Hello everyone, to my new chapter. First let me tell you about the polls.
I got 30 votes for harem and 11 votes for just Percy and Annabeth. Keep voting folks, I'll tell you the winner the next chapter or the next one after that. Also, if harem wins Annabeth will still be the closest to Percy out of all the girls who like Percy. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter and I got something very interesting in the middle of chapter that should open the eyes of most of the gods. When I mean most, I mean except for Ares and Zeus. Now, enjoy.

Burning Food
"Chapter 7: My Dinner Goes Up in Smoke," Will reads and some got confuse about that title.
"Must been dinner time in the book," Athena said. There are several nods in agreement.
(Word of...dripping wet.)
"Or both," Travis chimed in. He and Connor had to hold back a laugh, for fear of Annabeth's knife, when they saw her dripping wet.
(She showed…fast enough.)
"Worst...obstacle...ever!" Percy said, with most agreeing, even Clarisse. The only one who didn't was Grover, since he got goat legs to help climb, and Leo.
"I think it's fun." Leo commented, making everyone roll the eyes.
Piper voiced what they're thinking, "Of course you do, fireboy. You are practically immune." Leo pouted, making Piper giggle at how cute he look. Then Piper caught what she was thinking? Cute? She and Leo are just friends, just friends. Nothing more.
(Finally we… "Whatever")
"Gee Annabeth, cold much?" Nico questioned, a bit teasingly, "I mean, it not like he tried to make you wet." Annabeth rub her head sheepishly at her attitude at the past. God, she was a brat.
("It wasn't my fault.")
Everyone look at him in disbelief. Percy blush. That was a stupid thing to say back then.
"Technically," Naruto spoke to the demigods and gods, "It wasn't his fault, it was Clarisse. He provoked him and lead him in the bathroom." The gods and demigods nodded in understanding, except for Ares who didn't like her daughter being blame for the punk, while Clarisse blush in embarrassment.
(She look...to me.)
"Which was, incredible!" Leo shouted out. "Dude, you show more and more powers almost every chapter!" Percy blush at the praise, making Annabeth and Reyna giggle while Reyna had to hold back one. Jason clench his fist in jealousy, but didn't say anything. Piper breaking up with him and the conflict with Thalia affected him. Hercules didn't have that problem.
"Please," he said arrogantly, "My strength and skills are much better than the sea spawn water powers." Mostly everyone glare at him, except for Jason, Orion, and Zeus. Everyone really hates Hercules, even Ares want to kill the son of Zeus. Yep, Hercules that bad. Not surprising.
(I had...the plumbing.)
Everyone laugh once more at Percy's thought while Percy blush in embarrassment. His thoughts are very entertaining.
("You need...ask Chiron.")
"Hey!" Rachel exclaimed, glaring at Annabeth, "I'm not a what!"
Her response was, "I was talking about the old one," making Rachel rub her head sheepishly. Apollo grin when he heard that his oracle is getting a new body, briefly forgetting about Artemis and Naruto. Briefly.
(I stared...for once.)
Annabeth, Sally, Grover, and Chiron winced. They obviously been bad at explaining things to him. From the fury attack to losing his mother, he just got riddles.
They were about to apologize when Percy just stop them, "Don't guys. The past is the past. I didn't held any grudges for it." The four smile. That was the best part about Percy, his kindness.
Suddenly, baby Percy crawl out of Sally's lap and then walk to the Thalia. Thalia look surprise when the baby went to her but then pick him up when he did the pick me up sign. The women aww at that.
(I wasn't...waved back.)
Percy felt Annabeth growl from his chest and roll his eyes. Wise Girl can be real jealous sometimes, like the time she saw a couple of girls at Goode's flirting with him. He had to use all of his strength to hold her down and not kill the girls.
He heard a couple of other growls and turn to see they're coming from Thalia, Clarisse, Rachel, and Reyna. He raise an eyebrow. Thalia and Clarisse he understand since they are like his overprotective sisters, but why did Rachel and Reyna growl? Reyna didn't has feelings for him does she? And didn't Rachel's feelings for him dissolve when she became Oracle? He decided not to think about it for now and continue on with listening to the story.
("Don't encourage...terrible flirts.")
