A short chapter. Sorry.
Previously
Harry Potter vanished from wizarding world and took up the mantle of Hadrian Peverell while at the same time working for ICW with the pseudonym of James Bond. Now he has returned and Hadrian Peverell has taken up mantle of Head of Invisibility Task Force while James Bond (Peverell's alter ego) has also been sighted back in Britain. Meanwhile Dark Lord is wreaking havoc and Order of Phoenix is looking for new recruits - cue in James Bond and Hadrian Peverell. James and Lily are well and alive while Nathaniel Potter, Harry's twin is working for the Aurror Department. Also, Daphne knows she is engaged to Harry Potter but for the rest of the world Harry Potter is still missing and Hadrian Peverell uses a disguise to prevent anyone from finding out. Also, the secret is under a Fidelius so only he can tell people that he is Harry Potter.
Yup, as confusing as it gets.
Bond, James Bond.
"Bond, nice of you to show up," said Croaker as he walked in.
Harry now disguised as James Bond was lounging in the chair and enjoying a Vodka Martini.
"Should I even ask how you got in, James?" asked Croaker as he sat down opposite to Harry.
"Ask away, C. Ask away," a smug look coloured his Facade. Harry enjoyed playing James much more than he liked playing Peverell.
"Never mind that. What brings you here?"
"Felix, of course. MACUSA is getting impatient," Harry replied.
"That sounds like a load of dung. We already know Felix isn't here," Croaked grinned.
"Perhaps, but that's the official story," said Harry.
Croaker sighed. "And, I suppose you didn't have anything to do with Nott Manor?"
"Now that would be telling," Harry smirked. That was a late-night mission he was on.
"Oh you did. Now, DMLE is calling in Unspeakables because they can't make heads and tails of what went in there. Not to mention what Notts did in their free time. It is a whole mess and you are the one responsible."
"Sounds like a problem for you, C."
"Nope. If you wanna stay in the country you better clean up your own mess. They have asked for an expert an I am looking at one, Bond."
Harry blinked and then he shrugged.
"Also, when did you get sloppy?" asked Croaker.
"I am not sloppy," Harry rolled his eyes.
"Oh yeah? There was a survivor. The Nott Heir?"
That made Harry pause. "A survivor? He might not have been in the house then," Harry wondered. He was quite sure he had killed both Nott heir and his father. He didn't mention that to Croaker. If that were true then probably someone else might have been in the house. They both had the Dark Mark so it wasn't something to cry over.
"Yes, now please take of this mess. On that note, I am hearing things are going bad in the Muggle world? What's happening?"
Harry stared at Croaker. It wasn't often Croaker asked about Muggle world. "There is some serious chatter we are picking from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Saudi. We are not really sure what is it about. Mi6 is on high alert so is CIA but intel sharing has been a thing of past since the cold war ended. Something big is coming."
"Any wizarding involvement?"
"Doesn't look like. But then again, these countries are not completely part of ICW so we can't be sure but doesn't look like that yet."
Croaker nodded before pulling out a file and placing in front of Harry.
Harry raised an eyebrow.
"I hear you are getting married, Bond?" Croaker commented lightly.
"Of course, you did. And that is Greengrass' file I assume?"
"Bingo!"
"Don't really need it," said Harry. Croaker was one of the very few individuals who knew about Hadrian Peverell being James Bond. There were less than a handful of them but Croaker was one of them. It ticked Harry a bit but Croaker still didn't know about him being Harry Potter which was good.
"Well, she is going to be the Liason for you while you are here. So, you might as well."
"Absolutely not," said Harry.
"Non-negotiable. You still need my permission to operate here. Consider it an early wedding gift."
Harry just glared at Croaker.
"Give me the gist," Harry sighed. "Might as well."
"Well, she is one of the few field operatives we have so her identity isn't a state secret," said Croaker. "She is a Level Five Operative and she scored highest in her class at Hogwarts. And, she is really good in combat and an excellent marksman. Oh, she is also our profiler," Croaker added.
"A profiler? You gotta be kidding me." Harry would have to extra careful if he was working with a psychological profiler. They were really bad for hiding secret identities. He poured himself another glass of Vodka.
"You do realise you are needed in the field today? Alcohol isn't recommended."
"Uh-huh," Harry downed the entire shot. Alcoholism was something he really embraced when he was being Bond. It had become a part of his identity and moving away from it might not be the wisest move.
A/N
A short chapter I know but writing Bond is really difficult and I don't think I am doing a very good job but I am going to stick with it. This was something I had written previously just edited it a bit. The next chapter is gonna be bigger.
Also moving away from POV's to narration.
A very small discord for anyone interested:
