Chapter 22

The Sword of Storms

As of right now our focus was in Jump City, or rather a particular building. The Jump City, Heritage Museum of Asian Culture. This building housed many artifacts, ranging from China, Vietnam, and of course Japan. This place was entirely dedicated to bringing items from that part of the world into America sharing the knowledge to those with Asian roots but for younger generations to who were eager to learn.

Inside of an office we see a man in his middle fifties enter inside of his office. In his hand was a small, wrapped package. Closing the door behind, he placed the package onto his desk closing the binds on a nearby window turning on the desk lamp to remove the wrapping. What revealed to be a wooden crate, all over there were kanji's inscribed not to mention three small red packs tied with what appeared to be chains keeping it locked. He removed the packs and grabbed a pair of cutters using them to break the chains holding the box..

Once free, he gripped both edges of the cover and lifted it up revealing a scroll inside. "Beautiful..." The middle-aged man proceeded to take the scroll out of the box. "So beautiful..." He breathed out because the scroll itself was in pristine condition, almost as if it was written the same day it was written.

He began to read the story the scroll had to share and reveal tracing each kanji that was written: "As for this, it is something which happened. The brothers of the dragons Kaminari and Inazuma brought their wrath upon the lands of a powerful daimyo. Smashing them with their powerful weapons. The Warhammer of Kaminari made mountains crumble and the forests tremble in fear. His brother, Inazuma wielded a flashing spear of white fire, which scorched the earth and boiled the sea. The daimyo was helpless before these monsters. To save his lands, he offered them what was most precious to him, his daughter. A fragile flower, as pale as the moon and as beautiful as the stars. But the daimyo had a brave samurai who loved the daughter. Knowing the daimyo's plan was to sacrifice the girl, the samurai sent her to a shrine deep in the woods where she would be hidden from the monsters. So, when the demons came to collect their prize, they found not the beautiful daughter, but a samurai warrior ready to protect his love."

A brief cutaway scene was shown. There stood the two demons.

Kaminari was a very large muscular demon with gray colored skin, short black hair and had two black horns. His clothing consisted of armor matching his skin with a red shirt underneath wielding a large wooden hammer.

As for Inazuma much thinner then, he looked more human, except for the two long brown horns on his head, including long pointed ears with an emblem on his forehead. His hair was solid white, reaching all the down to his back with a few long strands hanging out front including a few small strands on both sides of his lower chin area. His clothes consisting of a multi layered, blue robe with very faded out red outlines including a ribbon keeping it tied on. His weapon was a spear with large tip.

Standing before them was a young samurai warrior wielding his blade ready to fight off the demons. "Kaminari and Inazuma split the sky with their anger. Pounding their rage like daggers upon the samurai."

The warrior jumped avoiding an incoming swing from Kaminari's hammer before he tried to jump but got hit with a blast from Inazuma's spear falling back but got back onto his feet. "But he did not weaken, and it seemed the demons could not be stopped. They would break the samurai into pieces."

We now see the samurai standing on a rock deflecting a bolt of lightning and blocked Kaminari's Warhammer and another blast of lightning. With each swing you could see kanji written in the blade. "But the samurai's sword was inscribed with ancient words of great enchantment."

Nearby Inazuma flew by, and the samurai jumped down landing on the demons back before raising up his sword and plunged its blade into the back of the foul creature which roared out in agony crashing to the ground before jumping towards Kaminari. With a single swing, it pierced through his armor making him drop his war hammer. "The samurai's sword drank deep into the blood of the storm demons. It's magic, trapping them in its blade forever."

We see the samurai holding out his sword, and in its reflection were the two demons Kaminari and Inazuma sheathing his weapon and kneeled down before his lord. "The monsters were gone from his land, but the daimyo was angered by the samurai's trick. His promise to the demons had been broken. No matter honorees the bargin, the daimyo had given his word and the samurai had broken it."

We see him begin to leave walking through a bamboo forest leaving his angered master. "The samurai left to join his love at the shrine and never return. The dishonor to the daimyo's house could not be undone, there could only be retribution." We see him speaking up to the sky. "The daimyo beseeched the gods to ease his shame and the gods answered." At the bamboo forest we see that the samurai continued making his way through before suddenly he felt his hand harden, then his leg, the sword dropped into the ground and soon enough he had turned into stone.

Suddenly the scroll itself emitted a bright flash of light much to the professor's surprise. As he stared on two shadowy figures appeared materializing behind him and went into his shadow. Naturally he backed up recoiling from the sudden feeling tripping and losing his footing groaning as his glasses dropped.

Meanwhile elsewhere in museum we see a night guard doing his usual patrol making sure everything was fine before noticing the professor was standing in front of a display case that showed off many Katana's and weapons.

"Uh...professor?" He only got a snarl in response and for a brief moment the professors body seemed to become the outline of a demon spooking the poor man as the display cases suddenly shattered. The blades in the display case all flew off implanting into the floor behind him. All except one, he tried to reach for it, but when he did the blade shinned sending him flying. It then stood out straight as if someone was wielding it. In the reflections of the shattered case, the samurai warrior could be seen as for the professor he got into a stance as the samurai. Behind the man two shadow's materialized behind him. Two every familiar enemy's he had faced before. Each of them made their move and a surge of energy exploded out of the museum.

At the same time up in the clouds we see the elemental brothers Thunder and Lightning both jolt awake in there home up in the sky.

Lightning turned to Thunder a worried expression on his face. "Brother did you feel that?"

"I did...It's as we feared." Thunder replied as they both get up and they close their eyes for a moment and reopened them.

"This cannot be..." Lightning turned over to his sibling. "The sword was sealed away..."

"But now it's been found...and unless we do something, the demons will return. We must act."

"Even if we did, what chance do we have?" Lightning questioned. "Our ancestors fell them..."

"That may be true, but this time, we are not alone." Thunder reminded his brother smiling. "Our friends can help."

"It's not their fight though."

"It is. Overseeing the protection of the world is their responsibility as well."

By now we see the Titans investigating what occurred in the Museum.

Robin was currently talking to the heads of security along with the rest of the staff with Starfire right beside him. Cyborg and Rook were currently scanning the area, and Beast Boy was on the floor as a blood hound sniffing around to see if his sniffer caught a whiff of anything. While Terra was helping out with Shane cleaning up the mess that was made to pitch in.

The teams comic relief shifted back into human form. "Sheesh, whatever happened here, sure left a mess." Beast Boy commented.

"Well, whatever it was, were picking up traces of energy here." Cyborg said looking at his forearm. "The readings are off the charts."

"Bigger question, what caused this?" Shane asked walking over to them.

"I mean, we only have one eyewitness."

"I believe we can shed some light looking over some of the footage from the security cameras." Rook suggested shifted his proto tool into a pad and logged into the security footage showing different camera angles and the man who touched the sword case.

"Who's that guy?"

"I asked around and the one at the center of this is the head director of the museum's Japanese exhibits Professor Yamasato Sakai. He's the director, and a professor focusing on the history of Japanese folklore and mythology."

"Huh...That's interesting. Is anything that says he's been acting weird lately?"

"No, just only for the past two days he's had his teaching assistant handle his classes." Rook hummed raising an eyebrow. "That's odd...look at this..." Rook paused the footage freeze framing it and zoomed into Professor Sakai's face had morphed into that of a yokai like face. "Humans don't usually look like that do they?"

"No, they don't...Probably should pass that along to Robin." Shane got a nod back from Rook walking off, allowing the teen to walk through the museum to survey the rest of the damages that were left in the Museum.

While looking around Shane paused as he saw Raven standing in place right in the middle of the room with her eyes. "Raven? What is it?"

"I feel evil...it's strong...ancient...and angry." She reponed her eyes. "Whatever was here, it's not good."

"Hmm?" Shane noticed something out of the corner of his eye, curious Raven turned around and soon enough there was a small gray fox looking up at them. "When did you get in here?" Shane questioned in confusion. Thier communicators go off and they answer it.

"Yeah Rook?" Shane replied. "Robin wants us to gather and discuss our next move."

"Roger that, on the way." When they went to look down at the little canine was gone, like it wasn't even there. Which was strange, they'd hear it scamper away, something but nothing at all. Just an old Katana in its place. "You saw that fox, right?"

