Hey guys so here is another chapter based on 2x20, it has more scenes from the actual episode than the last chapter but again does have my own scenes that I just couldn't resist putting in. chapter 5: love
When Mia got up that morning to find Nick laying beside her looking so peaceful, she gently stroked the head that were caressingly and messily fallen onto his forehead then gave him a kiss before grabbing one of his tshirt as she left the bed to get ready. She quickly and as quietly as she could showered then began to get dressed, she had started to leave a couple of her things at Nick's house in a bag. She wore a black tank top underneath a white and black spotted shirt, red skinny jeans, a black cardigan and black ankle boots. Mia had simply pulled her wavy hair into a high ponytail, her eye make up lightly grey smoked and light rose pink lipstick. Mia went down to the kitchen where she began to make coffee and some breakfast which turned out to scrambled eggs with pancakes, bacon and some fruit that she decided to cut up. Nick woke up to the smell of cooking filling the house, smiling he quickly got dressed and head down stairs to see what was going on
"I missed waking up with you lying next to me, although this is a good surprise" he said wrapping his arms around her waist as she chucked while continuing with cooking the pancakes, he liked how she seemed so at home at his place
" I know but I thought I would let you sleep a little but longer plus I wanted to do something nice for you hence the cooking" she said as she flipped the pancakes over, it was hard to think about what she was doing with his hands around her
" well it is a nice change from our normal routine of picking up coffee and pastries on the way to work... mmm that smells good" he said as he unbuttoned her shirt a little to pull it down to reveal her bare shoulder which he began to gently kiss sending butterflies to her stomach
" if you keep doing that then I'm going to burn down the house" she said closing her eyes slightly as she tried to focus on something other than his lips
" we could always get another house" he said as she turned the stove off and then turned to face him, he decided to lift her onto the counter so that they were move even height wise
" oh really? and what about out very respectable jobs? we're going to be late" she said still laughing slightly as he persistently continued to kiss her as he unbuttoned the rest of her shirt
and began to kiss her neck which he knew was her weakness
"let's phone in sick and that way we can just go back to bed to continue this..." he said not giving up, he just couldn't seem to get enough of her
" oh I'm sure the captain wouldn't suspect anything, anyways isn't Hank coming back today?" she said reminding him that he was meant to Hank at a local cafe to hear all about his holiday
"true but tonight when I get home you are all mines, are we staying here or yours?" he asked pouring coffee into their travel mugs for the drive to work as she fixed her shirt and collected herself
" we could stay here and have a movie night or something, I could even start dinner when I get home since I'm finish work first" she said walking into the dining room where bag was to make sure she had all the correct paperwork in it for the days lessons
" that sounds good, I could pick some cakes or something from that bakery that you love" he said stealing a bit of a pancake that was a on a plate
" ohh that sounds good, wait aren't you supposed to ply me with baked goods after you've done something wrong?" she said making fun of him as they remembered the sunflowers and macarons he gave her after their small fight
" I'm pretty I'll mess up again so think of it as an apology in advance, you ready to go? I can drop you off at the school on my way to meet Hank" he said seeing that she was beginning to gather her stuff together to go
" that'd be great, aren't you the best boyfriend in the world" she said they headed out the door, they paused briefly to give each other a much required kiss that was filled with heat
" well I try plus you only deserve the best" he said as he opened the car door for her before getting into the drivers seat
Later that day when Mia finished work she went to supermarket to grab somethings that they needed for dinner that night, she decided to make homemade pizza since nothing went better with movies than pizza. As soon as she got to Nick's place she used the spare key that he gave that morning then put the groceries away before heading up stairs to get changed. She wore a white tshirt and blue jeans, she took her hair out of its ponytail and shook it out so her waves were slightly mess. She took some of her make up off and wore a much more natural look since she was staying in. Mia then began to make dinner, soon she realised that Nick was late coming home and began worry since he always called her if something had happened so she called Monroe. Eventually Nick came stumbling in much later than normal
" hey is everything ok? you're home late and didn't call?" she asked walking out of the kitchen after taking the already cooked pizzas topped all of their favourite pizza toppings
" yeah I'm fine I just got caught up in this case" he said slightly distracted, she could sense that something was off about him but couldn't work out what
" oh I figured as much, anything interesting?" she asked as she began to cut up the pizza with the pizza slicer, her blutbad smelling was picking something unusually up
" umm not really, just you're run of a mill love gone wrong. Ho was your day?" he asked going through the motions as he felt himself being pulled somewhere else as Khloe's words swam around in his head
" the usual I guess, although I did get invited to the homecoming dance by a 14 year old who and I quote said that I was one hot piece of ass... Nick?" she asked when she realised that he wasn't there anymore
