Seven hours later, the Multiverse Heroes, Mane Six, and Aladar with his family eventually found themselves walking through a barren wasteland of mesas and rocks. Everyone was tired, exhausted and still shaken-up after the devastating events of last night. Jack was in the middle of checking the time with William when Twilight approached him. "Listen, the others are getting tired. We've been walking for hours. We need to rest," said Twilight.
"Yes, please! My mane looks HORRIBLE!" exclaimed Rarity, going into her "Drama Queen" mode. "Nobody cares about your precious mane! We have a more serious problem right now!" groaned Crusher. "And that problem is finding a place that has water and shade, if you know what I mean," added Rainbow Dash. "Don't worry. Once we find a safe place to rest, we can stop there. We just need to hang on for now," said Jack.
"But Jack, there's nothing but rocks and sand out here. I think we're all pretty safe for the time being," said Frost. "I wouldn't count on that," said Peter. "I'm probably right in saying that we aren't the only ones driven out by that asteroid impact. As far as we know, there could be predators out here, looking for an easy meal," the red and yellow dragon continued. "They'll take anything they can get."
"That's right. Which is we need a safe place to rest, and nowhere near any predators that could be out here," agreed White Tip. "Well anyway, all that aside I think we're doing the right thing for Aladar and his family," said Sally. "It's not exactly like we have a choice, Sal," said Sonic. "Aladar and his family are homeless, and by extension so are all of us." "What about the Space Bridge?" the chipmunk asked. "I'm saving that for an emergency," answered William.
"An emergency? Really?" asked Weiss in disbelief from where she and the rest of Team Rwby were riding on Rexy's back. "Yes, really. We survived the impact perfectly fine without it," replied the dragon. "And furthermore, I'm not going to risk potential damage to it." "So you're saying that we're stuck in the time of the Dinosaurs? FOREVER?!" asked Yang, with a worried tone in her voice.
"Well, that's just great!" groaned Sparx. "Oh stop complaining," said Knuckles. "We're not dead and that's what counts in my book." "Exactly. So for now we'll concentrate on helping Aladar and the lemurs find a new home," said Kujenga. "Agreed. Let's not worry about the Space Bridge right now." agreed Jack. Without saying another word, they continued onward through the wasteland. The wind whistled by them.
On Aladar's back, the lemurs were still shaken-up after what had happened to their home, and their clan. But Suri was still devastated the most. She sniffed with sadness as she held onto Plio. Yar leaned over and decided to try and comfort her. "Now, now, Suri. There's nothing to be afraid of," he said. "Yeah, we'll protect you four," Ryan said with a smile. Suddenly Zini shouted "Look!" which startled Yar and he cried out in surprise.
"Whoa!" said Aladar. Everyone looked in time to see a small and agile figure disappear over the crest of the next hill. "Did you see that?" asked Aladar. "What?" asked Yar. "I did," said Zini. "Me too!" said Suri. "We all did," said Romar. "What was that?" asked Sparx nervously. Aladar quickly made his way to and over the top of the hill. "Whoa, Aladar! Wait up!" said Zack as they went after him. But when they got to the top of the hill, the mysterious animal had vanished in thin air.
"Where did it go?" wondered Plio. "I don't know. Let's go see," said Aladar. "Whoa, whoa, I don't think that's a good idea," said Spyro. "He's right, we don't know what it is," agreed Fox "It did look familiar though, but I don't know what," said William. "Come on, let's just go see what it was," said Aladar and started heading down the hill to look for the creature. "Leave it alone!" protested Yar. "SHHH! Not so loud!" hissed Ruby.
"Yeah. You want that thing to hear us?" whispered Rainbow. "What we need to do is stick together," said Jack. But much to their concern about Aladar investigating, leaving the others no choice but to follow him. "We should just leave!" said Yar. "I'm with the monkey on this one!" said Sparx. "Shh, Dad," whispered Plio. "Quiet," whispered Fredryka. "It's scaring Suri," said Yar. "No, it's not," said Suri.
"It's not?" said Yang, feeling surprised. "Everyone, just be quiet," said Aladar and they moved forward to investigate whatever the animal was. As they went on, they heard the sound of rocks falling and the scurrying of feet all around the area that they were in. Understandably, this made some team members very nervous, Crusher and Shadow most of all as their muscles tensed, ready for a fight.