"Wow, you were jealous back then Annabeth?" Thalia teased. She dodge a pillow Annabeth thrown and then Annabeth bury her head in Percy's chest to hide her blush. In truth, she did had a crush on Percy after he defeated the Minotaur and was jealous. And back then, she thought love at first site was a myth. Although she thought Greek Mythology was a myth when she was a myth as well.
("Naiads," I...home now.")
All the guys stare at him in disbelief.
"So let me get this straight?" Leo said in disbelief. "You fought a fury, saw the fates, beaten a minotaur, met a centaur and a god, and a bunch of pretty girls makes you want to go home?" Percy blush heavily at that.
"That the best part about Percy," Annabeth defended, "He has no perverted bone in his body while the rest of you guys does." Artemis perk up at that. A boy with no perverted bone. That's something she hasn't heard before.
"Don't forget gods too. Except for Poseidon, Hades, and Hephaestus," Hestia added as well. Some of the guys rub their heads sheepishly while the others look indigitant (Zeus, Hercules, and Orion). They are not perverts! They just, have a healthy interest in girls, yeah thats it. Not perverted at all.
(Annabeth frown...disturbed kids?")
"Hey!" All of the demigods cried in indigitantly. Percy blush. He shouldn't have said that years ago.
"We are not mentally disturbed!" Thalia cried out, "Only Nico is!"
"Hey!"
"Nico, you know it's true."
"Be quiet Hazel, you're not helping."
("I mean...half-what?")
"Come one!" Octavius cried out indigitantly. "We are leaving the hands of the Romans to this Greek idiot?!"
Before anyone can blink Reyna is holding him up in the throat, Annebeth is pointing her dagger at his jewels, and Rachel is with them, surrounded by the mist and her eyes glowing and misty.
"Get this straight in your thick skull Octavius!" Reyna growled out, "Percy is the strongest out of all the greeks and roman and save all of us! So you better shut your mouth, listen to the story, or else you'll never live to see the future again! UNDERSTAND?!" She squeeze his throat to get the point more in. The romans are shock. Reyna rarely ever let her anger get the best, but it seem that when it comes to Percy she will let emotions come out. Jason clench his fist. Another thing Jackson took from him.
Octavion manage to nod making Reyna let go of them, Annabeth to put up her knife, and the mist disappear with Rachel's eyes turning back to normal. Percy eyebrows went sky high. He got the feeling Rachel and Reyna care more for him than in a sisterly way…
After everyone got back to there seats, Will continue the story.
("I think… "Half-god.")
"Finally!" Zeus exclaimed, throwing his hand up in the air, "The boy is not completely stupid!" A gallon of seawater splash on him after that. He glare at Poseidon, who is whistling innocently. Everyone (Except Jason and Hercules. Daddy's boys) laugh at him while Percy smile at his father for defending him. Poseidon smile back.
(Annabeth nodded...the Olympians.")
"Or one of the minor gods," Naruto pointed out to Annabeth, "People keep forgetting the minor gods and goddesses also have kids, which is kinda why many of the minor demigods are forgotten and remained undetermined."
Many of the gods and goddesses bow their heads at that, except for Ares and Zeus. They should have give the minor gods a cabin for there kids to live in.
("That's...few millenia?")
"Unfortunately, no," Hera said, glaring at Zeus, making him sweat a little. Naruto can see the flash of betrayal and heartbreak through that anger though, making him shake his head. No wonder Hera turn bitter and hateful towards demigods. You can take so much of someone cheating on you, whether you are a guy or a girl.
("But those...your dad?")
"Sensitive topic alert," Thalia alerted to the others.
(Her hands...sensitive subjects.)
Everyone laugh at that. Those two really do think alike.
Thalia pick up baby Percy and said, "You think like me, got it?" Instead of replying, the baby reach for a lock of her hair and play with it. Thalia giggle a little, since it tickles.
("My dad...American history.")
Athena sent a worried look to her daughter. What happen between her and Frederick? Annabeth saw the look her mother sent, but ignored it. She didn't forgave her one bit for attacking her boyfriend.
("He's human...is that?")
"Um, I don't think Percy was thinking like that," Hazel pointed out before anyone could say anything, Annabeth blush. She should've thought of that before coming to conclusions. And she's the daughter of the wisdom goddess.
("Who's you're...and battle.")
