Zuko's POV

"Finally you two are here! Hahn was freaking out that we got the wrong restaurant." My sister said whilst rolling her eyes at her boyfriend. Katara chuckled beside me and finally relaxed.

"Sorry Katara was having troubles getting ready." I said as we sat down. The waiter took our drink order and left us to look over the menu.

Katara seemed to compose herself and groaned. "I really don't want to think about taking exams right now. I can't believe they've come so quickly."

I looked to her worried, "Do you need the next week off? I don't want work to get in the way of your studies."

Katara smiled and shook her head. "No I should be fine don't worry Zuko."

"Yeah she should be fine as long as nothing else keeps her up late at night." Azula giggled.

I blushed at her hidden remark one that Katara didn't seem to notice. Hahn gave me a look and I just shook my head slowly. "I'm sure nothing will Azula. If you say you will be fine Katara then I'll keep the schedule the same as it is but if you need a day off let me know."

Katara looked curiously between Azula and I but quickly dismissed whatever it was. I relaxed in my seat. "Okay, thank you." She smiled.

The waiter came back and we placed our orders. When he left again I looked to everyone. "So since you two will be done with school for the spring are you planning on taking summer classes?"

Azula made gagging noises. "Hell no, I'm skipping the summer semesters. I'd rather relax after this hellish semester."

"It's only because you had to take math classes which you hate. I'll probably take the first summer semester off and then go back in July."

"What about a trip then? We can invite everyone over to our summer home." I suggested.

Azula clapped her hands delightedly. "Zuzu that's a wonderful idea!" She leaned across the table to Katara. "Please let's go! It's only a few hours' drive from here and it's a huge house. We can invite everyone to just relax!"

I watched Katara think. "Well, I would be okay with going. But everyone else has work. Especially you Zuko."

"Oh I forgot to tell you. In the summer I give around two weeks break to everyone in June and July. I know a lot of my employees have kids that are on break. So we can leave around then."

"Really that's like a whole month! Is the company okay with everyone taking breaks like that collectively?"

I chuckled. "Katara the business is very well off. I can risk giving them that much time off. It will be okay. I've done it for four years now."

"I see…well then I'm okay. But I'm not too sure how everyone else will be. Especially the people that work at the restaurant."

"Actually about that your parents gave us all two weeks' vacation. Apparently the restaurant is going to have some renovations done June 1. They said it will take around 2 weeks to finish it."

"That's when Zuzu gives the break! That's perfect we can all go!" Azula cheered. Katara soon joined in and they began discussing little things about the upcoming vacation. I smiled knowing it would be good to get Katara out and away from all this craziness. My phone began to ring and I looked down at the blocked number. An eerie chill rippled down my spine as I excused myself from the table.

Walking out to the balcony I answered the phone reluctantly. "Why are you calling me Mai."

"Oh, I'm quite surprised you knew it was me." She snickered.

"You're the only number in my phone I have blocked and the only person I can think of calling me."

"Oh don't be such a sourpuss Zuko. Look I was calling because I want to speak with you. Please."

"No, this is the last time I'm going to speak with you so if you have something to say, say it now."

"Because my fiancé wouldn't like it. Now say what you want before I hang up."

"You were being serious about marrying that bitch?" She growled.

I chuckled. "Of course I was serious Mai, Katara's perfect why wouldn't I want to marry her?"

"Zuko I really think you should rethink this. I know we haven't really been together and when we were it never worked out but…I love you. Please don't make this choice. Come see me, I want to show you why we are better for each other."

I cringed at the sound of her sultry voice. "Sorry but I'm not interested Mai. You and I were never going to happen. Please leave me alone."

"Zuko! Wait don't do this!"

"Sorry, good night Mai."

"Zu-" I hung up the phone and shook my head in disgust. Of course she would try and get back with me the moment I made the announcement. I turned my phone off not wanting anymore interruptions and returned to dinner. Katara watched me as I walked back inside and sat down next to her. She looked at me calmly smiling.

"Who was that?"

I smiled kissing her cheek. "Nobody. I think it was a wrong number."

She blushed tucking a strand of her curly hair behind her ear and out from her face. "Well I'm glad it was nothing bad. Azula and I are going to start calling the others tomorrow and get the plans for the vacation ready."

"That sounds perfect. Hopefully they will all be willing to go. It's a nice area with a bunch to do. I believe the fair will be there as well."

"I love that fair! To be honest it's the only one I actually enjoy because they have super fast rides!" Azula said excitedly. Hahn looked to her with fearful eyes and I chuckled.

"Are you not good with fast rides Hahn?" I asked. He straightened his posture and cleared his voice.

"I-I should be fine." He barely said confidently. Katara and I laughed while Azula grabbed his arm with bright eyes.

"We should go on all of them! It's my favorite thing!" She said.

I laughed harder with Katara watching the fearful expression on Hahn's face. Hahn sat painfully listening to Azula gush about how the rides were at the fair for the rest of dinner while Katara and I listened, enjoying the expressions each was making. Dinner ended on a good note and we made our way back to my apartment. Katara was in a much better mood and spoke in the car.
