~~Hello readers, I'm back with a new chapter.

I don't own anything from Digimon.

Only my original characters belong to me.~~

It was now early afternoon on Infinity Mountain.

My friends and I had just rescued a unicorn-like Digimon called Unimon from a black gear.

We were walking aimlessly around the island while trying to find somewhere else to go.

"Does anybody know where we're supposed to go?" I asked curiously.

"I have no idea," answered Ariel.

I looked over at Tai who was drawing a map.

"You must be the doodle of doodles," Matt commented.

"That map looks really sloppy," Ariel pointed out.

"Don't be rude," I responded with a glare.

"Nobody will be able to read it," said Izzy.

"It will be fine as long as I can read it," Tai replied.

"Your map will only lead us to a headache," complained Sora.

"We don't need a map to know that we're lost," Joe added.

"I don't think these gloves go with this dress," Mimi chimed in.

Ariel gave Mimi a dirty look.

"That girl never shuts up about her looks. Its so annoying," she whispered in my ear.

"I know right? Don't let her hear you," I whispered back.

In the midst of our conversation, a muscular lion-man Digimon charged toward us ready to attack.

"Who is that Digimon?" asked Sora.

"You guys don't have to worry, it's just Leomon. He's one of our friends," assured Biyomon.

"Leomon doesn't look very friendly to me. That creature looks like he wants to eat one of us," I said with a worried look.

"He looks possessed," Wizardmon pointed out.

"A black gear probably entered his body," responded Matt.

"We should save ourselves and hide," Ariel advised.

"I agree with my partner," replied Hawkmon.

My Tentomon stared up at Leomon with a horrified expression.

His body started to tremble in my arms.

"What's wrong DigiDearest?" I asked quietly.

"Sioku, Leomon is a champion level Digimon. Mira made me fight Digimon like that when I was her partner," he answered fearfully.

I gently placed a hand over my Tentomon in an attempt to sooth him.

"Calm down DigiDearest, I'll get you away from him. Don't panic," I said softly.

Wizardmon followed me as I moved to an area far away from the others.

I leaned against a tall tree while still holding my Tentomon close to me.

Wizardmon stood by my side.

"Hey Sioku, is everything all right?" asked the humanoid Digimon.

"No sir, my Tentomon is afraid of Leomon. He almost freaked out," I whispered.

"You made a good choice to move somewhere else" Wizardmon whispered back.

My Tentomon lay still with his eyes closed.

"Sioku, your Digimon looks terrified. We've got to distract him," whispered Wizardmon.

"I have an idea," I whispered back.

"Hey, Tentomon, please stay with me. Can you tell me about Leomon?" I said smoothly.

My Tentomon looked up at me and took a deep breath.

"Leomon is an animal Digimon. It is called the king of beasts, as well as the noble hero. While most are ferocious, Leomon possesses a strong will and a heart of justice, and has defeated a great number of fiendish Digimon. Also, it is a rival to the Digimon hunter Ogremon who runs the whole gamut of destruction. Its tough flesh, tempered well by daily training, can endure any attack. Since it chokes the life out of the opponents with its quick attacks, Leomon is said to be an outstanding combat species. It carries a sentient magical sword called Beast Sword on its waist," he explained.

"Nice work DigiDearist," I praised.

My Tentomon closed its eyes and started to relax.

Wizardmon silently watched over my Digimon.

In a separate area, Leomon bared its fangs at the rest of my friends in a threatening manner.

They started to back away from him in fear.

"Your friend has big teeth," T.K. said timidly to Patamon.

Patamon nodded its head in agreement.

"Let's get out of here!" shouted Ariel.

Everyone else and their Digimon agreed and gathered around her.

Before they could run away, Ariel scanned the area worriedly.

"Has anyone seen Sioku?" she asked.

"She was here with us a minute ago," answered Tai.

"Wizardmon isn't here either," Agumon pointed out.

Where could Sioku have gone?" asked Mimi.

"I don't know, but we've got to go find her. Sioku shouldn't be alone with Leomon on the loose," answered Izzy frantically.

