Sorry if the story isn't as good and you wanted it to be, but here it is.}

As Sasuke was about to open the door, he mentally smacked himself on the forehead. "I forgot to tell Naruto he had detention." He mumbled underneath is breath. "Lately he has been acting strange." Sasuke spoke while he pushed opened the door. "I wonder what his deal is."

"Onii-san, I'm home." Sasuke shouted.

Chapter 5

Hinata enetered her family house with a gentle smile on her face. For some reason she had been thinking about Naruto. Her small quickly faded as she saw the note that her mother left on the table.

Dear Hinata,

Your father and I are going to be busy for the next several weeks with Hanabi, her boarding school and a business trip. I'm sorry this is of late convince. I also did not have the chance to cook super, but there is some left over ramen. Help yourself. And also be safe.

We love you,

Your father and I

Hinata dropped the letter on the table. "Alone as always." She said as took a look around the empty house. "And who eats left over ramen." She pouted.

"I'll just cook some spicy curry and white rice." She declared.

Hinata walked over to the kitchen and took a look inside the cupboards. She puffed out her cheeks as she noticed it was empty.

She walked but over to the letter she had dropped on the table and turned it around.

PS:

There is no food in the house, so I left some money next to the computer for you to go grocery shopping. Also, if you need more just take it out of your father's bank account.

"She's so responsible." Hinata told herself while she rolled her eyes.

She took a deep breath. 'I remember a grocery store not too far from here.'

She sprinted towards the computer and saw some cash. She picked it up and put it in her skirt pocket. "I better head out now, before it gets too late."

V-v-V-v

Naruto slammed the phone down. "That damn Kurenai-sensei." Naruto spat. He rubbed his forehead in frustration. It's not like he was going to go anyway, just like the others before.

"I wonder what's there to eat." He asked himself as he walked to his fridge. He soon groan in agony as there was nothing there to eat, expect for some left over ramen, and old tuna from 2 weeks ago. He stuck out his tongue. Nobody in their right mind would eat old tuna nor left over ramen. Guess he had to do a little shopping. Naruto stuck his hand in his jeans pocket. He headed out the door whiles whistling

As he passed the streetlight he took note of the couples walking by all happy. He glared at them. Why is everyone so lovey dovey. Love was clearly a want, not a need. Well, that's what he always told his self. Human being can survive without love, it was just something we wanted like our deepest desires. It wasn't something we needed to live. As he was debating on his head whether or not love was a necessity or want, he didn't noticed he had knocked over somebody and was now getting rude stares at people.

"Hey buddy! You need to watch where you're going!" someone shouted as they gripped Naruto by the shirt.

Naruto snapped out of his thought as he noticed someone had taken a hold of his jacket. He narrowed his eyes. "Excuse me?" he said socking his eyebrow.

"You knocked over the girl!" the man shouted.

Naruto eyes twitch. He turned around and noticed the man was pointing to a girl who was being helped up by some men, maybe a little older than him. He walked over to the girl and bowed down. "Gomen, I wasn't focusing on where I was going." He said.

"I-it's okay." The young girl said as she bowed down.

Naruto looked down at the short girl and his cerulean eyes opened wide. "Hinata." He mumbled.

"O-oh, Uzumaki-kun." Hinata said, her cheeks turning pink.

Naruto narrowed his eyes at the girl. "I told you to call me Naruto." He said as he stomped his feet like a little child wanting candy.

"Gomen, gomen, gomen." She said nervously.

Naruto stared down at the nervous girl and couldn't help but let out a little chuckle. "It's okay Hinata." He said as he smiled.

Hinata stared up at the taller boy and felt her heart skipped a beat as she saw him smile.

"Nar-

"So, what are you doing out late at night?" Naruto asked as him and Hinata walked side by side.

"W-well, I-I was goi-going to the store." She stuttered. She looked down at the floor in embarrassment.

Naruto look down at the girl who was slumped down. "Are you okay?" he asked.

She nodded her head.

'I've never had a boy walk side by side with me. Let alone talk to me so casual.' She thought.

"Mmm… okay. Well I'm heading to the shop also." Naruto spoke.

Hinata took a glance at Naruto and noticed he was holding his stomach.

"Oh… um… a-are you…" she whispered.

