The next day, Luke and Oliver had their birthday breakfast at their favorite breakfast restaurant and at home for double the fun.
Drell had made the decision to train Emila in an advanced spell. He knew that it was time for her to learn something new and challenging. Emila was eager to learn and was excited about the opportunity to expand her magical abilities.
Drell began the training by explaining the intricacies of the spell and the steps required to perform it successfully. He was patient and thorough in his explanations, ensuring that Emila understood every aspect of the spell. Emila listened attentively and asked questions when necessary.
As the training progressed, Emila's confidence grew. She practiced the spell tirelessly, determined to master it. Drell watched her progress with pride, knowing that she had the potential to become a powerful witch.
Emila flew around a stage balancing eggs and trying not to lose focus.
Meanwhile, Luke and Oliver were at their golf practice session with Lori, who was acting as their coach for the day. Their regular coach was sick, and Lori, being the responsible big sister, took charge of their training. She made sure that they warmed up properly and then proceeded to work on their swings and putting techniques.
Lori's guidance and tips proved to be very helpful for the boys. She pointed out their mistakes and showed them how to correct them. Luke and Oliver were eager to learn and improve their skills, and Lori was patient and encouraging throughout the session.
By the end of the practice, Luke and Oliver had made significant progress. They were tired a bit so Lori took them to eat.
Meanwhile, the others were getting their second party ready at the skating rink. It was a glow-in-the-dark theme.
Angry Luigi was a bit nervous.
"We can't screw this up." Lucy says. "It has to be a good party." Lucy was shaking nervously, not sure it would go well and got images of Luke kicking her out.
"Next time Luke has a fight, we'll make sure he gets the credit." Lana says.
With Lori, Luke, and Oliver, they had just finished eating at the local Chuck E. Cheese restaurant. They ate pizza and salad, then played games and won prizes. The staff even gave the boys a birthday show and a vanilla sheet cake with extra sprinkles and 18 candles on it, which the boys blew out together. She recorded the show and the moment where the boys blew out the candles. She also took a picture of the cake before the show. She would show Charity and Gabriel this later.
Lori then takes the boys to the mall and lets them get whatever they want.
Luke thinks about what to get.
Oliver got a magic top hat and Luke got a neon light disco ball.
Soon, Garrett puts the last gifts on the table when they see Lisa's camera as Luke and Oliver are coming.
"Hide!" Lisa says.
Everyone hides in the party area around the skating rink. Lori brings the boys in.
Everyone came out to surprise the boys.
"Surprise! Happy birthday, Luke and Oliver!" Everyone says, smiling at them.
The boys are in awe of the glow in the dark theme.
They then go to get their skates and hit the rink as the DJ starts playing some upbeat music. But the boys wanted to do the routine they coordinated. The DJ smiled and played "Sexy And I Know It" by LMFAO, the guests watching the boys skate in sync.
"They're amazing!" Chalice says.
"SO amazing!" Luna says.
People clapped as they finished their routine.
"Thank you!" Luke says.
"Thank you all!" Oliver says.
The party then gets underway. The boys sit and take a few minutes to themselves. They just looked around as people were chatting.
Soon, Luke and Luna give a sneak peek of their performance. But Luke didn't get into it.
"Are you okay?" Luna asked.
Luke just lays on stage.
"Luke, are you okay?" Luna asked. Luke snores on stage.
Luna picks him up and carries him to a bench, letting him rest.
Oliver wonders if he should wait to open gifts.
"Wait." Lucy says. "This is a party for you and Luke and the gifts are for both of you."
They didn't do much while Luke rested.
After a bit, Luke woke up, just to see everyone skating without him. He walked off, feeling left out.
"Hey, Luke." Lisa says
Luke feels upset and left out.
"Nobody waited for me…." Luke says.
"I did. Lucy's writing poems." Lisa says.
Luke just looks down.
"We could do it." Lisa says nervously.
Charity sees Luke awake and feels horrible.
