she stood from her leaning position at the desk. "I still have about forty minutes left, we could find a janitor's closet. Kenzi should still be in class; emphasis on the word 'should.'"
"I have a feeling we would get caught." Lauren brought her hands up to lightly cup Bo's chin in her palms before finally kissing her as an official greeting. "You have a lot of eyes on you here."
"Did you just mark your territory in my classroom?" Bo's eyes widened, breathing heavy when she realized just how sexy that action was. This wasn't even her real territory, but Lauren was outwardly showing her jealousy. Revealing fantasies, outwardly showing jealousy, marking her territory in front of teenagers. Bo liked this new side of Lauren; the succubus part of her wholeheartedly agreed.
"Well, I figure they'll know for sure you're married now." She kissed her again before stepping back. "Just trying to help."
"I'd say you may have made things much, much worse." Bo chuckled, though she did release her hold on Lauren, more because she was afraid she would try to mark her territory in a more succubus-based manner. Lauren went to sit at one of the desks in the front row, and she looked so awkwardly natural there. "I'm not sure this is the right place to play Fantasy Island, Lauren. The janitor's closet offer still stands, though."
"I'm just sitting, admiring. If my teachers were as hot as you, I would have tried harder, too."
"Lauren, you got straight As without even trying." Bo was jealous slightly that school had been so easy for the woman. It was not that easy for her. She did have to try, and even then, her trying didn't always produce the results she wanted. She wasn't dumb; she actually got good grades in most of her classes. Still, Bo hoped the baby took after Lauren in the brains department.
"Just saying." Lauren smiled up at her from her place at the desk.
"Well, you're definitely my favorite student so far. Think I'll get in trouble for taking you home and having my way with you?"
"I'm not your actual student, so I doubt you'll get in trouble."
Bo was about to cross the distance between them and have her way with Lauren in the middle of the classroom with the door wide open. Dyson walked in and saved her from losing control.
"Am I interrupting anything?" He walked cautiously, eyeing them both. They both squeaked a "no" before chuckling. Bo went to lean against her desk again and gripped it tighter. Lauren just looked at him, smug grin on her face. "Are you ready for the ultrasound?"
"We're just waiting on Kenzi to get out of school." Bo was full of giggles today. "Things I never thought I'd say."
"Want me to write her a note?" Dyson didn't move much further in the room, but Bo did notice a new set of students were standing across the hallway now. Apparently, everybody in this school shared those particular lockers.
"No need. It's not much longer." Lauren leaned back in the desk, relaxing and pulling in her own hypersexualized energy. Bo envied her wife's ability to go from horny to professional in .2 seconds. "Any news on your end?"
"Only that I have more respect for you two and Kenzi for even having children. You need much more patience and caring than I ever could possess in order to deal with this on a daily basis." He rolled his eyes, though Bo noted it wasn't in amusement. He was quite serious. "I was asked to prom again."
"That makes the count: Dyson, 6; Bo 14." Lauren stretched her arms out above her head. Bo was glad to see her wife found ways to use their undercover operation for her own personal amusement. "All in one week as the new 'kids.' That must be a high school record."
"Yeah, well, don't remind Kenzi." Bo remembered how they were laughing after the first invitations were granted. Kenzi had pouted that she hadn't been asked once; not even by the akvan who was teaching her how to play chess. "I didn't get to go to my prom."
"Can't say mine was the 'Parisian romance' that was promised." Lauren had relayed her horror prom story long ago. It was one of the first stories from her past that she had shared with Bo. The memory made her smile. She was just full of smiles today; her anxiety had started to diminish a little the second she felt Lauren standing in the doorway. "You'll figure this out before prom. Don't worry. You won't have to wear a sparkly dress. That means you, Dyson."
"I have my eye on one downtown, just in case." Dyson smirked, which surprised Bo. When did these two start being playful? "I'll get you the student files."
"Good, in case this thing spreads, I'll be ready." Lauren took a deep breath, calming herself completely into doctor mode in Dyson's presence. Bo didn't mean to pout, but she was glad that her control was back in full force.
"If you need anything else, let me know. I just came by to wish you luck…with the baby." Dyson sounded genuine, as he sort of smiled at both of them. He was never the smiling type, but when he did genuinely smile, he was extra cute. Bo preferred this to the brooding wolf man they all knew and loved, but it rarely surfaced. Again, it was odd to see it now.
"Thanks, Dyson." Lauren was the first one to speak, which Bo thought was a good thing. If Lauren could be this civil and accepting of Dyson, especially considering their past, then Bo could definitely learn to accept Nadia. That didn't mean she had to like her, but she could learn to accept her as a part of Lauren's life, since it was obvious Lauren was happy to make new (well, old) friends outside of Bo's circle.
