Hello readers. Welcome to my new chapter. For those who don't know about it, I'm holding up a poll of which story I should do next after I finish one of the stories I'm doing and the "Maelstrom of Cocoon" challenge (Final Fantasy XIII and Naruto crossover). If you want to check it out, you can. Also, on this chapter, Naruto will be ranting once again and Zeus will attempt to kill Percy once again. There's seem to be a pattern in that. So enjoy.

Athena's Idiotic Punishment
"Chapter 11: We Visit The Garden Gnome Emporium…" Athena reads. Percy, Annabeth, and Grover cast each other worried looks. They wonder how will Poseidon and Athena will react to seeing Medusa.
(In a...out there,)
"He like us!" Apollo cheerly stated while the other gods are surprised. Since Percy didn't show them any respect to some of them, it was surprising for him to think that.
"Wait for it." All of Percy's friends responded simultaneously. They all know that Percy would rarely say anything good about the gods. In a whole anyway.
(because you...go wrong.)
That deflated Apollo real fast while Zeus and Athena felt their prided getting a hit. Zeus glare at Percy and resist the urge to hit with a lightning bolt, which is getting harder and harder to do. But it was less hard with Naruto, Fuu, and Poseidon, holding their weapon in front of them.
Jason resist the urge to facepalm. How did his dad not kill Jackson? He too many stupid comments to the gods to survive all this time. Though a very small part of him agree with Percy.
(For instance...your day.)
"He got a point." Naruto pointed out, before the most prideful gods and goddesses could speak. "Most, if not all of the Olympians, put the demigods and/or mortals in danger. Like Zeus shooting thunder and lightning on cities. Athena creating different monsters as some kind of punishment. Poseidon creating sea storms and tsunamis. Even my little Arte and her hunters killing men or turn them into jackalope for accidently getting into her territory." Naruto gave her and the hunters a stern stare, telling them that he doesn't approve of that.
Artemis squirm under dad's stare, feeling some nervousness and a little guilt. But she still felt the need to defend herself. "But daddy, those men didn't have the right to go into my territory and know some of the are-"
"That no excuse." Fuu cut off, joining her husband in the talk. "Some of them may be arrogant and assholes, but some may be good people with family. Me and Naruto will talk about it more with you and the hunters." Artemis and the hunters shivered. Naruto can give some scary punishment, especially with his wives planning with him.
Meanwhile, Athena and Zeus fume once again while Poseidon has the decency to look sheepish. Other gods and goddesses shifted uncomfortably, knowing they have a part on messing up demigods' and mortals' lives.
(So there...the fight-")
"You're blaming him for helping you?" Piper asked, a little incredulous. "If he didn't help you guys, you and Grover would've ended up dead." Annabeth blush, but turned away, not wanting to admit she needed help while Grover shiver at the thought of what those three would've done with them if Percy didn't help them.
("What did...been fine.")
"Sure," Perseus said sarcastically. "Being cornered by three kindly ones, with only a knife and a bag of tin cans as weapons is an example of fine." Annabeth bury her head in Percy's chest in embarrassment. How many stupid and prideful things she said all those years? Hearing them in the book is making her a little, if not a lot, embarrassed.
(Sliced...said Annabeth.)
"Now, now, don't get into a hissy fit just because Grover is right." Thalia teased. She dodge a pillow Annabeth thrown at her and stuck her tongue out childishly.
(Grover brayed...tin cans.")
"It's look like Fauns and Satyrs having a few things in common." Frank observed, but before he could say anything else, three metal shards was thrown and landed on the couch he's sitting, all near his head. Frank shakily look to where the shards were thrown and saw Grover, with a murderous look on his face and a tin can with some of the aluminum missing from it.
"Compare me to them and I won't miss." Grover said lowly, his anger showing in his voice. Frank nodded his head rapidly like a bobble head. Never thought a Satyr would that scary was most of the demigods' thoughts while Jason, Piper, and Leo are reminded of Coach Hedge.
(We sloshed...really brave.")
"Percy can face anything out there for the sake of his friend." Rachel said, causing the boy to blush in embarrassment. "He can face a thousand monsters and not flinch, for the sake of his friends." The boy turn even redder, causing the girl to giggle.
Athena frown. Despite the fact that she's grateful the Sea Spawn save her daughter, his loyalty is dangerous and will get him killed. A part of her cheered at that fact, wanting the spawn to die.
("We're a...real world.")
"I didn't mean it like that." Annabeth quickly said before anyone else would. She realize how it sounded before anyone else did. "I was worried about his safety as well. I'm not using him as a scapegoat." She gave Thalia, Nico, Leo, and the Stolls a pointed look at that. The five of them pouted. They were about to tease her about it.
(The thunderstorm...stop her.)