Luke skates alone after a while.
Lucy sees this and froze, she just blew it. Luke would never forgive her.
Lucy runs away ashamed. But Luke wasn't mad at Lucy.
"Luke?" Leni asked.
"You ruined my birthday! I hate you all!" Luke hissed as everyone watched Oliver open the presents without Luke.
Luke was livid.
Meanwhile, Angry Luigi speeds past Jason's house.
"Jason?" Angry Luigi says.
"Not now." Jason says as Melody was sick.
"Oh." Angry Luigi says.
Luke just flew above the skating rink building and floated above it.
"Time to kill them all for ruining my birthday!" Luke hisses.
He shot a huge blast nearly killing them as there was a huge explosion.
Garrett was hurt, bleeding. Luke gasped as he nearly killed his best friend.
Charity was out cold. Most of the guests were, except Oliver and Lynn. Chalice's arm cracked.
Oliver glared at Luke. "I'm going to KILL YOU!" He says.
Oliver blasted Luke using magic, sending Luke down. But Emila came in with her new advanced magic to use a magic spell similar to a magic seal and created her own binding scarves and tied Oliver up.
Lucy sees this. "This is my fault." Lucy says.
Charity comes to, using her own magic to fix everyone and everything.
"I hate you all…" Luke says to everyone. "Mom, ground them and make sure no one but me celebrates from now on" Luke says, wanting everyone else's birthdays to be canceled, even Oliver's.
"You kids obviously had no patience." Charity says.
"We're sorry." Lori says.
"All Luke and Oliver wanted was a fun celebration full of skating, games, and plenty of fun, food, and memories. But none of you cared. I wonder if you kids even loved them at all." Gabriel says.
"Oliver opened gifts without me." Luke says.
"Oliver Christopher Fox…." Gabriel says.
Oliver looks ashamed.
"I tried to warn him." Tina stammered.
"Here's my gift, Luke." Leni says. It was a neon outfit for the party and the show.
Luke sniffed, looking at it.
"I don't have a party to wear this to…." Luke sniffed.
"Um, Mom fixed the party." Luna says.
Luke just looks down.
Lana offered her gift to Luke. It was a pair of neon-colored high-top sneakers designed by none other than Luke's favorite fashion designer aside from Leni, Morris Marsh. Luke admires Morris' work and has done so since the age of 12.
Then Lincoln offered his gift, which was a Glitched Cheerleader graphic novel set, the entire series, in fact. He was surprised to see the whole set was signed by the author.
"Sweet…" Luke says and opens Garrett's gift, revealing a quilt made from Luke's old cheerleading shirts. Luke smiles at this. Garrett got Oliver the same thing.
Soon, Lola gave them a nice pageant performance. Luke sighed and went off to change into his new outfit and shoes.
Skylia kept the Louds and everyone in line.
Luke emerged at piñata time, just to see Oliver couldn't wait.
Skylia was trying to restrain him with magic.
Luke gasps and begins to tear up. Lori holds Luke.
"I'll never get my turn…." Luke says.
Lucy pushes Oliver out of the way and gives the stick to Luke as her hands are bloody. Luke shrieked as Lucy touched his new outfit.
Lucy froze and used magic removing the blood, then walked away.
Luke sighed and took his turn, breaking the piñata.
Oliver looked ashamed, knowing that Luke hates him.
Luke checks on Lucy and hears her cutting herself. Luke stops her and fixes her cuts.
"I failed you." Lucy sniffed.
"No." Luke says. "Oliver being impatient is what upset me."
Lucy still felt guilty, but nodded.
Soon, Luan was juggling for Luke and Oliver. Oliver was giggling while Luke was frowning.
After that, she told a few jokes. Luke laughed a little.
Then she did a mime act. Oliver was fascinated, while Luke just watched.
Later, Chalice did her dance, charming Oliver and Luke. The boys loved it as Luke blushed a little.
Chalice smiled.
Later they played games. Most were skating games, then others were dancing games.
