Target Locked
"What are you waiting for lads, our ticket to a promotion is standing right there like scared little deers. Attack!" The Chamrosh snarled at the two lackeys, who whimpered slightly at the shouting.
"Yes sir." They both gave a small growl as they stalked up slightly to the others. Knuckles was ready, fist held up to strike one of them in the head when they got to near. They jumped slightly as green laser was shout in front of them, shocking both them and the mobians.
"Stay back ya furballs." Kriller large claw was glowing green and smoking slightly as he pointed at the canines, "Better start running back to ya master with ya tails between ya legs or I'll get the big guy here to speak." The two canines glanced over at each other before laughing and cackling madly, but their leader raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
"Ha, what's so bad about some whale talking." One of the wolves spoke.
"Yeah, what's he going to do, sing us to sleep." The other cackled slightly as he nudged his companion. The krill simply gave a smirk to the large orca. Big O nodded in agreement.
"Well, since you requested. The Lullaby tone if you will big guy" He stated, covering his ear-holes with his claws. Claws and Pinchers followed and the mobians looked at each other in confusion. The leader to the three seemed to have done the same, but his two lackeys just looked around in confusion.
Until Big O opened his mouth to "speak".
It was more like a harmonic whale sound than actual words, but it was enough to send the two wolf-like creatures falling to ground, asleep. The Chamrosh took a step back slightly as he glanced from his two comrades to the whale with a sneer...
...or was it an odd smirk.
"Well, well, well it seems like the prince and his little bodyguard decided to pay us land beings a visit, Lord Terry would be quite pleased by this news. You better getting moving, many more shall follow, and its more fun for me when the prey is running." He turned to depart, looking back to the group, "My two lads will be after you the second they wake, and they will be mad."
"So you're just going to retreat, that's so unlike you Chester." The Chamrosh smirked.
"Going against Prince Oswald and his little guard is suicide, unless you're Lord Terry. He may join in the hunt after all." He leaped through the bush, leaving his sleeping companions as he went to inform the leader.
"Wait, you're a prince?" Vector stated as he and the other mobians turned to face the large whale, who nodded sheepishly in response. Before anyone else could question, Kriller interjected.
"Guys, don't forget we have something to do. Find Terry now, ask questions later, alright. Now let's get going before those two furballs wake up.
"Where is that damn chaos emerald?" The blue hedgehog looked around angrily as he rushed through the large casino. Most of the gamblers had evacuated in a frantic hurry while the remains hid underneath tables or any other places. Sonic snorted at the frightful beings, the Sharpscales will deal with them, his focus was the emerald.
He sped down an aisle, attempting in either finding the emerald, the robots, or even Shadow. He had left behind Egrend a few seconds ago as the alien's useless weight was dragging him down. He took the yellow emerald out to see it's current conditions.
"Sonic!" Sonic nearly stumbled and dropped the chaos emerald at the shout. He looked around, believing that by some luck Egrend was able to find him in this metallic and chiming maze.
"Sonic, I know you can hear me!" The hedgehog blinked when he realized that it was coming from his head, via the telepathic link of him and Grendor. He didn't know whether to be relieved, bewildered, or worried by the voice. Grendor never shouted at him, at least for all that he can remember.
"Yeah, Grendor, what's wrong?" He stated calmly as he slowed his pace.
"You didn't tell me we were in a super bright city, and then you made me destroy half of it, and I-"
"Like you would come anywhere near here if you knew."
"You know I hate bright lights. I just get so angry and I start destroying stuff and killing others-"
"Like most Sharpscales should be able to do. Where are you, and what of Shadow's friends?"
"By what Rouge stated, I'm heading toward Emerald Casino. The two mobians are riding with me, the least I could do from saving me from those G.U.N. people." Sonic sighed, at the statement. The black alien was quite a respectful, even to enemies. Something that the other Sharpscales hated, well, except for Egrend.
"How long 'til you arrive?" There was a short pause, and he could sense the short break in the mental bond before repairing itself.
"Nearly a block, why?"
"Drop them off at the block, don't need the others disliking you even more. After that I want you to fly high above the casino, don't land. Warn me if Scazer is sending a fleet to finish the city or if G.U.N. reinforcements arrive."
"There are some G.U.N. soldiers heading your way right now, but alright." Sonic sighed as he shook his head in disbelief. What was he going to do with that alien?"
"Hey, did you find it yet?" Blue ears twitched as they picked up Bokkun's voice. A evil smirk spread on his peach muzzle.
He could think of several things on how to deal with that preposterous robot.
"Hey, why are you landing?" Amy stated as she noticed the sudden decline in the alien's flight. The Casino was only a block away, so why doesn't he dropped them off there.
"Sonic said to leave you a block away; I'm already disliked by my brethren for I see no reason to dislike non-reptiles. I find you all quite fascinating and so does Egrend." Grendor explained as he landed on the ground with a small thud on all six. Rouge simply glided off his back while he reached back with one arm to guide the pink hedgehog to the ground. Though, both mammals were bewildered by the statement.