"Yeah, I did. Weird." They both glanced down at the katana laying on the floor.

"So, should we take it back the museum staff?"

"That'd probably be best..." Raven replied as Shane picked it up and examined it out of curiosity. "The sword is really old."

"It does have that vibe." Shane agreed before noticing some kanji on it. "Hey, there's something written on..." Shane stopped mid-sentence. "...here." The reason why because they were no longer in the museum instead, they were outside and on top of a hill slope surrounded by beautiful landscapes and a very familiar iconic mountain? "I don't think were in Kanas anymore."

Raven raised an eyebrow at what he said. "Really?"

"Sorry, couldn't help it." Shane shrugged before turning to face a mountain in the distance. "Ok, if I'm not mistaken and that looks very familiar, I think, were in Japan. The bigger question is how?"

"I think it knows." Raven commented looking over to the forest prompting Shane to as well to see the fox just sitting there and began walking down a path.

"Ok, so were just gonna follow a fox we just met a few seconds ago?"

"Looks like it." The goth mage replied back.

"Great..." Shane groaned as he and Raven proceeded to follow the fox into the forest, with hardly much choice.

The titans were gathered around.

"What's our next move?" Cyborg questioned.

"Probably find Professor Sakai. He was the one here when it happened. That'd be a good place to start." Robin answered before looking around. He noticed they were two people short. "Where's Omni and Raven?"

"They should've arrived by now." Rook was just as confused as their team leader was. So, he brought out the communicator trying to call them up. "Omni? Raven? Are there you there?" From the device he got nothing but static.

In the forest the fox continued walking before jumping onto a log and sat down waiting as Shane and Raven caught up. Seeing they didn't lag behind the canine hopped off continuing on before it suddenly disappeared only to reappear on top of a small rock.

"You're not a normal fox, are you?" Raven questioned.

"And you both aren't so normal yourselves." The fox replied back in a female voice revealing it's gender.

"You don't say..." Shane noted back glancing around setting the tip of the sword down onto the ground. "So, what's the whole deal? Why are we both here?"

"Do I look like a philosopher?" The fox retorted back.

"Could've fooled me." Shane shot back as the canine looked to the katana the omnitrix wielder had.

"You carry the Sword of Storms, and it has tasted the blood of demons. Which is ironic, considering one of you has the blood of one." Hearing this confused Shane while Raven widened her eyes in worry and diverted her eyes away. "That's all you need to know for now." The fox jumped off the rock as she continued forward.

"For now? That doesn't help us as much." Shane exclaimed. "That's much useful advice!"

"Then here's some advice." The fox said turning to them. "Don't cut yourself." As she continued on, the canine glowed before turning into four small wisps of fire swirling around the two teens as they darted off into another direction through the tree lines.

"Guess we go this way now..." Shane said following the flames while Raven lagged behind looking a bit troubled. "Raven, come on."

The four wisps of flames were now seen flying over a stone path giving light guiding the two teens as they approached what appeared to be an old shrine. As the duo got closer, they paused.

"You hear that?" Shane questioned glancing around lowering down his voice as a faint sound was heard.

"I do..." Raven confirmed. "It sounds like...crying?" Sure, enough ahead they saw the four flames stopping in front of the shrine and as they were getting closer the crying was getting louder. Soon enough they saw what appeared to be the spirit of a female ghost whimpering on the steps.

"My love..." A sudden light breeze of wind blew the spirit away as they entered inside the shrine. Shane opened the door, they entered inside, it was completely in disarray and clearly had seen better days.

"My love..." They stopped upon hearing the voice. The spirit was there once again. "Why did you not come?"

"Um...Are you talking to me?" Shane questioned pointing to himself.

"You sent me here...While you faced those terrible demons." As she was explaining everything became what appeared to be a flash back showing her when she was alive. "When the storms ended, I knew I had been rescued from my father's pledge. I was ready to receive you and I waited. But you never came." She paused for a moment shedding some tears. Outside they heard a horse neigh. "Once I thought I heard you..." They watched as she walked to the door all excited, but it dropped upon seeing an older man who was most likely her father, and he was furious. "But I was mistaken. My father spoke of duty, and shame and death." He was now standing behind her as she got on her knees as her father drew her sword. "Even then I thought any moment, my love would come, and he would save me..." Much to Shane and Ravens shock they watched as her father grit his teeth striking down his own daughter killing her instantly.

The memory stopped as the spirit continued to weep. "Why did you not come?" She asked before fading away like last time.

"What the heck was that?" Shane questioned in confusion looking to Raven.

"She's trapped here, and her spirit hasn't passed on yet." The mage deduced. "Whatever is happening, it has to be tied with the sword."

"And you are right." They heard a familiar voice outside stepping out to see the fox had returned. "The two of you have been placed on a dangerous path. Protect the sword and keep moving east towards the rising sun."

"Ok...which way is East?"

"That way." Raven pointed and so he followed her.

"What do you mean they disappeared!?" Starfire exclaimed her voice raised loud enough to echo through the entire museum.

"I don't know!" Cyborg said as he was tinkering with his arm. "I can't find their locator signals."

"And I can't track Shane's Plumber badge either." Rook added. "It doesn't make any sense."

"You don't they were taken do you?" Beast Boy asked and then up above they saw storm clouds starting to gather. "What now?"

"Titans, get ready." Robin commanded all of them getting ready for possible action. They all watched as two different pillars of electricity descended down from the sky, one blue and one yellow, both of them hitting the ground flashing the area around them. When the flash of light died down and some smoke clearing, we see Thunder and Lighting.

"Hello friends." The blue elemental greeted walking up to the titans who were surprised to see them. The team calmed down recognizing the friendly faces, Terra and Rook however, both raised eyebrows in confusion. This pretty much made complete sense, because the two weren't part of the team when they first encountered the two elemental brothers.

"Who are they?" Terra questioned.

"Thunder and Lightning." Beast Boy answered as he rushed up to give Thunder a high five. "Hey guys, long time no see!"

"Nice to see you too, green one." Thunder smiled pleased to see the friend who helped open his mind once again.

Starfire chimed in. "Once we fought against them, but they helped us and changed their ways. They are our friends."

Although, it was nice to see foes who had become their acquaintances Robin knew something was wrong, since the brothers never appeared out of the blue like this. "What are you doing here?"

Thunder grew serious. "We wish that our meeting would be under better circumstances. But it's not."

"We need to talk..." Lightning said in a serious tone showing they weren't playing around. "It's urgent..."

In an alleyway we see a man exit out a back door taking out a bag of trash tossing it into a dumpster. As he was about

"Hey! Old man! I don't care what your problem is! Stay away from my garbage!" Sakai merely growled in response. He was hardly looking human at all. The man teared a piece off wood off a crate using it as a makeshift weapon. "Get out here before I teach you a lesson!"

Sakai finally responded, grabbing the side of the dumpster with inhuman strength tossing it towards the man who rolled out of the way avoiding the dumpster as it wended up against the wall near the door. The man stared on in shock as Sakai continued to growl, a light above him exploded along with some windows up above. Currents of electricity began to run through some wires hanging nearby.

Soon enough all the energy began to convert over to Sakai, who stood up, face changing into a more Japanese demonic look holding out both hands. This was enough to drive the owner away. With the owner scared witless and running away screaming the electricity dispersed.

Reaching into a small bag, the possessed individual proceeded to place what appeared to be a small statue showing what had detailed heads onto a small scroll.

Back in the forest we see the two continuing to walk through the forest. By now the sun was gone and night had fell upon them.

"Ok, so here's what we know so far, were in another country, talked to a ghost, and a talking magical fox told us to continue on while guarding a sword that killed demons. Am I leaving anything out?"

"No." Raven answered bluntly.

The omnitrix wielder sighed. "Not exactly what I had in mind when I first come to Japan."

"What you wanted to come here?"

"Yeah, why not? It's been on my bucket list. Plus, my mom was from here. Well, not exactly, here but modern times." Raven paused in her tracks confusing Shane. "Why'd you stop?"