Athena sent a small smile at her daughter, but Annabeth ignores it. Athena's look down and her fist down. It's all the sea spawn fault. He took her daughter away from her. But she need her daughter to see that the sea spawn is arrogant like every other son of the sea god and will break her heart. (Before anyone say that Athena wouldn't think that, know the her rivalry with Poseidon and her hubris is making her think that so she won't put the blame on herself or admit that Percy is a humble demigod. Not yet, maybe.)
(Okay, I...She knew.")
"You're correct Percy," Sally said, smiling at Poseidon. Poseidon smile back at her, making some of the goddesses go 'awww'.
("Maybe not...loved her.")
"You are correct again Percy," Poseidon said softly, turning into human mode and sitting with Sally. Sally blush heavily, but stay where she's at. She and Percy makes eye contact, silently deciding when to tell Poseidon that she's married in the future. They decided at the third book.
(Annabeth gave...my bubble.)
"Sorry Percy," Annabeth said, smiling apologetically. She's been saying sorry a lot in this book and have the feeling she will say it more time in the future. She made some stupid mistakes that hurted Percy, physically or mentally.
("Maybe you're...it doesn't?")
"Unfortunately," Naruto said, "But luckily, I forced them to claim there children instead of ignoring them like they usually do."
Many of the gods, except Ares, bow their head in shame. They are making many mistakes that is showing in this books. And they have the feeling these mistakes are gonna bite them in the butt, painfully.
(Annabeth ran...ignore us.")
"That's not true!" Demeter cried out. "We do you care about our children!" All the demigods, Naruto, and Artemis have disbelieving looks on their faces.
"Then how come," Naruto spoke for all the demigods, "You abandon your children after they're born and never visit them?" The gods (Athena, Demeter, Aphrodite, Apollo, Hermes) flinch. "How come you never claim some of your children, no matter loss they feel?" More flinches. "And how come you don't help them when they're in desperate need for it?" They flinch even more and the goddesses have tears in their eyes. The ones who don't feel guilty is Zeus and Ares and the ones who didn't abandon their kids completely is Hephaestus, Poseidon, Dionysus, and Hades.
"The ancient laws states that-" Athena weakly argued but Naruto isn't having none of it.
"Bullshit!" Naruto roared out, making them jump, "You ignore those rules all the time when you knock up a mortal, seduce them into your bed, or Athena case, make their babies in your brain and gave them the demigods! But it would so absurd if you try to help them out or visit them! You don't even claim some of them when they're at camp!" Naruto is standing up now and Hestia and Artemis got off his lap before he did.
"I've seen demigods lives! Heck, I've experienced their life when I was mortal!" Naruto started yelling now, "Some lost their parent and have to survive on their own! Some are abused, beaten, and/or neglected by their mom or dad! All of them fear that they won't survive to see their eighteenth birthday and most been killed before they're even sixteen!" His eyes are now red and his claws are showing. Red and black aura is surrounding, making the demigods hides in their seats, even Hercules, baby Percy cry in distress, and the gods stay back from him, even Zeus and Ares.
"You gods to don't dare ever take responsibility for it and hide in the ancient laws! That why half of your kids are dead and maybe more in the future! That's why some of them hate you! It's because you guys are god damned hypocrites! ALL OF YOU, GROW UP!" Naruto sat down back in his seat, breathing heavily and his aura fading away as well as his claws and red eyes. Hestia and Artemis got back up in his seat and try to calm their beloved dad. The gods and goddesses back back in their seats after they thought it was safe. Then the goddesses who have children cry in their hands while the gods bow their heads in shame. The only ones who didn't was Zeus and Ares.
The demigods look at Naruto with interest. What did he mean when he said he experienced his life? They would need to ask him at the next break and they're not taking no as an answer, especially the more stubborn ones. Thalia sooth the crying baby, singing a song she learn from the hunters. The baby stop crying and snuggle up to Thalia, sleeping peacefully.
After all that, Will read again.
(I thought...behave better.)
"Very true," Naruto said with a heavy huff. "Glad we agree Percy. The only ones who don't abandon their kids is Hephaestus, Poseidon, and Hades." The gods and goddesses feel even more shame. Naruto and Percy is right. They should behave better.