Naruto blinked and look at the girl weirdly. "Hinata, you're weird."

"Gomen." She said. 'He thinks I'm weird now.' She thought sadly.

"Well, we're here." Naruto said as he let Hinata in first.

Hinata nodded as she took around the shop. She looked up and saw that Naruto had left. She sighed. A reminder of Naruto holding his stomach let Hinata face redden. "I can't believe I was going to ask him if he wanted to come over." She said as she walked throughout the aisle with a basket in her hand.

"Hmm…we need some curry powder, oh milk." She said as she rested her finger on her lip. "Oh and rice."

"There you are Hinata." Naruto said as he held several cups of ramen in his hand.

Hinata tilted her head. 'Can a human consume that much ramen?'

Naruto walked up next to her and took a look in her basket. "Oi Hinata, you know how to cook?" Naruto asked.

Hinata nodded her head. "Y-yes." She said looking away. 'What's wrong with me? Why can't I look at him?'

"What are you cooking?"

"U-um… some spicy curry with white rice." She whispered.

Naruto had to strain his ear just to make out what she was saying. His eyes sparkled as he dropped the ramen he held on the floor.

"You're going to clean that buddy." An employee said as he stuck his head out.

Naruto simply ignored him.

"Can I come over?" he said scratching the back of head.

Hinata had to restrain herself from fainting. A boy over by her house?

"U-um… w-well… I"

"Please, please, Hinata" Naruto said as he pouted.

Hinata looked away. "Um… okay." She whispered.

"Yay!" Naruto said he did a little dance.

Hinata gazed at him and giggled. As soon as Naruto heard the giggled he rubbed the back of head.

"Well, maybe I should get some ramen for tomorrow." He replied bending down picking up the ramen.

Hinata smiled with a tint of blush that adorn her cheeks.

'What is this I'm feeling?' she thought as she held her chest.

Q-w-Q-w

"Ne, Hinata you'll make someone a good wife." Naruto said he shoved a spoon full of curry in his mouth.

Hinata face turned red.

"Oi Hinata, do you have a fever?" Naruto asked as he rested his hand on her forehead.

She shook her head. "I-I'm okay."

"Mmm… Alright."

Hinata glanced at Naruto hand and observed it was wrapped up. 'Was his hand like that at school?'

"U-um… Uzu" she shook her head. "U-um… Naruto, what h-happened to her hand." She said looking away. She played with her school skirt.

"Oh." He smiled. "Some dog attacked me." He replied.

Hinata gasped. "A-are you okay!" she shouted.

Naruto stared at her with sudden surprise. That was first time he had ever heard the girl shouted something.

"Wow, Hinata. You're full of surprises." He sad laughing.

Hinata gripped the napkin that was on the table and glanced away. "I'm sorry."

Naruto rubbed her head. "It's okay."

Hinata heart skipped another beat.

Naruto laid flat on Hinata's living room floor and stared up at the ceiling fan. "You have a nice place."

"T-thank you."

"You're so polite." Naruto said as he got up and look her in the eyes.

Not 2 seconds had past when Hinata had turned to look at something else.

"So, do you have any friends?" he asked. "You're a nice person, so I know that you have a lot."

"U-um… no I do not." She said with disappointment.

"Oh." Naruto said as he rested his head on the table. "Hinata, can you look at me."

Hinata turned her head towards Naruto, nervously. He stared her in the eyes and noticed they were somewhat similar to his. Loneliness.

"Would you like to eat lunch with my friends and me tomorrow?"

Hinata was shocked. Was this a dream?

"U-um… I wouldn't want to intervene." She said looking away.

Naruto waved his hand. "You wouldn't."

"B-but."

"No buts. This is the at least I can do since I owe you for cooking me dinner." He said getting up.

Hinata also got up. "U-um… okay."

Naruto turned around. "Thank you." He said giving her a toothy smile.

She stayed in that same spot as Naruto closed the door behind him. Her heartbeat was beating fast and she felt as if she was going to collapse at any moment. Naruto was different. He held so much mysteries and Hinata felt herself slowly falling for him.