"We got a problem." Raven replied as Shane looked over and saw what she was talking about. The trail split into three different paths leaving them with a dilemma. "Which way do we even go?"

"I don't know." Shane yawned stretching out his arms. "But I'm bushed right now."

Suddenly a man from the middle path came walking towards them, he was wearing traditional Japanese clothing walking with a stick and a lantern.

"Why you both out here? To dangerous, bad things in these woods at night."

"We don't have a place to stay." Raven explained.

"Ah, I see. You both come and stay at my house. Ok?" He lead the way going to the right path. Both titans exchanged a look with one another, Shane shrugged his shoulders figuring they'd take the offer they followed him.

"I have other guest staying tonight. They will be happy to see more faces."

"Um...we don't want to be any trouble." Shane said a bit unsure but was thankful for the kindness.

"No trouble, big house, lots of room."

Inside of the house we see a door slide open showing the man that guided the duo open it. They stepped into a room where there were four other males and one female talking amongst themselves. They stopped upon noticing them.

"Ah, we have company." One of the males noticed while the woman leaned to another man.

"Oooh, he's cute."

"Don't mind her, it's the saki talking." They all chuckled amongst themselves.

"Just travelers, like yourselves." The Host said. "Mr. Lu here tells very funny stories."

"Uh...don't let us interrupt." Raven was feeling a bit unease for some odd reason.

"Maybe you both know this one." He began to share it. "A farmer met a ghost woman who gave him a golden box. She said "You must never open this box." So this fellow he took it home, hid it from his wife. But one day, she found it and looked inside. And what do you suppose was in the box? It was full of gouged out human eyes." The others laughed at this while Shane glanced over to Raven. "And at the very moment she saw them, the farmer dropped dead in his field and the wife lived the rest of her days in emeral. The end." While they were all laughing, Shane and Raven were not.

"Uh, were gonna hit bed." The omnitrix wielder spoke up as they exited the room closing the slide door behind them.

"This way." The host lead them into a single room. "You both fine sharing one room?"

"Its ok. We'll manage." Raven answered as they entered the room both getting onto the floor.

"Sleep well." The host closed the door and walked off.

"Your not the only getting a bad feeling right?" The gothic mage questioned.

"I am...Don't worry, we'll be ready." Shane set the sword right next to him.

"I'll stay up and take first watch." Raven volunteered. "It'll be fine, you'll need rest. I'll wake you up in a little bit."

"Alright." Shane laid down and dozed off.

Sometime later we see Shane wide awake, keeping the sword close to him, only an hour ago, Raven had woke him up. Now she was fast asleep, Shane had loaned her his jacket to use as a makeshift pillow. While watching her sleep, lots of thoughts were rolling through his mind.

One being what exactly made this sword special? Why were they brought there? And what did that fox mean earlier? One of them having demon blood? Shane knew he didn't have any, there was no way. Unless, it had to been Raven. He couldn't just take the foxes word for it though; he's known Raven ever since they first formed the team. Instantly they became good friends, he knew a bit about her past, like being born in place called Azarath but that was it. She didn't share to much of her own past.

Then again, why should she? Shane hasn't bothered tinkering with his own past at all. He wanted it to keep buried, for good reasons. Some of them were dark moments in his life. Suddenly he spotted something flying by him. He couldn't make out what it was, but it moved fast enough darting by the door, it didn't look like a person at all, it was rather small.

Frowning a bit Shane shook Raven gently who stirred awake he quickly put a finger on her lips silencing her. The goth's eyes widened at how close he was, but she understood that something was very wrong as he put a finger on his own lips. This was a way of telling her to be quiet.

Now wearing his jacket, both titans snuck out of their room and went into the same one where the guests and host were at. But when they arrived, the duo found the weirdest thing they'd seen yet. All of the people in the house didn't have there heads.

"Didn't...think I'd see this..." Shane exclaimed as he glanced down at the floor. "No signs a struggle, and not a drop of blood."

"The necks also don't show any signs of them being cut off either." Raven noted.

"Bigger question is, where are there heads?"

.p..

Outside we see Raven holding up a piece of stone with her powers, with Shane finishing up tying a chain around the headless bodies. He gave her the signal and she tossed the stone into the lake letting the bodies get dragged down like an anchor.

"We should get out of here." Shane advised as they started walking off into the woods. When they did, the two heard talking.

"They must be asleep by now." Quickly Shane and Raven hid behind some tree's listening in on the conversations of some talking floating heads, five of them. No joke, they were doing just that, only they appeared to be more vampire like, there ears were pointed, eyes glowing green and had mean sets of chompers.

"Yes, soon. I am starving."

"Fine meals they've sent us for the price of a broken sword." The female head said.

"But it is the Sword of Storms that holds the brothers of the dragons." The host head said. "For that, we deserve a feast like this." Suddenly from behind a panicked scream was heard, both titans ducking down as the sixth head emerged a look of panic on his face.

"There gone and they've taken our bodies!"

"What!? Our bodies!?" The host head exclaimed fearfully.

"They've hidden them!" Soon enough all of the heads eyes began to shine out like search lights floating around looking for the duo.

"Find those two!"

"Look around!" The female head said. "They couldn't have gone far!" Her lights scanned the area before landing onto Shane who held up a piece of bamboo.

"Wassup?" He asked before slamming the head away from behind another head rushed towards him but Raven kicked him away.

"Get them!" The other heads lunged forward and started biting onto their clothes. They couldn't kill them just yet, not till they knew.

"You were all gonna eat us!? Screw you!" Shane started swatting the heads away from him and even shoved the end of it into one of the heads eyes making it shriek out of pain.

"Make them talk!" One of the male heads shouted out as the female head got into Shane's face.

"What have you done with our bodies!?"

"Talk!" The host added as Shane punched it in the face in response. "Were wasting time! Tell us!"

"Get...off!" Raven yelled out on the top of her lungs using her powers to send the heads flying off of them in all directions. Taking the bambo, Shane got ready and swung the heads away like they were baseballs left and right.

One of the heads, the one that delivered the news went over to them pleading. "Oho, please! What have you done with our bodies?

"You tried to eat us. Karma is a bitch." Shane said in cold tone slamming the bamboo onto the floating body part followed by Raven kicking it into a try like a soccer ball.

At that moment the other heads came floating towards them. Raven turned towards the demons and smirked. "You all should be running by now." They all stopped in confusion. She pointed to the distance, the heads looked over in that direction and soon enough, the lights from the sun pierced through the tree lines.

Immediately when the heads came into contact they all screamed in agony as they erupted into green flames disintegrating into ashs falling to the ground

"Where did you hide them?" The remaining head asked plead fully as it started to burn.

"We dropped them in the lake. You didn't look to hard." The gothic mage said stepping out of the way letting the sun finish it off as it turned into a flaming skull and then ash.

"Better them then us." Shane said as they continued on forward.

In the alley we see the possessed Sakai who was furious at what he witnessed as he angrily he takes the small figure and clenches it, electricity erupted as it disintegrated into dust.

He then brings out another small statue showing a woman with the lower part of her dress having a spider web outline.

By now see Shane and Raven walking continuing to walk through the forest where golden leaves were falling around them. All in all this was a very beautiful scene. But considering what they encountered already, they can't be to careful.

While doing so, Shane decided to use the moments they had right now to try and talk to her. "Hey Raven? Earlier, what did that fox mean?"

"About what?"

"Something about one of us having demon blood? She must've been mistaking that right?"

Raven stopped upon hearing this immediately his question was confirmed. "Huh? Wait, she meant it? And she was referring to you?"

"Just ignore it." Raven said continuing to walk forward.

"Hold on, wait. Time out for a minute." Shane rushed up in front of her. "You mean, your like half demon born or something?"

"Yes, now drop it." Raven shoved him out of the way.

"I don't get why do you that? No wait, then again you got your reasons." She turned around snapping around glaring at him.

"You are right, I have my reasons. I have a story to tell, but that doesn't mean I have to share it. Even with you Shane." She turned around and walked forward. "You have a past that you're not so open about, so why should I tell you mine?"

"That maybe so, plus your right. I do have a past I don't want to remember, buts it's there. How's about this? You feel ready to share and I'll tell you my story."