Zack, on the other hand, had quickly guessed that whatever it was, it wasn't alone. When they reached a certain part of low ground, the sounds got louder and closer than before. As Aladar looked around, he spotted something perched on a small hill near them. "Hey, look, there it is," said Spyro. Everyone turned and looked to where the Purple Dragon was indicating. Up on the hill was another dinosaur. But this one is not like Aladar at all, the fact that it stood on two legs was proof of that.
It had blue stripes along its neck and back, talon-like claws, a long jaw with serrated teeth sticking out and gleaming yellow eyes. It was chirping and snorting as it picked at its feet. Then it cocked its head as it then took notice of the heroes. Looking down at them another one appeared beside it. "What are those things?" wondered Aladar. Some of the heroes, mainly the Northlanders already knew what they were. "They're Velociraptors, this world's version of them anyway. Pack hunters," replied Peter.
"Sniveling creatures too, by the look of them," said Pod, his voice hinting at a growl. "Pack hunters? You mean they...?" asked Twilight, now feeling nervous. "Unfortunately, yes," answered Blue. Yang and Sparx gulped audibly. "Uh-oh!" they muttered in unison. "Yipe!" squeaked Cream. "Me too! Yipe!" said Amy. Then they heard a sound come from their right and they saw three more raptors appear on the top of the hill. Everyone then realised what was going on and became even more nervous.
Crusher, Rexy, Broken Jaw, Frost, Tyne and the rest of the animal members of the group growled and bared their teeth and claws at them in warning. "Oh, this can't be good," whispered Drake. "Just keep calm, everyone," said Kujenga. "Indeed, no sudden movements, and don't run," added Kargo. "And furthermore, don't panic!" added Spyro. Following Jack, Kujenga, and Cyra's directions, they started to slowly back away from the raptors, without turning their backs on them.
So far, the raptors only stood there, not attacking, but watching them. Suddenly Blaze gasped. "Behind us." They looked to see several more raptors, which just appeared out of nowhere, behind them. And they all realized that they were completely surrounded. "They look pretty hungry..." muttered Applejack nervously. "They're going to be hungry and sorry if they try anything," growled Crusher.
"While your courage is admirable I'm afraid that it's not going to be much help if they come at us from everywhere at once," said Zack. "And I'm guessing that we're on the menu." said Sparx, feeling nervous too. Suddenly a raptor landed right beside Aladar who gasped as he looked up at it. At first, it cocked its head at him and the lemurs, looking at them curiously. Then it suddenly let out a roar-like hiss at them.
Everyone then gasped as they were startled while some of the girls screamed after being frightened. Several numbers of Velociraptors slowly began to approach them, growling hungrily. "Defensive positions! Don't let them get past you!" Kujenga yelled as he unsheathed her claws and bared her teeth. Jumping down from Crusher's back, Ruby twirled her scythe, Weiss and Blake drew their swords and Yang cocked her fists.
Then some of the raptors leap at them. One went for Fluttershy, only to be knocked flying thanks to Ribo who jumped in front of her and slapped it with his paw, sending it flying backwards. "Nice one!" cheered Rainbow Dash. Two jumped at Spyro and Cynder, but they blasted them away. A fourth went at Jack, but he caught it in his jaws, shook it like a ragdoll and then tossed it away. Another jumped at Cream, but Amy knocked it flying into a rock with a single blow from her hammer.
Tyne and Tyson slashed at ones that came at them with their claws. One made the mistake of trying to attack Crusher, but the No-Soul-Tyrannosaurus simply grabbed it in his jaws and crushed its bones, killing it instantly. The others went for Aladar, but he was able to dodge their attack. "There's too many of them!" yelled Silver as he flung two of the raptors into their own comrades knocking all four to the ground only for three more to take their place.
"Go! Go! Go! Go!" yelled Jack and they all ran for their lives once again, with the raptors chasing after them. As they ran, they noticed that the wind was beginning to pick up and sand began to swirl all around them. "Great, a sandstorm! That's all we need!" yelled Pod. Despite the weather the raptors still kept at them. Even though they were running really fast, their pursuers, lightweight and built for speed, were still catching up to them. One raptor went right for Romar.
"Yikes! Why are you chasing ME?! I eat meat sometimes, just like you!" the raccoon yelped and tried to run faster. "I don't think that MATTERS to them, you idiot!" yelled Octa. The raptor quickly gained on Romar and opened its jaws in preparation to attack him. Luckily, Rexy came to his rescue and stomped down on the raptor, driving it into the dirt and sand beneath. "Thanks!" yelled Romar. The T-Rex simply replied to him with a wink. Two raptors came after Aladar and one of them leapt onto him.