"Of course." He nodded at both of them before taking his leave. Bo smiled at the giggling girls in the hallway following him not so nonchalantly. It didn't take long for the lockers to get new residents. She should really get Kenzi to start charging admission to stand by those lockers. Bo just rolled her eyes in amusement, as she went to sit next to Lauren so she wouldn't have to see them.
"Are you nervous?" Bo moved her desk closer, so that she could hold her wife's hands. They seemed to be shaking suddenly.
"Not really. Excited may be the better term? I've never done this before, and it'll actually look like a baby instead of a peanut this time." Lauren looked up quickly, as though something obvious had just come to mind. She had called them her "eureka" moments. "We need to start thinking about baby rooms. I can't believe I never thought about this before with Alexie. I mean, I babyproofed, but I never actually considered that the children would need their own rooms."
"I'm actually surprised you've not mentioned buying a place that's actually a safer environment and up to code." Bo had been thinking about it herself, but she just loved the clubhouse so much. They had a test run with Alexie, and he seemed to do fine there. "You used to hound me about it all the time when you first moved in."
"It's crossed my mind, but you love that place. While not officially up to code, I have made sure it's a safe place to live. Otherwise, I would have suggested that a long time ago with Alexie in the house." Lauren sighed deeply, and Bo could sense her wife's worry. "We probably won't know what the baby is, fae or human, until it hits puberty."
"Is there no way to tell?" Bo had thought that the fae technology surely had some weird test so they could figure it out beforehand. She could admit she didn't like going into this blind and wanted to do a lot more research on the baby's species before it reached puberty. Bo wanted to have answers and help their child come into its powers naturally and safely. Bo knew she would have been a much different person if she had known what she was her entire life.
"Sure, but not knowing…with this being the first documented fae/hybrid baby…I'm not sure I trust the test." Lauren's apologetic look meant that she had considered it, at least, but had clinically decided the best course of action. Bo unquestioningly trusted Lauren's judgment. After all, she was the best doctor around, and it was her body that was carrying the baby. Lauren didn't say much about what she needed or what was happening, but when she did, Bo knew to listen. "When the baby is about six months old, there is a much safer and accurate test that I can run from blood samples, but I'm still not positive it's a good idea."
"Sure." Bo leaned forward over the desks and kissed Lauren, lingering longer than she had intended. She felt her tight skirt bunching a little further up her legs. "Mmm…sure you don't want to find that janitor's closet?"
"Want to? Yes. Think we should? Yes." Lauren leaned forward in her desk and met Bo in another kiss. "Unfortunately, we waited too long."
"What do you mean?" Bo stayed close to her wife, lips inches apart and feeling and smelling the mint toothpaste and mouthwash Lauren must have used before she came to pick her up from work just now. "God, you're delicious."
"Yeah, well…" Lauren teased Bo by brushing her lips against hers without actually kissing her before pulling back slightly. "Does this mean I get that extra credit after all?"
"I gave you an A+ the second you walked in this room." Bo smiled against Lauren's lips before leaning forward to kiss her fully, wrapping one hand behind Lauren's neck to keep her there and one hand around the back of her wife's desk, feeling the leather from the jacket against her hand.
"Uh-hmmm…I'm not sure finding the teacher in this position is a good idea for the students to see. They're already having a hard time not creaming their jeans when you walk in the building." Kenzi's voice and presence brought Bo back from her intense yet gentle exploration of Lauren's mouth. "Seriously, teach, the door was open. I feel like I just walked into the beginning of a lame ass skin flick starring the world's most domesticated succubus."
"What are you doing out of Geometry?" Bo was starting to sound too much like a teacher; she really needed this case to be over soon.
"I told Mrs. Daniels my lesbian moms were here to pick me up to take me to a doctor's appointment." Kenzi gripped her backback.
"Moms? Kenzi, I would have had you when I was six. Mrs. Daniels won't believe that." Bo chuckled, as she went to grab the borrowed extra briefcase that Lauren had given her for the case. Student papers were already tucked into the appropriate folders, so she was ready to leave. Lauren wasn't far behind her, as she placed her medical file in the briefcase so she wouldn't have to carry it.
"What makes you think Lauren didn't birth me?"
"She would have been eight. Not much better for your argument." Bo shouldered the briefcase, making sure to grip Lauren's hand before turning out the lights in the room.
"Ohmygod, Bo. We have got to get you out of here. You're starting to sound like my real high school English teacher." Kenzi rolled her eyes, as she walked beside them down the hall. Bo watched the students staring at the trio, mostly at Bo's grip on Lauren's hand. For some reason, she felt strangely proud walking down the hallways of a high school, holding the hand of the most awesome girl at the school.