"..." Shane didn't say anything, he just remained still before continuing knowing full well she had made a very good point. As they went deeper into the woods through the golden leaves, they didn't notice some spider webs and the small arachnids themselves. Some were crawling through the trees

They heard music playing but wasn't aware of the spiders nearby. Some crawling through he branches of the trees. Suddenly the duo heard music and they headed to the direction of where it was coming from. Up above spiders were descending down from their strings and others were emerging from the leaves the two teens were stepping on.

In a clear, Shane and Raven had found a beautiful woman playing a Koto. She was on her legs, wearing a kimono with a large lower robe covering them.

"Ah, you're just in time. I was just about to play one of my own compositions."

"By all means play away." Shane encouraged having that same bad feeling from before.

The woman chuckled as she continued playing. "Oh I will, seeing that I have an audience. You both look tired, a pleasant tune can help ease your burdens. Sit with me and we can enjoy ourselves."

"Listen, we appreciate the offer. But we have someplace that we need to be." Raven declined the offer, she and Raven continued walking.

"Listen to the tone of this Koto, I made the strings from my fine silk." As she was playing, the white strings began to turn red. The red was coming from her finger tips. Both titans stopped to see that the red was her own blood! "Is it not beautiful?"

"Time to go..." Shane said but suddenly felt stuck for some reason. There was a spider web tangling around his jacket. "Wha!?"

Raven was in the same position, they started to get dragged up was while the woman continued playing. "Crap!" Shane cursed as they both looked up and saw that spiders were reeling them in. As they were going up, they saw the skeletal remains of the spider's victims all wrapped up webs.

The gothic mage gasped as she noticed spiders were crawling around her teammates waist slowly taking the Katanna from his waist. "Shane! The sword!" But it was to late, they'd taken it up.

Down bellow the lady laughed and the leaves surrounding her began to shake before all the sudden a spider leg sprouted out.

"Whoa!" The omnitrix wielder was not expecting that she was part spider Raven felt the same way as she 'crawled over to them'

"I'm sorry, I couldn't share my music with you two, but a mother must feed her children." Spiders started lowering themselves over to their dinner, there were dozens of them going for the kill.

Despite this situation, Raven's eyes glowed, her powers coating the sword making it swing out of the spiders holding cutting them loose and killing a few spiders in the process much to the Jirogumo's surprise dropping down. Shane quickly caught the sword while Raven rolled out of the way to avoid getting stabbed by the demons spider legs.

"This way!" Shane grabbed her hand and the two made a rush for the trees where the Jirogumo gave chase. But because of her immense size, she couldn't follow them and emitted shrieks of anger. Her eyes glowing green before breathing fire at them. Raven quickly used her powers to make a barrier shielding them from the attack.

"Keep going!" Raven said with Shane nodding and continued running forward stomping on spiders in the process and used the weapon to cut through the webs.

The Jirogumo found another way around and resumed its pursuit. Shrieking the spider woman let loose another fire attack, missing her mark. Continuing to use that attack, not carying if some of her 'children' got caught in the cross fire.

Despite the heat behind them, the two didn't slow down there pace and finally managed to get out of the tree lines and out into the open. From behind, and due to her large body the Jirogumo couldn't continue on anymore. So in one last final effort it made one final fire blast. All of that was in vain as the attack started a fire scorching some tree's and began to burn away both her and the spiders in the process.

"Damn..." Shane admitted.

"She's not mother of the year, is she?" Raven inquired.

"Nope." They continued forward ignoring the agonizing wails of the spider woman.

Once they both made a good amount of distance away from the spider woman both teens sat down to catch thier breaths.

"Wow...that was...easy. Like super easy, I didn't even need to turn into an alien."

"Remind me not be around spiders for a while." Raven commented getting a chuckle from Koda.

Back in the alleyway the furious possessed professor swatted the woman figure away replacing it with another, one that resembled that of a turtle. Placing it on the scroll.

By now we Shane and Raven out on a valley where there were many water falls all around them.

"At least were not in the forest anymore." The omnitrix wielder noted as they got to lower ground.

"True, but we don't know what's in the water either."

"Ah, I see." Shane got where she was coming from, as they were walking Shane noticed there was someone in the distance. "Also it looks like were not alone out here." He pointed.

The old man was by the edge of the lake using a small knife to carve in kanji symbols into cucumbers and stabbed the knife into the ground. Blowing them off and holding them up a pray full manner before tossing it out into the water. One of the cucumbers that was submerged sunk down into the water. Something clearly lurked underneath.

He sighed a bit. "Please tell me you're not gonna turn into a monster and attack us." Shane said as he and Raven walked over to him.

The old man held up his hands in defense. "No, no. The monster is in the lake." He motions over to the water.

"Then are you feeding it?" Raven questioned in confusion.

"Because he's already eaten many of my family." The old man said sadly before leaning down to pick up a cucumber. "But, if I write the names of those of us left on these cucumbers, the kappa takes the vegetables and leaves us alone. For a year, he really likes cucumbers."

Unbeknownst to the two a webbed scaley webbed hand reached up onto the shore. "I could carve one for you both." He offered as hand reaches towards Shane.

"No, thanks we'r-Whoa!" Shane suddenly got pulled into the water and the old man started to panic.

"What is your name!?" He called out and then turned over to Raven. "What is his name!?"

"I wouldn't count him out just yet." Raven said much to the old mans confusion.

Down below in the water as the kappa was pulling Shane, he mustered all his strength turning on the omnitrix slamming down onto the core. Naturally the kappa was taken by surprise with the sudden green flash of light before getting swatted away.

Up in the surface, the kappa came bursting out of the water and from behind Reptilian snarled jumping up and used his tail to slam the demon back into the water. Naturally the old man was surprised and shocked. "Told you." Raven said like it was no big deal.

Down in the water, the Kappa reached over and bit Reptilian in the neck. The aquatic reptilian alien snarled spinning around and shook it off. It then proceeded to head but the Kappa right into the chest making it crash into a rock before swimming off.

While doing so, it caught a glance at the sword of storms and grabbed it. But Reptilian wrapped his tail around it's arm and snatched it out of the turtle like demons' arm with his teeth while his opponent kicked Reptilian away. Seizing the moment, Reptilian threw the sword making it fly up into the air and landed right near Raven implanting itself into the ground adding more awe and shock to the old man.

Reptilian surfaced quickly swimming over to some rocks but was taken by surprise as the kappa jumped out tackling the alien over the waterfall. Using her powers Raven and the old man followed the fight while she was holding the sword. Both of them were wrestling through the water, each one not letting up to try and gain an edge over each other. It was much like a fight between two large crocodiles fighting over territory. Despite the turtle having the home field terff advantage, Reptilians race can adapt to any forms of water to he could go on all day. But he knew the omnitrix wouldn't last forever, he had to finish this quickly.

"Spill his water!" The old man called out. "Spill his water!" Reptilian huffed now knowing this information and got ready revealing his frills challenging the kappa to come get some. The kappa dunked back down before leaping towards the alien who emitted a bright flash with his frills taking the kappa by surprise, blinded by the light biting into its chest, even though its hard shell was an issue, it slammed the kappa's head to the side of a rock splashing some water before tossing it aside to the shoreline.

The kappa panicked feeling the water on top of his head being halfway empty. It made the jump for it, however Reptilian jumped and bit onto its legs throwing it back onto the shore. Extending out his tail, Reptilian flipped the Kappa over upside down and started dumping out its water. The turtle vainlessly not able to succeed keeping any water in its head.

The turtle suddenly started to admit a noise, and from the looks it, the kappa was starting to shrivel up? Yes, it did, they started shrink down and shrivel up. "Ask it a question!" They turned to the old man who rushed over to them tripping in the water but continued walking towards them. "You both defeated it. It must answer your questions."

Hearing that, Reptilian nudged Raven with is tail to start talking as he changed back while there was still time. "Why is the sword important?"

"It holds the demons." The kappa answered. "It is your way home."

"How do we get home?"

"Break the sword and return home...Break the sword and free the demons." The kappa answered laughing a bit as it gagged before freezing in place.