Then it bites into his leg, and Aladar cries in pain. The other leapt at the lemurs on Aladar's back and tried to grab Yar, but it missed. Unfortunately, the sudden jolt of it hitting the Iguanodon made Yar fall backwards, but he was caught just in time by Zini. "Yar, grab on!" yelled Zini. "I can't reach!" the other yelled. One leapt onto Aladar to try and get the older lemur, but he was pulled up just in time before the raptor could snap him up. Then it looked up ahead, apparently noticing something.
Then it hopped off as it and the rest of the raptors started to fall back. Unaware that this was happening, the heroes kept running. "Guys, they're stopping!" yelled Plio. "What?! But why?" asked Spike, surprised. The heroes looked back. Plio was indeed right. They were just in time to see raptors turn around and run off. But everyone, except Aladar, noticed that the raptors weren't exhausted like their friend was, instead it seemed more that they had been scared off by something.
"Hey, they're leaving! The sandstorm scared them off! Alright!" cheered Rainbow Dash. But Jack had a different idea altogether. "I'd hate to disappoint you Rainbow. I don't think it was the sandstorm that scared them off. Something else did that," said the blue and red dragon. "But what?" wondered Cyra. Suddenly they heard the sound of several animals, echoing all around, but growing louder and louder.
Something, it may have been pure instinct, made Ribo look round and see a large shape materializing out of the storm beside Aladar. "Aladar! Watch out!" the White Dragon called in warning. "Huh?" muttered Aladar, but it was too late as he and Broken Jaw were knocked down by a large, slender lavender Iguanodon with blue eyes, purple spikes on his back, teal stripes, and a tan underbelly. "Hey, watch it!" the Allosaurus exclaimed.
"Stay out of my way!" growled the purple Iguanodon angrily. The lemurs, who had been knocked off of Aladar, scurried to get out of the dinosaur's way. "Road hog!" shouted Blue crossly. "You heard Kron. Move it!" yelled another large, muscular brown Iguanodon with green eyes, dark brown spikes, light brown patterns and a tan underbelly as he walked past them. As the others helped Aladar and Broken Jaw up, they found themselves in a traveling herd.
Large groups of Iguanodons and Parasaurolophus were moving past them as they fought their way through the blinding sandstorm. Then they heard squawking and looked down and they saw several smaller dinosaurs moving past and under them. As Aladar pulled his head up, he bumped into a pink, purple and tan female Iguanodon coming towards him. "Ow! Watch it!" she said and walked off with Aladar and the others watching her disappear into the storm.
Then their attention was caught by a ferocious bellowing. "Incoming!" warned Ruby. They looked round in time to see a group of Pachyrhinosaurus coming right at them. Mostly everyone got out of the way in time, but Aladar was pushed over and knocked down once again, along with Pod, Jack, and Starlight. Then a small horde of agile, two-legged Leptoceratops appeared and began to jump over them as they lay on the ground.
"Zini, get your head down!" said Yar as he pulled Zini's head down, so he didn't get hit by any of the small ceratopsians. Eventually, they scurried off as everyone helped the quartet to their feet. Then finally, they heard loud footsteps as it trembled the ground. And then they hear a loud bellowing above them. They looked up to see a gigantic sauropod, a Brachiosaurus, moving towards them.
Alongside it they could see the shape of a Styracosaurus following along behind. "Whoaaaaa..." said everyone in awe, marveled at the size of the Brachiosaurus. While some of the group moved out of the way, the others were caught between the sauropod's legs. As the Brachiosaurus moved past them, the female elderly Styracosaurus spoke to them as she walked past them. "Walkin' backwards, huh? Well, let me know if that gets you there any faster," said the Styracosaurus, in what appeared to be a sarcastic tone.
Then she spoke to an Ankylosaurus, who was following along behind her. "Keep those little legs movin', Url, or you'll get left behind," she said. As the heroes and Aladar looked over the hill before them, they could now see the entire herd as the sandstorm cleared up. Aladar and the lemurs had never seen anything like this before, and they finally saw that they weren't the only ones driven away by the asteroid after all.
"Look at all the Aladars," said Suri, amazed. "There's so many of them!" exclaimed Twilight. "I guess we weren't the only ones out here after all," said Kargo. "Well? Come on, what are we waiting for then, an invitation?" said Zack. "He's right. They're probably headed to greener pastures, or somewhere better," Cynder agreed. "If you're even thinking about joining them-" began Yar, not liking the idea, but he was suddenly interrupted when Zini yelped when they heard the raptors growling.