" yeah? what were you saying?" he said standing over the window, he thought he could see a faint image of Khloe in the window
" what is going on with you? and why do you stink of women's perfume?...Nick?" she asked not being able to ignore it anymore, she knew it wasn't hers. Nick turned to watch Khloe vogue in the window
" I'm sorry I'm feeling slightly off tonight, I think work might be getting the better of me. Do you think you could go and we could do this another time?" he said wanting rid of her so that he could go and see Khloe again
" sure, just give me a call when you're less weird ok?" she said grabbing her stuff before leaving, trying to work out what had just happened as she decided to call Monroe
"hey I thought you would be with Nick tonight? were you guys meant to be having a movie night or something?" he asked remembering what Nick had told him earlier when he called
" that was the plan but he just kinda kicked me out" she said getting walking down the street to the nearest subway since her car was still being repaired due the crash she had
" wait he did what? why?" he asked getting slightly annoyed that Nick had obviously upset his little sister, he knew this didn't sound this Nick
" I have no idea, everything was fine this morning and then when he got home he seemed off and distracted" she said trying her best to describe how different he had been acting
" you okay? want me to come and pick you up?" he said thinking that she might need someone to comfort her as a result of whatever this was
" no it's fine I'm just going to get the subway plus I kinda want to be alone right now but thanks" she said before they said their goodbyes and hung up as Monroe decided his next move
Monroe got into his car and began to drive to Nick's place as he tried to work out what to say about the subject, he wasn't sure what the best way was to go about it. All he knew was that he couldn't let Nick get away with treating his sister like that. When he knocked out on the door he noticed what Mia was talking about when she said that Nick didn't seem himself, when he answered he seemed almost disappoint that it was him
" Monroe, what are you doing here?" he said in a bored tone of voice, he wanted all of these other people to leave him alone so that he could go and be with Khloe
" seriously? you need to ask? Mia called me saying that you were pretty horrible to her and that you kicked her out, what is going on?" he asked going with the slightly nicer version than what was going through his head
" I didn't mean to upset her but she was bugging me and I have other things on my mind than her feelings" he said slightly harsh when he thought about Khloe compared to Mia and how all he wanted was to be with her
" really? Dude I can't believe you just said that, she's m sister! I thought you were crazy about her?" Monroe said to keep in control of his temper as he felt himself get angrier and angrier by the minute
" what is this? I don't need to be questioned about every little thing that I decided to do, even if is about your sister" he said getting annoyed at the constant questions and grilling he was getting from Monroe
"Nick why are you acting like this?... oh really you're just going to storm out of your own house?" he said when he saw Nick get up and head to the door to leave
" Maybe I've just had enough of you" Nick said as he slammed the door trying to work out where to go next, leaving Monroe all alone as he sent Hank an update text of what was going on
Later Hank called them all over to Monroe's house that he could tell them what had happened at the bar between Nick and the drunk guy, Mia was huddled together in the arm chair. She was so tired by this point so she now wearing her glasses, a grey hoodie and a grey hat. Mia tired her hardest to take in everything Hank was saying but was struggling to believe it
"I've never seen one" Monroe said taking a look at the picture that Nick draw of Khloe in full vogue but it didn't seem familiar
" it kinda looks like that Naiad that we met at the beach house that summer when I was six, but somethings are different" she said half heartedly hoping that all of this was due to some wesen spell
" did Nick really hit someone in a bar over this?" Rosalee asked trying to image the guy that refused to kill their kind of simple existing hitting someone over something so small
" I couldn't believe it either, I mean the guy was drunk and Nick did ask him to back off but still he was over the top" Hank said remembering how it was like someone had flipped a switch in him
" that's how he was with me over the top, what about with you Mia?" Monroe asked seeing that she seemed to be zoning out and getting lost in her thoughts
" he seemed more distracted with me, I'm guessing whatever it is was just beginning to take affect when he was with me" she said using it rather her, she hated the thought that he could be with another girl
"if none you know what this is how do we find out what we're dealing with?" Hank asked knowing that they needed to work out all of the details to prevent Nick from getting worse
" I have an idea where we could get the information we need" Mia said getting up as she went to put on her grey knee high boots and grey coat while the others followed her
A little while later they all entered aunt Marie's trailer that was filled with things that the Grimms in Nick's family have used to hunt and kill different wesens, they had all completely forgot that Rosalee had never been in the trailer before. It took her a minute to take it all in as she began to look through the different concoctions that were laying around. Mia on the hand began to make herself at home by taking off her coat and scarf as she began to stuck by looking through the different books for answers. Hank noticed that seemed anxious to solve this and get her Nick back, he knew in that moment that she had fallen in love with Nick even if neither of them knew it yet
