Part 2

I dematerialized before everyone into thin air, and landed on the freshwater beach near the entrance of what I later discovered was Aslan's country believing that I was dead. As I looked out at the water, I could see a towering stationary, curling wave that didn't move forward or backwards. Suddenly a dark void appeared at the bottom of the wave that seemed to grow bigger with each passing moment. Out from the void walked Aslan, completely dry. He called me by name, "Hello Ithaca, I have come to talk to you." I had heard many stories about Aslan, so I wasn't afraid.

"Ithaca, heart of the shining one, you I have chosen to be the bridge between me, the world of men, and your world. The Oracle as you are to be called. A famine is coming. For six months, you all will have a time of happiness, care free days and good harvest. Then suddenly a terrible storm would come and destroy all crops of harvest. You all will need to gather what you can and save it for the worst to come."

"Aslan, why me, a child?" I asked him.

"Dear one, it is not for you to know the reasons why you are chosen. but in time, more will be revealed to thine eyes. But at this time, you must return back to which you came from."

Before I could say anything, I was back as the sun set. The next thing I remembered was a gasp from the crowd as they watched me rematerialize on to the podium. This time I had come back with lilies ornately layed in my loose french braid. Then, in my loudest voice I told the people what Aslan said to me. As I told them the message, flickers of joy, sadness, and hope passed through the crowd. We all had to brace ourselves from what would turn up next.