Looking back, they spotted three of the raptors again on the top of a hill behind them. "No time for decisions! Head for the herd!" ordered Jack. "Hang on! Hang on!" said Aladar to the lemurs on his back, as he and the others ran for the herd. The raptors chased after them, but they quickly came to a halt as they got closer. As the herd entered an area that resembled a bowl in the ground for the mesas, they all started to slow down.
By the time that the heroes caught up with them, they began to wonder what was going on and why they were stopping. Meanwhile, the same purple Iguanodon and the pink female Iguanodon from before were standing on a rock ledge looking down at the entire herd. The purple Iguanodon was looking towards the horizon when the brown Iguanodon spoke to him. "Kron," he said. Kron snorted as he looked down at his second-in command.
"There is a more protected spot further down the-" "We'll rest here for the night. Go ahead, Bruton," was the curt reply that he got. Bruton snorted in reply and roared, signaling to the herd to rest for the night. The herd started heading uphill once they realized what was going on. "I think we're stopping for the night," said Tails. "Finally, we can get some rest," said Pinkie Pie. "Now I can give my mane some conditioning. I look AWFUL!" exclaimed Rarity, checking her mane.
"Drama Queen..." muttered Yang to herself, rolling her eyes. Up ahead, they can hear the conversation of a female elderly Brachiosaurs talking to the same female Styracosaurus. They began to walk closer to them as flocks of Gallimimus moved past the pair in droves. "Oh, Eema, I wish we were at your Nesting Grounds now. All this pushing and shoving about, just for a place to sleep. I'm not used to this kind of behavior," said the Brachiosaurus.
"Baylene, you got big feet. Just give 'em a kick. GIT!" said Eema, as she used her front feet to kick a Pachycephalosaurus in front of her, and it ran off. "Ooh, I couldn't possibly" said Baylene. Brachiosaurus, along with other sauropods, are known to be gentle giants. They would never hurt anything. That would explain why Baylene didn't seem to like the idea of simply "kicking them". She gently tried to move the Leptoceratops scurrying past her.
"Shoo, shoo," stammered Baylene as she gently tried to move them away. "Will you come on, Baylene? You wanna get to the Nesting Grounds alive? Show some backbone" said Eema. "Hey there," said Aladar, Jack, Cyra and Twilight as they appeared on her left. Naturally the Styracosaurus screamed in fright and moved away quickly. "Oh, sorry about that," said Aladar, apologetically. "Yeah, we didn't mean to scare you," said Cyra.
"It's just, we overheard you talking, and, um..." began Twilight. Then Url, the small Ankylosaurus, approached them. He panted like a dog before dropping a stone in front of the four and pushed it towards them before continuing to pant as he wagged his bony club-like tail. Everyone looked at him with puzzled looks on their faces. "Well, my word. Look at Url. He doesn't normally warm up to strangers so fast," said Eema, feeling surprised.
"Uh, is it just me? Or is that thing actually acting like a dog?" asked Yang, puzzled. "Hey!" said Frost, taking offence to the comment, being a dog himself. The blonde Huntress rubbed the back of her head and chuckled nervously. "Heh heh... No offence," she added. The silver grey wolf simply let out a "Humph!" and rolled his eyes. "Wanna introduce me to these new friends of yours, girls?" asked a male voice.
Everyone turned to see who had spoken and saw a Nothronychus approaching them. He had dark brown scales covering most of his body with much lighter ones on his feet and hands and had long black claws and dark brown eyes. "Who are you? Other than being a dinosaur I mean," asked Jack. "Then we're both on the same page then. I'm just as surprised as you lot are. Never seen beings like you before," said the Nothronychus with a smile.
"So how did you wind up with this motley crew?" asked Tyson. "A long story, I would say. But introductions should be in order. My name is Marius," said the Therizinosaur, "and I see you guys have already met Eema and Baylene," "It's a pleasure to meet you and all," said Tyne. Baylene began to curiously sniff the lemurs on Aladar's back and snorted. "What an unfortunate blemish," she said. "Good mud bath'd clear those right up," said Eema, thinking the lemurs were some sort of parasites.
