Spirit: Hello readers and welcome to our new chapter. In this one, the group will read our least favorite chapter of the Lightning Thief.
Phoenix: At the end there will be a surprise. Now before i do the disclaimer are we missing anything Spirit?
Spirit: Nothing much. Just want to remind people to check the poll, as usual.
Phoenix: Ok. Well that is done here is the disclaimer. We own nothing meaning we don't own Naruto or Percy Jackson. Enjoy the chapter.
Shopping for Water Beds
"Chapter 17: We Shop for Water beds?" Theseus read. Zeus started grumbling again. They are suppose to find his missing bolt and all their doing is going to casinos and shopping for water beds?! He would've blasted them, if not for his mother and the other primordials watching him. Plus the fact that the master bolt is taken away from him.
Annabeth shivers at the thought of being stretched to death. She calmed down when Percy rubbed her back, silently comforting her.
(It was Annabeth's idea.)
"When isn't it?" Thalia teased. "She's the one that comes up with all the ideas."
"Kinda of like a computer, except faster and a little more emotion." Nico said. He dodge a knife thrown by Annabeth.
(She loaded...Angeles, please.")
"You do realize that you don't have anything to pay with right?" Frank pointed out. Others realize that as well.
"I hoping that that they can except casino debit cards." Annabeth answered. "If not, well, we were screwed." Some of the people face faulted at that. Not much of a plan, was it?
(The cabbie...dollar sign.)
"Holy shit…" Connor whispered in awe. "Why can't we get a card like that?!"
"Cause there will be no telling what you two would buy." Chiron answered for them. The Stolls brothers pouted at that while every demigod immediately agree to that. Never trust a child of Hermes/Mercury.
Percy turns to Yugito and Fuu and asked "Does Naruto have one of those cards?" They nod their heads.
"Naruto does have one but he never abuses it at all. For pranks at times but that is his domain and he never pranks his wives or kids. He only pranks those who deserve it." Yugito said. Everyone looked at either Hercules, Orion, Jason, Ares, or Zeus on that regard.
(The cigar...Highness" thing.)
"Do you or Percy ropelay like that?" Thalia teased. The two of them immediately turn beet red and started stuttering out answers. A lot of the demigods and the more immature gods laugh at that while some of the gods, goddesses, and primordials, sent them teasing smirk.
Poseidon looked a little uncomfortable while Athena turns red in anger. They do not want to hear what their children do in their bed. Sally look a little uncomfortable as well. When she first heard that Percy did it with Annabeth, she was a little angry and disappointed. But at time flied by, she gotten used to it.
("Get us...Mojave Desert.)
Apollo whistled. "You weren't kidding when you say, get there fast." The Sun god said. That speed is bordering Ares's speed, in a certain point of view.
(On the...for Hades.")
Hades didn't even comment at how he's being automatically presumed once again. But Annabeth can feel that Hades was displeased and flinched a little. She can also feel the hurt the man feels.
("Maybe.." I...god's voice.")
"Thank you boy." Hades said sincerely, glad that there's proof that he didn't do it. "I'm glad you're showing that I'm innocent. And we all know who's voice that belongs to."
"No we don't!" Zeus said in alarm. "It could be anybody! The boy might be wrong and the voice might actually be Hades!"
Hades looks at Naruto and asks "Naruto you can change your voice into someone else correct?" Naruto looks at Hades and nods wondering why Hades asked that question.
"Do you think you can change your voice into that one and I'm guessing you heard it before I wish to compare voices." Hades requested Naruto who nodded.
Naruto cleared his throat and did the voice who Rhea knew very well.
"Yes, that is your fathers voice Hades, no doubt about that." Rhea said with a grim tone of voice. Zeus still didn't say anything. But inside, he's holding on to that denial. He don't want to admit it, but he fears Kronos coming back to life. He don't want to believe, don't want to think that his father will come back. But the facts are getting stack against him.
(Annabeth's eyes...be Hades.)
"Although I'm upset everyone keep automatically blaming me, I don't blame you for wanting to believe so." Hades said to the daughter of Annabeth. "The other option is way worse." He's going to prepare the underworld for that day.
(Maybe his...mom back.")
Will whistled. "That's some evil thoughts for you Grover."
(I whistled...the other?")
Annabeth, Percy, and Grover look at each other grimly. The other one is the thing that would help start the war between the three eldest gods.
(Grover shook...isn't Hades?")
"We all know what's in that pit." Hephaestus said with a grimace. He better prepare some more weapons for the future.
("Percy...let's...be Hades.")
"Don't ignore the possibility of something else." Naruto lectured the demigods and gods. "Otherwise, you'll be caught in surprise and have a bigger chance of losing. You would need to prepare for the worst to come, no matter how big the possibility is."
