Since Maureen was in for an early yearly visit, Lauren had decided to stay on the farm this week. Bo did a few jobs here and there for the past month, but nothing that required her to be away for too long. Lauren was right that it wouldn't take long to reacclimate herself back into her life, but Bo didn't like being too far away from Lauren. Her guilt at sleeping with her bunkmate and kissing Dyson made Bo feel like she needed to reprove herself, despite what her wife said.
They had talked about her kissing Dyson and having sex with her bunkmate. They talked about Nadia trying to kiss Lauren. They talked about feeding patterns during the third trimester. They even talked about what would happen once their daughter was born, since Lauren couldn't go back to 100+ hour work weeks and Bo couldn't travel the globe and be gone for weeks at a time. Their daughter really was going to change their lives, and Bo had never been more excited for change regardless of her lingering fears.
However hard those conversations were, the only real fight they got into was over baby names. Bo wanted to name their daughter something practical so she wouldn't be made fun of in school, and Lauren wanted to think of something beautiful and meaningful to their heritages. Trick suggested the family tradition of naming the child after the grandmother, but there was no way in hell they were naming their baby Aiofe. That was one thing they agreed upon quickly. The debate was still out for baby names, though.
Tonight was the first family dinner at Gram's farm that everybody was going to be at, and Bo was surprised that Lauren had accepted the invitation. Gram had insisted and asked for their presence at the dinner as a favor, and Lauren was already staying at the farm and spending time with Maureen when she wasn't working. Bo didn't trust it, but she agreed as a favor to Gram. Her relief when she found out Hadley and Lauren's parents wouldn't be there was greater than she wanted to admit to Gram or Lauren, though she could sense the relief in her wife, as well. At least Bo felt better about being around Roger since he had helped her get out of prison.
Bo arrived at the farm a few hours before the dinner and could smell the familiar scents of Gram's cooking as she walked in the back door. She smiled when she saw Lauren and Maureen in the kitchen helping like little kids idolizing their grandmother. She liked the idea of their own daughter doing just this.
Bo sat on Kenzi's stool since it gave her the best view of the entire kitchen, putting her blazer behind her on the back of the stool and watching them work; she immediately felt content and happy in this loving house. Her wife finally washed her hands once she was done preparing the chicken and came over to greet Bo completely with a sweet, welcome kiss. She tasted like cucumbers, strawberries, and almonds, which were all on trays on the island in front of her. Gram had no doubt accomodated the pregnancy cravings.
"Mmm, hello." Bo watched Lauren continue to dry her hands on the red dish towe as she leaned over for another quick kissl. "You sure you should be handling raw meat?"
"It's fine, Bo." Lauren laid the towel down on the island counter before coming to sit on the stool next to her, pulling their hands together on top of the counter. "I cook at the house all the time."
"Yeah, but you usually have Kenzi cut up the meat." Bo squeezed their hands together, feeling how cold Lauren's was.
"Because I don't trust her not to cut her fingers off when cutting the vegetables." Lauren went to grab a cucumber with her free hand from the tray, eating it in an uncharacteristically unsophisticated manner. Bo couldn't help but smile at the sight of her usually mannered wife feeding her face without care.
"Overprotective much, succubus?" Maureen came over to stand next to the counter, leaning against it and grabbing a few almonds. Lauren was allergic to peanuts, so there weren't any peanuts in either of their houses, but she had been craving nuts lately, which meant a lot of almonds and pecan ice cream. Bo did not mind this, since she would freely admit she missed peanuts. At least Lauren wasn't craving something weird like pickles and ice cream or watermelon soaked in caramel sauce like Kenzi did.
"I am just concerned about my pregnant wife; that is all." Bo could still taste the last traces of her mint gum that she had spit out on her way inside, anticipating that welcoming kiss from Lauren, so she chose not to munch on the offered food before dinner. "How was work today?"
"Nothing too exciting." Lauren continued munching, which was great for Bo to see. Her wife's pregnancy needs were definitely making her do things she normally wouldn't. "I had a checkup with Michael today. He says all the students miss you and that English lit is not the same."