"Excuse me?" asked Yar, giving her a slight glare, feeling offended. Eema shrieks and growls at him. "Um, he's my grandfather, a couple of times removed," chuckled Aladar, trying to diffuse the situation. "Try a couple of species removed" chipped in Zini. "Hush, Zini!" shushed Cynder, giving him a look. "Uh, my name's Aladar. This is my family," said Aladar. "And we're the Multiverse Heroes," said Jack, gesturing to the rest of the group with his wing.
"And we're all that's left after what has happened" said Aladar. "Yeah, ever since the asteroid hit," said Kujenga. "Oh, my dear. I'm so sorry" said Baylene, feeling sad. "Baylene's the last of her kind. Finding stragglers like her along the way," explained Eema. "Ooh, you poor thing," said Fluttershy, flying up to gently stroke Baylene's neck. "I know how you feel," Pod said, sympathetically. "I was the only one out of me and my sisters to survive a tsunami that destroyed our old home."
"You guys got caught in it too?" asked Noah. "Yeah. Why do you ask?" said Octa. "I got caught in it as well," he said. "You were?" asked Marcus."Who wasn't? I was busy hunting for food when the asteroid struck. I barely got away. I would have died that night if I hadn't found a cave to take shelter in. After it ended, I left and wandered about for hours until I came across this herd," explained Noah.
"That must have been intense for yer," said Applejack with a wince. "You'd better believe it," said Noah. "We heard you say something about Nesting Grounds?" Plio asked Baylene. "Yes, what is that place?" asked Georgina. "It is the most beautiful place there is, child. It's where the herd goes to have their babies" smiled Eema. "Really? Babies?" asked Pinkie Pie with a wide grin. "Are all the females here pregnant right now?" asked Fredryka.
"Not all of them. Many of us are looking for that place since the fireball destroyed our homes," said Eema. "Might've guessed it," said Yang. "Will we find anybody that looks... like us there?" asked Suri, indicating herself and her family. "Oh, the last few days, I've seen 'em all shapes and sizes. Who knows what we'll find. The hard job now is just getting there," said Eema. "And we're being driven there without much mercy," grunted Noah.
"By who?" asked Aladar. "Kron, the herd's head honcho," explained Eema. "We can hardly keep up. An older woman like myself- It's- Well, it's positively indecent," said Baylene. "That doesn't seem fair! They should definitely slow down for you and Eema, at least" said Ruby and several of the others murmured in agreement. "Whoever this "Kron" is, he must have never heard a thing about "Never leave anyone behind", I'm betting," said Rainbow Dash.
"Then tell him. What's the worst he can do?" asked Aladar with a slight laugh. "Trust me, buddy, you don't want to know," replied Noah. "If you want to talk to him, then go ask HIM for yourself," said Eema. They all heard a growling sound and they looked up ahead, to see Kron, Bruton, and the female Iguanodon approaching them. Url moved out of the way as they passed by him. Instead of an "excuse me" or "pardon me", Kron just snarled at Aladar and the heroes.
"Hey!" said Zack, feeling offended. But they just ignored him as they walked away. "That is what I call rude!" said Applejack. "What a jerk!" muttered Sparx. "What's his problem?" asked Aladar. "That's him, honey. Kron," whispered Eema. "Oh, so THAT'S him," said Tyne, realization dawning on his face. "Come on, let's have a chat with him," said Tyler. "Uh, excuse us!" shouted Aladar as they headed towards them.
"Kron, you got a second?" shouted Jack. Kron snorted as he, along with Bruton and the female Iguanodon, turned to them as they approached them. "Get lost!" Bruton said to them. "Hmm. Relax, Bruton," said Kron. Bruton moved aside as he approached them. He studied them for a moment, for he has never seen these creatures before, including ponies, dragons, and mammals. After examining them, he finally spoke to them. "Who are you?" asked Kron. "Uh, Aladar," replied Aladar.
"My name is Jack the Dragon," said Jack, stepping forward to stand beside his friend. "And these are my comrades: Peter, Zack, William, Ryan, Georgina, Spyro, Cynder, Sparx, Frost, Tyne, Tyson, Crusher, Rexy, Blue, Pod and White Tip." "And I am Kujenga the Lion, and this is Octa, Fredryka and Romar," said Kujenga. "I'm Cyra, and this is Wisp and Shard," added Cyra. "I'm Twilight Sparkle, with my assistant Spike, and my friends, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash," greeted Twilight.