Most of the demigods and gods considered his words. He does have a point. If they don't prepare for the worst or ignore the evidence, then you would leave themselves opened.
(Wasteland rolled...more dangerous.)
"He's correct." Artemis said with a grimace. Athena thought so as well, but refuse to admit that a sea's spawn is correct. "It makes no sense. We all think he's the thief, yet both Zeus and Hades are after him. But someone voice is calling the shots. Hades has Sally as a bargaining chip and expects Percy to have something with him, if it's not the bolt. Add to the voice daddy gave us and we know who it is."
Almost everyone turn to see if Zeus will be denying it. The god in questioned, didn't see anything. But the man refuse to admit that they may be right. That Kronos is coming back. It is far too scary for him to admit.
(The problem...would begin.)
"Good insight." Zoe complimented, surprising everyone. A hunter never complimented a boy, so hearing her say that startled everyone. "I wonder why Chiron or the daughter of Athena hadn't thought of that."
The two in question flush a little. They didn't really want to think of the other option and wanted something done quickly. They didn't thought about the fact that they would be taking a huge gamble.
("The answer...enough times.)
"You know, there are times that Percy shows that he can be smarter than you Annabeth." Thalia said. "And that is no easy task."
Annabeth frowns, her pride screaming in rage at the thought of someone being smarter than her, but she have to admit, Thalia is correct. She use the stuff she reads and hears when trying to find out who stole the master bolt, and when Kronos was suspected to be part of all of that, she automatically stopped that thought out of it. Percy, however, looked at all the facts during that quest and didn't brush it off like she did. He didn't ignore the possibility, which is as bad as Naruto said. So Thalia's right, Percy can be smarter than her at times.
(The cab...that powerful?)
"Powerful?" Zeus said, scoffing at the thought of his brothers being more powerful than him. "You forget, I can control the whole sky."
"Go figure so can Yugito or have you forgotten?" Naruto asked "Because really the one who the most powerful here is really a tie between me, Fuu, and Yugito. You're not even in our league. Also, you forget that everything and everyone is on the ground. Poseidon can use his powers to have the water rise up around the countries if he wants to, turn the whole earth into a water world."
The gods and goddesses eyes widen at that. They never really thought of something like that. If you think about it, Poseidon really is powerful.
(I stepped...went under.)
"So that's one of the ways you shut her up." Clarisse said with a smirk. "I thought the only way you do that is by making out with her." All the demigods laugh at that while Percy and Annabeth blush.
(I held...mako shark.)
The baby Percy eyes lit up at the mention of a shark. "Sharky! Sharky!" the baby yelled, waving his arms around. Almost every female cooed at the cuteness of it.
Sally smiles when the baby yelled out the animal. "Percy always liked sharks when he was younger. Nearly jumped into a shark pool at the age of two when he learned how to walk and climb. Scared the death out of me." All the demigods laugh at that while Percy blush heavily in embarrassment.
Naruto smiles and snapped his fingers making a baby size shark plushy appear in front of baby Percy. The baby shrieked in joy and hugged the plushy tightly, causing some cooed and squeals from the females. That boy is too cute.
(But the...a dog.)
"All of the sea animals will be kind to Percy and would obey his command." Poseidon said to everyone. "Another ability of his." No one was surprised at that.
(Tentatively, I...the Pacific.)
"I did once." Percy said. "Travel at the bottom, seeing what's down there. When I got back, I got a major scolding from Annabeth for scaring her like that."
Clarisse snorted. "Anyone at camp can hear her yelling at him. Scared all the younger campers back into their cabins." Annabeth flush at that. Okay, maybe she was being a worry wart. But after Percy's disappearance in the future, she's not going to stop that anytime soon.
(Then I...Mississipi River.")
"One of the few people Percy would show respect to." Thalia said, with the others agreeing with her. Even Hazel, Frank, and Reyna know him enough to know that.
("Yes, child...great interest.")
Zeus grumbled in anger. "Many years. It shouldn't have been born in the first place." Everyone notice that Zeus called Percy an 'it'.
"Then I guess Jason and Thalia are illegal children as well Zeus because they should not have been born and yet they are." Naruto countered. "You are bias to your own kids. When they do something wrong you reward them instead of punish them. But when it is one of Hades or Poseidon you move to kill them. Hell, you don't know how to rule that well and decided to make your own rules. So I will say this one time." Naruto move up to stare Zeus down, who attempted to intimidate the man by glaring back.
"DROP it. He is alive. Deal with it you paranoid idiot of a god!" Naruto said with Rhea, Fuu and Yugito agrees with Naruto. Zeus growls at him, so badly wanting to blast the Primordial, but he couldn't do it without his bolt so he sat down. He then felt the glare of Poseidon.
"And Zeus." Poseidon said quietly. "Do not call my son an it."
(Suddenly I...to me?")
