Our Journey brings us to another world. A world where Kaiju and other monsters can talk and display intelligence. A world where Sonic and friends were creatures born on Earth and not from another world. A world where Gumball is real and not just a show waiting to be cancelled. We approach the Waterson house.
Gumball is currently asleep when the alarm goes off.
Gumball wakes up and turns it off. "Darwin wake up, it's the first day of Summer Break!"
Darwin comes out of his fish bowl. "So what's the agenda?" He asked happily.
"Tons!" Gumball said excitedly. "Yep today's the day where absolutely nothing can go wrong."
Little did Gumball know that miles away at the South Pole something was about to go terribly wrong.
A helicopter filled with researchers was heading to a base claiming to have found something buried and frozen in the ice.
When it landed they were greeted by other researchers.
"Greetings." Said a man to the new arrivals.
"So is it really true that you've found a UFO frozen in the tundra?" A woman asked.
"Yes." The man replied. "See for yourself."
They were led to the sight and saw a flying saucer frozen in the ice.
"So it's true." The woman named Bethany replied.
"If you think that's strange just wait 'til you see this." The man named Jim said. "While we were unable to unearth the UFO we sent a team down there and they brought something frozen back up." He explained. "Something that may have been alive."
This surprised everyone.
Then another woman named Trudy showed up.
"This way please." She said.
Trudy led the team to another room where they had some unidentified organism frozen in a block of ice.
"We're almost certain it was organic." Jim said. "But we don't know for sure what it is, or if it's still alive."
"And you're certain the ice won't melt?" A man called Carlos asked.
"Certainly." Trudy told them. "See that thermostat?" She asked. "It keeps this room cold enough to the ice frozen, so long as that works we got nothing to worry about."
So the team left. But as soon as the last person closed the door the vibration caused a drop of water on the ceiling to fall and land on the thermostat. This caused a short circuit the room began to heat up. As it did we could see an eye frozen in the ice. It moved and then blinked.
Meanwhile in a place called Green Hills, Sonic The Hedgehog was out for a run when he heard his friends calling to him.
"Sonic." He turned and saw Tails, Knuckles, Silver, and Shadow waving to him. He ran over to them.
"What up guys?" He asked.
"You gotta come check out my new invention." Tails told him.
"What is it?" Sonic asked.
"An alien tracking device." Tails answered. "It can track aliens from within miles."
"Now that's awesome." Sonic said. "But you sure it works?"
"Well I haven't had a chance to test it." Tails admitted. "But if an alien ever shows up we'll know for sure."
The others just smiled.
Meanwhile back at the base in Antarctica, another researcher was coming back to inspect the ice but was shocked. The specimen was gone. Naturally he thought the others had moved it so he went to find them.
In some other place one of the guard dogs was walking around minding its own business. Suddenly from behind a slimy tentacle grabbed it's back paw and began dragging. The dog barked in fear as it tried to escape but couldn't and was taken away.
Later the researcher caught up with the rest of the team and asked where the specimen was.
"What, it's not in the other room?" Jim asked.
"No." He answered.
Suddenly the lights went out.
"Ahhhh!" Someone screamed. Then the backup generator kicked in.
On the floor, Trudy was dead.
"What?" Jim asked. Suddenly roaring was heard and from behind, there it was. The Thing.
"AHHHH!" One by one all the researchers were killed and after that The Thing made its way out of the base.
Suddenly and unexpectedly it began to speak. "Free... At... Last." It said.
