Metal Pointe ch17a

A/N: Well, here it is….we're almost to the end of this journey. There's this chapter, Bella's POV and then the epi left.

RL has pulled me and Bnjwl in a million different directions this past couple of months and we sincerely apologize and appreciate your sticking with us on this fic. We've put so much of ourselves into the story that sometimes, that we adore all of the kind words and reviews that you've each left us.

I couldn't imagine having written this story with anyone other than Bnjwl. Truly she has pushed me and inspired me in ways that I don't think that even she understands. I love her beyond reason most days, and I drive her just as crazy with my neurotic self. I love you, Ben….always and forever. THANK YOU for just loving me for being me and for EVERYTHING that you do for me every single day.

Now…with that being said: THANK YOU to all of the readers that have read, reviewed, pimped and rec'd this fic. It wouldn't be near what it is without all of you! Including A Jasper For Me who is an amazing beta. She stepped into this half way through and has truly been fantastic about dealing with our erratic posting schedule these past few months. WE LOVE YOU AJFM

NOW….on with the show!

My parents were ecstatic about our engagement and impending wedding. My mother cried and hugged Bella with the fierceness of a mother bear.

My dad was thrilled we had finally found the happiness we deserved.

We had a small celebration with my family along with Jasper and his wife, Alice. They were still together. I couldn't believe it when he'd shown up at my parent's house, having heard I was back in town.

We talked, worked things out and I had hoped we could become friends again. After all, we'd been through so much together, it seemed a shame to throw it all away now. He looked good, sober and he and Alice seemed happy together.

She and Bella appeared to have hit it off, and I could see a new friendship forming for Bella. That made me happy, as I knew she didn't have many girlfriends.

We spent almost a week with my parents before we headed down to California, where Charlie lived. I wanted to ask for Bella's hand in marriage, the proper way, even though she had proposed to me.

Especially since I had retrieved my grandmother's wedding ring from my mom and couldn't wait to give it to Bella. And I would put it on her hand, as soon as I had Charlie's blessing.

Charlie and I had sat on the deck of his boat house and had a lengthy discussion about where my life had led me up until this point. He expressed his regret for his inactions on Bella's behalf earlier in our lives. He also gave me his blessing, as he put it, 'to keep making his baby girl smile like she had been since we'd arrived'.

It warmed my heart to know we were on the path that agreed with us. Our future was blessed with all the love and support from our family and friends.

Now, we just had to make it official. I had to propose to Bella.

On our trip back home, we made the decision to go back to Forks for another day or two, which worked out perfectly for what I had in mind.

I pulled the car into the driveway of 'our house', as Bella had taken to calling her childhood home.

"Honey, we're home," I said with a laugh to wake up my sleeping beauty. It was rare moments like this when I took in her beauty and marveled through all we'd accomplished in order to finally be together.

"What?" Bella asked with the sleep still evident in her voice as she stretched her beautiful body to relax the kinks from sleep.

"I said, we're home, we're here, baby." I unbuckled and moved to get out of the car to grab our bags from the trunk before I went around to help her out.

"It feels so good to come back here with you," she whispered with a quick kiss when she stood up and stretched again. A tiny sliver of her stomach showed as her shirt rose up and it kept my eyes enthralled.

Because of our stay at Charlie's, there hadn't been much physical interaction between us, and I was dying to make love to her again. Especially after what I had planned for later on tonight.

"Should we let your parents know we're back?" Bella asked as we walked up the porch steps and I slid the key into the lock.

"Nah, it's late, we can go see them tomorrow. Besides, I need some serious alone time with you, sweet girl." I dropped the bags on the floor inside the door and pushed her against the wall. I raised her hands over her head and moved my body to trap her between me and the wall.

"Mmm, I can feel how much you need me, Edward," she moaned as my lips wasted no time tasting her neck.

"Fuck, you have no idea how much I've needed to be inside of you for the past 24 hours." I growled as I pulled her shorts down. She was bare underneath, I realized, as my fingers swirled around her heat.

"Take me, baby. I'm all yours now." She reached for my button, managing to strip me to my knees, as my cock bounced with anticipation.

"Bring your legs up." I ordered as I gripped my cock with one hand and her ass with the other.

I held her upper body against the wall with my torso and positioned myself at her entrance.

"I love you, Princess," I said, before I kissed her and thrust inside of her.

"Yes, Knight, yes," she hissed once we broke for air.

My mouth tasted every ounce of skin I could reach as our bodies pushed and pulled toward the end release. It was fast, hot and nothing more than a deep, passionate fuck between lovers.

But, it was something we'd both desperately needed when we came together this way. All the years we'd lost, all the time we'd tried to gain back, didn't matter because we knew we'd never be without the other ever again.

A few hours later, after we'd showered and fucked again, I asked Bella to put on her favorite dance outfit and meet me in the cubby hole behind the fence in 45 minutes.

She looked at me perplexed, grinned and nodded as I grabbed a bag I had put together and left her to her own devices.

I quickly made my way down the stairs and into the little half bathroom off the living room. I had to rush to make myself look like I had all those years ago; spiked and colored hair, eyeliner, full face of metal.

I wanted to change that memory.

I wanted to do it right this time.

I wanted us to begin forever with a solid foundation of who we used to be and who we were now.

'The Ballerina Princess' and her 'Punk Rock Knight'. That's what we'd always be to one another.

I stood just across the way, in the shadows, and waited for her to appear in the moonlight. When she did, it took my breath away. She looked fucking amazing in her soft pink leotard and short flowing skirt. She had even put on her toe shoes because she knew they drove me fucking crazy the way they laced up around her delicate ankles.

Once she got into the cubby hole, I waited for a moment as she looked around for me. I purposely stepped on a twig to let her know I was close. When she heard my approach, she turned to me with a look of shock upon her face that morphed into a smile.