Poseidon flinch, along with Sally. It's hard to hear your children say these kinds of things. To feel their hurt.
(A cold...own children?")
"Especially to their own children." Zeus said sternly. "It's the only way to make sure the demigods don't grow too powerful or have their destiny change."
"They should visit but training them would be a big no i visit the demigods i save and nothing changes their destiny. Plus everyone NEEDS their mother and father to raise them. Even Athena can agrees with me on this." Naruto countered. "Many demigods think that their parents don't love them because they never see their godly parents. Some go down the wrong path. Really, you need to visit your kids, to teach them and care for them." Many of the gods and goddesses, as well as the primordials and Rhea agree with Naruto.
All of the gods and demigods have a good feeling that Naruto is going to help change the rules. Demigods might actually have their godly parents visit them.
("Especially to...to manhood.)
"Great." Poseidon said bitterly. "That's what every parent would want to hear about their son's future." Sally feel the same as well. But even worse, since she knows that Percy is going to be in another prophecy.
(Poseidon would...was gone.)
"I agree with her." Hestia said. "Following his heart is the only way to stop that war."
Athena shook her head. "With respect aunt Hestia, I have to disagree. You have to follow your brain in order to succeed."
"Actually a true warrior has both." said Naruto. "He/she has the heart to do what's right, to protect their family. And the brain to make tactical decisions, whether talking or fighting. Both are equally important." The two goddesses thought that's a logical explanation and that he raises a good point. So they stopped arguing about it.
(I wanted...You wait.")
Percy flinch at that. He remember the price he had to pay in order to pay for those gifts.
(On that...cop cars.)
"Hey, don't look at us like that." Annabeth said to the others. "We were label terrorist and Percy DID blow up the arch." The looks stop after that. She got a point. So they would be at the top wanted list.
(I froze...Smelly Gabe.)
Nearly everyone eyes darken at the mention of that monsters. Naruto, Annabeth, Thalia, and Percy have dark grins, remembering the pain they sent the fat pig.
(He was...about it.")
Annabeth have her hands tightly around her knife, her eyes stormy and looking like a mad scientist combine with psycho killer, with calmness added to the mix. The others had their hands on their weapons as well, wanting to gut the pig again.
"He even care more for that Camaro more than Sally and Percy!" Thalia raged, having the famous Zeus temper. "I really want to torture that son of a bitch once again!"
"Same." Annabeth said darkly, her eyes looking like a dark thunderstorm.
("There you...serious issues.)
"They actually bought that bunch of horse crap?!" Rachel exclaimed in anger. "I can't believe it!" Only an idiot would buy that. The only person with serious issues is the man they're talking to.
(Let me...to Ares.)
"Great!" Ares exclaimed in happiness. "I'm wanted too! People will come after and I can have the chance to kill!" Everyone sent disgusted looks at the man.
("Who are...tuned, America.")
Mortals would do anything for a dramatic story." Demeter said, shaking her head. Everyone, except for Rachel, agree with the harvest goddess.
Poseidon grunted. "I'm tempted to send a tsunami at those people for all the unwanted drama they're putting on him. Plus some sharks added in the tsunami." What scary is that Poseidon look serious about it.
("C'mon," Grover...appliance-store window.)
"I would've done it if I didn't have any restraint." Annabeth admitted. At that time, she didn't know that Gabe was that bad, but now, she knows.
(It got...wasn't stupid.)
"That's how all New Yorkers feel." Percy said, with others from the city agreeing with Percy.
(L.A. wasn't...summer solstice.)
"Through lots of luck." Percy chimed in. That's what it usually needed for a demigod to survive or complete a quest.
(We walked… "What the…")
"Percy would've actually killed him?" Chris said in shock. The others are looking at Percy, shock as well that Percy would've killed him. Percy lower his head, trying to ignore the stares.
"Better him than us." Annabeth said, defending Percy choice. "They could've hurt or killed us." 'They might've hurt Percy.' She thought the last part to herself.
(I figured...definitely qualified.)
"I wish I hadn't pointed to there." Annabeth said with a grimace. She definitely regretted that choice.
(We burst...tartar-yellow smile.)
Theseus narrows his eyes. The guy seems familiar.
(I resisted...you are.)
Some of the people laugh a little at that. Percy smart elic thoughts are always funny.
("Sorry to...the showroom.)
"I have a bad feeling about this." Frank said, with everyone else agreeing with the son of Mars. It usually something bad when it comes with Percy, Annabeth, and Grover, with the gods and primordials quickly figuring that out.
(There was...is cool.")
"Not so cool after." Grover mumbled out, feeling that phantom pain of the mattress. No one heard him though. Well, no one, except for a concern Juniper, who is looking at her boyfriend with worry.
("Hmm," Crusty...Might fit.")