"Well, that's sweet." Bo arched an eyebrow, letting Lauren know that they could play teacher later if she wanted. She was wearing the proper attire, after all. Her wife just blushed in response.
"Enough with the eye sex. Is this going to be a thing throughout dinner?" Maureen was smiling at them, and Bo could tell she wasn't really bothered by it. "Go upstairs, lock your door, and get it out of your system now."
"They're fine, dear." Gram walked over and wiped her hands on the towel that Lauren had apparently commandeered from the sink. "You look lovely. Are you ready to be officially welcomed to the family?"
"As ready as I can be, I guess." Bo looked down at her dress pants and light purple dress shirt that she had left over from her time teaching. Lauren hadn't said she needed to dress up, but Bo didn't think her leather would be welcome at the fancy dinner party. Lauren had worn dress pants and a nice dress shirt when she went, so Bo decided to follow her wife's example. "Should I be worried?"
"Only if you mind cutting the head off a ritual chicken." Maureen wasn't someone she had been around much, but Bo could tell she was kidding. At least she hoped she was kidding. It wasn't like she hadn't been sent to bring in the chicken for dinner several times, but she also knew that ritual chickens were a bit different.
"Maureen." Gram gave her that grandmotherly mixture of scolding and amused. "Bo comes from high clans, so we have to offer a better sacrifice than a simple chicken."
"Right, I hear you still owe one to Ferdinand for impaling you." Maureen looked at her with a serious expression. She could no longer tell if they were kidding. Lauren's chuckle and amused eye roll told her they were. "Relax, Mrs. Lewis. No animals will be harmed at dinner; other than the ones that will go in our bellies."
"Mrs. Lewis?" Bo arched an eyebrow, looking from each woman and trying to decide when she took Lauren's surname.
"I realized I actually didn't know your last name, so I had to give you Lauren's when I wrote you down in the family registry." Gram pulled out a few bottles of wine and began to open them to decant. Bo had learned this from Lauren, because she was just fine opening a bottle when she wanted and sometimes even forgetting about glasses. She had learned that from Kenzi. "I didn't think just Bo or Isabeau would work, and I'm not sure your grandfather is ready for your name to be documented in his clan. There are some powerful enemies still out there."
"I guess, legally, my name is still Beth Dennis, but I haven't been that girl in a long time." Bo pulled her hand from Lauren's, feeling the concern coming from her wife but choosing to ignore it. "I guess we're not legally married, huh? How would that work even, considering our daughter?"
"The fae world will recognize your daughter as biologically both of yours." Gram was feeding lightly from her, more to send her warmth than an actual need to feed, considering the feast that was about to occur. It dawned on Bo that the extended White and Lewis family who were still fae was about to feed on her. This dinner suddenly seemed creepy. "That is why we have our own doctors."
"What if something happens, though? What if something happens to Lauren, and I'm not legally on the human world documents that says she's my daughter?" Bo felt her familiar panic start to surface. Why hadn't they really talked about this before?
"Bo, it's okay." Lauren placed her hand on Bo's thigh, which did cause her to relax some. "I have everything sorted. She'll be legally yours in the fae and human worlds. We still have two months to worry about these things. I know you hate the politics."
"What about us, though?" Bo knew Lauren didn't want a wedding; they had talked about it as much, and she had only shown her disappointment slightly. Kenzi was the angrier one, saying that the doctor was robbing her of rights to play the maid of honor role. It never occurred to Bo that Lauren may not want to be legally married.
"What about us?" Lauren leaned forward to grab a handful of cucumber slices. She seemed so unfazed at Bo's obvious discomfort.
"I know we're married, but…to the legal human world, we're…not. Are we married in the fae world?" Bo bit her lip. She didn't realize she was so afraid of this rejection from her wife. Until now, she hadn't even thought about it. Since Lauren was the one who usually did think about the political aspects, Bo almost felt hurt that Lauren hadn't even mentioned it before. "Don't you want to be?"