"Knight?" she questioned as I slowly moved forward, like a lion stalking my prey.

"You look so gorgeous in the moonlight, Princess," I said as I dropped to my knee in front of her.

She gasped and put her hands onto my shoulders. Her touch soothed me so much, it made all the chaos pull into focus and I was ready to ask her.

"Baby?" She questioned me again.

"Bella, you've owned my heart for almost my entire life. You've seen me at my best and worst. I've pledged my life to love you and only you. Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife, in this yard, under our tree?" I pulled the ring box from my pocket and opened it. When the moonlight glinted off the center stone, she squealed.

"Yes, Edward. Yes, Yes, Yes," she squeaked. Her tiny hands grabbed my head by the hair at the nape of my neck and pulled my head back to kiss me while she leaned over me.

It was the searing kind of kiss that would have brought me to my knees if I hadn't already been on them.

"You really wanna get married back here?" she asked after our lips released the others.

"Yes, Bella. I really do. I don't want to wait. I want to do it soon. I want to start my life with you. Now. Here. Always," I replied, confident in the words I'd just said.

She dropped to her knees in front of me and we wound our arms around each other.

"How soon can we get all of our stuff from Seattle and move it here to fill our house?" She asked as she quirked her brows at me.

"A week, two at the most to get it all packed, loaded or donated. I've already talked to Emmett about work, and he's got some stuff lined up for me that will free me up to work freelance from here." I gestured to the house, and her smile almost splintered her face. "We can look for a building or buy a lot and build a dance studio for you, if we have to," I said as she caught onto my enthusiasm for what I'd been planning for the past week.

We talked for hours that night and made love even more. We could not even think about sleeping. As the sun crested the horizon, we finally fell into the dark abyss of slumber; exhausted, sated and completely in love.

My parents were more than willing to come back to Seattle with us to help with the move, as were Jasper and Alice. Jasper was contemplating going back to school and sticking around the area for a while, which made all of us happy as we'd started to develop healthy friendships between the four of us.

It only took us a little over a week to get both of our apartments cleaned out. We kept some furniture, donated the rest and bought what we needed to make our new house a home for us to live in.

All the while, Bella, Alice and my mom had managed to find her the perfect wedding dress, rent me a tux and lined up catering for our impromptu wedding. Charlie already had his plane ticket and things were set to go.

Now, we just had to make it until Saturday.

The day Isabella Marie Swan would finally become my wife. My heart skipped a beat every time I thought about it.

It only took 24 years for us to get here.

Rosalie, Alice and Bella were planning on driving the car back, while Emmett, Jasper and I drove the U-haul. My parents were picking up Charlie at the airport along with Carlisle, Esme and Riley.

That was it.

That was the extent of our wedding guests we wanted around us, to share in our joy and be there to witness our vows.

It would be perfect.

Riley was going to be our ring-bearer; he was thrilled he got to be in the wedding, and it meant the world to Bella and me that we were able to have him be in the actual ceremony.

We left Seattle on Tuesday, spent all day Wednesday unloading, unpacking and putting our house together. Thursday we spent preparing the yard for the wedding.

On Friday, Bella and I hosted a small party for our 'rehearsal' dinner, along with Reverend Webber and his wife. He'd agreed to marry us after we'd met with him and explained what we wanted.

Saturday morning arrived, and I had missed waking up next to Bella. But the girls and my mother had hijacked her from me and thrown me out of our house around midnight.

Charlie, my dad, Emmett, Jasper and Riley had driven down to La Push, had a bonfire and sat around for a while sharing stories and bonding like men do.

It was more than I could have ever asked for and more than I'd ever expected out of the life I'd led.

But, it'd all led me to this point.

Saturday afternoon at promptly 1:48, I'd walked out the backdoor of my parents' home to stand next to Reverend Webber at the base of our tree house ladder and waited rather impatiently for Bella to arrive.

My dad stood beside me, while the rest of our friends and family, minus my mom, Charlie and Riley, were seated in various chairs around us.

A circle of support, love and friendship to witness the beginning of our life together. As the music started, I saw Riley appear in the little cove between our fences.

He looked at me and grinned. It brought tears to my eyes with the pride I felt in knowing he was my son. He might not call me dad, but I knew the love Bella and I shared came into fruition with the birth of that child.

He was truly the epitome of our long-lasting love affair.

He took his time as he watched his feet to count the beats he'd been instructed to follow as the music continued to pump through the sound system Jasper and I had rigged up.

When the melody changed to Bella's lullaby, I strained my eyes to see her come through the gate.

My mom's glowing face came into view, tears moistened her cheeks as she walked the few feet to take her place beside where Bella would stand momentarily.

As the chorus began to build, there she was, my bride, my Princess, my life.

I couldn't help the tears that escaped my eyes, and I fought to hold in the moan at the sight of her in that white gown.

A vision.

My one true vision.

My love.

My life.

My future.

Princess Bella.

As she made her way towards me, our eyes stayed locked on each others. Both of us were crying happy tears of joy for the moment we'd dreamed about for our whole lives.

We'd made it through the hurt and pain of separation. We'd made it through the loss and resurgence of our child. We'd made it through accidents and overdoses.

It had all led up to this moment.

The moment.

Charlie placed her hand in mine and clapped me on the shoulder as I noticed the tears in his own eyes when ours met.

"Love her always, son," he said before I nodded and he moved to take his seat.

"You look beautiful," I whispered to Bella as I felt her hand brush the tears from my cheeks.

"So do you," she whispered back as we turned to face the preacher.

I looked down for a split second to see Riley right between us.

I looked back to up Bella.

This was perfect.

This was all we had lived for.

She was mine forever.

I would always belong to her.

Always.