"Good point Izzy," said T.K.

"Hawkmon and I will go search for Sioku. The rest of you should stay and fight Leomon," replied Ariel calmly.

"That's a good idea," added Sora.

Ariel and Hawkmon separated from the group and began searching the mountain for me.

They searched behind large boulders and near the lake but couldn't find me.

"Where could Sioku and her Digimon companions be?" asked Hawkmon.

"I'm not sure Hawkmon, but Sioku shouldn't have run off without saying anything. She knows better," Ariel answered roughly.

Leomon roared loudly in the direction of the seven other kids and their Digimon.

"I want all of the children," he demanded.

"What does that crazy Digimon want with us?" asked T.K. fearfully.

"Everybody run!" hollered Joe.

Tai led the group as they bolted in the opposite direction.

One by one, six of the Digimon began to Digi-evolve.

"Agumon Digi-evolve to... Greymon!"

"Gabumon Digi-evolve to... Garurumon!"

"Tentomon Digi-evolve to... Cabutarimon!"

"Palmon Digi-evolve to... Togemon!"

"Biyomon Digi-evolve to... Birdramon!"

"Gomamon Digi-evolve to... Ikakumon!"

T.K. clung to Patamon as he hid behind his brother.

The six champion Digimon charged at Leomon from all directions and aimed their attacks at the black gear.

"Nova blast!" shouted Greymon.

"Howling blaster!" shouted Garurumon.

"Electro shocker!" shouted Cabutarimon from above.

"Needle spray!" shouted Togemon.

"Meteor wing!" shouted Birdramon.

"Harpoon Torpedo!" shouted Ikakumon.

Leomon used its sword to dodge their attacks and jumped out of the way.

"Smashing kick!" the lion-man called out as he struck Greymon with his foot.

Greymon stumbled backward in pain.

"Greymon... no!" cried Tai.

"Are you okay Greymon?" asked Garurumon.

Greymon stood up and shook off.

"You don't have to worry about me," he assured.

"Lion sword!" shouted Leomon as he slashed Garurumon's back with his blade.

Everyone gasped in terror at the sight.

"Garurumon!" cried Matt.

The wounded wolf winced as he moved aside.

Joe rushed to Garurumon's side and immediately applied pressure to his wounds.

Matt and T.K. came over to help him.

"Are you okay Garurumon?" asked Matt.

"No, I cannot fight in this condition. My body is too weak," the wolf answered.

"That's all right Garurumon, you just need to rest. Our team still has more fighters," assured T.K.

Garurumon laid down while panting heavily.

"You're going to be okay Garurumon," Joe reassured.

The exhausted wolf closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Leomon used the kids' distraction as a chance to flea and started running away from them.

"We can't let him get away!" hollered Tai.

"Right," the others responded in unison.

"I'll go and fight along side the other Digimon," offered Ikakumon.

"I'm sure they would appreciate that," Joe responded.

Everybody except Joe, Matt, T.k., Garurumon, and Patamon chased after Leomon as he fled.

Leomon was headed straight for my location, but nobody knew where my Digimon and I ran off to.

"Where is Leomon going?" asked Sora.

"I don't know, but we can't let him find Sioku and Ariel. the four of us and our Digimon can fight Leomon on our own and keep those girls safe," answered Tai.

The remaining kids and Digimon chased Leomon through a field of grass.

In the midst of all the chaos, Ariel continued her search near the trees.

"Sioku!" Ariel called out.

I turned my head in the direction of her voice.

"Over here!" I called back.

Ariel sprinted toward me with Hawkmon flying after her.

"Thank goodness we found you," Hawkmon said breathlessly.

I let out a dreamy sigh at the sound of Hawkmon's voice.

"Hi Ariel, what's going on?" I asked with a confused expression.

"You look worried," Wizardmon pointed out.

"Sioku, why did you and your Digimon break away from the group? Leomon is running wild and coming after all of us," the blond haired girl responded with a deeply concerned expression.

A feeling of guilt instantly washed over me.

