Hey reviewers. Thanks for the reviews.
Just to clear up something, Sasuke is not gay for Naruto. (Lol) It's not that, he just cares for Naruto and he sees that he has been acting differently. So don't worry. ^-^ No Sasuke liking Naruto.
"Um… Uzumaki-kun, where a-are you taking me?" Hinata said as she took a glance at Naruto. 'His hand is so warm.' She thought.
Naruto turned around and stared at Hinata. "Gomen. I thought they were troubling you too much." He spoke. He sat down on the stairwell.
Hinata stood there and stared down at the floor.
"Oi Hinata, you can sit down too." Naruto said patting to a seat next to him.
She nodded her head and sat down next to him. Naruto soon flicked her on her nose, which made Hinata yelped in surprise by the sudden touch.
"Naruto." Was his response.
"Sorry." She said staring down at her lap. "H-how is your hand d-doing?"
Naruto stared at his bandage hand. "Oh, it's okay."
It was an awkward silence between the two. Neither one of them had anything to say, but it felt so peaceful. A little smile formed on Hinata's face. She was happy. However, the bell rung which kind of ruined the moment. Naruto got up and stretched. He turned around and helped Hinata up who gracefully accepted the outfit.
"T-thank you." Hinata said bowing down. She quickly left and headed towards her class.
Naruto watched as the young girl sprinted to her class. He tilted his head to the side. A little blush appeared on is cheek.
"So dobe? What's the relationship between you and her?" Sasuke asked as he stood beside Naruto.
Naruto glared at him. "TEME! Don't sneak up on me like that." He said shooting daggers at Sasuke.
Sasuke flinched by Naruto's outburst. He should've been used to it by now. But he wasn't. "Look, Naruto I want to talk to you." He said. The two stopped by a water fountain where Naruto took some sips. "What about? Are you hear to confess your dying love for me?" he said smirking. He continued to drink some more. "And aren't you going to be late?" Naruto asked he stared up at Sasuke.
Sasuke rolled his eyes. "I can careless right now, baka." He said as he pushed Naruto from the water fountain. He took a sip of it. "Let's go to the roof top." Sasuke said as he adjusted his backpack.
"Oh, we're skipping. Is the world coming to an end?" Naruto asked as fits of laughter escaped his lips. He reluctantly followed Sasuke.
Sasuke opened the door to the roof top and a ray of light hit both Naruto and him. The two youngsters walked outside and stood beside a little room which held some tools in it.
"Ne? What is it?" Naruto said staring up at the sky.
Sasuke stood in front of him. "You've been acting strange."
Naruto began to chuckle. "Teme, what are you talking about?" he asked, grinning.
"Damnit Naruto! Don't play with games with me." Sasuke replied, gritting his teeth. "I've notice you've been acting strange lately, and after that Sakura incident, I know something's up."
Naruto stood up. "Really Sasuke, there is nothing wrong with me."
He began to walk away when Sasuke gripped in by his hand, the one that was covered with bandage, his right hand. Naruto yelped in pain.
"Naruto." Sasuke said as he watched the boy yanked back his hand. "What really happened to your hand." He asked as he noticed little blood spots on his white bandage.
"It doesn't concern you!" Naruto shouted.
Sasuke took a step forward. "Naruto, I'm your friend. So you can talk to me." He said as he rested his hand on Naruto's shoulder.
Naruto pushed him away. "Talk? Why would I want to talk?" he asked as he sadly looked down towards the floor. "I've been doing this for so long. I can handle my own self."
"Naruto." Sasuke said as he saw the boy rubbed his hand.
Sasuke yanked Naruto by the collar and left him up. "Where is Naruto?"
Naruto stared at the boy confused.
"This isn't the Naruto I use to know. Where's the hint of mischievous in your eyes you always held? Or the love for Sakura or your own self?" he asked him. He shook Naruto.
Sasuke dropped him to the floor and looked away. "Gomen…" he trailed off.
Naruto began to fix his clothes. "Geesh! Are you on your period or something?" he asked with a hint of laugher.
Sasuke growled. "Naruto, I'm serious!" he shouted. "I'm sleeping over tonight."
"How can you come to my house unannounced?" Naruto asked.
"Because you're not telling me what's happening to you. And I'm worried about you"
"I didn't expect the ice prince to say something like that." Naruto said looking away.
"Baka!"
Naruto leaned against the wall, before sitting down. Sasuke joined him. Naruto rested his head on his knees and sadly look at the scenery that was displayed.
"I'm just tired Sasuke."
"Then talk to me."
Naruto sighed. "I don't know. I just feel so much anger inside me. So much loneliness, I don't believe in those things I used to believe in."
Sasuke stared at Naruto in surprise.