"How do we stop the demons!?" Shane questioned but it was to late, the Kappa and shrunken down and completely shriveled up. "Hey! We're not done talking!" Gripping it by the legs Shane banged it against a rock of couple times but didn't get no response. "Go figure."

He turned to the old man and passed it over to him. "Keep it away from water." With that said he and Raven left continuing processing the information they just learned.

"This is worse than we thought..." Raven said as they continued on forward. "Now we have to make sure nothing happens to the sword."

"I mean we could just break it though and get back home." Shane said as he shrugged his shoulders not to sure on what to do. "There's more than a handful of hero's that can help beat them."

"No!" Raven turned around taking Shane by surprise. "We are not doing that. Under no circumstances are we freeing them just so we can get back home."

"Ok, I'm sorry that was stupid."

"Yes, it was..." The goth scoffed continuing to walk. "Just like when you picked up the sword."

"Hang on a minute, now you're getting mad at me!?" Shane exclaimed. "No, wait, this has to do with me finding out more about you, isn't it?"

"No, it's not!" Raven replied.

"Well come on geez! Were supposed to be friends, aren't we?"

"Friends respect each other's privacy."

"But only when they know somethings wrong." Shane shot back before stopping. "Raven, I don't get it, why hide what you are?" Raven stopped hearing that question. "I mean, everyone in the team accepts who are, so why?"

She didn't look back but instead down towards the ground. "If you really knew what I was, you wouldn't want to."

"Try me.

"Drop it."

"Raven, I mean it, you're my friend. I trust you with my life. So, for once, right now I'm only asking that you trust me." Shane continues walking taking the sword from her in the process. "So, let's talk."

Back at the museum, Thunder and Lightning examined the scroll that was laid out onto the desk.

"So, it is true...the Sword of Storms has been found." Lightning set the scroll back down.

Thunder frowned at this. "And the demons have returned." This was worse than they thought.

"Sword of Storms?" Robin was confused. "What's going on? Is that why Shane and Raven disappeared?"

Both brothers turned to the titans.

"This is our fault..." Lightning started off.

"We neglected our duty to making sure the sword was never found..." Thunder began to explain. "You see, long ago our ancestors maintained the balance of nature in their homelands in ancient times. but there sworn enemies, the demons misused the very gifts were given and wreaked havoc."

Lightning continued on. "They bravely fought against the sons of dragons, Kaminari and Inazuma. However, the demon's power over the elements were greater than their own. They knew that they were no match. So they aided brave samurai warrior in his efforts against their terrible foes."

Thunder continued the story. "Blessing his weapon in ancient lost magic, the samurai fought the demons and defeated them. The sword captured their souls, once it tasted their blood. Thus, sealing them into the blade for all eternity."

"Until now." Lightning said bitterly

Suddenly they spotted a gray fox, upon seeing her both Thunder and Lightning gasped upon seeing the canine. They both bowed in respect. "Furugitsune." The fox smiled before in a blink of an eye the canine turned into an old woman.

"It has been a while, Thunder and Lightning."

"You both know her?" Starfire inquired.

"Yes, she has been a friend to our family for a very long time." Thunder answered before she motioned the elemental siblings.

"Come closer." The old woman said and they did so. Immediately she pinched their ears and the titans winched a bit seeing this because of how painful it looked. "Don't think I know what you two have been up to. If the circumstances were different, I'd punish you both myself." She let go of the brothers ears. "We do have much more pressing matters on our hands."

"Um...excuse me?"

"Furugi-sana?" Robin mispronounced her name. "But do you know where our friends our?"

"Do not worry about your them. He and she walk a path of fates choosing. Much depends on their success."

"So can you just you bring us back?" Beast Boy questioned.

"I am sorry, but I cannot."

"Why?" Cyborg was the next to ask and he didn't like her answer.

"Because there are only two ways for them to return home. They must either complete their journey or the sword of storms breaks, freeing them."

"Freeing what?" The green changeling questioned still having a hard time understanding this.

"Two demons, the sons of the storm seek entrance to this world. They are Kaminari and Inazuma. Their spirits are already here. What's worse, there power is already growing, and the storms, they are nothing. Once they walk the Earth, the demons will awaken their brothers. The dragons and when they wake, the time of man will meet its end."

Terra leaned over to Beast Boy. "So...is this normal for you guys?" She asked in a whisper.

Back with the two they were now walking through a bamboo forest, which was thick with fog.

"So do you want to start or do you want me to?" Shane questioned.

"I prefer if you go first." Raven answered.

"Alright here it is, you see when I was younger, I was just a regular normal kid. But then one day, we had a visitor. A not so very nice visitor..." Shane tensed up gripping his jacket. "That was day when Malware entered my life..."

"Malware?" She glanced over to him. The way he said that name it was both full of fear and a slight amount of anger with distaste.

"The only word I can use to describe him, is well, a monster. When he got into my life, everything just went down. He was looking for the omnitrix, my parents were tasked with keeping this safe. But, somehow, he found out where it was. Naturally they fought back, and...they paid for it with their lives." Shane recalled that moment seeing the silhouettes of two people on the ground with the silhouette of a third being with red outlines being seen. Raven was shocked to hear this, all though she didn't say it, she was giving him her sympathies.

"I didn't know what to do, so took the omnitrix and ran, as fast my legs could carry me. After a big chase, Malware caught up with me. I thought it was all over, but then, the Plumbers came and rescued me."

They continued going forward, Raven using her powers to help make a faster path. "That's how you became involved with them?"

"Yes, I had to do a lot of things to prove my worth and keep the Omnitrix."

"What is Malware?"

"I learned that the creator of the Omnitrix Azmuth created a new sentient species by accident. The Galvanic Mechamorphs. There able to merge themselves with any form of technology. But Malware, Malware was different. He was incomplete."

"Incomplete?"

"I only know very vague details, on the story from what I was told." They pass by a collapsed Budda statue. "Azmuth promised to design an upgrade to cure his condition, but there a couple of problems. From the moment he was born, Malware was psychotic and hostile towards others around him. Overtime, Malware started to grow impatient, tiring of Azmuth's numerous delays and thinking that his creator secretly saw him as a failed experiment."

"Did he?"

"I don't know."

"Why did he kill your parents?"

"Because they helped interfere in Malware's plans to try and cure himself."

"Cure himself? How?"

"He traveled to Galvan Prime. The home world of the Galvan's some of the smartest beings in the universe. He demanded his cure and when Azmuth refused, Malware kidnapped his assistant, Albedo, and stole Azmuth's unfinished cure, a secondary Helix. Retreating to Galvan B, the mecha morphes home world, Malware forced Albedo to connect the secondary Helix to the primary Helix, which he used in hopes of curing himself. Albedo sabotaged the Helix in an attempt to destroy the Mechamorph, but the attempt only enhanced Malware's body, transforming him into an even more ferocious creature. Then he killed Albedo himself. You'd think that would've been satisfied, that after all those years he had what he wanted. No, he wanted more..." Shane glanced down to what was attached to him. "He wanted the Omnitrix."

"Why?"

"Because he believed that he would be even more powerful by taking the powers of Azmuth's greatest creation. If he did, then that would've bad news. Seeing the risk, Azmuth tasked my parents to keep it hidden. They were both top Plumbers, both had fought in a couple wars, and saved many planets on the brink of destruction, they were model examples of everything the organization stood for helping create peace throughout the universe." The omnitrix wielder scoffed. "Yeah, some good that did. They ended up losing their lives because of one mistake in the eyes of that monster."

"That's...I can't imagine." Raven was shocked to hear this, but figured there was more to this story as he most likely wasn't done.

"Even with the Plumbers protection, Malware relentlessly, perused me. Me and my old team squared off against him plenty of times. But then, Pierce was killed. After that, I just snapped, and didn't hold back, I used everything I had to fight Malware, until he wasn't moving anymore. I made sure of it. That's actually...the reason why I left the Plumbers in the first place. Because it just...brought back to many memories for me."

Raven hummed upon hearing his story giving it a lot of thought. One hand he probably had more to offer then he was letting on, but the fact that he trusted her this much to share one very hard secret that he keeps to himself, well. It says a lot. "I guess...that's something we have a little bit in common."

"What?"

"You remember what I told you about Azarath right?"