Athena is really worried now. What happen at Annabeth's house that cause her to run away? She hope the book tells her why.
("At camp...or not.")
"And you and Percy showed that the both of you are good. More than that." Thalia complimented the two. "Apart, you two are powerful. But together, almost nothing can defeat you guys." Annabeth and Percy blush, but smile at each other. They are team, no matter what.
(If I...her voice.)
"Doubt?" Travis said in shock.
"From Annabeth?" Connor continued for his brother. Then the two look at each in horror and simultaneously said, "It's the end of the world!"
"Hey Katie, could you…"
"No problem." Katie hit the two upside the head, causing a chorus of "OWW!" from the two.
("You're pretty...might've smiled.)
"I did." Annabeth confirmed to the others and Percy. "Thanks for cheering me back then." Percy merely nodded and smile at her, tightening his grip on her waist. If Reyna and Rachel knew how to use killing intent, they would probably use it right about now.
("You know...being tortured.)
Athena hands tighten on her throne at that part. She remember smugglers capturing owls and torturing them for fun. The bastards.
("Hey, my...Grover cried.)
"Hey!" Grover cried out while everyone, except Athena of course, laugh at the comparison Percy made with Grover's music. Said Satyr pouted. He's not that bad!
("If I...my head.)
Everyone laugh at that while Percy blush and then groan, holding his head in pain. Stupid book. Stupid curse. Stupid reed pipe.
(Add to...infrared vision.)
"Makes up for all the other powers you have." Thalia pointed out. "Controlling water, healing, restoring your energy by water, natural swordsmanship. The list goes on." Jason scowl at that.
(After tripping...double cheeseburger.)
Demeter wrinkle her nose at that, "That is very unhealthy." The harvest goddess said in disgust. "You should eat cereal. It's better for you." Everyone either roll their eyes or groan. Zeus regretted showing Demeter cereal when it was invented.
(We kept...GOMEN MEPROUIM.)
"Aunty Em's Garden Gnome Emporium." Fuu translated the words, causing others to look at her in surprise. Seeing the looks, she explain herself. "I learn how to read things like that when dealing with dyslexic people."
("What the...dyslexic, too.)
"Don't worry Perce, you're not the only one." Thalia said, shaking her head. "One point or another, we all forget that the children of Athena are dyslexic."
(Grover translated...she agreed.)
"The first time you guys you ever agreed on something." Thalia said, grinning at them.
Nico grin, finishing up for Thalia. "And many more to come." The two couple blush heavily at that. Thalia and Nico grin at each other, ignoring the warm feeling they having. This book is an opening for teasing those two.
("Are you...ignored him.)
"Sorry about that Grover." Annabeth apologized to the goat. "We should have listened to you. Otherwise, we wouldn't be in this mess." When she said that, Poseidon and Athena look worried. What did their kids walking into this time?
(The front...Uncle Ferdinand!")
Grover look down at the mention of his late uncle. Juniper grab his hand and squeeze it softly, silently comforting him. Grover smile at his girlfriend, silently thanking her for her support.
Meanwhile, Perseus, Athena, and Poseidon narrow their eyes. It couldn't be her, would it?
("Don't knock...told him.)
"Never thought I see the day that Annabeth isn't doing something logical." Rachel teased, causing Annabeth to glare at her. Rachel glare back and if it was possible, lightning would probably be in the middle of those two.
Octavion sneer at the child of Athena, "That's why greek is not fit to fight, especially the ones who are the goddess of cra-" Before he know it, a bronze sword, a imperial spear, and a bronze knife nearly hit his head, but was embedded near his two ears and hair. Octavion look to see three murderous glares from Athena, Percy, and Annabeth.
Naruto and Fuu look at each other. They silently communicate, with Fuu asking if does this happen often. Naruto responded with a sullen nod.
("All I...are vegetables.)
Everyone has a look that says, 'They are?'. They didn't get the memo.
(Come on...at me.")
Poseidon, Athena, and Perseus felt shivers run up their backs. No, it can't be her. It can't be.
"Perseus, are you okay?" Theseus asked his friend in concern. Perseus shook his head and give his cousin a reassuring smile.
"Yeah, I'm okay. I just have a feeling that they are about to face a monster. And that monster is…" Perseus didn't finish his sentence. He still have nightmares about that monster, like all the demigods.
(Then the...beautiful lady.)
Athena paled. She know what exactly who that woman is. Meanwhile, Perseus is starting to be in denial, like Theseus was. But then he remember one of the chapters, explaining that the monsters don't die. They are just sent to Tartarus and then return to the real world.
(Her accent...I smell?")
"I'll give you a six, since it was your first time lying in a quest and you were under pressure." Hermes said, shaking his head. "But you're not hopeless when it come with the skills of lying."