"I'm sorry Ariel, but my Tentomon freaked out when he saw Leomon. He can't face champion level Digimon right now," I answered smoothly.

"Stupid Mira," Ariel muttered.

"We apologize for being silent," Wizardmon said remorsefully.

"That doesn't matter," Ariel replied plainly.

Ariel grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to her.

I was surprised by her gesture but didn't question it.

"Sioku, we have to go right now. Leomon wants you too," she said frantically.

"Why? Did he figure out that I have a special power?" I wondered.

"I don't know, but we've got to hurry!" she hollered.

My Tentomon lifted himself into the air in response to the commotion.

"Sioku, what's happening?" he asked in a panicked voice.

Before I could answer my Tentomon's question, the four of us heard a blaring roar from behind.

Ariel and I jumped in fear.

"Oh no... it's Leomon!" shrieked Tentomon.

"Stay close DigiDearest," I urged.

Tentomon landed on my shoulder and remained still.

"Don't worry Sioku, I'll distract Leomon. You and Ariel need to leave immediately," said Wizardmon.

I was amazed by his courage and bravery.

"Please take care of yourself," I replied.

"Thank you Wizardmon," Ariel added.

Without a warning, Ariel dragged me across the field and out of Leomon's sight.

Our Digimon immediately flew after us.

We hid in a cluster of trees behind a large rock.

My Tentomon took a deep breath of relief.

"You and I should be safe here for now," said Ariel.

"I hope so," I replied with a sigh.

Ariel and I watched the fight from a distance.

"Thunder bomb!" Wizardmon called out as he dropped a bomb of electricity onto Leomon's back.

Leomon was shocked violently and crashed to the ground with a hard thud.

"Blink breeze!" shouted Wizardmon as he struck Leomon with a powerful blast of wind.

The wind's force pushed Leomon against a boulder.

Tai heard the commotion and quickly led the other kids to Leomon's location.

They spotted Leomon laying on the ground with Wizardmon standing near him.

"Wizardmon is over here fighting Leomon all by himself," said Mimi.

"He's not alone anymore," replied Togemon.

"Let's take Leomon down," added Birdramon.

Leomon's weakened state gave all six champion form Digimon the perfect opportunity to finally destroy the black gear embedded in its body.

The Digimon came rushing toward Leomon ready to attack.

They surrounded Leomon and fired their attacks at him once more.

"Nova blast!" hollered Greymon.

"Electro shocker!" hollered Cabutarimon.

"Needle spray!" hollered Togemon.

"Meteor Wing!" hollered Birdramon.

"Harpoon torpedo!" Hollered Ikakumon.

Leomon seemed unfazed and fiercely rose to its feet.

"I've had enough of this nonsense! Shock wave!" shouted the lion-man as he unleashed a blast of energy from his hand.

Both the Digimon and their partners were violently knocked to the floor.

All five of the remaining champion Digimon reverted back to their rookie forms.

Leomon fled the area once again.

Complete silence filled the space.

Back by the cluster of trees, Ariel and I stepped out from behind the large rock.

"The fight must be over," said Ariel.

"Leomon knocked a bunch of our friends out before he took off," I replied.

"Let's go make sure they're okay," suggested Hawkmon.

"I agree," responded my Tentomon.

"Lead the way you two," I urged.

Ariel and I followed our Digimon toward that same field.

At the field, Tai's group lay exhausted on the floor.

Tai groaned as he carefully pulled himself up into a sitting position.

"Is everybody all right?" he asked.

"I'm okay," answered Sora.

"Same here," added Izzy.

"Our Digimon look totally exhausted," said Mimi.

"We should go rejoin Matt," Agumon suggested.

"Yeah, I'm concerned about Garurumon," replied Palmon.

"Hopefully we can get to them before Leomon attacks again," continued Izzy's Tentomon.

Tai, Izzy, Sora, and Mimi stood up and carried their tired Digimon back to the spot where the others had been waiting.

Wizardmon flew along side them.

They reunited with Matt, T.K., Joe, Patamon, and Garurumon by the single tree.

"We're back, but Leomon got away from us again. None of our Digimon can fight anymore," said Tai.

