Mutant Havoc

"Well these guys don't seem to take a break." Rouge stated as she looked around the demolished area of Casiopolis, having been ordered by the Commander to investigate the distress signal given from the team that was sent to look out for any alien activity that might appear in the bright and flashy gambling city. Many of the buildings either had large craters in their sides or had crumpled in upon themselves from the force of whatever had struck it. Large footprints dented the roads, separating by the occasional ditch that formed by something large and heavy dragging along the gravel.

"This doesn't look like the devastation that they caused to the other two cities." Amy stated as she examined the destruction, "This seems more like the work of one creature, and if there were more then where are they."

"You're right; the people stated that there was one large creature that flew down from the sky. They said it had black scales, four arms, and several white horns that wrapped around his head. Some even said they saw Sonic and an orange Sharpscale riding it." Shadow stated as he came to a halt before the two girls, having sped around the area doing damage control and gaining info on what was the cause of this incident.

"That sounds like that Grendor fellow; he seemed too nice to be this destructive." the pink hedgehog commented.

"He was blindfolded when they showed up, and when Sonic took it off he went into some uncontrollable rampage And basically wrecked this part of the city." The black hedgehog answered, "but Sonic and that other Sharpscale disappeared right after Grendor went ballistic, but do believe that Racko sat this one out."

"Who's the other guy than."

"It doesn't matter at the moment, blue's still has to be in the city somewhere, he wouldn't leave that giant alien behind." Rouge stated as she looked in the distant where the carnage led, seeing lights sparking before shutting off and a loud roar echoed through her sensitive ears.

"I bet they're here for the chaos emeralds, that's about the only other reason that the city isn't destroyed yet, or why there isn't a larger invasion plan."

"I think we should split up; I'll go after Sonic and his companion while you two stop Grendor from wrecking the rest of the city. Radio me when you're done." Shadow stated before dashing off in the opposite direction of the carnage. Amy and Rouge turned back to where the devastation and loud roars were coming from, watching as a bulding crumpled on itself until it was out of their view.

"Well come on Pinky, we got a giant lizard to calm down." Rouge stated as she unfurled her wings and flew toward the wreckage. Amy sighed as she followed in hasty pursuit.

"This feels like some scene from a Godzilla movie; I hope Tails gets back in time from dropping of Knuckles and the Chaotix."

"Small creatures return to the island of mutants, and they return with other friends, why?" the large prehistoric-like mutant stated. His long neck strained out of the water as yellow eyes looked down at the plane. While both Tails and Knuckles were calm at the creature's sudden appearance as he broke through the surface of the churning sea below, the Chaotix's reaction to the creature varied between each member.

Espio years of ninjitsu training allowed him to keep a tranquil face as Snap appeared; however, one of his hands reaching down for one of his shuriken was a sign that the purple chameleon was wary of the large mutant. The green croc gave a more expecting reaction, nearly panicking at the sudden water-spout and the yellow eyes looking down at him. He could be seen gripping the seat in the back of the X-Tornado, trying to calm his racing heart when he realized the mutant was friendly, much to his liking. Charmy's reaction was completely unexpected, much like the bee himself, seeming rather impressed than being scared out of his six-year old mind.

"Wow, are all the mutants this cool and nice. I don't see why everyone so scared of this island. This must be the coolest place on Mobius." he stated excitedly, his small wings fluttering as he hovered slightly in his seat.

"Not now Charmy." Espio stated to hush the hyperactive insect.

"Snap, we need to find some info on Sonic and his experimentation before the Sharpscales take over the planet." Snap cocked his head in mild confusion.

"Only Terry and Reptin knows where the last fully functional base of Christmas Island is." Knuckles face-palmed at the mention of the two currently most dangerous mutants that he and the others had met.

"Great, just what we needed. The two beings who can help bus get Sonic on our side just happen to either be a flying menace or some freaky combination of every reptile that existed." Snap blinked, not understanding the situation, before letting out a booming laugh. A screech echoed through the skies as Tails and the echidna looked up with slight worry.

"That Terry is one of the nicest guys I know; Terry goes insane only when Terry is really hungry. Terry the Flyer is smartest of Lewis experiments."

"Wait, there are two Terry's on that messed up island." Snap nodded his head vigorously, water dripping down his scaly hide and onto the unfortunate echidna who had taken the plane's wing once more.

"Terry the Hunter is second most smartest; Terry's brain pattern was transformed, giving Terry the instinct of an animal and the intellectual of a mad genius. Terry is most dangerous mutant on Christmas Island. All other mutants follow Terry's order, bringing all prey they find to him. The other Terry is the only creature that defies his orders."

"Wait, so if he rules the land, who exactly rules the water of the island?" the fox asked.

"Chompers does. Chompers is three times larger than Snap is. Chompers is quite friendly, but has a short-temper like your echidna friend."

"Hey, I am not short-tempered." Knuckles stated as he lifted one hand from the wing of the plane, shaking it in anger at the comment. Snap gave a small chuckle as he turned to dive back into the water once more.