"Don't worry dad, we'll teach him." Travis and Connor said together, grinning. Although they cower under the glare from Annabeth, Rachel, Reyna, and Sally, the looks saying 'You will not corrupt them'. Man, mothers, girlfriends, and girls who have crushes on guys are scary.
("Oh, my...of kelp.")
"Agreed." Most of his friends said, but wince at the glare Naruto gave them. Naruto really hates insults from anyone who don't deserve it, was the thought of most of the demigods and some of the gods.
(The warehouse...all life-size.)
"Why her, of all the monsters, why her?" Perseus muttered, shaking his breath. Theseus patt his cousin's shoulder in comfort, knowing how hard it is to know that the monster you killed is still alive. Hercules scoff at his brother. Pathetic.
(But mostly...about food.)
"That woman must have enchanted him somehow." Fuu guessed, with her husband nodding in agreement. "By the smell of food or the area around them, I don't know."
(Go ahead...stuff sometimes.)
"Like Leo?"
"Hey!" Leo shouted, playfully glaring at Piper. Piper merely sent a teasing smile back at the boy. Aphrodite squirm in her seat at the cuteness of it while Jason glare at Leo. The latino boy ignored it, however.
(Plus, you...behind us.)
"You didn't notice those things, yet you pointed them out?" Nico pointed out. Percy shrug. It was kinda a little bit of both aware and unaware.
(All I...out front.)
"Wow…" Leo said, with stars in his eyes, imagining that kind of place. Apollo, Hermes, and the Stolls are drooling, imagining that kind of place as well. Artemis, Piper, Katie, and a few other females shook their head at the five boys.
("Awesome," I...Annabeth said.)
"It's amazing how only Grover notice the strangeness of that place." Naruto said, shaking his head. "I'm gonna agree with Fuu and say that food is enchanted, otherwise Percy and Annabeth would've notice something strange by now."
The couple blush. That was an embarrassing time for the both of them.
(Aunty Em...my imagination.)
Athena growl in anger. If that woman touch her daughter, she'll stab that snake with her spear. Naruto roll her eyes at the goddess of 'wisdom'. She must've forgotten that she made the monster.
("Quite all...introduced ourselves.)
Thalia whistled. "That must've been a strong charm if Annabeth didn't notice that little detail." Annabeth and Percy immediately nodded in agreement. It was strong. And they were hungry.
(Our hostess...French fries.)
Everyone heard a rumble in the the room and they all turn to Apollo, Hermes, Leo, and the Stolls, look like they haven't i
Hestia sigh and said, "After this chapter, we'll each lunch." The two gods and the three demigods cheered at that, making everyone shake their head.
(I was...he asked.)
By now, more people figure out who it was. The list are Naruto, Fuu, Artemis, Hestia, Poseidon, Athena, Perseus, Theseus, Rachel, Reyna, Thalia, Nico, Chris, Will, Katie, Jason, Piper, Sally and Clarisse.
"Oh styx." Thalia muttered, thinking of every swear word there is in her mind. How did Percy survive this?
(I listened...my ears.")
Before Leo could ask, Grover quickly answered the question. "No I do not take vitamins. What was I suppose to tell her, I'm a satyr?"
("That's admirable...us eat.)
"Okay, that's kinda creepy." Naruto said. "If this woman isn't a monster, I will say she's a pedophile." Naruto shiver a little, having a personal hatred for pedophile and snakes, the same as his adopted hunter daughter. Damn snake teme.
(It was...our hostess.)
"Yep, the food is definitely charmed." Reyna whispered, feeling a little worried for Percy, along with Rachel. The two wasn't there so they didn't know what happen at that time. Add to the fact that Percy can feel anything that happen in this book, the two have a right to be worried, along with the others that care for Percy.
Speaking of that cursed, Percy feeling a little droopy. Damn. He can feel the charmed put on that food.
("So, you...sound interested.)
"I didn't work." Annabeth said, shaking her head. "It sounded forced, than anything." Percy blush in embarrassment and scratch his head sheepishly. He got better at it though.
("Oh, yes...I get.")
"I bet she does." Annabeth muttered darkly, remembering all those innocent people that got turn into stone. She is really mad at Medusa for making others suffer and at her mother for making the monster in the first. While Poseidon and Medusa was being disrespectful, the punishment she set for Medusa made other suffer as well. Percy made her see that.
(My neck...even terrified.)
Naruto growled in anger. What he hates the most is children being hurt or killed for no goddamn reason at all. It's why he help any demigod when they need it the most or rescue them and hide them from the monsters and gods.
Meanwhile, most of the people figure out who the monster is and worried. Poseidon turn to Percy in worry. "Percy, please don't tell me that you are not facing Medusa?" Percy look away from his dad, telling everyone that it is what they think it is.