"Come on," Ares said arrogantly, "Why should we listen to him? Our kids should earn the right to be claim, not just handed to them." All lot of people glare at him, especially Clarisse. She had to kill many of her siblings that were unclaimed because of her bastard of a father. Aphrodite frown at herself. Why is she dating this brute again? She need to really reconsider this before she makes a decision.
Before anyone knew it, Naruto grab him by the edge of his throat and is holding a rasengan in his left hand. He glare at him hard, his red eyes returning.
"Listen here Ares," Naruto say lowly, "I'm not in the best mood right now, so I'm only going to say this once. Stop opening your chaps, it only spouts out idiocy. If I ever hear you make, cruel or idiotic comments like that again I will make you suffer more than anyone in Tartarus. Understand?!" Ares, fearing for his godly life, barely nodded while still in the chokehold. Naruto let him go and go back in his seat. Zeus eyes flash. If that happens one more time, he will need to remind this minor god his place.
Will sighed. At this rate, they all be eighty by the time they finish the book. He got back to reading though.
("So I'm...powerful force.")
"Hey!" the two goddesses mentioned, cried out and glare at Annabeth. "We do you mean we're not a powerful force?" Annabeth sweat, trying to think up a good explanation without upsetting the goddess. Luckily, Percy saves her.
"She mean you guys are more peaceful than the other Olympians so monsters will ignore your kids," Percy reasoned out, saving Annabeth from getting blasted. The two goddesses calm down after that and Annabeth sent a thank you kiss on cheek for helping. Percy blush, making Annabeth giggle and making Reyna and Rachel scowl. The two got uncomfortably close to him, literally, making him blush even more and shuffle a bit while the three girls glare at each other.
(The monsters...like that.")
"Like Micheal Jackson, Son of Apollo or John Adams, Son of Athena." Frank said. The two nodded, smiling at the thought of there favorite demigods.
("So monsters… "Pratical Jokes?")
"Used to do that," the Stolls admitted, "But not anymore." All of the gods look confused.
"Why don't you do it anymore?" Hermes ask, curious as all the other gods. The demigods look away and said that it will be in the book, making the gods sigh. This better not be that bad.
("The point...your business.")
"Wow Annie, you don't have to be so harsh," Thalia teased, dodging a knife Annabeth thrown.
("Oh." I...gone well.)
"It didn't," Annabeth, Thalia, and Grover said in a monotone voice. They feel neutral about Luke now. They may have been friends with him at the past but that was it. The past. He betrayed them and got many good demigods killed at both sides.
("Back in… "Ambrosia.")
"Best food, ever!" Leo exclaimed, then have a dreamy look on his face. The demigods and gods have dreamy look on their faces while the goddesses shook their heads.
("Yeah. You...Yorker, right?")
"Yeah, like every New Yorker knows about a giant castle up on the Empire State Building, hiding in the mist." Nico said sarcastically. Annabeth blush. She been not really been thinking that day.
("Oh, sure...that out.)
"Good choice," Thalia said wisely with Grover nodding in agreement. There haves been times they tried to correct Annabeth and that left them thoroughly embarrassed and humiliated. Rule number one, never challenge a child of Athena in intellect, especially if that wisdom child is Annabeth.
("Right after...be trouble.)
"What's going on?" Zeus demanded, "I have to right to know! I am the king of the gods!" Athena, Hephaestus, Artemis, Hestia, Naruto and Hades eyes widen. Something stolen, Zeus and Poseidon angry, Zeus trying to kill Percy, the title, the Lightning Thief, it all makes sense. The master bolt been stolen.
The demigods saw this and silently pleaded for them not to tell Zeus. Athena was about tell anyway, but a look from the other gods made her rethink and kept her mouth shut. She do not need five angry gods after her, she wisely thought.
(When you...with Poseidon.)
"Which is one of the reason why you shouldn't be dating the sea spawn," Athena said, but Annabeth ignore her in favor for the story.
(But, I...more questions.)
"That's Percy for you," Hazel said with a smile, "Always want to help someone." There are many nods in agreement for those who know Percy. Percy blush at that, making Annabeth giggle. Seaweed brain is so cute.
("I've got...battle plan.)
"I was," Annabeth admitted sheepishly. It was one of the habits she growed up with with.
(Back at...as troublemakers.)
The Stolls, Chris, and Hermes eyes twinkle in mischief making a few of the others sweat. What are those for planning?