"I stopped liking Sakura since seventh grade, it was just a mask. Quite frankly, I don't believe in love. It's stupid. It's just a want. I'm angry. I'm just full of anger." Naruto said squeezing his hand. "You've had it easy, everyone comes up to you. They look up to you, whiles they look down upon me. They have so much high expectations of you. Me? Where am I going?" he said sighing in frustration.
Sasuke also sighed. "Naruto… I didn't know you felt like this. Why didn't you just say something?"
Naruto wiped his tears that were coming down. Sasuke groaned. He gave Naruto a soft hug, shockingly Naruto returned the hug.
"I'm your friend. Friends rely on one another. That's what you told me." Sasuke said as he rubbed Naruto head.
Naruto pushed him off. "I was little and foolish." He scoffed. "What benefits are friends?" Naruto said getting up.
Sasuke got up and balled his fist. "If you didn't want friends, why are you putting on this mask? If you don't care, why are you still here!" he shouted.
Naruto stayed quiet. Why was he still here? Why did he put on this mask?
"You're so naive." Sasuke said as he walked past Naruto. "And you're also a hypocrite, but somehow I would prefer the hypocrite Naruto, than this Naruto." He said glancing over his shoulders at Naruto. "Bye."
Naruto looked on the floor after Sasuke had shut the door. He punched the wall before sliding down and crying.
C-o-i-C
"Sasuke, where did you and Naruto go to?" Kiba asked as he ran up to him.
It was after school and Kiba hadn't seen Naruto since he had left with Hinata. Only Sasuke had return back to the class. Sasuke tightened the grip on his backpack.
"No, I haven't." he said as left a startled Kiba.
"Man, nobody ever tells me anything!" Kiba said.
"N-Naruto, what are you still doing here?" Hinata asked as she walked to the front of gate. She had spotted Naruto just standing there looking up at the afternoon sky.
Naruto turned around and sadly stared at her. "Oh… I didn't realize."
Hinata walked up to him. "It looks like y-you need an ice-cream." She whispered. 'He looks so sad and distant.'
Naruto shook his head. "No, it's okay." He told her. "See y-
"I would appreciate if you took my offer." Hinata spoke up. She confidently looked him into the eyes.
Naruto gave her a soft smile. "Sure."
Hinata smiled as she took his hand. "I've seen this bakery shop that also sells ice-cream. We can go there."
Naruto stared in the back of the girl's head.
Hinata felt something came over her. Confidence. She was surprise that she wasn't going to take no for an answer. She considered Naruto a friend, even if he didn't feel the same, she didn't want him to be sad. Nobody likes to be sad. It's one of the worst feelings for someone to be sad and you couldn't do anything about it. Naruto was a ray of light in her eyes. Even if she had known him for a short time. He was interesting.
"Do you like it?" Hinata asked him, while taking a lick of her ice-cream.
Naruto nodded. "Thank you."
It was quiet. Hinata had noticed. It wasn't how it was at lunch time, it was more depressing. She gulped down her fears and began to speak up. "Naruto, are you okay?"
A little gust of wind blew between them as they sat on the stair case staring out at the river. The sun was setting and the sky were tinted with orange. It was a beautiful site.
"I'm okay." Naruto voice cracked.
Hinata got up and kneeled before Naruto. "Well… I think you're not okay." She said looking away. "I mean, I haven't really spoken to someone… well…" Hinata said lost in the world. "You're my first friend and I wouldn't like you to be sad." She said smiling at him.
Naruto stared back at her. "But you've only known me for a day and some hours. Why do you consider that I'll ever be your friend?"
Hinata was taken back at this. "You gave me the impression that I was. I've never had friends to sit and eat lunch with or come over to my house." She whispered looking away, with little tears gathering in her eyes. She quickly wiped them away.
"Friends are just a waste of time." Naruto whispered.
"I don't think so." Hinata said replied. "It's good when you can have someone to confide in. And you seem to have a lot of friends." She said pushing a few hair strands behind her ears. "I wish I was like you." She continued. "Everyone seems to attract to you. You're like a magnet." She giggled.
"How do you know this?" Naruto scoffed. "Why would you want to be like me? I'm a nobody."
"I've seen you in the distance and the way people talk about you. Even if I have been to the school for only 2 days, I've seen that you've made a difference in a lot of people lives." Hinata stated.
Naruto blushed. "I don't feel like it."
Hinata stared down at Naruto. "If you didn't want friends, why are you still here?" Hinata said balling her fist. "If people thought you were a nobody, you wouldn't be surrounded by friends or have people talk about you." She said with anger in her voice. "I longed for friends like yours. Friends I can go to and talk to." She said cooling down.
"You wouldn't understand how I felt."