Sally clutch baby Percy in her lap, extremely worried for her son. Some of the demigods wonder if Percy will get harmed on this chapter. Because if he does, they know what will happen.
Perseus bit his thumb in worry. The only reason he defeated Medusa is because she was asleep. His cousin will have no such advantage. He wonder how Percy will survive this encounter.
Zeus immediately thought that Percy will lose, with Jason and Hercules thinking the same thing. Perseus couldn't kill her without her sleeping, no one in greek history can. What are the chances of this demigod doing it?
("Ah," Aunty...the face.")
"That because you scare the crap out of them." Connor stated, with everyone agreeing with the prankster. How else would you react to green skin, snake hair lady?
("You make...for her.)
"No wonder she is like that." Perseus muttered. "Losing her sisters and turning into that would change anyone." Some agreed with that statement. Athena, however, scoffed. That woman deserved what she got.
(Annabeth had… "Two sisters?")
"Finally!" All of Annabeth's friend said out loud. They thought Annabeth would going to miss all of the signs, which would very un-Annabeth like. Annabeth blush in embarrassment. She never going to live that time down.
("It's a...was young.)
"JEALOUS?!" Athena raged, her eyes storming. Meanwhile, Poseidon gag at the thought of being with Athena. He would do that as soon as Zeus stopped cheating on Hera. Which would be never.
Annabeth and Percy turn green at the thought of their godly parents dating each other. That would would extremely awkard and disturbing, since the two of them are dating.
(I had...us apart.)
Poseidon groaned. If there is one thing he regret, it's dating that woman. If that didn't happen, a lot of people would've survive and him and Athena would probably wouldn't being hissing at each other.
(She caused...a price.")
"A price that cause the suffering of many people." Naruto stated, staring at Athena. Athena look away, not wanting to admit that she did wrong. It was a good punishment for that vile woman.
(I wasn't...so nice?)
"I take back what I thought. Every word of it." Percy said, shaking his head. "That punishment may have been too far, but she cause the suffering of many. She's not nice at all." He ignore the glare Athena gave him when he say that the punishment was too far.
"Agreed." Perseus muttered, holding his forehead to push back a headache. Why her? Why her? He keep repeating those two words in his head.
("Percy?" Annabeth...be waiting.")
Thalia gave her friend an incredulous look. "Why are you continuing the lie? You know that Medusa know that the two of you are demigods and Grover is a satyr." Annabeth furrow her eyebrows. She didn't really know why she did it. Must've been the nerves back then.
(She sounded...say anything.)
"She definitely knows that Grover is a satyr." Thalia deadpanned. Ah, goat boy. You never fail to get nervous about anything.
("Such beautiful...like those.")
Annabeth shiver, remembering the sickly sweetness in that voice. Percy squeeze Annabeth waist, silently comforting her. The girl relax and snuggle into her boyfriend. She didn't see the envious glares of two girls.
(She reached...a while.)
Percy was aware of the glare being sent by Athena. He thought he might get glared at by Annabeth and/or Grover, gods know he earned it, but he was surprised the two didn't.
("Please, dears...loves children.")
Athena and Poseidon growled and pulled out their respectives weapons, a golden spear and the trident. Annabeth and Percy look at each other before rolling their eyes. Naruto and Fuu did the same as well. For overprotective parents, they don't do much when their children are endanger.
(Annabeth shifted...the harm?")
Athena growl and glare at Percy. Poseidon gave her a warning look, but she ignored it. "I swear seaspawn, if she get hurt because of you, I will smite you!" Percy shiver, but feel guilty of putting his friends in endanger. But Annabeth was having none of it and glare at her mother.
"Don't put the blame on him mom!" Annabeth said fiercely, "She would've force us to stay or grab us. And beside, it's both our fault since we BOTH agreed." Athena was shock, but stayed silent. No matter what she think, her daughter's logic is correct.
("Yes, Annabeth...large smile?")
Poseidon and Athena growled some more. They want to blast that woman to Tartarus, but they couldn't since Zeus would have a fit and they can't get out of Olympus for a while.
(She still...lady's voice.)
"He's in a full trance." Artemis murmured, a little worried for the boy. Some of the more nicer hunters are worried as well for Percy, Annabeth, and Grover as well. Meanwhile, Percy she tried to fight off the fatigue he's feeling.
Hercules sneer at Percy, "I can't believe you fell for a stupid trick."
"Says the idiot who got himself trapped in the sky." Percy shot back at the muscle head. Hercules scowl and glare at him while everyone laugh, especially Zoe, Naruto, and Artemis.
("I will...the bench.)
"Thank you Annabeth." Poseidon and Sally said in relief. Poseidon spoke up, "I wonder how many times you have to save him."