" so this aunt Marie's trailer? wow there is some really rare stuff in here " Rosalee said thinking that it matched the description from Mia and Monroe to almost a tee, it was fascinating to see all the wesen related things
" yeah there is some pretty rare stuff but right now we need to start with these" Monroe said gesturing to where Mia was sitting with book, flipping through pages without taking anything in
"this is where the books come from?" Rosalee said knowing that she had own books about wesen but these books were on a whole different playing field
" yup filled with different tales of the many Grimms encounters with the wesen, spoiler alert there aren't many happy endings" Mia said slightly distract by what she was reading, she was too tired to be her normal self
" plus other things" Hank said giving a slight nod to the cabinet filled with the different weapons that have previously been used to kill wesen
"yeah it is a veritable museum for wesen-ology, chronically the Grimms proud tradition of hunting and beheading people like us" Monroe said bringing her back to reality as he put it all into context
" guys I don't mean to sound mean or whatever but do you think we could get started? we're losing time, I don't want him to do anything that he might regret when he's back to himself" she said almost desperate for them to read the books
" yeah of course, Mia we will figure this out ok? so what are we looking for?" Rosalee said giving a hug before sitting next to her as they all grabbed a book to read
" someone that looks like this" Hank said holding up the drawing of Khloe voguing that Nick had been so protective of at the bar
A few hours later they were still reading through the different books, they were all struggling not to fall asleep which is why Hank had went and did a coffee run to wake them up with a caffeine shot.
" oh my god, this awful" Rosalee said reading the different stories about how some of the Grimms had killed a wesen by pulling him apart with tugging his arms and legs while he was in full vogue
"yeah it can be tough going reading this stuff, I'd reading the section about fuchsbaus and maybe be blutbaden" she said giving her a small smile, thinking that that make it worse
" Musai, that's what she is right? its all in here, oh woah this is could be bad"Monroe said quickly reading the tale about the artist friend of van gogh's who noticed that he had cut his ear of due to the musai's influence
" how bad is bad?" Mia asked anxiously as she waited not so patiently for her brother to tell her more details about Musai currently hijacking her boyfriend
" hold on it may not be that bad as long as she hasn't kissed him...what?"Moroe said noticing the look on Hank's face, he really hoped for so many reasons that Nick hadn't kissed her
"I saw her kiss his hand and who knows what happened when he went over there tonight, sorry Mia" Hank said seeing the crushed look on her face upon hearing the possibility of Nick kissing someone else
"by the way anyone know where Nick is?" Rosalee said thinking that they couldn't really stop this from getting any worse if they didn't know where he was
" no but I could give you two guess where he might be" Mia said sobering up slightly, knowing that she had a job to do and would deal with the emotions of it all later
The next day Mia decided to call into work sick so that she could help Monroe and Rosalee out since she knew there were spending the day in the old spice shop trying to find a cure for the Musai's kiss. She wore a pair of blue jeans, a white tank top, a sky blue crop sweater with the word 'legend' on it and pair of light blue nick air max. She wore her hair a fishtail braid on side with a blue ponytail tie, she wore heavy black eyeliner on her eye lid and pink lips. She grabbed her floral satchel bag and blue bomber jacket before heading out to go to the old spice shop. When she got there she arrived with coffee and donuts to soften Monroe up since she knew he wouldn't be happy with missing work
" what the hell are you doing here? you should be at work, I told you we've got this" he said annoyed that she never seemed to listen to him when it cam to the important thing in life
" I know you do but there is no way I would have been able to concentrate on teaching history when I know Nick could be in danger, I need to do something so please let me help" she said placing the donuts and coffee down to tempt him to forgive her
" fine but only because you have a bear claw and you know how much I love them" he said taking the bear claw and pulling her into a hug before she took her bag and jacket off
" so what have we got so far?" Mia asked wanting to catch up on any big discoveries that they might made before she got there
" well I've just read that a Musai's lips secrete psychotropic substance and unfortunately there's no antidote" Rosalee said glad that they had found out why Nick was infected but not so glad that she had found away to stop it
" so there nothing we can do?"she asked slightly heartbroken at the thought of Nick becoming insane with desire for this girl or worse dead because of her
" what? no there had to be something right?" Monroe asked knowing that none of would be able to sit back and watch this happen to Nick
"oh wait? hmmm nope nothing" Rosalee said rereading the books hoping that she had missed something that would help them out but came up short
"so her kiss is pretty much like the kiss of death?" Mia said taking a seat as she pulled a book towards her, she just wanted stuff to do or look at. She didn't deal with being helpless well
"obsession and desire can be confused for love" Rosalee said hoping that Mia would pick on the fact that wasn't actually love but all in his head due to the spell he under