"Lauren, you haven't filed papers yet?" Gram even sounded surprised at this revelation.
"Sis, she obviously liked it well enough to put a ring on it, so…" Maureen was smiling at her sister. Bo just watched the exchange and tried to understand Lauren's panic. Was she okay with playing house, but when it came time to make it legal, she wasn't so keen on it? Was that why she didn't want a wedding? Did it make the marriage too real?
"I want to, I just…" Lauren let out an audible sigh through her nose, as she turned to fully face Bo. "If we do this, that's it. We could file in the human world, but once we file in the fae world, we are truly bound for life. There is no taking it back. There is no divorce. The fae are very traditional, and your grandmother is the only succubus in history to ever file those papers. Even then, she and Trick had been together for centuries beforehand. I know you hate tradition. I thought you would want an out, just in case."
"I love you, Lauren. I'm starting a family with you. Hell, we are married except for stupid legal documents. Where in that overly busy brain of yours did you think I would want an out?" Bo pulled in her anger, knowing this wasn't the right place to address this. "I thought I'd made myself pretty damn clear that I want this with you."
"Lauren is yet again not thinking of what she wants and being selfless for you. After she passes, you won't be able to marry again." Gram took the red towel and slapped it over her shoulder. "There is a reason your grandfather has endured centuries alone, as will I. She may have a longer life than most humans, but you will still most likely outlive her. You can take lovers, sure, but you will never be able to pursue anything beyond one night stands. Lauren loves you that much that she doesn't want you to ever be alone, even after she's gone. It actually makes me quite proud of her, though even I admit the silliness in this case."
"Fae rules are so stupid." Bo pinched the bridge of her nose to alleviate her sudden headache. Lauren placed a hand on her back, which did soothe her. She smiled at her wife and took a deep, calming breath. "Thank you, for looking out for me, but it's not necessary. I can make my own decisions. There are still a lot of things I need to learn, but I don't have to even think about this one."
"We can talk about it more later. I'll explain everything." Lauren looked ill suddenly. Bo could sense her discomfort and tried to steady her wife. "I'm fine. Just…dizzy."
"Oh, the joys of the third trimester." Gram went to place a comforting hand on Lauren, who seemed to flush again. "Bo, take her upstairs to lie down…and do get some actual rest. Dinner will be served in an hour. You may consider feeding from her a bit before the others do. Since she is pregnant, the family will be especially drawn to her, but they do know their limits."
"I can't." Bo looked at the older woman, wondering why they even agreed to this dinner. If Bo couldn't feed from Lauren like they agreed, what made it okay for the extended family to do so?
"She's affected just as you are when you don't feed. Right now, that child inside needs the energy from both of its mothers. I can tell you've also not been having sex as often." Gram almost sounded like she was scolding them for not having sex. It was an odd thing as a succubus to be scolded for not having constant sex from your wife's grandmother.
"The baby; it gets a little…uncomfortable." Lauren placed her hand on her belly. She still looked flushed, but she was steadier now.
"Dude, you are not that big." Maureen rolled her eyes at her older sister, coming to place her own hand on Lauren's belly. "Hadley and Kat were way bigger than you at seven months. You just look like you ate a few too many carbs."
"Different body types." Lauren took a deep breath, smiling at her sister and grandmother. "Thank you for the concerns, but everything is…fine. The baby is fine. I am fine. Our…sex life is fine."
"If it were truly fine, you wouldn't have hesitated to go upstairs just now." Gram smirked at them, and Bo felt herself shift in her seat. She should be used to talking sex with Gram by now. "Despite your worries, it will be okay to feed on Lauren every so often. In fact, as your midwife, I encourage it. The baby will sense the essence being passed."
"I told you." Bo looked at Lauren, eyes wide at the revelation. She knew the baby could feel it when they had sex.
"She's not talking sex, Bo. The baby won't feel that. Gram is saying that she'll feel our essences being exchanged when you feed. It's almost like you'll be claiming the baby as her own, so she'll know she's loved and protected." Lauren was the one who had suggested Bo not feed from her during the last few months. "I thought it would hurt the baby, Gram."