Then Luke eats some pizza then thinks about Lucy, hoping she wouldn't do it again.
Oliver felt guilty and only ate two slices of pizza and some chips.
Soon, the lights went off then came on.
"My bad." Lisa says.
Later Amber and Luke skated. Luke just screamed.
"What's wrong?" Amber asked, looking a bit hurt.
"Are you in love with me?" Luke asked.
"No, Stephen and Lonnie are skating. So I had no one to skate with. Brandy's afraid of ice." Amber says.
"It's a roller skating party!" Luke shouts. "Did nobody get the memo?!"
"He doesn't understand wordplay also he can't skate." Amber says.
"EVERYONE brought ICE skates!" Luke screamed as he walked off.
Oliver gives the invitations to the siblings and asks them to read them.
"It's a roller skating party." Lori says.
Lucy was cutting herself again, thinking she upset Luke.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" Lucy says. Luke wasn't upset with her. He was upset that the siblings didn't get the idea of the party.
"Luke, they just made a little mistake." Charity says. "Everyone makes mistakes."
"They obviously couldn't read it right!" Luke says.
They look ashamed.
"Idiots!" Luke says. Oliver looks at Luke.
Soon, the lights turned off.
Luke screamed as he didn't think his family loved him.
Someone guided the boys to thrones as candles illuminated the room. The cake looked like a neon-colored skating rink with little versions of Oliver and Luke skating in the middle of it, which were toys. The rink cake glowed in the dark as 18 straight neon candles were lit on each side. It read "Happy Epic Eighteenth Birthday, Luke & Oliver!" in bright neon icing.
Everyone was in awe of the cake.
"Nice work, Luan!" Stephen says.
Luan smiles and leads off the singing. Oliver was smiling a genuine smile and Luke was faking his, but was hiding it well.
They continued as Leni had been recording.
Soon, Oliver wished for Luke to forgive him and blew out the candles on his side of the cake.
Luke thought long and hard about his wish.
He wished his siblings would stop being selfish people who hated him and would put him first ahead of their activities and their own birthdays and also to have lots of attention and to win and for Oliver to stop being a jerk.
He blew out the candles as everyone cheered wildly for the boys.
Luke cut three slices out of the cake and walked off.
Luna feels bad for Luke.
"He's been upset for a while." Lori says. "I think it's more than just this birthday that upset him. His birthdays when he was much younger….that's what's wrong. Those birthdays were failures. He feels like he'll never get the one birthday where an actual smile would adorn his face."
Lori opens a door, seeing Lucy attempting suicide again, but sees Gabriel reassuring her and fixing her wounds. Gabriel was the father figure Lucy wished she had and now she has it through Gabriel.
After the party, Luke looked through birthday scrapbooks of his birthdays before his tenth. There weren't many pictures in them or there were no pictures at all. He sobbed bitterly.
Oliver felt really bad for him as he watched.
"You need to make things right. We're trying our best, but you and Chalice are the reasons Luke can't be happy and every mistake you make ruins Lucy's sanity. She's trying to make sure Luke doesn't end up like her. If tomorrow doesn't go well, we may just lose Luke." Lori sniffed. "I don't want to lose the one brother who is good at golf and has a shot at the Fairway team…."
Oliver goes to talk to him, but Lori stops him. "You can do that tomorrow. Now is a bad time." She says.
Luke looked at the scrapbooks some more as Chalice stepped in.
"No, I hate you! You show off!" Luke hissed, specifically not wanting her around. But the minute she sang the special birthday song she wrote for Luke on his 6th birthday, Luke settled down.
"You…you remember….the song…." Luke says, looking at Chalice.
"I do. I'm sorry about how your birthdays have been. You've never had a happy birthday…" Chalice says, rubbing Luke's back.
Lucy hears this realizing the past 8 birthdays she planned were failures. She saw that she wasn't to blame for those failures, but the siblings were.
Chalice holds Luke as he falls asleep.