"Yeah, when we swapped bodies because of the Puppet King."

Raven held back the urge to gag as they stopped at a bridge. Only the bridge itself was out. "Uh...I'd rather not remember that part."

"Sorry. Continue." Raven then used her powers to help them both get across and continued on. "Yes, as I said I was born there. It was an alternate dimension where its residents were taught pacifism."

"So, wait you're a pacificist?

"No, although that was the intention, but because I was able to control and manipulate my emotions. I was mentored by the head monk, Azar. Even when she passed I continued studying."

"I do recall that, you said that your powers are tied to your emotions. Is it that bad?"

"It is...I have to mediate every day to keep my powers under control."

"But say if you were to have like, 'other feelings' would that be just as dangerous?"

"Possibly, but even then I'd have to be careful with them." Raven glanced over to Shane. "Why do you ask?"

"No reason, just curious is all. So...now that brings us to your status as a half demon...what's...the full story behind it?"

"..."

"Never mind, I should not asked you that." Shane said to her. "You don't have to."

"No..." Raven shook her head as they began to down a set of stairs where the fog still didn't fade out. "You told me your story, you should know mine. But don't tell the others."

"I won't...You have my word."

Raven began her tale. "My father is a demon...His name is Trigon, an inter-dimensional demon who seeks to take over the universe."

"Didn't expect it to go like that..." Shane commented in surprise. "And your mother was from Azarath right?"

"No, she wasn't. My mother was born in Gotham, she was young, and got attracted into the occult, and was tricked into becoming my father's bride." She paused for a brief moment and Shane knew this wasn't easy for her to share. Especially with a complicated background like hers. It was no wonder she choose not to say anything to the team. Much less other people, in general. "Afterwards he abandoned my mother. Even before she was depressed, was bent on suicide. Even when carrying me, but instead she was taken in by the pacifistic disciples of Temple Azarath, a group who had centuries earlier forsaken life on Earth to pursue their own nonviolent lifestyle. In that world, which I knew as my home I was born.

Even as a child, others feared me saying that I'd bring evil among them, one magistrate of Azarath, attempted to cast me into Limbo, only to be destroyed himself. Azar, the spiritual leader of the temple, and my mentor took me under her personal tutelage, reaching me everything I know, until she passed on."

"Sorry to hear that. What was she like?"

"Stern, but also kind and a had lot of wisdom to share." Raven smiled for a bit recalling the many lessons she was taught.

"So, what happened?" Shane paused as did she. "Why did you leave your home? Everything you knew behind to come to Earth in the first place?"

She turned to face him. "I'm, sorry...but...I have to stop there."

Shane nodded and he patted her shoulder and continued walking. "That's alright, the fact that you were at least to share and tell me something counts as something. No worries, if you ever want to finish. Just, let me know." He stopped turning around and held out a fist giving her a smile. "I got your back, and you have mine. Deal?"

Raven couldn't help but smile, even though she told him what she was he didn't reject her or think of her any different. Even though, she didn't reveal the full reason why she was on Earth. It was good to know that at least, there were those she could at least trust, and although a small handful being now only Shane. It meant something. So returning the smile she returned the gesture. "Deal."

The omnitrix wielder clapped his hands together. "Alright, with that done. What's say we try to get the H out of here? No pun intended by the way."

"Wouldn't be first time I heard that." The goth mage replied as

"First we ended up in a forest, got killed a bunch of times, then a valley full of water and now were in a cemetery. Yeah...can already see where this leads to."

"The fox said we had to continue going East."

"She didn't specify how long we'd have to travel for though."

"Don't' know, but do we really have any other choice?" She started walking while he sighed. "We pretty haven't had any since we arrived here." He before he followed behind her.

Back with the Titans they continued talking with Furugitsune.

"Your friends are in a land where neither of you can walk." She points a finger to the titans slowly bringing it over to Thunder and Lightning. "You all have your own challenges to face. There a dragon near this city, it has not fully awakened. You must not let him it join his demon brothers."

The siblings looked to one another and nodded. "We will go face this monster."

"Though our ancestors failed to stop the demons, we still must fight." Thunder added.

Robin nodded. "Alright, I'll make some calls. Starfire, Beast Boy, go with Thunder and Lightning." They both nodded before rushing out with the elemental siblings.

"In the meantime, can you tell us how to we can stop the dragons?"

"Uh...Robin...she's gone." Cyborg said much the boy wonders irritation and got started on making some calls. Cyborg turned over to Rook. "Think he gets fed up with Batman if every time he does that to him?"

"Who?"

Back with Shane and Raven the two continued to make their way through the graveyard which seemed to stretch on forever and if things weren't bad enough, the sun was setting in the distance meaning nightfall was almost upon them.

While continuing on the two titans stopped, they were hearing the sound of crying. This crying was very familiar as they heard it before, it was the spirit of the Daimyo's daughter.

"We cannot leave, until you come for me...Why do you stay away?"

"She will wait for eternity until the unfinished is settled." Shane and Raven turned to see Furugitsune in fox form sitting on a gravestone as they continuing watching the female spirit cry.

"Honestly I wish we could help her, but how can we?" Raven questioned. "The only way we possibly could is by dealing with the demons."

"Perhaps so." The fox said. "It won't be long now." Furugitsune looks over to the distance, the duo glanced over and saw without a doubt the spirit of the Daimyo himself. "All the actors here, the play will begin again. Take care of the sword. Only the sword carriers can break it." Shane glanced at the blade.

"Ok, no problem. Sword don't break, demons won't go free. So how do we get back?" Shane didn't get a response. "She's gone again, isn't she?"

"Yeah." Raven answered.

"Figures."

Back in alley way the possessed Professor Sakai threw in the last pieces he had onto the scroll. Taking a deep breath he exhaled making the statues stand up right.

At the same time a wind began to pick up in the cemetery.

"Raven, do you think that if we possibly find the ghosts lover then maybe we can get out of here?"

"Possibly, but we would still have the daimyo's spirit to deal with." The gothic mage deduced. "If what the fox said is true, then we might be getting close to him."

"I hope so." The Omnitrix wielder said. But then beneath them the ground began to shake, and something was starting to emerge from underneath them taking the two titans by surprise as they both jumped off with Raven helping them soften up there landing in the process.

As for what emerged from the ground it was a giant skeleton. Both Shane and Raven stared on surprised by this sudden new development. "Whoa..."

The skeleton raised up one of it's giant hands and brought it down, the duo ran for it, but the claw ended up touching the ground up in front of them. Taken by surprise, they ran the other way as it drug through the very earth itself. In the process Shane tackled Raven out of the way, managing to avoid crevasses created in the process.

As the two teens got back onto their feet, Raven's eyes widened a bit. "Shane..."

"Wha-?" He looked where she was and watched in shock and awe as multiple corpuses emerged from the crevasses left by the skeleton. Some of them also being yokai, like tengu's. Others were undead samurai warriors.

"And it can summon zombies too!? That's bull crap!" Shane passed Raven the katana as he activated the omnitrix and transformed into Heatblast. "Ok, no more fooling around!" The pyronite exclaimed quickly creating a fireball between his hands and threw it forward making it explode taking a few of the undead out. Despite that others were still coming.

"That's not good!"

"Run!" Raven shouted as Heatblast fired off a few streams to try and slow them down in the process. Both headed to a small bridge, but when they tried to cross there was a whole nother horde on the other side. Then from above a tengu tried to swoop down at them, only to get incinerated by Heatblasts breath.

Elsewhere outside of the city, Thunder and Lighting with the aid of Starfire and Beat Boy squared off against the dragon that hasn't fully awakened outside of the city. It didn't even look like a dragon at all though, it had a long snake like body and had multiple tentacles around its mouth area.

From the sky two elemental brothers combined both attacks hitting the beast making it cry out in pain as it retracted back into the water. When it did, Beast Boy who had taken the form of a whale bashed himself into it.

But it pissed off the behemoth instead trying to take a bit out of him, so the green changeling shifted into a baracuda speeding off and used the momentum to jump out of the water just as Starfire came by catching him in the process.

"That thing just won't go down!" Beast Boy exclaimed as he shifted into a hawk going back into the air.