(Thankfully, nobody...was intact.)
The demigods, except for Piper, Leo, Jason, the Romans, and the old heroes, darken at the mention of Luke name. Luckily, the gods didn't notice while Hermes is excited hearing about his favorite son. The made the Hermes even angrier and feel a little. Luke will always be their father favorite son.
("Found over...stealing part.)
Hermes and his kid look offended by that. No trickster ever kid about stealing something, no matter what.
(I said...in gods.")
Zeus was about to open his mouth, but then he saw the looks his wife, brothers, and Naruto is sending him. Grumbling, he sat down and pouted.
("Yeah,"...any easier.")
"Here, here," All of the demigods said, even Hercules admits that a demigod life is not all that good. That made the gods and goddesses feel even worse.
(The bitterness...about anything.)
The demigods at camp-half blood (except for the lost hero trio) look surprise when they heard that. They thought that Percy resented him from the beginning, but it seem that Percy admire him a little. Percy saw the looks and sigh., Now they'll see why he hated Luke so much, other than that crazy love triangle between him, Annabeth, and Luke.
("So your...gut me,)
"Probably was thinking about it," Thalia muttered venomously with the others nodding in agreement. Jason, Piper, Leo, and the Romans sent the Greek demigods a cautious look. They hate Luke this much?
(but he...messenger guy.")
"Why?!" Hermes cried out in anguish, "Why must everyone make that comparison!?" Some of the gods laugh while some others gave him a sympathetic look.
("That's him...he sponsors.")
"How dare he?!" Thalia yelled out. She basically called Percy and many unclaimed demigods nobodies. The baby in her hand, snuggle up into her, calming her down and making her smile at baby Percy. He just too cute.
(I figured...his mind.)
Everyone look at Percy in surprise while Percy shift uncomfortably in his seat when he saw the looks.
Finally, Annabeth found her voice and spoke for everyone who know Percy, "You really thought good things about him in the beginning?" Percy just nodded his head and didn't say a word. Annabeth feel guilty now. She thought that Percy just had blinded rage when it come to Luke and didn't really saw the good side of him. She thought that Percy didn't understand Luke. She is being prove wrong each chapter.
("You've ever… "Once.")
Hermes wince at that. He made a big mistake back then. Hopefully, he can get another chance with Luke.
(Luke looked...each other.")
"I like it better when Percy say it, It's actually true." Travis whispered so the gods won't here. Many nodded in agreement, even Annabeth agreed with that statement.
(He seemed...all day.)
"So you Luke, Chiron, and Grover was the only one that been nice to Percy in that camp?" Naruto said in disbelief. Seriously, the guy who betrayed camp half blood is kinder any of the other campers? Some of the campers who been there at the time rub their head sheepishly while some look down in guilt, especially Annabeth. She did heal him when he was unconscious, but that was only by the order of Chiron.
She been rude to him while introducing him to the other campers, didn't bother to help him when he was bully by Clarisse, and treated him like an idiot. At least she change over the years, well except when Percy was missing. She scared every demigod over there with her anger, even the Ares kids was more cautious around her.
(I decided...hate prophecies.")
So do we," Percy, Annabeth, and Clarisse said in unision, shivering at their meeting with the Oracle.
"Hey!" Apollo cried out, "Prophecies are awesome!" The demigods disagree with that.
"No they're not," Percy spoke for everyone. "Most of the prophecies we recieve got people endanger. Also, the Oracle back then was extremely creepy and I still have chills seeing it." Annabeth and Clarisse nod in agreement. Apollo huff, but stay quiet. He still think prophecies are awesome.
(He twisted...the camp.")
"Somebody special indeed," Chris teased Percy and Annabeth, making the couple blush heavily.
("Somebody special?"...waiting for.)
"I do not!" Annabeth cried out. The Stolls, Chris, Will, Katie and Chris sent her a look that says 'really?' making her huff.
(The moment...one before.)
"A minor power," Poseidon explained to the others, "He can tell what anything is from shells to fish. What live in the ocean and ocean facts." Some of them look amaze at by that while Athena frown in jealousy. Out of all her wisdoms, she had barely knowledge of the sea.
(Luke yelled...hanging off.)
"Mental image!" Apollo, Hermes, Thalia, Nico, Leo, and the Stolls cried out in anguish, covering there eyes. Percy glare at the book. Must it give every detail?
