Hah! Can't believe everybody's favorite holiday is coming.
Actually, I'm not really authorized (read: eligible) to say anything regarding Christmas—I am, after all, neither a Christian nor a Catholic—but then I thought, 'Hey, why not make a Christmas NaruSaku fanfic while I'm at it?'
And don't question my pairing choice, I love those two idiots.
Naruto: Hey! Who's the idiot?
Sakura: Aww, we love you too, Spin.
Naruto: I sure as hell don't.
Sakura: Naruto. Behave.
Naruto: *gulp*
Aaaand ending my useless ranting, let's get down to business. Imaginary drum roll, please.

Prologue

Christmas is a coming

Snow is not generally common in Konoha, the Hidden Leaf Village. Heck, it rarely occurs in the land it resides; the Land of Fire, respectively called Hi no Kuni.
The only time it snows is when Christmas is nearing, and when it does, the snow took its time to rain on Konoha. Last time it happened, the road was covered in ankle-deep snow.

Nevertheless, Christmas in Konoha means good food, family gathering, snowball fighting…oh, and presents! That's for sure.

One person didn't have it like that. Well, not until recently. His previous Christmas as a kid was filled with prank-playing, store-trashing, and snow-piling fun. At least, that is what it would seem to people who doesn't know him well.
For a kid, he's rather lonely. No family, no friends, and no one to give him presents wrapped in a red bow-tie. His parents died when he was born. His mother actually belonged to a powerful clan, but that clan was deceased long ago leaving him as the only one left. No one wanted to be his friends since they saw him as a pest and loser. Probably their parents influence. This kid holds the most powerful of the tailed beasts that once terrorize the ninja world, the nine-tailed fox Kyuubi. Perhaps that's why the older villagers hate him. And as such, no one cared to give him presents.

But, hey! If you look closely, that was written in past-tense.

The present version of him bears a wide grin on his face where ever he goes. He has a lot of friends now. Also, a team, a good sensei and teammates he'd die for, a wise—if not perverted—mentor (he's deceased, now. It has been so for three years or so. Bless his good yet perverted heart), and it goes on and on through the list. All of those people saved him from the loneliness, and he is in debt to them whether he knows it or not. That's why he intends to repay them. This is after all, Christmas, and what better day to repay them for their kindness?

Well, you would hit me because of the short chapter. Don't worry, this is just the prologue. This was intended to be a oneshot, but I just had the feeling to put in the prologue. In the end, I don't know if it helps or not but enjoy!