"We can't give up, now." The alien girl said as she threw star bolts at their foe. "Our friends are counting on us!"

Back with Raven and Heat Blast, both hero's were doing their best to hold off against the hordes, but no matter what they did, they just kept on coming.

Both he and she were starting get overwhelmed, so with quick thinking, Heat Blast slapped the omnitrix symbol on his chest shifting aliens, becoming Humungosaur. The dinosaur like alien grew in size, gaining more plates of armor in the process. Using his immense size and strength to his advantage the transformed teen started to punch away any of the undead and even his tail, that he also used to bring Raven closer to him.

"I bet your all feeling those hits huh?" Humungosaur said as he continued pounding his foes away.

At the same time we see Sakai slam down one last piece. His trump card, showing a medium sized statue figure depicting a Japanese ogre. An Oni.

At the bridge as the fighting kept going a loud low bellowing noise was heard. Everyone stopped including the undead who backed away clearing a path. Seeing this, Humungosaur and Raven weren't liking this at all.

Heavy footsteps were heard and emerging from the mist was massive dark brown Oni covered in a few stripes wielding a large knife like weapon.

"So...you think you got this one?" Raven asked as the oni inhaled before roaring out loudly staring to step back and give room for this fight.

"I think so." Humungosaur replied returning back a roar of his own crossing out his arms as the Oni swung it's blade before punching the vaxasaurian away making him fly off the bridge skidding through the ground crashing through some gravestones.

As the Oni charged forward Humungosaur grabbed a tomb stone and threw it at the demon hitting it in the right eye leaving it bruised. "Ok, big guy lets go!" Both combatant's exchanged roars before charging at one another, the Oni swung it's blade onto Humungosaurs skin bouncing off of him before the vaxasaurian shoulder bashed himself into the Oni. Both of them began to exchange blow after relentlessly, Humungosaur spun around using his tail to knock the Oni off it's feet and proceeded to bring both fists together and slammed down onto the demons chest before kicking it away.

Meanwhile with Raven she was doing rather well, although she had never really used a sword to fight often, she was doing rather well. She studied up on a few books out of boredom and was glad that she remembered what she read. However, without Shane's help, she was getting outnumbered by the undead. She had to make sure the sword didn't get taken.

Raven had only but one choice but to throw the sword over to humungosaur so he could keep it safe. "Shane the sword!" She threw it over to him.

Humungosaur rushed forward, only to get tackled by the ogre preventing him from going any further. Both of them watched as the blade flew forward making contact with a single human looking statue breaking in half.

Hearing that noise shocked both titans to their cores as blood splattered onto the ground where the broken sword had landed. Not to mention the kanjis on the blade were glowing green.

Right then, everything around them changed, and the two found themselves in a courtyard at the museum itself with the statue standing there before them.

"Omni! Raven!" Both teens heard Robins voice, turning to look over and see their teammates run over to them.

"You both ok?"

"Uh...yeah. But, we got a problem." Humungosaur said bitterly.

"Where's the Sword of Storms?" The boy wonder asked, the vaxasaurian pointed over to where the broken sword was and the pool of blood.

"This is my fault...I shouldn't have done that..." Raven said putting both hands on her hand frustrated by the mistake she just made. "So, stupid!"

Humungosaur walked over to Raven just as he reverted back into Shane. "It wasn't your fault...we tried."

"But it wasn't enough..."

"Maybe not, but it's not game over yet." Shane said as they watched the possessed professor walk over to them placing one foot on the pool of blood. When he did, the man began to shake.

"Something tells me things are gonna get more crazy!" Cyborg exclaimed as he was freaked out by the sight before them.

"The demons have control of his body..." Raven explained. "They used him this whole time to make us break the sword. Now that it's done, they enter this world." Sakai's eyes glowed as gas started to emit from his body swirling up into the sky collecting themselves as electricity began to conduct from them, taking the forms of Kaminari and Inozuma themselves on some storm clouds.

After so many centuries of waiting, the demons were now free and with their host no longer useful, Sakai was released from their hold returning back to normal. The group rushed over to help him.

"Free!" Kaminari exclaimed as he and his brother cackled gleefully in joy as they brought there two weapons together. When they did, energy began to merge with they're very elements and the clouds themselves shooting up into the sky. A massive storm vortex began to swirl over the entire city itself. Making it start to rain in the process.

"Raven, take Sakai to cover!" Robin ordered, the mage nodded and took the director's unconscious body in order to find a safe place to put him. He, Robin, Cyborg Terra and Rook would take on the demons.

"Do you feel them?" Kaminari questioned Inozuma. "Our brothers are calling."

"Then we should wake them and bring an end to this puny world of men." A rock was sent flying hitting Inozuma in the chest curtosy of Terra.

"I don't think so!" The geo-kinetic exclaimed.

"You think your gonna wake up your pals, think again!" Cyborg exclaimed as he converted his arm into a cannon. The group prepared to fight, Robin getting into a fighting stance, Rook transforming his Proto-tool into a rifle while Shane was switching through transformation options on the omnitrix while Terra was warming up her powers.

"Because you got to go through the Teen Titans first!" The boy wonder exclaimed. Both demons jumped down from their clouds landing on the ground. They both laughed in amusement.

"We only feared one weapon..." Inozuma commented.

"And because of you and your friend, it was destroyed." Kaminari said. "That's what that stupid girl gets for interfering."

This instantly got Shane pissed off glaring at them. "What did you just say?" Shane wanted him to say that again as he found a perfect form that'd go well with fighting these two. Slamming down the core of the omnitrix, Shane transformed just at the demons both unleashed their attacks on the tians creating an explosion. Of course when the smoke cleared, they were unharmed, it was thanks to Gravattack generating a force to protect them.

"Titans, go!" Robin issued out the order and ran forward with Cyborg firing off his cannon while their leader threw a bird a rang doing their combo sending Inozuma flying.

Kaminari roared as he charged forward while Rook open fired, the lasers seemed to be doing very little effect as the large demon swung his hammer down to the ground. Thanks to his training, the newest member of the team dodged it.

Terra's eyes glowed as she started to hurl some rocks towards her opponent who merely swung his hammer smashing any incoming projectiles. But little did he know Gravattack used his gravity powers to hurl the shards all at once at the larger brother making him stumble back.

Over with Cyborg and Robin they were avoiding the electrical blast from Inozuma's spear, with the metal teen returning fire with his cannon, the skinnier demon blocked the incoming attacks, but not one of Robin's airborne kicks to the chest. Doing a backflip, he brought out one of his metal staffs and started to square off against Inozuma both block and intercepting each other's attacks. The skinner demon jumped avoiding one of Cyborgs punches hopping onto a cloud laughing as he blasted them again but got intercepted with Cyborg's cannon making an explosion.

Over with the others, Gravattack created a fore field blocking Kaminari's powered hammer that the demon infused with his power. Though the force field was holding, with each swing the demon did, the more it began to crack.

Rook jumped onto the force field and delivered a double kick to the demon's face before back flipped firing off a pod launcher that exploded in close blank range making the larger demon stumbled back but not before he slammed his hammer down sending an electrical wave towards them. From the side, Terra got to work with her powers creating a wall of mud and rock blocking the attack before making it swamp Kaminari. The demon struggled a bit before freeing himself but wasn't able to react to a big rock getting slammed into his face.

Seizing the moment, Gravattack used his gravity control to make the hammer go flying into a nearby building. As he was about to attack, the larger demon paused, he looked between the window where his hammer went and back at Terra who scoffed in annoyance. "Just go get it!" The blonde said in annoyance before Gravvattack came over punching the demon into the building.

"What did we talk about when speaking to bad guys?"

"Make it extremely short?"

"Make it extremely short." The transformed teen nodded before he got blasted by Inozuma who had managed to best Robin and Cyborg making him crash into the statue that shattered the sword. He went for another blast, but Rook intercepted the attack, turning his proto-tool into a bow firing off an arrow making it intercept the attack.

The Revonnahgander had his weapon shift into a tonfa as the skinnier demon got off his cloud, thrusting his spear forward. Rook swiftly rolled to went for the attack, only for Rook to gasp as the demon gripped his weapon smirking as he fried his multi purposed weapon sending the rookie of the team flying away.