"Why aren't you uphill with the..." Kron began to ask. But then he looked over Aladar's shoulders and noticed the lemurs on his back. The four of them nervously waved back at him. "...uh, young bloods?" asked Kron, finishing before snorting at them. "Well, we were back here, talking to these guys," explained Aladar, indicating Eema and Baylene. The former gasped when she heard this and tried to hide behind Baylene's legs. She definitely didn't want to be part of the conversation that was taking place.
"As you can see, they're much too old unlike the younger ones. At their age, they can hardly keep up with the rest of you. They are not that fit anymore," said Peter. "So, you know, maybe you could slow it down a bit?" asked Aladar. The female Iguanodon chuckled and smiled at him, though it was hard to tell whether she was impressed by the fact that Aladar was actually suggesting something like this and was still breathing or if she was being genuine.
"Hmm. Let the weak set the pace. Now, there's an idea. Better let me do the thinking from now on, Aladar. The same goes for the rest of you," said Kron, but with obvious sarcasm. He chuckled as he walked away. "Hey, they need help back here," said Aladar. "Hmm. Watch yourself, boy," Kron, with a smirk, and walked away with Bruton towards the herd. "You watch yourself, old man," Crusher growled under his breath. The female Iguanodon moved ahead and looked back at them, smiling.
"Don't worry. That's how my brother treats newcomers, no matter how charming they are," she said before walking away. Aladar could not take his eyes off her the entire time and the heroes noticed. "You sure know how to catch a girl's eye there, stud," said Zini. "Yeah, I think you got yourself an admirer," added Ryan with a smile. "I wouldn't be catchin' nobody's eye if I was you, especially Neera's," said Eema. "Oh, so her name is Neera?" asked Knuckles. "Sounds quite nice," agreed Silver.
"Well, at least she's nice, unlike her brother. And she agrees with us," said Twilight. "Best you all just keep your heads down, and you mind what Kron tells you," said Noah. "Since when do we take orders from the likes of him?" asked Yar. "Yeah, the herd should have leaders like us, not him," said Shard. "I'll teach him a lesson or two!" added Broken Jaw, baring his teeth. "Nobody knocks me around like their personal football!" "Kron has swatted flies bigger than you two," said Eema with a chuckle.
"Ha! I've dealt with creatures and monsters larger and fiercer than him!" retorted Crusher. "He can't be tougher than a Death Worm." "A Death Worm?" asked Baylene, "What in heaven's name is a Death Worm?" "A fearsome beast from the Ethereal Basin in our homeworld. I'll tell you another time," answered Jack. "I could hold that monster's brain in the palm of my-" Yar began to claim. "No, Yar, she's right," interrupted Aladar, sounding dejected.
"Better to keep our heads down with this bunch than get 'em bitten off by... those things," the Iguanodon said, indicating the raptors on the hill above, which they had been watching them the entire time. "Are you sure we're safe here with the herd?" asked Amy. "Attacking a massive group would only result in getting them killed. They're hungry, but not enough to be that dumb," said Zack.
"Well, you just consider yourself lucky, that's all that's following us," said Eema. "Let's just hope it remains that way," said Jack. As night began to fall, everyone had gathered around the campfire built by the heroes, keeping themselves warm from the chilly night air. Aladar, the lemurs, Eema and Baylene were amazed how their companions had pulled it off. "Amazing!" exclaimed Baylene. "How did you guys ever do it?" asked Eema.
"Simple really. It takes basic knowledge on how to build a fire," said Ruby. "And what knowledge is that?" asked Yar, raising a cynical eyebrow in response. For the first time ever, the silver-eyed girl was stunned. It was very hard to explain to someone, especially an animal. "Well, it's... pretty complicated," she said, scratching her head. "Never thought I'd ever hear you say that," scoffed Weiss, rolling her eyes with a smirk.
"Well, I don't know about you guys," said Yang, letting out a yawn and stretching her arms, "but I think it's time for us to be hitting the hay." "Um, Yang, you do realize there are no beds out here, right?" reminded Spike. The Huntress' stopped stretching and her eyes opened in realization. "Oh yeah..." "Well, I should get some sleep too. And have some nice dreams of what lies at the end of our journey," said Jack with a smile, as he lay his head down on the ground.
"Well, bedtime everyone," yawned Kujenga. "Yeah, I want to rest my weary back for the night," agreed Rexy. "Me too," said Rainbow Dash. "Well, goodnight everyone" yawned Aladar. "Night, Aladar," the others replied. One by one everyone started falling asleep, either resting against each other or the rocks.