"I'm glad you all are okay," replied Joe.

"How is Garurumon doing?" asked Sora.

"Garurumon is sleeping, but he is in a lot of pain. Leomon's sword did a number on him," answered Matt sadly.

Everyone stared sadly at their injured friend.

"May I please check him out?" a soft male voice chimed in from behind them.

The kids turned around to see Wizardmon landing on the ground beside Matt.

"We could use your help," Matt answered.

"Our healer is here!" exclaimed T.K.

"That's a relief," responded Mimi.

"What happened to Garurumon?" asked Wizardmon.

"He got badly injured by Leomon," answered Joe.

Wizardmon pointed his staff at the sleeping Garurumon.

"Magic heal," he said softly.

An orb of magic healing energy surrounded Garurumon.

Garurumon's wounds began to fade away almost instantly.

A relieved smile appeared on Matt's face as he stared at his partner's restored body.

"Garurumon is already looking great. Thank you Wizardmon," the older boy said sincerely.

"You're most welcome," Wizardmon replied.

The wolf Digimon woke up and opened his eyes.

"Hey Garurumon, how are you feeling?" asked Mat as he rubbed his companion's head.

"Very tired," Garurumon answered weakly.

Garurumon then reverted back to his rookie form.

A long period of silence passed by.

"Hey guys, is the coast clear enough for us to go look for Sioku and Ariel?" asked Izzy.

"I think so," answered Tai.

Biyomon scanned the surrounding area.

"I don't see Leomon anywhere," she said.

"That's a good sign," replied Agumon.

T.K. paused as he saw two figures moving toward them.

"What's up little bro?" asked Matt.

"We don't have to look for Sioku and Ariel after all. Their Digimon are headed this way," the youngest boy answered.

"We can stay here so they won't have to look for us," said Izzy.

The kids, their Digimon, and Wizardmon waited patiently for Ariel and me to return.

On the way back to our friends, Ariel and I followed our Digimon's lead.

Hawkmon flapped his wings in excitement.

"Ariel! Sioku! I see all of our friends!" he cheered.

"Nice work Hawkmon," praised Ariel.

All of our friends were thrilled to see Ariel and me as soon as we arrived at their spot by the tall tree.

"hello everybody," I greeted with a bright smile.

"Hi Sioku," replied Tai.

"I'm glad to know that you guys are okay," added Izzy.

Are any of you hurt?" asked Ariel.

"No, but Garurumon got badly hurt by Leomon before you two showed up. Wizardmon has already healed Garurumon's injuries," answered Sora.

"I'm so glad that Wizardmon was there to help him," I said sincerely.

"He's a joy to have around," replied Mimi.

In the midst of our conversation, a booming roar suddenly echoed throughout the entire space which startled all of us at once.

The Digimon hid beside their partners.

"What in the DigiWorld was that?" hollered Tai.

"Is it Leomon? Most of us aren't able to fight anymore because of his last attack," pleaded Gomamon.

Much to everyone's horror, Leomon crept toward us with fighting intent.

He let out a low vicious growl.

My friends and I froze in place not knowing what to expect.

"You are finally all together, chosen children. Come with me quietly or there will be trouble," the lion-man demanded menacingly.

Without thinking, Ariel moved closer to Leomon and glared at him.

"Listen up cat, none of my friends are going anywhere with you. You'll have to deal with me," she replied protectively.

The whole group fell silent at that.

"You can't stop me by yourself," Leomon bragged.

"Just watch me," Ariel said confidently.

"Ariel, fighting Leomon is not a good idea. He's tougher than you think," I warned.

Ariel ignored my warning and pointed to her Digimon.

"Hawkmon, go get him!" she commanded.

"Right away mis," Hawkmon said as he hovered between his tamer and Leomon.

I bowed my head in defeat and sighed.

"Please be careful," I thought with a pleading look.

"Do you seriously think your rookie level feathered friend could stop me?" Leomon asked Ariel.

"Of course I do, Hawkmon is one of my best friends. I believe in him," Ariel answered.