"As many times he saved me and many others." Annabeth immediately replied. Every demigod that know Percy nodded in agreement. Percy had to save them at least one time.
Piper look at the group with a bit of shock in her eyes. Everyone at camp and most of the romans here admitted that Percy had to save them, even Clarisse admitted that she was saved by him. Wow. The group put a lot of trust in Percy and from what she read in the book, she can't blame them. And this just a couple of chapters from the first book.
(I was… "No! Don't!")
"Very heroic of the great Percy Jackson." Jason said sarcastically. "So far, I only see Annabeth and Grover saving him over and over and him doing stupid and unorthodox." He got glares from many. Jason scowl. Everyone is so ready to defend Percy.
"You forget that Percy defeated a fury, the minotaur, and a bunch of Ares kids." Rachel said to fiercely to the male Grace. "Also, he saved Grover's life from the minotaur and both Annabeth's and Grover's from the furies." Jason scowl even more, but stayed quiet. He could point out that Percy use his powers, but then Piper or Leo will mention that he uses his power. It would be hypocritical of him.
(I couldn't...look up.")
Percy turn a bit green at the memory of Medusa calling him handsome while Annabeth let out a growl. You can see Rachel and Reyna glaring at the book with fury.
(I fought…like serpents.)
Naruto, Artemis, and Apollo shiver at the thoughts of snakes. Snakes. The bane of their existence.
(Aunty Em...so stupid?)
"You didn't know!" Octavion said in mock horror. Then sneered. "You are that stupid." Percy scowl at him, but before he could say anything, a bunch of tree sap hit him straight on the mouth. Octavion blink. Then did it again. And then try to get off with little effort. After the fail attempt, he started screaming out profanity. Luckily, you can only hear muffle from here.
Everyone turn to where the the sap was thrown and look to see Fuu whistling innocently. When she saw all eyes on her, she smile. "I was tired of the boy yapping his mouth, so I shut him up. Anyone one that acts like a jerk will do the same." She said that with a creepy smile and some killing intent add in it, making the jerks stay quiet.
Naruto shook his head in fondness. That is one of thing he love about Fuu. She won't take any shit from anyone.
(Think, I...the myth?)
"She was asleep when I defeated her." Perseus murmured, worry about how his cousin will get out of this. Because Medusa is far from asleep.
(But I…my face.)
"More likely, she want to turn you into stone and then use you as a play toy." Travis commented lightly. Percy turn several shades of green at that while Annabeth, Rachel, Reyna, Clarisse, Hazel, and Thalia growled.
("The Gray...into this.")
"She deserve it." Athena sniffed, "You should've have never insult a goddess." The demigods shook their head, along with Hestia, Naruto, and Fuu.
"You Olympians are too powerful prideful and stubborn for your own good." Naruto muttered, causing some glares from the most prideful ones, some indigenous looks from others, a few sheepish ones, and a blushing Artemis. She admit that she and her hunter are too prideful sometimes, something that her dad trying to stop. It's a slow process though. "I mean, an insult from a little mortal and you get into a hissy fit. I mean, what does a human's word worth to you? They don't know you and you're not close the people you kill or turn to monsters."
Some of the gods admit that Naruto has a point. What does a mortal's word worth to them? The other gods just scoff, thinking that he would never understand.
("Don't listen...not suffer.")
Athena growl and tighten the grip on her spear. If that woman touch her daughter, she will break her.
("No," I...Less pain.")
"I think that's how she got so many demigods." Naruto thought out loud. The others look at Naruto, wanting to know what he thinking. "She's play on their feeling. Of how the demigods life is. Trying to survive the next day, doing a quest for the gods, and feeling like their pawns in their games. Most demigods feel that way and Medusa played on those feelings."
Most of the gods felt that same jolt of guilt. This story is hitting them harder and harder. They wonder what's going to be said in the other books.
("Percy!" Behind...one side.)
"Glad you have so much confidence in me." Grover grumbled sarcastically. Percy rub his head sheepishly at that.
"Sorry Grover. Though I'm glad I was wrong though." Percy apologized, with Annabeth nodding at the last part. They are very glad his thoughts were wrong.
(Thwack! At...with rage.)
"Go Grover!" The Stolls cheered out with the other cheering as well. Grover blush at the praise and even more when Juniper kiss his cheek.
("You miserable...yelled back.)
"And for everyone who's been turn to stone." Percy muttered out loud. "The ones who didn't deserved it anyway." Annabeth and Grover nodded in agreement to that. They were glad that they killed that monster.
(I scramble...of here.")
'That kind of attitude isn't what the romans want.' Jason said, scowling. 'So how the hell did Jackson became praetor?' The more he reads this, the more he confuse about Percy Jackson. A part of him can tell that Percy is a nice guy, that he would protect anyone he care for. But like Zeus, he's in denial. Another part of him want to hold on to the doubt that Percy is what everyone say he is.