"You're not completely wrong, dear. Bo shouldn't take a full feed from you. Just a little bit to let the baby know she is there." Gram's words seemed to placate her wife, so Bo didn't feel as mad that she had been feeding elsewhere. If she had broken the monogamy without needing to, she was going to be really mad. "Are you sure you don't want to go lay down, Lauren?"
"I'm fine. I was just dizzy; it's normal. I would know if something is wrong." Lauren went to grip Bo's hand in hers again.
Just then, the back door opened and an attractive blonde woman entered the house. Bo tried to stop her reaction, but her senses took control at the magnetism from the other woman. If Lauren noticed her eyes change, she didn't say anything. Bo remembered her as Lauren's sister-in-law, Roger's wife, though she couldn't remember her name. She felt slightly panicked that this meant she would have to encounter Roger so soon. While he still helped her for reasons she would probably never understand, Roger was still not a fan. Maureen and Gram moved to hug her in greeting, but Lauren stayed seated beside Bo. She looked over and realized there was no real emotion in her wife; Lauren was hiding again. What made it more awkward was the simple, electrified greeting in this other woman when she locked eyes with Lauren. Bo knew that look; it wasn't enough to make her worried, but this woman felt Lauren's pull much like Bo felt this woman's pull. Being around family so much, Bo had almost forgotten how intoxicating her wife was for the fae. Maybe this was why Roger had been so competitive with Lauren and had rushed to set her up with somebody in college.
"Roger will be late, as usual. He's still at the office, so I came on to help. The kids are outside grabbing their backpacks. They have a lot of English homework." The woman was fae, and she had the deepest purple eyes Bo had ever seen. Humans probably thought they were brown or colored contacts, but they were distinctly purple. "You must be Bo. It's nice to officially meet you. You're not quite the hideous monster that my husband seemed to describe."
"I'm glad?" Bo was surprised that this woman's sexual aura could not be read once her gaze was away from Lauren. It was almost like she didn't care about anyone else in the room, despite her obvious gaze and appraisal. "You're Roger's wife?"
"Katherine, or Kat." She came in to the kitchen and dropped off the brown paper bags in her arms on the counter beside the cucumber plate. "Lauren, you look radiant. Pregnancy suits you."
"Thanks." Lauren smiled at the woman, but she still didn't move from her spot next to Bo. "You look well."
"Roger mentioned he saw you recently; said you looked happy and very pregnant. I'm glad to see he was not lying to me." Kat smirked at Lauren, who finally did relax in her seat. Bo hadn't even realized how tightly her wife was gripping her hand until it was loosened. "Are you ready for tonight? Ritual chicken massacre?"
"We already tried that bit. Lauren gave it away." Maureen went about unpacking the bags that Kat had placed on the counter. Bo was trying to figure what they were cooking that they needed more fish and cheese. They were on a working farm. Everything was grown or made here, including fish and cheese. Bo had since gotten over the knowledge that she had been eating underfae products since she had discovered the fae. "Lauren was saying Nadia is back in town."
"Nadia?" Kat was ushering her children to the grand living room to work on their homework, but she did not seem to miss that name. "I ran into her last year. She mentioned a job in the city. Actually, she asked about Lauren, though I didn't have much to tell her. Is she still in town?"
"You mean, you don't know?" Bo felt extremely alert now. Nadia was still not on her favorite people list, and now that somebody who was supposed to be her best friend was saying that they didn't talk, Bo wanted to know exactly what was up, especially since this woman must have had a crush on Lauren at some point.
"She tried calling, but she kept hanging up." Lauren's own skepticism was surfacing, Bo could tell. Her wife was tense and even more guarded and inquisitive than usual. "I ran into her at a coffee shop a few months ago."
"Typical. Ten years later, and her MO still hasn't changed." Kat was chuckling, as though caught in memories. "She used to do that when she liked a girl. It's actually how we met."
"Huh, never would've pegged Nadia for the stalker type." Maureen seemed to chuckle, too. Bo was not finding the funny in the situation, especially considering that Kat wasn't wrong in implying that Nadia liked Lauren.
"You never gave her Lauren's number, though?" Bo remembered her wife stating that's how Nadia had gotten the info. Her alert was definitely on now.
"No. I actually didn't have it to give." Kat went to help Gram pull out dishes from the ovens on the wall. Maureen finally moved to help by grabbing trivets from drawers, but Lauren stayed still. Bo became worried at her wife's sudden quietness. Dinner would be ready soon, and the rest of the guests would start arriving. Given the new information that definitely required processing and more answers, Bo was ready to ask, but Lauren's collected demeanor faltered, and the panic and dizziness her wife felt hit Bo full force. She immediately jumped to action, forgetting the conversation.
"Hey, Lauren, let's go rest a bit." Bo placed what she hoped was a comforting hand on Lauren's back, guiding her to stand.
"Yes, go rest. Dinner will be ready when you come down." Gram pulled Lauren into a comforting hug, which did alleviate Lauren's stress some. Bo relaxed, too, though she did usher Lauren upstairs for a brief nap. The doctor only protested briefly. Bo didn't care that she wrinkled her dress clothes, which Lauren had pressed that morning, or that she forgot her blazer jacket downstairs. She snuggled beside her wife and let her own thoughts process while Lauren closed her eyes.
Lauren looked at the women sitting scattered around her. Gram was sitting in her "throne," as her nephews called it, though it was just a big blue massage recliner that had been here since she was a kid. Maureen was sitting beside her on the couch, Lauren in the middle so that Bo could take her spot beside her.
Roger had taken the kids home for the night, since they had school in the morning, but Kat had stayed on to visit with Maureen. They had cleaned up after the strangely pleasant dinner party and were now stationed in the grand living room. Bo came back into the room, having gone upstairs to grab a pillow for Lauren's back, who claimed she really didn't need it, but her overly protective wife was being also overly accommodating.
She wouldn't admit it, but Lauren loved the attention. Bo had even brought her flowers home the other day, which she had picked in somebody's yard during a case. Since she had gotten out of prison, she was trying her best to make up for lost time. Lauren hardly asked for things, but Bo was there with more than she needed.
The utter love, happiness, and contentment they both felt must have been why Gram finally invited them to a family dinner. Bo was now officially a part of the family, though she did admit when they carried dishes into the kitchen and they were alone for a few seconds that it was a lot of awkward thrown together at once. They would definitely be discussing that later after everyone left.
"Roger didn't seem to be as angry as when I last talked to him." Maureen spoke a question that had been on Lauren's mind since he accepted Bo's case. Why was he being friendly? What was his motive?
"I explained to him that if we only have so many years together, then he better make the most of them." Kat sipped at her wine, which everybody but Lauren had. She wouldn't protest if her glass of water miraculously turned into a glass of wine. She needed it after the earlier conversation. The baby had already been kicking her more than usual, excited that Bo was around, which always made Lauren a little dizzy at the power surge from their daughter. She was hungry a lot more as the baby continued to grow, which was normal, but she wondered why her extreme increase in diet did not cause her to grow any bigger than she was. She was just big enough to have a baby in her belly but hadn't really gained any additional weight. "I was the one who convinced him to take Bo's case. It was time to forgive. Walking around with that hatred was not good for anybody, and it was starting to hurt the kids."
"He hurt the kids?" Lauren was concerned. She had not been around her nephews that often, but they seemed like fun kids. They were quiet and well behaved. When they came to ask for help with their homework, Lauren smiled that Bo actually took the initiative first and sat down with them. She could picture her wife doing the same thing for Alexie and their children, even though Bo wasn't exactly the most obsessed with academics. Lauren suspected she would be the one helping with homework while Bo helped with sports. It was good to know they were so well matched that they both could help with everything.