"So do I," I added with an encouraging smile.

Hawkmon bravely stared into Leomon's eyes.

"Feather strike!" the bird called out as he flung his feather at Leomon's face.

The feather hit Leomon and then returned to Hawkmon.

"Your attack was pitiful just like you. You'll never be able to defeat me," Leomon said with a smirk.

Ariel shook her head at Leomon in disgust.

"I'm just getting started," Hawkmon shot back.

"Shock wave!" shouted Leomon as he released a second blast of energy.

The energy blast came out with less power since Leomon's body had already been weakened from his last fight.

Hawkmon opened up his wings in order to protect himself.

The energy bounced off of Hawkmon's feathers and was deflected back at Leomon.

"Great move Hawkmon," I praised joyfully.

"Pecking beak!" the bird called out as he repeatedly pecked at Leomon's back.

Leomon roughly shook Hawkmon away and pulled out his sword.

"Hawkmon... look out!" hollered Ariel fearfully.

Before Hawkmon could try to fly away, Leomon slammed his blade down on the bird's back.

"Lion sword!" the lion-man yelled.

Hawkmon descended quickly and crashed to the ground with a hard thud.

Everyone watched the scene in horror.

"I knew that little bird couldn't stand a chance against me," Leomon boasted proudly.

"Hawkmon! No!" cried Ariel sadly.

My face also saddened as I watched the bird fall.

All of my other friends stood still wearing stunned expressions.

Hawkmon attempted to lift himself into the air, but he couldn't move.

Ariel knelt down on the floor beside her Digimon.

"Please stay where you are," she urged.

"I'm sorry for letting you down," Hawkmon whispered.

"It's okay Hawkmon, I'll take you to one of our healers. Please stay with me," she said while gently lifting the bird into her arms.

Hawkmon closed his eyes and slipped into the dark void of unconsciousness.

"Hawkmon? Hawkmon!" Ariel called out.

The bird lay motionless in her arms.

Many fearful thoughts raced through Ariel's mind as she held the Digimon close to her chest.

Ariel stood up and carried her Digimon back to the group.

"Is Hawkmon going to be okay?" asked Tai.

"I hope so," answered Sora.

"I just saw Ariel carry him away from Leomon. Hawkmon looks beaten up," added Agumon.

"That wound on his back looks terrible," continued Mimi.

Sioku, please stay here and help Ariel take care of Hawkmon. I'll go and take Leomon down," Wizardmon said urgently.

"Okay Wizardmon, but don't let your guard down around Leomon. That Digimon is very powerful," I replied worriedly.

"I'll be just fine," Wizardmon assured before he flew away.

I rushed to Ariel's side with my Tentomon flying flying beside me.

A wave of emotion washed over me as I caught sight of Hawkmon's wound.

Hawkmon definitely looked like he needed to be restored by my power.

"Hey Ariel, how is Hawkmon doing?" I asked smoothly.

"My Digimon doesn't look so good. He just lost consciousness," the girl answered.

"Wizardmon is about to fight Leomon right now. May I try to heal Hawkmon until he comes back?" I continued.

"My Digimon needs all the help he could get," Ariel added.

I carefully placed my hand over Hawkmon's back.

My hand started to glow brightly with magic energy.

I stared down at Hawkmon as I let my healing power sink into him.

The other kids and their Digimon crowded around us as they saw the light.

"Where is that bright light coming from?" asked Sora.

"Sioku must be healing Hawkmon," said Tai.

"It sure looks that way," replied Joe.

"That light is really pretty," commented Mimi.

"It looks like sunlight," responded Palmon.

Everyone watched silently as the wound on Hawkmon's back shrank and then disappeared.

I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that Hawkmon had been saved.

"My Digimon looks great Sioku, thank you very much for saving his life. Now we just have to wait for him to wake up," Ariel said sincerely.

"You're welcome, Hawkmon is a good friend to me too. I'm glad I saved him for both of us," I replied softly.

The kids looked at the healed spot on Hawkmon's body in awe and smiled.

"Wow, Sioku did a great job. Hawkmon looks like he never got injured," said Tai.