"Chompers wish to bring you help so Chompers is sending the Lobster Brothers as help along with a pound of fish, just in case Terry is hungry. Snap wish you luck on your quest once more and hope friends find what they need." He then dived into the rough water once more.

"Ah, finally, all these years I finally get to use him." Eggman stated as he watched the wooden crate lower to the ground in front of him. Decoe and Bocoe walked up to it, each with a crow bar, and begin to pry off the front part of the crate.

"Ah Omega," He watched with a growing grin as the red and black robot's optics flashed red, indicating that the robot was online, "I order you to travel to Christmas Island and collect the all data on Sonic and bring it back to me."

"That is not what I created for. You created me to destroy Sonic the hedgehog. I have not waited a year stuck in that crate to be sent on a recon mission." Omega stated as he stepped forward, the metal piece above his optics folded down to give him the appearance of glaring at his creator.

"And you were created to follow all of my orders." Eggman replied, causing the robot to 'flinch' slightly at the angry tone, "I can easily have you dismantled or locked up for another year, so you listen to me and go get that data immediately." Omega muttered slightly as he walked away toward the pad underneath the hatch in the ceiling. Activating his jets, he blasted off, the hatch opening seconds before he ended up crashing through it and closed immediately after.

"Troublesome bot, when he gets back I'm going to have the fix that personality patch in him." the mad scientists stated with a small scowl as he looked at the hatch before proceeding to his chair.

"Sir, we have a report that the Sharpscales are causing trouble in Casinopolis, and Shadow and his friends are already there." Decoe stated as Eggman sat in the metal revolving chair, turning to face his robotic lackey.

"How many?"

"Uh, mainly one sir, but it's gigantic." Eggman turned back toward the large computer screen as a live video of the destruction of Casinopolis. The golden robot was right, it was only one alien reptile, one humongous alien reptile. It stomped around the downtown area of the city, crushing the cars and the unfortunate people who got in its way. Four clawed hands lashed out at the nearby flashing buildings, ribbing out the signs and tearing out pieces of the buildings. Its muscular tail struck the sides of the buildings with enough impact to either leave larger craters in them or force them to crumple in upon themselves. The creature let out a loud roar, making nearby windows crack and break.

"Interesting, and what are those pests doing?"

"The spy cams show that they're trying to cut all the lights in the cities, seems like Grendor, the name of the giant alien, had went berserk because of the bright lights. I think it's advised to avoid harming him as injuring the alien would result in angering the hedgehog. Also that Sonic and another Sharpscale are in the city, possibly trying to find a chaos emerald located there."

"Send Tracktron to get the Chaos emeralds, and you too Bokkun." the black robot gasped in slight panic, never really into getting into fights and simply causing a bit of mischief wherever he goes.

"Wha...why me?"

"I need you to give the hedgehog a message, a little deal he should find to his liking."

"Egrend, do you know where you're going?" the blue hedgehog stated as he followed the orange Sharpscale through the deserted streets.

"Of course I do. It's just that this device has a hard time picking up the energy signal without any sample of a similar energy signature." Egrend had stated as he looked at the tracker in his hand. The device gave an occasional beep with a dot appearing on the screen, but the location always changed or the device would fritz up with the program of trying to find the chaos energy signature. Sonic glared at the orange Sharpscale in mild annoyance. The alien looked back when he noticed the hedgehog stop in his track, raising a rigid eyebrow in slight confusion, "What?"

Sonic's only response was to raise one of his hands, making it glow as he was enveloped in chaos energy.

"Duh, of course." He hit his head with slight shame at the realization, forgetting that the mutant had the ability to summon up some chaos energy, "I forgotten about your unique ability of controlling chaos energy. Hold this for a moment, it should be able to find the emerald after direct contact to the energy."

"I don't think that's a good idea." Egrend gave a small puff off air before giving the hedgehog the tracker.

"Don't worry, that device is a state-of-the-art technology, the best of the Sharpscale-what's happening with the tracker?" his orange eyes widening in slight worry as he saw the device make crackling sounds in the hedgehogs hand, glowing slightly before parts of the gears popped out from the contact of the energy," Wha...what in Grakandor's name is happening to it?"

"I thought so, Eggman had told me that the chaos energy can disrupt a machine's function, especially if it's not prepared in advance."

"So now how are we supposed to find it?" the blue hedgehog gave a mischievous smirk.

"Simple, we wait for them to find it for us." He pointed northwest toward the scattered buildings in the distant followed by a large dumb, "The reoccurring dots indicated that it's in that general direction. We go there we're bound to find one of those annoying pests or even the fat human eventually. When we have the emerald you can possibly build a better device, if you have the intellectual mind to do so."

"It would be easier if we already knew the exact location of any other chaos emerald."

"Yeah," Sonic drawled out as he began walking once more, "It's not like any of us know where the other six emeralds are." Egrend never noticed the mischief grin that appeared on the hedgehog's peach muzzle.