"Not directly. They could tell he was angry, though." Kat leaned forward in her place on the loveseat across from them, swirling the red liquid in her glass. "I should apologize for my own anger, as well. If the roles were reversed, I would have probably gone even further and killed you all."
"We know." Maureen took a deep breath. Lauren could sense Bo's confusion and alarm at the discussion; she forgot that Bo didn't know Kat was a trained killer who was just as loyal to Roger as Bo was to her. Except for that one time when she drunkenly hit on her when Roger was paying more attention to his frat buddies; Lauren couldn't even remember why she had agreed to go out that night, but it wasn't that long afterwards that Roger mentioned Nadia. "Tom is still trying to find solutions. I finally told him to give up and just enjoy being with me."
"What about Hadley?" Lauren had not heard anything from her other sister other than what Bo mentioned about her husband taking the kids and leaving.
"Her anger still runs deep." Kat raised her chin and narrowed her eyes to assess Lauren before gazing over at Bo. "Word in the underground says she was the one who sent that hit."
"I'm not surprised." Maureen used to run and hide between Lauren when scary scenes or blood appeared on the television or movies they watched as kids. The woman she had grown to become spoke so easily of things now. Lauren didn't know what to think about her new family dynamic, as she realized just how much she had missed with their lives. That they were all accepting her now only spoke volumes to how much the dynamic had changed, which surprised her since she was still a hybrid. Babies really did bring families together.
"I heard as much as well, but she's not returning my calls." Gram looked sad, which was not uncommon when a Hestian felt like they lost a family member. Lauren wondered how deep her sadness went during those years they were apart from each other; all those years before Bo came along and started to change everything for her. "I'm glad you are all here."
"Always, Gram." Maureen smiled warmly, something that was inherent in a Hestian's biology. Lauren knew they could take the actual powers away, but the years of training and experience wouldn't change a person completely. "I'll start visiting more often now, I promise."
"You'd better." Gram smiled back at Maureen. Lauren watched the exchange, feeling her guilt resurface strongly at the realization that it was her formula that had changed the family dynamic now. Were they afraid of her now? Was that why she was finally treated kindly at a family dinner?
Lauren found she didn't like the attention from her extended family. Cousins, aunts, uncles, and others she hardly ever talked to growing up had grown a sudden interest in her. They seemed to treat her with…respect. It was an odd feeling coming from a room full of people who had never shown her any throughout her entire life until now. To bring Bo into the family and treat her kindly, as well, was just as strange. Kenzi would have said something like they were in an episode of the Twilight Zone, and Lauren would not hesitate to agree.
Bo was being quiet now, though she was sending light pulses where her fingertips brushed her shoulder. Lauren knew her wife was doing it as a comforting gesture more than a need to initiate sexual desire, but she was getting the effects regardless. Then again, Lauren suspected she would have the same response even if Bo was just lightly touching her shoulder without the pulses. She smelled beyond wonderful and looked beyond delicious in her business suit. If she didn't need the rest earlier, she would have taken Gram's advice and ravaged her wife without hesitation.
Lauren could tell the second that Bo picked up on her arousal, as she started to squirm in her seat and lightly clear her throat to hide her shock. For added emphasis, thinking she was being subtle, Lauren placed her hand on Bo's upper thigh that was pressed against hers on the couch.
Bo shifted again in her seat, and Lauren decided not to prolong the torture. If she had any chance of convincing Bo to have sex tonight, she would have to pounce on the opportunity before her wife had a chance to build control and resistance. There would be no discussion on the dos and don'ts of pregnant sex. Lauren had no trouble maneuvering through the discomfort her growing baby belly caused in their usual positions, especially when she was needy like this.
"Ladies, I think we're going to call it a night. It's been a long day." Lauren wanted to yawn for emphasis, but she knew she would give them away immediately. "It was lovely to see you again, Kat."
"You, as well, Lauren. Good tidings with the rest of your pregnancy if I do not see you before then." Kat stood to hug her, which only slightly alarmed Lauren. The woman rarely hugged anybody, since her touch could burn a person alive from the inside out. She had seen the Morrigan do the same once during her two days with her. "Nice to finally, officially meet you, Bo."