Hinata sighed. She looked Naruto in the face and stared at his cheeks. "H-how did you get those?" she said touching his cheeks.
Naruto flinched by the sudden touch. He gently pushed her hand away. "I did those myself." He said rolling his eyes.
"Why?"
"I was angry at myself." He frowned.
Hinata smacked him in the back of his head. "Baka! Don't do that!" she screeched at him. "What would the world be like if Naruto wasn't here? Probably a dull place."
Hearing those words, Naruto's heart skipped a beat. Hinata got up and brushed off her skirt. "Even if you do not consider me a friend, I consider you my friend." She said closing her eyes and smiling at him. "I guess you can say this is a one sided friendship."
Naruto stared up at the girl. "Hinata." He muttered.
Hinata stretched out her hand. "Would you like some ramen tonight?"
Tears fell from Naruto's face as he embrace Hinata. Hinata patted him on the back. Naruto had never felt so much compassion come from somebody. He had never expected such emotions to overcome him. Maybe this was a new chapter in his life.
"N-naruto-kun, you're getting me wet?"
Naruto sniffled as he stared Hinata in her eyes. "Thank you."
Hinata looked away blushing. "N-no…. I watched a lot of anime, so thank them."
Naruto blinked at her. "Can I still come over for ramen?"
Hinata looked at the boy and laughed. "Yes, Naruto-kun"
U-w-U-o
Naruto dropped his bag on Sasuke's desk, which startled him.
"What is it dobe?" Sasuke asked annoyed.
"Sorry." Naruto mumbled.
Sasuke stared at Naruto in disbelief.
"You're my friend and I should have confide in you on how I felt." Naruto said. "Gomen." He said smiling.
Sasuke smirk at the boy.
"Wipe that smirk off your face Uchiha." Naruto said rolling his eyes.
Sasuke pretended to wipe a tear from his eye.
"Hey guys!" Kiba shouted.
"Must you be so loud!" Ino shouted back at the boy.
Kiba glared at her. "Anyway! Do you guys want to do karaoke after school?"
"Well there be food?" Choji asked with excitement.
"There's always food." Kiba laughed.
"Sure!" Ino and Sakura said. 'I can win Sasuke over with my voice.' The two girls thought.
Naruto looked down at Sasuke with pleading eyes. "Fine, fine." Sasuke said waving his hand.
"Yosh!" Naruto said pumping his fist in the air.
Dear Journal,
It seems that the dobe is back to his normal self, for now I guess. I wonder what had gotten into him to change his attitude. Well I am happy, but not completely satisfy until Naruto and I speak one to one, but for now I am content now. After all he's like a brother me, even if I wouldn't admit it.
~Sasuke
Sasuke closed his book and stared out the window. It looked a little windy because of the trees going back and forth. He watched as two birds flew in the air. It looks as if they were playing with one another. A small smile graced his face as he saw Iruka-sensei yelling at Naruto for snoring in class.
T-y-T-u
"Where's Ino and Sakura?" Kiba said irritated.
"Girls are troublesome and so is karaoke." Shikamaru said leaning against the school walls.
"Nobody ask you to come." Naruto and Kiba said pointing their fingers at him.
"Troublesome." Shikamaru muttered as he put his hands in his school pocket.
Ino and Sakura eventually came out chattering.
"You guys are late." Kiba said.
Ino and Sakura glared at him.
"But it's okay." He said laughing nervously. 'Damn girls.' He thought.
"Let's go." Kiba said.
The group walked down the school wall, when Naruto suddenly sprinted towards at short girl who walking ahead in front of them.
"Hinata." Naruto said as he rubbed the back of his head. "Where were you lunch time?"
Hinata smiled sheepishly at him. "Sorry, Naruto-kun." She said bowing down. "I had some stuff to take care of; documents for the school."
"Oh. Well we're going to go Karaoke, would you like to come along?" he asked.
Hinata turned around and saw the group of kids who was standing behind her. She looked down. "I-I'm sorry, I don't want to be a burden." She said.
"It's okay Hinata-chan." Sakura said smiling. "The more the merrier." Ino added.
Hinata looked up at Naruto. "We're friends, remember." Naruto said smiling.
Hinata smiled also. "Um… sure, but I've never been to Karaoke." She said looking down in embarrassment.
'Man, she is co cute.' Kiba thought.
"WHAT! You have to come along." Ino and Sakura said latching on to both side of Hinata's arms.
"N-naruto-kun!" Hinata shouted as the girls dragged her down the street.
Naruto smile. "I agree with them." He said skipping.
Sasuke chuckled. Naruto turned around and smiled at him.
Sasuke smiled back at him.
"Let's go!" Kiba shouted as he ran down the street.
Review please. I hope you guys enjoyed it. ^^'
