"Tenzin pleas don't send us back." Korra begged the air bending master to let her and her brother stay. The three were waiting at the pound to get back Naga, Kota sat quietly while Korra tried to convince Tenzin. Because of Korra's mistakes with the police she needed to try and talk her way out it herself, so she told Kota that she'll fix it.

"You blatantly disobeyed my orders and the White Lotus. More importantly you put Kota's safety at risk bringing him here." Tenzin scolded Korra, explaining that despite her coming here Kota was a nonbender and is unable to defend himself against anything a bender can.

"But Tenzin, Katara said our destiny was in Republic City! She approved the two of us coming here to live with you!" Korra stated, Tenzin looked over with his face turning red with anger.

"Don't bring my mother into this!"

"Why does he sound like a man-child?" Venom wondered while Kota almost giggled but continued to listen to the two talk.

"Look when we came to Republic City we saw more than what we expected in not even a day. The whole place is out of whack, I wanna stay and help fix that but I can't do that if I don't learn airbending. And I'm not going anywhere so long as my brother stays with me." Tenzin began caress his beard processing what Korra said, almost making a decision.

"Is this your polar bear dog miss?" The man said, worn out by the animal as he tried to bring him out by the colar.

By the time Naga went back into the siblings hands, them and Tenzin went to Air Temple Island in preparation to leave. The siblings had tried all day to come here but to think they'll be leaving before they even got to stay saddened them.

The mood slightly lifted when they were met by Tenzin's children as they flew down to them from their gliders.

"Korra! Kota!" They all said as they ran to them with excitement.

"You guys actually came!" Jinora said surprisedly.

"Does this mean you guys are gonna stay here? I'm so excited!" Ikki said with a smile on her face, jumping up and down while Meelo nodded.

Kota took a knee while Korra bent down, both showing disappointment on their faces. They had no choice but to ruin the moment and tell them the truth.

"I wish that were the case but we have to go back home..." Kota said sadly, even Naga whined.

"All because of that old man..."

"I'm sorry you guys, I wished things were different but we'll have to wait a bit longer..." Korra added, as the kids smiles went away and came disappointment. Tenzin watched as he felt guilty, looking over to the sea where the statue of his father stood.

He knew from all the wisdom and knowledge his father had given him, he had made his decision and believed it to be the best one.

"Korra, Kota, I would like to have a word with you."

"Great what did we do now?" Venom said with an annoying tone in Kota's head while he shook it off.

"Ever since I first met you two as children I began to realize how much you two changed. Not just separately but together as siblings, my mother was right. Your destiny's lie here in Republic City, which is why I've decided to let you stay." Korra and Kota's ran to Tenzin, both hugging him for they couldn't help but be so relieved and happy.

"Ok I did not see that coming."

"Thank you so much Tenzin!" Korra said.

"We don't know how to thank you I can't believe this!" Kota added.

"But of course there are a few things I'd like to say first..." Tenzin stated.

"Yaaaaay..."

Somewhere in Republic City

"So it is true, the Avatar has arrived in Republic City?" A mysterious hooded man said as he stared through the windows at the city. He had recently heard talk about the Avatar arriving a day ago, making an speech to inform and reassure the people.

He was at first unsure until his sources were clarified by his allies, and his comrades that had just arrived moments before.

"Yes sir, it appears our movement will be more challenging than we anticipated." Another man said.

"For every door that closes, another one will open. The Avatar is a problem that can be solved in time, we'll just need to be patient and build our ranks up. Until not even the United Forces can stop us."

"Understood sir."

Nighttime at Air temple Island

Kota rested in one of the rooms he was given just like Korra. His room wasn't anything fancy but it was enough for him, with only the necessities such as a bed and dresser.

"Kota...Kota?" Venom called for Kota to wake up, hoping to speak to him in person instead of the dream world.

Kota shuffled himself in the bed he was in, assuming what he heard was nothing and kept his eyes closed.

"KOTA!"

"AH!" Kota became startled and immediately got up to see Venom staring at him as his liquid like symbiote came from Kota's stomach.

"Venom don't scare me like that." Kota whispered, hoping no one heard him wake up frantically.

Venom laughed at the boy who was almost sweating, giving Venom a look back.

"Come on I was joking." Venom made an excuse, trying to get himself out of his situation.

"Yeah, scaring me and waking me up in the middle of the night...hilarious." Kota said in exaggeration as Venom laughed once more. He stopped after noticing Kota's expression, he seemed a bit out of it but he was tired, Venom felt a feeling in him that yelled disappointment.

"Your disappointed, why?" Venom asked, Kota noticed him catching his feelings and answered back.

"I'm glad I'm here with Korra but to think I'm gonna have White Lotus sentries following me around is not what I had in mind. Especially not being able to leave this island until further notice." Venom nodded to Kota's comment, agreeing with the boy.

"I figured we'd give the symbiote and host bond a test, see what else we can do you know?" Kota crossed his arms and raised his eyebrow at Venom.

"Wasn't kicking the polices butt enough? I know the tricks you pulled could've gotten us caught."

"But we didn't, and it was fun wasn't it?"

"Well yeah we didn't but fun? Heck no."

"Don't lie to me."

"I'm not."

"Kota, I'm part of you. I know what your feeling every second of the day, I know your lying." Kota made up his mind and confessed to Venom.

"Ok ok, I'll admit it. It's pretty exciting to be able to feel like a bender where I'm so much faster and stronger but was what I did right?" Kota asked himself, thinking back to them escaping the police. He had hurt at least two metal benders to escape with Venom's help but despite that he could've been caught. He wondered what danger they could've been if anyone found out about his powers or Venom.

"You did it to protect Korra." Kota remembered that and thought about, knowing that what he did was to help his sister.

"Yeah, I did... hey Venom." Kota didn't feel guilty anymore and thought about something Venom said earlier, calling Venom's name.

"What else do you think we can do together?" Venom smiled with his sharp teeth after hearing Kota's question.

"So much more."