"Yeah, I totally agree with you Tai. This reminds me of when she healed Sedramon back on the beach," replied T.K.

Although Hawkmon's body was fully healed, he didn't wake up right away.

I sat down on the ground to rest and regain my energy.

A cool breeze brushed against my face.

"Are you okay Sioku?" asked Ariel.

"Yes, I'm just tired from using my power. I'll feel better soon," I answered with a yawn.

A long period of silence passed between us as we watched Wizardmon's fight with Leomon.

"Thunder cloud!" yelled Wizardmon as he struck Leomon in the shoulder with a lightning bolt.

Leomon fell backward onto the ground.

Before the lion-man could get up, a sudden avalanche caused him to fall off the side of a nearby cliff.

My friends and I heard the noise and rushed toward Wizardmon.

Leomon was nowhere to be seen when we arrived.

"Is everything all right over here?" asked Matt.

"Where is Leomon?" added Agumon.

"I'm okay, but Leomon just fell off of a cliff. I don't know where he could've landed," answered Wizardmon.

"Wizardmon, are you saying that Leomon vanished without a trace?" asked Mimi.

"Yes, I hope I didn't make him fall. My intention wasn't to hurt him," the humanoid Digimon answered sadly.

"I'm sure it's not your fault," assured Izzy.

"What caused the avalanche?" continued Tai.

"That could've been the work of another Digimon," said Sora.

"Anyway, we should stop somewhere and rest. The Digimon are exhausted," replied Mimi.

"I agree, but where can we go?" I chimed in.

"I don't want to sleep on the ground," said Joe.

"Who could blame him?" replied Ariel.

My friends and I started to explore more areas of the mountain when Matt spotted a huge building up ahead.

"Look everybody, it's a mansion!" cheered Matt.

Everybody else cheered in excitement at his discovery.

My friends and I stood in a line in front of the door.

"This looks too good to be true!" exclaimed Tai.

"Tai, was this mansion on your map?" asked Agumon.

"No, I didn't see it when we first came here. This mansion is new to me," Tai answered.

"How could a mansion randomly appear somewhere?" I asked dumbfounded.

"That doesn't make sense," Ariel chimed in.

"We should rest in there tonight," suggested Matt.

"I agree," responded Mimi.

"Hold on guys, how would we know that this isn't a trap?" wondered Sora.

"My partner has a good point," said Biyomon.

A brief moment of silence passed by as my friends and I tried to make a decision.

"What are we going to do?" asked Ariel.

"We'll go in and stay for the night," answered Joe.

""That idea sounds good," approved Tai.

In the midst of our conversation, Hawkmon slowly woke up and opened his eyes.

A smile of relief mixed with joy formed on Ariel's face as she stared down at her Digimon.

"Oh Hawkmon, I'm so glad you're awake. I was really worried about you," she said softly.

"Ariel, are you all okay? Where are we?" the bird replied as he looked around.

"Don't worry Hawkmon, everyone is all right. Matt just led us to a mansion," Ariel answered.

My ears perked up at the sound of Hawkmon's voice.

I happily rushed over to Ariel's side.

"Hawkmon! I am so glad to see you looking well again," I said while ruffling his feathers.

The bird stared at me confused.

"Settle down Sioku, Hawkmon just woke up. Give him some space," replied Ariel protectively.

I turned away with a look of guilt.

"Oops... I just got too excited. I'm really sorry," I said remorsefully.

"It's okay Sioku, I understand that you were worried about him too. I shouldn't have over reacted," Ariel replied calmly.

Ariel and I shifted our attention back to the main conversation.

"We might as well check the place out," said Izzy.

"I'm curious about the interior," I replied.

"Let's go inside now," urged Agumon.

"We should knock first," Izzy advised.

Tai knocked on the door, but there was no answer.

"I think we're free to enter," said Matt.

Tai opened the door and then led all of us inside.

My friends and I explored the front area with interest.

T.K. stopped to look at a picture on the wall.

"The people who own this mansion wouldn't be evil if they have pictures of angels on the walls," he said.