At the same time Kaminari came bursting out of the building cheering in victory that he'd got back his hammer. Inozuma shook his head at his brothers antics. But what Inozuma didn't realize was that Gravattack got back onto his feet floating in planetoid form bashing himself into the demon causing him to drop his spear. Lifting up a hand he made the spear fly right into the owner himself who screamed out in pain.

Kaminari came over to his sibling and yanked the spear out of him. Although it was painful, he was fine and both demons put both of their weapons together creating a powerful unison attack.

Gravattack glanced over with Terra, she nodded as her eyes glowed, both of them raised up their hands, causing the earth to shoot up. A geyser of mud erupted they were using this to block the attack for a long as they could.

From the side lines, Raven had just finished healing her teammates. Rook on the other hand was frustrated, knowing that his weapon was useless. His fighting would now be limited.

"How supposed to beat these guys!?" Cyborg asked as he readjusted his cannon. "They just keep coming back up!"

"Cyborg is right, there both too strong for us to handle!" Rook added.

"Robin looked over to the magic specialist. "Raven, is there anything we can do!?"

The gothic mage was unsure how to respond but then glanced over at the pieces of the broken sword. "The sword...The sword is the only thing that can hurt them..."

"But the things broke!" Cyborg pointed out.

"Just because it freed them doesn't mean that it's magic hasn't worn off." Raven picked up the hand part holding a hand up against it. "Yes...It's still there!" Robin took hold of the broken blade, which reflected his face.

Over with the titans that were still fighting, Terra began to strain and exhaustion was hitting her. "I...I can't...hold on!" The geo kinetic said before the wall fell and she got hit with an electrical attack.

"Terra!" Then much to Gravattacks displeasure, he got hit as well, and went skidding across the ground. As he tried to get back onto his feet, the familiar beeping of the omnitrix began to go off much to the transformed teens dismay. "No! Not now!" It was to late, he reverted back into human form. "Dammit, why now!?"

Inozuma laughed as he and his brother approached the hero. "Your powers that are not of this world are impressive..."

"But not enough to defeat the likes of us." Both demons stood over him. "We will finish what we started long ago!" Kaminari said lifting up his hammer.

"So prepare to die!" Inozuma raised up his spear joining his brother for the final strike that'd end it. Just as the two demons were gonna strike down Shane, who prepared for his eventual end both of them ended up getting birdarangs thrown to their faces. Each one exploding on impact making them cry out in pain.

"Omni!" Shane looked over to see Robin rushing over towards them holding the two broken pieces of the sword. All things slowed down as he threw the handle of the blade over towards him. Mustering up everything he had left, Shane got up and caught it before thrusting the broken blade into the chest of Inaguma while Robin stabbed the front of the blade into Kaminari's back.

When the blades embedded into the demons they both gave off shrieks of agony, and both were absorbed into the separate fragments of the sword. Both hero's finally collapsed, exhaustion finally caught up to them. Up above, the storm spiral began to disperse letting the sun out.

At the same time, with Thunder, Lightning, Star Fire and Beast Boys battle with the dragon. They were now on the run, trying to avoid getting eaten by the monster. As they prepared to continue fighting, they watched in surprise.

Electricity began to coat the dragon and suddenly it was forcefully dragged to the bottom of the ocean going back into the crevice where it had emerged.

Seeing this, Beast Boy cheered jumping out in the air happily before pausing. "So, wait did we just win?"

"Indeed so." Thunder confirmed.

"That must mean your friends have returned and won their battle." Lightning said putting an arm around his brothers shoulder, making Starfire smile.

"Ok...I guess, all's well that ends well." Shane said as the group.

"Not quite..." Raven said confusing them and from behind Terra's shadow began to take a different shape.

"What are you? Whoa!" The shadow took form of the daimyo's daughter, the spirit took hold of Terra's body and began to walk.

"What's happening?" Robin asked in awe but was worried for their teammate.

"The play has begun." Raven said referring to Furugitsune had told them back at the cemetery. They watched Terra continue to walk. "The samurai defeated the demons, but he never returned to the daimyo's daughter."

Shane's eyes widened in realization now understanding. "He wasn't there to save her...That's why her spirit hasn't passed on yet." Terra got onto her knee's still possessed by the daughter's spirit. From behind, Cyborg was possessed by the daimyo's spirit who got up in front of, where you could see a blade that had been drawn. But suddenly the girls spirit left terra and walked past her father.

"My love!" Confused by this, everyone turned to see the spirit of the samurai himself. The statue had been what been holding his spirit the whole time! Both ghosts rushed over to each other. The daughter was so happy to see her beloved the same for the samurai. After so many years being apart, the two lovers were finally back together and in each other's embrace.

However, the daimyo was still displeased getting in between the two with his daughter kneeling down as he raised up his sword ready to do whatever it was to restore his disgraced honor. His child kneeling down to accept her fate.

"Stop it..." The daimyo looked over to Shane. "Even after everything that happened, you still don't get it. Holding onto that grudge is what lead you here in the first place. You have to forgive them, what happened, happened. If you do this, we'll just end up doing this all over again. In the end, there's nothing to be gained from this, neither side wins. She's your daughter, let her finally be at peace so you can be as well, is all this playing over and over again what you want for her?"

The daimyo paused hearing the young mans words, he looked back to his daughter and into her eyes. Even though everything he was taught was telling to do what must be done, the part that loved his daughter, the heart of a caring father overruled those traditions. Closing his eyes, the daimyo sheathed his sword turning around to the samurai bowing his head before stepping back letting the two finally be together. When he did, the daimyo's spirit faded out showing he'd passed on.

The two spirits of the lovers grasped each other's hands. Afterwards the samurai and the daughter looked back to Shane both showing appreciation for finally putting them to rest as they two faded away into the wind.

With all of that being done, everyone began to leave the site. As they were going, Raven caught up with Shane.

"So you think if we ever do go to Japan next time in modern times, we'll luck out?" The omnitrix wielder questioned.

"I hope so." The goth girl replied before they stopped feeling a set of eyes on them. By one of the buildings, they turned around and saw Furugitsune in human form winking at them.

Naturally both titans were confused, the mystical entity smiled before walking past a pillar taking the form of the fox that had been guiding them this whole time. Both were surprised by this twist and watched as the fox walked away, disappearing like she was never even there.

"On second thought, maybe not." Raven second guessed Shane chuckled at that comment as they ran to catch up with the rest of their team. While the journey might've have been perilous and dangerous, it also deepened their bond, increasing their trust in one another.

Now they know fully, without a doubt they could rely on one another. Even though both of them continuing hiding their own personal secrets, But could this progress onto something more? Who knows, time will only tell for them.

To be continued

Now replying back to reviewers

Von The Unstopable: Oh I'm sure there's a possibility, but we'll just have to see.

Karsap: 1. Ultimate Forms, been thinking about it. 2: Ah, a good classic episode. Honestly, haven't really thought on that to far ahead just yet.

shriramasokan: I don't know (shrug) I lost count.

AlphaGodzilla19: Oh, most definitely later on.

OwlWarrior: Happy to see you enjoying the story, but sorry no, I like Black Panther, but not enough to do a story on the hero. Also do appreciate the kind words.

SoulW1ther: Actually, I updated that thing on April 20th, and another chapter is still in the works.

Raidentensho: Bingo!

Guest#1: Ah, I know what your talking about, I went and fixed that issue. If I didn't let me know, because sometimes mistakes do happen. No one's perfect though, I just appreciate others not being an ass or d bag about it.

TheBeatles211: Oh yeah, I remember seeing that episode so many times growing up, Teen Titans was a big part of my childhood and as you can see, I still love it very much. And yes, you guessed right, sorry if they didn't get those forms like you suggested, but alls well that ends well I guess. Hope you liked it.

Catgirl Hamato: Happy to see you enjoying them.

Guest#2: Well, to each's own.

Guest#3: Ester and Charmcaster? Eh, I don't know but adding in Charmcaster has been on the back of my mind. Just haven't thought of when to include her.

kashriramji: Oh yeah? Well, you're not the one to tell me when and not to do it. I'm writing this, you are not.