"That doesn't sound like Prissy." Clarisse pointed out. "We would slice and dice the enemies, not ran."
"Wouldn't you ran, if you face the monsters I did when I first found I was a demigod?" Percy pointed out. "I saw Furies, the Minotaur, a hellhound, and a bunch of angry Ares kids, including you. Seeing Medusa overwhelmed me." All of the demigods wince at that. They forget that Percy faced more hell than any of them combine. The only ones that could probably match that or close to it is Annabeth and Grover.
Poseidon and Sally felt worried for Percy. Poseidon seen Percy face the worst of monsters so far, what is going to face next? Sally already know what Percy faced, but she is worried what he's going to face in the future. With the new prophecy and the fact that he was missing in her timeline. At those thoughts, she hold baby Percy as she could without hurting him. It's was a long time since she could do that.
("Medusa is...the monster.)
Poseidon frowned at what Annabeth did, along with Sally. "Did you really have to play Percy's feeling like that Annabeth?" Sally softly asked the girl. Annabeth frown at the question.
"I didn't want to, but I had to. Like I said in the book, Medusa would continue turning innocents into stone. I didn't want that to happen." Sally and Poseidon conceded at that point. She was right. Medusa was someone that needed to be stopped.
(Annabeth grabbed...factor of-")
"You do realize that none of the demigods, other than your siblings, can understand stand that kind of talk right?" Chris pointed out. Annabeth blush a little. Chris was right about that. It just that she couldn't help, but explain things like that.
("Would you...her directly.")
"Now that what anybody would understand." Chris said. Annabeth and Athena frown at that. It's not natural for them to explain things like that. They feel like they have to give a full explanation. The joys of being a wisdom goddess and the daughter of one.
("Hey guy!"... "Roooaaarr!")
"Or not." Perseus corrected. Inwardly, he was laughing at how Medusa is getting beaten down. Getting hit in the head a flying Satyr with a log as a weapon. It help the anxiousness he's feeling.
("Maybe not,"...eventually crash.")
Annabeth already thought of an argument before Grover could think. "Before you say anything, let me say that there was a lot of statues around the place and you only flew a few times on those shoes. Adding Medusa growing rage, I was confident to say that you would." With that, Grover kept his mouth close.
(I took...painful. "Ummph!")
Everyone wince at that. Ouch, look like Annabeth was right about Grover eventually crashing.
(Medusa was...look worse.)
"No, she's that ugly." Poseidon said, shuddering. He remember seeing Medusa when Athena punished her. He had nightmares for decades.
("You wouldn't...go weak.)
Percy is feeling the same way right now, using his strength to keep his arms at Annabeth's waist, less those arms fall on the forbidden. I mean, it's not they weren't intimate, but he don't want the wisdom goddess trying to blast him to ashes She already tried that once.
(From the...her talons.)
"He's dead now." Dionysus said, turning the page of his wine magazine. "Can we go now?" His answers was water hitting him like a hose being sprayed on him. He glare at Poseidon, but wither under Poseidon's glare.
(I slashed...monster disintegrating.)
It was a silence in the chamber. Some of them have disbelieving looks, some are amazed at what they read. Percy just killed Medusa. First a fury, then the Minotaur, then bunch of Ares kids, then two more furies, and now Medusa? Sure he had help, but wow.
The ones who already knew about it or were there, smile at Percy. Said guy blush at the proud smiles and stun stares he was getting. Why is it such a big deal? Without Annabeth and Grover, he probably wouldn't have died.
Naruto grin at the fact Medusa died, along with Fuu. They are glad Percy killed him. Now no one else have to be forever turn into stone.
The gods were stunned, even Poseidon is a little shocked. No demigod had ever defeated Medusa while she was awake. People either killed her while she's asleep or ran when they got the chance. Percy was probably the first person to defeat her while she's asleep. Zeus is getting more and more paranoid. No demigod this strong should be allow to live. He may not be able to fight a god now, but he might in the future.
The hunters are shock as well. He defeated one of the most famous monsters, yet didn't gain an ounce of arrogance about it. They expected to boast about it right now, but he's blushing in embarrassment and look uncomfortable with the attention. But some shook their head. The book is not over yet.
Jason is stun as well. Not only did Percy defeated a fury, a minotaur, and experienced demigods, but Medusa as well? And the monster wasn't even asleep. He bit his lip. A part knew, just knew, that he was going to lose that bet with Naruto. And that part is growing more and more as the story goes on.
Perseus look at Percy with a shock look. He manage Medusa, the monster who can turn anyone to stone with just the look of the eye. The only reason he defeated her was because she was asleep. Then he smile. He was proud of his cousin.