"Likewise. Drive safely." Bo only smiled in departure at the woman before placing a gentle hand on Lauren's back and addressing the other women in the room. "We'll see you in the morning."
Lauren didn't even get to respond in kind, as Bo ushered her from the room. They both walked a little quicker to get to the East Wing and up the stairs to the bedroom. She was glad she wouldn't have to convince Bo that much, as she was pulled softly against Bo's body, as her wife kissed her, displaying her hunger.
"Hungry?" Lauren knew the family was definitely feeding off of her at dinner, which is why she felt slightly drained of physical energy. With Bo officially being brought into the family tonight, there was no doubt they fed from her as well. This meant the succubus would be hungry; Lauren had to admit Bo's obvious sexual desire made her react in kind. She hadn't felt particularly sexy lately, despite her rationality that it was all pregnancy hormones. Bo backing off for fear of hurting the baby wasn't helping her feel sexy, either. So, Bo's obvious sexual itchiness was definitely rubbing off on her.
Perhaps she could talk Maureen and Gram into going to the Red Door tomorrow night, since there were no real plans for the day. Bo could feed fully, Lauren could get out of the house but still stay off of her feed and have sober fun at the fae bar, and they could spent quality time together as a family. Lauren realized she had never taken her little sister to a bar before, so it would be interesting to try new things.
"Starving." Bo went to place light, needy kisses across her neck. Lauren couldn't control her quiet moan of approval. They were going to need to be quiet; even though the other women probably knew what they went to do anyways, despite Lauren's attempts at subtlety, they didn't have to announce the actual act to the entire farm tonight.
"You can take some of me." Lauren welcomed Bo's mouth back to hers, loving how soft and gentle Bo was being as she pulled slowly from her. She could feel the baby's approval, and Lauren approved, as she definitely felt warmer, relaxed, and horny. Bo pulled back, not really feeding much to satisfy a hunger. She was taking Gram's advice; Lauren shouldn't be surprised at the good advice. Bo hadn't fed from her for several weeks; the familiar sensations this time only held strong pleasure. The pain was dull, much like it was when they made love instead of the slight twinges of pain she felt framed through the intense pleasure in their more hurried exchanges.
"Do you need anything? Do I need to do anything to make you comfortable?" Bo was moving her hands to pull off Lauren's dress, undoing the zipper in the back, and pushing it from her arms to let it pool at the floor below her. Bo moved her kisses down, kneeling in front of Lauren, kissing and rubbing her cheek across Lauren's stomach where the baby was moving. Bo had since learned to accept the movements were normal and that this, what they were about to do, would not hurt the baby. Their lack of sex life was more because of Lauren's discomfort for being in certain positions for extended periods of time. They had built up such a tolerance to intense and long sessions that immediate releases were not as forthcoming; it took some work, which Lauren still didn't mind despite the slight discomfort.
"I'm fine, Bo." Lauren closed her eyes, letting the sensations of her wife's mouth against her skin be her focal point. "I'll let you know if something's wrong."
"You'd better." Bo's expression was so serious and concerned, as she made strong eye contact and stood before her again. She was so gentle and loving in these moments; it was hard to believe that these hands were capable of doing any violence or harm to anyone.
"I will." Lauren pulled Bo back to her for a kiss before starting to undo the buttons on Bo's blouse and pants. Bo took the lead then, moving back to completely remove her clothing, even her underwear and bra. She was not playing games tonight, it seemed. Lauren smirked, glad that she was not going to protest as she removed the rest of her clothing, not caring that clothes were scattered on the floor. "We'll need to be quiet."
"Slow and quiet." Bo guided Lauren to the bed. "How do you want to…I mean…"
"Kiss me." Lauren laid back on the bed. "That's the perfect place to start. We'll see what happens from there."
Bo responded by smiling so adoringly and crawling on the bed beside her, kissing her and just letting what happened happen.