'Might fit?' Theseus thought, his eyes still narrowed. Then his eyes widen, having a guess of who the man is. 'Oh no. Please don't let it be him.'
(Annabeth said...she protested.)
Athena growled in anger, wanting to kill the man for laying his hand on her daughter.
(Crusty snapped...a sec.")
"You dudes have the worst luck yet." Leo said, shaking his head. "It's as bad me and Piper's luck." Notice at how he didn't include Jason's name.
Percy shrug. "Being the son of the one of the eldest gods has it's curse." Thalia, Nico, Hazel, and Jason can all agree to that.
("Let my...both ends.)
"Wait, you're fighting the stretcher?!" Theseus said in shock. "You definitely have worst luck. He's going to rip the two of you in half."
"But notice how Percy isn't strapped into a bed yet." Perseus said. "I'm betting he'll find a way to defeat the monster."
("Don't worry…bed, huh?")
"That guy is sick!" Thalia exclaimed in anger. Why would anyone want to do something like that? She want to rip him in half, see how he likes it.
("Percy!" Grover...sword out.)
"Coward." Ares snapped. "You should've fought the guy." All of Percy's friend glare at the war god.
"That would've been a stupid thing to do," Reyna shot back, ignoring the fact that she's talking to the war god. "If he had pull the sword, Procrustes would've snapped his neck easily. He needs to outsmart him in order to win."
"Agreed." Sally said, paling at the thought. She don't want her son to have his neck snapped.
("Your real...to Athens.)
"And failed." Theseus said in reply. "And I stopped him from hurting anymore people. But it did no good." Theseus clench his fist a little. All the monsters he fought, only for them to come back from their grave.
("Yeah," the...beds? Fabulous!")
"What on earth is he doing?!" Orion asked, with Hercules thinking the same thing. "Is he making friends with the monsters?!"
Everyone, even Jason who would want the chance to make Percy look bad, roll their eyes at them. Percy is obviously making the monster let his guard down, in order to kill him when he least expect it.
(He grinned… "She's impossible.")
"Sorry about that." Percy said, scratching his head sheepishly. He had to think on his feet. Annabeth squeeze his hand, silently telling him that she understand. Honestly, she probably would've done the same thing in his shoes.
(The giant...either end.")
"That fucker is completely crazy!" Clarisse exclaimed. "No wonder those customers complain you son of a crazy bitch!" She ignore the glare Poseidon sent her for insulting the mother of the stretcher.
("Ah," I...strangled noise.)
Percy winced at that. He still remembered the images of them on that bed. He really felt guilty of not killing crusty fast enough.
("So, Crusty...Show me.")
"And Percy outsmarted another person." Rachel said. "Impressive." She wonder why she and the others would make fun of his intelligence, when he shows bunches of times that he was smart and clever.
(He sat...fingers. "Ergo.")
"Damn." Clarisse said with a whistle. "You tricked the guy to getting in his trap. Color me impress." Everyone agree with the girl, making the son of Poseidon blush.
(Ropes lashed...six months!")
"You tried to kill us and you thought you could bargain with Percy?" Annabeth said, shaking her head. "He got too big a mind of a businessman."
(I swung...making offers.)
Everyone cheered at that. People won't get stretched to death for a while.
(I cut...next time.")
"Why are you complaining and cursing him?" Nico pointed out. "Did you forget that he saved you? Beside, he needed to make Crusty let his guard down in order to kill him."
"Sorry." Annabeth mumbled in embarrassment. At the time, she was only thinking about how she almost died. She never considered that Percy saved her and Grover's life.
(I looked...from here.")
"Finished." Theseus said, feeling a little overwhelm. First the minotaur was alive and now the stretcher? He needs a drink. "Can we take a break now?"
"Sure." Naruto said. "We'll go eat supper and then go back to reading." Everyone nodded in agreement to that, especially most of the boys.
A flash of light appeared and everyone covered their eyes except Naruto, Yugito, and Fuu. When the light disappeared there were three figures. Two adults and one child. The next thing everyone knew they heard and 'uf' and a scream of 'DADDY!' they saw in Naruto's arms is a little girl no older than 4.
Three new guests arrive in the hall.
Spirit: And that's the end. I hope you like, as I have to suffer reading this chapter once again. I really don't like the part where Annabeth and Grover get nearly stretch to death. That made my stomach churned.
Phoenix: I have to agree with spirit on that. But Kushina has finally joined her father with two others and we are keeping them a secret for the time being until the next chapter. Well lets see anything else spirit?
Spirit: Going to work at the possibly last chapter of Naruto: SFCW. Then after that, we'll finish this and then do Maelstrom of Cocoon, if Phoenix choose to help me with other projects. Plus, rewrite of my other stories. Then after that, decide which story to do next out of the poll. Review, Follow, and Favorite, and we will see you later.