(Something fell...my shoelaces.)
All the girls and most of the guys turn a little green at the description. Aphrodite summoned a pink bucket and let out her stomach contents in it. Her husband softly patted her back while she release anything that she has eaten for breakfast. After she was done, she smile in thanks to Hephaestus. They didn't see Ares glaring at the Smith God.
Percy grimace, feeling that sensation yet again. The Fates must really hate him or love to mess around with him.
("Oh, yuck,"... "Mega-yuck.")
"I think it's more than mega-yuck." Rachel said, trying to hold in her breakfast. She wasn't the only one.
(Annabeth came...his head.)
Some of the people laugh at that part, either truly thinking it's funny or trying to forget the descriptive detail Percy gave them.
("The red...Not fun.")
"We have no doubt about that." Travis said. His brother Connor tapped his chin in thought. "I wonder if we can do that as a prank." Immediately, they felt Chiron glaring at them.
"Do not even think about you two." The centaur said sternly. The two of them immediately bobbed their head up and down. Chiron is probably the only one Hermes' kids would listen to. Most of the time anyway.
(He snatched...this monster?")
"WHAT?!" Athena yelled, glaring at the sea spawn that dare to blame her. "You blame your father for that! He the one that started it!"
"But did you have to turn her into a monster?" Naruto shot back at Athena. "You know, most of you Olympians feel like you are the victim, but you are the ones that overreacted. You chose to turn Medusa into a monster, blinded by anger and pride. And you refuse to admit that if you didn't turn her into that monster or give her that power in the first place, none of the people would have died in the first place." Athena glare at Naruto, hating being looked like a fool in front of everyone.
"And you haven't made any mistakes?" Athena argued at Naruto. "You so quick to point out our mistakes, you haven't said any yours. I'm sure you made mistakes in the past." Naruto glare heatedly at her, along with Fuu, Hestia, and Artemis.
"We're not talking about my past, we're talking about yours." Naruto said through gritted teeth. "But since you won't let it go, considering your reputation, I'll tell you." Fuu held his shoulder comfortingly, making him a calm down a bit. But he still he continue, though in a less heated voice. "My mistake is trying to save someone that was far from saving. Trying to get him come back home, instead of killing him. If I've had done that, a lot of people would've been saved. And I realize when I was mortal, just before I got the power to become immortal." Naruto stand up to talk more, but Fuu grab his hand.
"Are you going to be okay?" Fuu asked, a little concerned for Naruto. She and the others know about Naruto's anger at the Olympians (except for Artemis of course), so she want to make sure he stay calm. They've seen when his full temper and it wasn't pretty. Naruto nodded at Fuu, silently telling her that he'll be okay. With that, Fuu sat down. Hestia and Artemis sat with Fuu after they got off of Naruto's lap.
"You know that difference between mortals and gods? Most mortals can admit to their mistakes. You gods don't want to admit your mistakes. Most of you don't even try to change your ways. You just stay where at, most of you not caring how much people are suffering because of your pride, your stubbornness, you tempers. Poseidon creating the Minotaur, Athena making Medusa, Zeus destroying planes, and Ares making more goddamn wars."
While he is talking, the gods are feeling mixed emotion. Some feel ashamed of themselves, some are angry at Naruto because they know he's right, or just angry at the accusation that most of things happening on the earth is their fault. The worst part about is that Naruto isn't yelling in anger this time. Zeus was about to yell at him, but he saw the glare of Artemis, Hestia, and Fuu.
Naruto continued, "So let me tell you this. If you don't change your ways, then the the world will be chaotic. And Chaos will probably have no choice, but to intervene." The gods eyes widen when they heard that and some of them paled. Naruto knows Chaos?
Hades developed the courage the courage to speak up. "You know chaos?" Hades said quietly, a little scared. It was a rare feeling, but all the gods have a reason to fear that. Naruto nodded.
"Yes, I do know him." Naruto said. "If you didn't notice, I have the powers of a primmortal. So that makes me one. You've heard the rumors didn't you?" The gods nodded fearfully at that. They did heard that the lords of the demons was a primordial. Most of them just thought they were rumors. Then again, they thought the lord of the demon didn't exist, yet here is. "Good, so you better straighten or I will ask Chaos for permission to straighten you out the hard way" With that, he sat back down on his throne, leaving the others think about what he said.
(Annabeth flashed...a monster.)
"Sorry about saying that. I know now that my mother shouldn't have done that." Annabeth apologized, getting a shock look from Athena. Athena bit her lip. Maybe Naruto and the sea spawn is right if her one of her children is agreeing with them. Then she shook her head. Her mind is conflicted for the first time if she made the right choice that day.
(Medusa and...of him.")