"Hey T.K., what is an angel?" asked Patamon.

"An angel is somebody who watches over us; just like you guys," the little boy answered.

"You're so cute T.K.," I complemented.

Before we could proceed further, Gabumon paused and sniffed the air.

"What's up Gabumon?" asked Matt.

"I smell the delicious oder of food," Gabumon answered cheerfully.

Everybody perked up joyfully at once.

"Gabumon, are you sure?" asked Agumon.

"Yes, follow me," the Digimon instructed.

"Lead the way Gabumon," urged Matt.

My friends and I followed Gabumon in a hurry down a long hallway.

"Wait for me!" called Biyomon as she flew after us.

The scent of fresh food grew stronger as we approached a door at the end.

Matt opened the door and led us into a dining area.

I entered the room behind Ariel who was still carrying Hawkmon in her arms.

Everyone paused in amazement at the sight before them.

A wide assortment of meats, veggies, fruits, and desserts were spred out across a long table.

"Wow, look at that spread!" exclaimed Tai.

"That is a lot of food," I commented.

"All of it looks really good!" shouted T.K. excitedly.

"Let's dig in," encouraged Izzy.

Sora stared down at the table and then up at the rest of us with uncertainty in her expression.

"Hold on guys, this definitely looks like some sort of trap to me. I think we're being set up," she said.

"I agree 100 percent with Sora. This doesn't look right," added Mimi.

Our stomachs growled as we stared at the enormous food display.

None of us could resist the urge to dig in any longer.

"I don't care if this is a set up. I am so hungry," complained Tai.

"Let's just forget about the whole trap thing," continued Matt.

Without thinking, three of the boys and their Digimon started eating.

Mimi stared at them with a look of disgust.

"They do not have good table manners at all," she commented in disappointment.

"You can say that again," replied Sora.

Joe stayed behind and tried to ignore his temptation.

"In case this is a trap, I'm not going to fall into it. I want to be cautious," he thought.

He watched indecisively as the other boys enjoyed their meal.

"Okay, I guess I'll eat some food too. We're all getting sick together if this really is a trap," Joe relented as he took a seat at the table.

The rest of us and our Digimon agreed as we joined him.

After dinner, my friends and I decided to explore more of the mansion.

We found a couple of bathrooms that had huge bathtubs inside them.

Sora, Mimi, Ariel, and I went into one bathroom while the boys occupied the other one.

Tentomon hovered above my head as I sat near the edge of the tub.

I stared up at him and took a deep relaxing breath.

"This warm water feels great," I said with a smile.

"I couldn't agree more," replied Ariel.

Sora and Mimi were having their own conversation across from us.

Right as the other girls and I were cleaning ourselves up, Gomamon jumped over the side of our tub and flopped into the water.

Ariel and I laughed out loud in unison.

"It's nice of you to entertain us Gomamon," said Ariel.

Mimi grabbed Gomamon by his fur in annoyance.

"Gomamon, what are you doing? You're supposed to be with the boys," she said sternly.

She then pushed the sea lion out of our tub.

Gomamon shook off before he ran away.

After our baths, the girls and I got dressed before we met up with the boys near a third set of rooms.

Inside those rooms were two sets of bunk beds and a dresser.

The boys and girls had separated into two groups once again.

Ariel and I settled ourselves onto one of the bunkbeds while Sora and Mimi took the other.

"These beds look nice and comfortable," I commented.

"We're definitely going to get some good sleep tonight," responded sora with a yawn.

"Oh how I missed sleeping on soft sheets," said Mimi.

"For once I agree with you," replied Ariel.

"I am feeling home sick," Mimi continued.

"Don't worry Mimi, we all miss being home. We'll find a way back to the real world," Sora said sympathetically.

I laid down on my back and pulled the thick blanket over me.

Tentomon landed softly on my chest and curled.

I embraced the Digimon and closed my eyes.

Ariel and Hawkmon were already fast asleep on the bed below me.

"Good night everyone," said Izzy before he shut one of the doors behind him.

The mansion soon went quiet as most of us had fallen asleep.