"Wait, how were you able to speak to blue?" Grendor pointed at his head.
"Telepathy, it's one of the abilities that Sonic and I share."
"Wait, so Sonic's-"
"No, we don't hear each other thoughts all the time. It's like a little connection that can be turned on and off, but it's hard for me to focus when communicating that way so I tend to-" Grendor's eyes suddenly widened slightly, and both Rouge and Amy swore that the alien's eyes glazed over in an unfocused manner before returning to normal seconds later.
"Got to go, Sonic needs me." Before either of the mobians could respond, Grendor unfurled his wings and launched himself into the air, sending a blast of it toward the girls.
"Well there goes our ride." Rouge stated as she watched the alien disappear amongst the dark clouds, "We better get going Pinkie, Shadow may be an Ultimate Lifeform, but he's not going to last long without some help.
Damn it, where did they go? Shadow looked around as he searched for some sign of the hedgehog, alien, or robots; ears were perked up and stained to find the others but the constant chiming sound of bingo machines caused him to growl in frustration.
"Look here, mister; I found this emerald fair and square and I ain't gonna part with it until I get me a large load of rings you hear." Blacks ears swiveled slightly as the black hedgehog slowed to a stop. Passing two rows of casino game machines, the Ultimate Lifeform spotted a dark brown raccoon and an annoyed looking Egrend.
"I'm trying to be reasonable here; give me the emerald and I'll let you leave peacefully. If it was any other Sharpscale you would be dead before you can make a peep." The orange Sharpscale stated as he reached his hand out for the light blue emerald. The raccoon pulled it away from reach, causing the alien to sigh in irritation.
"Fine, I tried to be friendly." he growled, causing the raccoon to flinch slightly as his eyes widened in fear. Egrend took a step forward, but quickly jumped back when a chaos spear landed between him and the mobian. Orange eyes turned their attention to the black hedgehog, who formed another chaos spear.
"You again, I do not have time for-" he looked back to the raccoon, but noticed that the mammal had ran off during the distraction, "Great, you just made me loose the chaos emerald."
"Anything that stops your plans is good enough with me." Shadow stated as he tossed another chaos emerald at the alien. Egrend jumped back, landing on one of the slot machines easily. Growling slightly, Egrend leaped toward Shadow, but the hedgehog easily dodged and countered with a kick, sending the reptile flying farther and colliding with another slot machine. Shaking the dizziness away, Egrend lifted up the machine with slight difficulty before throwing it toward the hedgehog. Shadow jumped over it, but was sent hurtling to the side as the alien rushed forward to strike him with his tail.
"Egrend, what's going on?" Sonic's voice could be heard over the bingo sounds as Shadow stood up and quickly avoided another tail strike from the Sharpscale.
"A mobian just escaped with chaos emerald, a raccoon to be more correct." Egrend shouted as he ducked a punch from Shadow, only to be kicked in the side and sent flying into another slot machine. Several rings came out and piled up on the Sharpscale. Shaking the daze away, orange eyes noticed the blue hedgehog looking at him and slight disappointment.
"Heh, guess I hit the jackpot." Sonic simply gave an annoyed sigh as green eyes rolled.
"I'm just gonna go after the raccoon."
"No need." Blue ears folded in irritation at a robotic, high-pitched voice as the mentioned raccoon was thrown at him. Sidestepping, the hedgehog couldn't help but wince slightly as the mobian struck the machine head-first with a loud thud. Looking up, Sonic growled as he noticed Bokkun and Tracktron hovering above him, the red chaos emerald in Tracktron's hand.
"I also got-" Bokkun eyes widened and dashed to the side as an air ball was sent toward the two robots. Tracktron, noticing the danger in the primary mission, attempted to fly out of the building, creating a large hole in the ceiling in the process.
"Grendor, do you see a robot with a glowing red gem."
"Yeah, why?"
"Change of plan, attack him and land in the casino."
"Well that was very rude." Bokkun stated, placing his hands on his hips in emphasis. He gulped slightly at the glare Sonic gave him.
"Do you ever shut up?"
"Trust me, he don't." Shadow stated as he charged a chaos spear in his hand, "You guys should just surrender, G.U.N. has the entire building surrounded." Sonic gave a small smirk.
"But do they have a large, flying, fire-breathing alien?" Shadow raised an eye ridge at the odd question, only to seconds later attempt to regain his balance as nearly half the ceiling behind Sonic and the Sharpscale collapsed. Looking up, red eyes narrowed at the sudden appearance of Grendor, a broken Tracktron and one his hands.
"You got the emerald Grendor."
"Yep." Sonic's smirk widened slightly as he pulled out the yellow chaos emerald from his quills. He yanked Egrend up with his free hand and took a step back.
"I'll guess we'll be leaving now." He raised the emerald slightly before shouting, "Chaos Control."
Shadow took a step forward to stop the blue hedgehog, but he was too late. In a blinding flash of light, the three beings had disappeared with another chaos emerald.
Doomsday was getting closer.