"Were you trying to defend your mother or make him barf?" Fuu joked a little bit. Speaking of Percy, the boy turn green once again at the thought of Medusa wanting him. Why did his dad have to date her? Why?
(My face...the harm?")
"You do realize that you agreed with him at first right?" Hazel pointed out. "And that Percy was put in a trance?" Annabeth blushed. She forgot about those parts.
("Forget it...get migraines.)
"God, you two were annoying at that time." Grover grumbled out. Suddenly, a water ball nailed him in the head, making him dripping wet. His friends laugh while Juniper giggle.
"Meanie!" Baby Percy exclaimed. The got more laughter from his friends and girlfriend.
(What are...summer solstice.)
"He got a very good reason for being angry." Fuu commented. "Any of us would be if we were in his position." Most of the demigods nodded their head. They would be pissed.
(Do not...Hollywood, California.)
All heads turn to Hades at that. Hades raised his hands in surrender. "It's not like I agree with what Medusa is doing, but Persephone wanted those statues, and I couldn't say no to her."
(I folded...my pocket.)
"Smart." Artemis praised. "Now you know where Hades is at." The hunters are not so shock that Artemis praised the boy. They could tell that she at least respect the boy.
(In the...right-size box.)
"What is he thinking?" Apollo asked slowly. The others are a bit curious as well as what is Percy planning to do.
(I went...PERCY JACKSON)
Naruto knew what was going to happen. In a black flash, he stood in front of Percy and block the lightning strike with his kunai. The attack went up the ceiling and a small explosion came from it. Luckily, it only blacken the ceiling.
Naruto red slit eyes glare at Zeus, who glare back. "You have a death wish don't you? You never learn huh?" Zeus growled and pointed his bolt on Naruto.
"This boy insulted us! He must be punished for his actions!" Zeus shouted out. Poseidon, Hestia, Artemis, and Fuu quickly joined Naruto and pull their weapons out, The other gods and goddesses who like Percy got their weapons out in case Zeus try to do something. All of his friends form a circle around Percy as well, all of them with their weapon, even Piper and Leo have their weapons out to protect Percy. Percy frowned. He isn't really happy about this, but considering he nearly got killed during this book, he don't exactly blame them for defending him.
The hunters are shock, especially Zoe. Is this boy really that important to the demigods? Not even the people of Greece would defend any hero like these demigods are.
"No, I see a boy who is frustrated with the shit that is happening around him." Naruto said calmly. "I see a boy, who want to vent out his frustration the best he can."
"And this boy can speak for himself." Percy spoke up from the circle. He got out of the circle, despite the protest of the others. Zeus immediately aimed for Percy, but Poseidon and Naruto raise their weapons in case Zeus try anything. Zeus growled, but didn't blast the boy. "I know what I did is stupid, but you should know that we demigods are tired of doing your dirty work. We are tired of being treated like pawns and we are tired of being ignored by you unless you guys want something. I know some of you aren't like that, but that's how us demigods sees it."
Zeus growled, every muscle in his body is telling him to blast that boy for his incompetence, but he saw the others ready to attack incase he try anything. So he sat down on his throne and grumbled. The others got back to his original seats as well.
Athena frowned at the boy. Facing his father was idiotic of the sea spawn and it was idiotic to insult them (a part of her is screaming to kill that boy), but the demigods were ready to defend him. How did he gain that much loyalty from those demigods?
Theseus and Perseus were shock, along with Orion and Hercules. They've never seen demigods or mortal that loyal to someone. It made the latter of the four extremely jealous. Jason was jealous. The greeks showed Percy the loyalty of a roman and Hazel and Reyna along with that guy Frank joined in to protect Percy as well. He honestly envy that loyalty Percy gain.
("They're not...I said.)
"You really are." Hermes said, stifling his laughter along with Apollo. "But it's really funny once you think about. And gutsy." Zeus frowned. He don't think that was funny at all.
Reyna look at Percy with pure respect in her eyes. Even though what he did was stupid, it was majorly fearless as well. That was one of thing she like about him. He doesn't show fear easily.
(I looked...the gods.)
"That and I think it was funny as well." Annabeth admitted, getting some shock looks. "What? I thinks some things are funny. I'm not a robot."
("Come on...new plan.")
"And that's the end." Athena muttered, hating this chapter more and more. "Is is time for a break? I need to get my mind of this chapter."
"Yes, it is." Zeus said, looking at the Olympians. "But we need to hold an Olympian meeting, right now. The demigods and hunters go eat now, also Hestia and the other two gods." He refuse to call them primordial, no matter how powerful Naruto is.
Artemis frown, not wanting to separate from her sister, her dad, and Fuu, but nodded in consent. Naruto, Fuu, and Hestia teleported all the children and hunters to the dining room while the gods started the meeting.