(I saw…like Mr. D.)
Dionysus have a small smile at the mention of his son while Percy flinch in guilt. Annabeth rub his shoulder and whisper to him that it wasn't his fault. It help some, but not a lot.
(Chiron stood...her friends.)
Frank kept muttering in disbelief that these are his Greek brother and sisters while Hazel rub in shoulder in comfort.
(Finally, Chiron...the gods!")
"To us!" Apollo cheered, but then got hit in arm by a couple of arrows. Apollo wince and sat down, pulling out the arrows. Artemis is still mad at him.
(Wood nymphs...of course.")
Dionysus pouted at that. A part of him, a small part of him, admits that it was own fault, but he is still upset about his loss of alcohol.
(I said...Cherry Coke.")
Sally smile at Percy, who smile back. He will love blue food, now and forever.
(The soda...my mother.)
Everyone look down at the reminder while Sally shiver at the reminder. Poseidon put an arm around her in comfort. The mother blush, but didn't push away. It would hurt Poseidon if she did.
(She's not...then someday)
Poseidon groan and went in his hand. His son is going to the underworld, he just know it. The sea cannot be contain and all of his kids are as stubborn as him.
("Here you...smoked brisket.)
Apollo and Hermes drool at the thought of a brisket. "I'm hungry!" Herme whine, getting some disbelieving looks from the goddesses.
"You just had lunch!" Hera exclaimed for all of them.
"You're point?" Apollo said, making them facepalm and some sweatdrop.
(I loaded...or something.)
"I wish," Leo whined, disappointed at the fact there are no dessert there. The other guys nodded their head in agreement, making the girls shake their head. Men.
("Come on,"...the smell.")
"Yes we do," Apollo said, all the other gods and goddesses nodding in agreement. Except for Naruto.
("You're kidding."...burning food.)
"That what I wonder as well," Naruto said, "I still live on without getting a burnt offering from the gods. Also, why should the demigods sent a burnt offering to the gods, unless they help you or you're asking for help? It not like you gods earn it." Most of the gods rub their head sheepishly. They shouldn't expect their children to send them a burnt offering every time, it really don't sound fair.
(Luke approached… "Hermes.")
Hermes smile when Luke sacrificed to him. When he saw his other kids, he saw the darken looks. Hermes frowned. Why are they angry? Is it because they're jealous of look?
(I was...me. Please.)
Poseidon winced. He couldn't tell Percy till the time is right. He hope that time is soon though.
(I scrape...that smoke.)
"Tried before," Apollo admitted sheepishly, "A bet from Hermes to see if we could really could. After a couple of months, I dig inside my fridge and ate a lot of ambrosia."
Some of the demigods laugh while others stare at Apollo in disbelief. Apollo wasn't that stupid was he? First, he try to live off smell and secondly, he betted against the person who gamble all his life, literally.
(When everybody...Ares table.)
Ares cheered as well while Clarisse groan and bury her head in Chris's shoulder. She doesn't know what is more embarrassing. Losing to Percy in a swordfight or losing by toilet water.
("Personally," Mr. D...Peter Johnson.")
"It's amazing that Mr. D stubbornly get even the simplest of names wrong," Will said, with the other campers nodding in agreement. Dionysus just continued to read his wine magazine.
(Chiron murmured...was home.)
"Glad you did," Annabeth murmured. "I'm sorry I was rude to you those years ago." Percy just kiss her forehead in response, silently telling not to worry about it.
(Later in...new home.)
"Briefly?" Poseidon say in worry, "What do you mean briefly?" Percy look away, but feel glad that Poseidon worries for him and shows it. The other demigods feel a pang of jealousy when they saw worried Poseidon is, but most of the got rid of it. If there is anyone who deserve such parents, it's Percy. Leo, Piper, Theseus, and Perseus are liking him as much as the other demigods. Jason still feel conflicted while Hercules, Octavious, and Orion dislike Percy very much.
"I'm done," Will said, closing the book. "Who's next?"
"I will," Thalia volunteered, handing the baby to Rachel and opening the book.
"Chapter 8: We Capture the Flag…"
And, that's the end. If people notice my bashing of some of the gods, you know how I feel about the gods abandoning their kids.