Dear Diary,

Hey, it's me. /

Today was surprisingly… awesome. I met someone. Well not like we are going out, but I think I made my first friend since ages. =^[ But sadly, I think I also found my first love. His name is Naruto. He's awesome, loud, funny…. We are complete opposites. I'm so quiet and plain. –sighs- Maybe I'm just feeling this since it was my first time walking with a boy and letting one inside my house. However, I am content.

~Naruto Uzumaki…

The pen slipped out of Hinata's hand as she drifted off to sleep.

"Dobe, what happened to your hand?" Sasuke asked.

The group looked at Naruto.

"Teme! Don't call me dobe! And if you must know, some cat attacked me."

"Wow, animals do not like you Naruto." Kiba said grinning as he pat Naruto on the back harshly.

"DOG BREATH!" Naruto retorted.

Kiba glared at Naruto. "Don't call me that, baka!"

The two went back and forth as the group walked outside with their lunches.

They sat down at a long table outside the school.

"Ne… Shikamaru, did you do your English Homework?" Choji asked as she thrust a whole rice ball down his throat.

"Why do homework? It's so troublesome." Shikamaru said as he, surprisingly, ate some teriyaki chicken.

"Sasuke-kun!" two girls shouted as they pushed Kiba down on the floor. They both sat themselves beside and in front of Sasuke.

"Hey!" Kiba said as he jumped up.

The two girls ignored him as they quickly chattered away.

The group soon stopped as they glance at Naruto.

Naruto slurped his ramen and felt someone staring at him. "Nani?" (What?)

"You're not going to hit on Sakura?" asked Kiba. "Shockers."

"Oh, I didn't see her." He said looking away. The group blinked at him before going back to what they were doing except for Sasuke.

Naruto looked up and saw Hinata walking shyly with her bento box. "HINATA!" Naruto stood up as he waved.

The group took a look the girl who was walking nervously towards them.

"That's watermelon!" Kiba shouted.

"Oi, that's the new girl." Ino said as she stared at the girl who was standing beside Naruto.

Hinata stared down at her feet as she felt eyes on her.

"Guys, this is Hinata. She's new to the school. SO be nice to her." Naruto said as he scooted over for Hinata sat next to him.

"Hi Hinata! I'm Sakura."

Hinata stared at the pink girl. 'She's so pretty.'

"And I'm Ino."

Hinata also stared at her and blushed.

Ino and Sakura stared at the blushing girl and grinned. "She's so… KAWAII! (CUTE)" they said in unison.

Hinata looked around. 'Were… were they talking about me?'

The two girls giggled.

"This is Shikamaru." Ino said pointing at the sleeping boy. "And that's Choji." Said Ino, pointing to a larger boy who was shoving some chips in his mouth.

"This is Sasuke." Sakura said resting her hand on the raven boy who twitched.

"Hands off Bill-board brow!" Ino shrieked.

"He doesn't belong to you." Sakura said sticking out her tongue.

"Uh, don't mind them. I'm Kiba by the way and that's Shino." Kiba said pointing to the silent boy.

"Um… n-nice to me-meet you g-guys." She said looking down at her lap.

Ino smiled at the girl. "I hope Naruto didn't cause you any trouble."

Hinata shook her head. "N-no…!"

Sakura giggled.

"Leave her alone guys!" Naruto puffed.

The group laughed, well some of them did.

"Oi Hinata. Your lunch is so cute." Sakura said as she stood next to Hinata who was sitting down. "Did you make that yourself?"

Hinata nodded.

"Hinata is a good cook too!" Naruto said grinning.

"Um-um… well not that good of a cook." She said blushing like mad.

Sasuke stared at the girl. "Hmm…"

"Wait you already had Hinata's cooking!" Kiba shouted as he rose his hand in protest.

"When was this?" Choji asked between munches.

"Um" Hinata stared down.

"Shush! You're embarrassing her." Ino said as she wrapped her arm around Hinata.

Hinata face was turning red by all the contact.

"Let's go Hinata" Naruto said as he grabbed Hinata by the arm.

"Naruto, where are you going?" Kiba asked.

"Getting Hinata far away from you guys!" Naruto shouted.

Ino and Sakura giggled. "I think Hinata has a thing for Naruto." Sakura told Ino.

"But she's so Kawaii!" Ino said in between laughs.

Sasuke stared at Naruto. "Naruto."

Well here you guys go. I hope you enjoy it. Please review.