"whatever this is it ain't love" Monroe said knowing that real love was nothing like this, it was based on so much more than simple desire for the person. Real love was what he had with Rosalee
" no but it probably feels like it, I think the only way to break an obsession like this is with the real thing" she said looking to Mia who seemed like the closest thing to Nick's one love right now
" if you're talking true love's kiss then I think we should Juliette" she said as her voice broken with emotion despite the effort she was making to keep it even and calm but inside it killed her to that
" why would you say that?" Monroe asked not sure what he should do to maker her feel better, Rosalee gave him a look that told him that there was nothing he could do to help her right now
" because we've only been dating for two months and there's no way he loves me, at least not like he loves her so please just call her" Mia said before leaving to run to the bathroom where she broke down slight and began to cry
Once they were able to convince Juliette to just trust them rather than ask questions about their very flawed cover up story of why they need her to kiss Nick to break the spell on him, she noticed that Mia was especially quiet and looked as if she had been crying. After a call from Hank to tell them that they had Khloe in custody after Nick had been caught beating up their suspect. He told them that he was worried that Nick might try to kill him or something worse due to something that she might had said to him, he asked them to hurry to the police station with whatever cure they had to prevent it. They all rushed into Rosalee's car since she was driving them down, the whole ride there Mia kept quiet and simply stared out of the window hoping to find some escape from this current mess. When they got to where the holding cells where they saw that Renard was pointing a gun at Nick who was pointing a gun at the suspect who was in a cell.
" hey Nick it's me Juliette, stop this ok? I know you and I know you don't want to do this, look at me...Nick look at me" she said as she moved his face gently so that he was facing her, she could see that he looked harder. She gently kissed but didn't feel him kiss back
"you're not her, I want Khloe ok? she's mine and only mine!" he shouted as he pulled away for her as he continued to point his gun at the suspect, closer to pulling the trigger as Juliette left
" it didn't work, Juliette isn't his true love... now what?" Hank said wondering if he could know him out and handcuff to a cell without him shooting him
" I think Mia should try, I mean right now you are his own option... I know you're scared that it might not work and are even more terrified that it will but right now Nick needs you" Rosalee said to her gently understanding the younger girl's fears
" fine... Nick I know I'm not Khole but I kinda need to this, I promise you'll understand later if this works" she said as she put her hands on either side of his face to pull him into a kiss
she poured everything she was feeling into the kiss. Her desperation, her heartbreak, her tears and all of her feelings for him, he began to kiss her back by dropping the gun and pulled her closer to him by wrapping his hand around her waist and placing his hands on the small of her back. They temporarily forgot that they weren't alone till someone cleared their throat to remind them so they broke apart
" what... what happened?" Nick said trying to recover as memories of the last few day came through but were clouded by some kind of haze
" I'm sure Mia will explain everything to tonight, why don't you take him home to get some rest Mia" the captain said knowing that they should probably let him recover from being under her spell for so long
" yeah of course, come on I'll drive you home" she said in a small kind of voice, she realised that Rosalee was right she was more terrified that her kiss would break the spell because it was all new ground for her
When Mia got Nick home she ordered him to go for a shower than straight to bed while she made him a cup of tea to relax, it gave her a minute to collect her thoughts and feels that seemed to be rattling through her. Once she felt calm enough to face him again she grabbed his tea and began make her way to her bedroom, instead of hearing him move a round or hearing the shower she heard total silence. As she walked into the bedroom her eyes went to the form laying in the bed under the covers, Nick was falling asleep although he opened eyes as she placed the tea cup on the bedside table like he sensed she was close. He pulled back the covers on the side that she usually slept on as if to in her in with him, she was suddenly scared to be so close to him but she quickly dismissed it since this was the same Nick he had been yesterday morning.
" please join me, I always sleep better when you're with me" he said half a sleep so she went into of his drawers and grabbed a pair of shorts that she had left and changed into them, leaving her wearing her white tank and shorts
" yeah I do too, how are you feeling?" she asked as she slipped into the bed next to them while fixing the covers around her, he placed a hand around her waist wanting to feel her skin just to be close to her
" better I mean my head hurts and I'm tired but otherwise I'm fine, thanks for saving me again" he said in almost whisper as he gently run his fingers up and down her arm, sending shrivers down her spine
" yeah well at this rate I'm going to need to start make you pay for my saving services, either that or I'll become the one that needs saving" she said trying to make a joke out of it, she knew that no one had explained the ins and out of the cure
" if that happens and you're one that needs saving then I'll be there every time" he said fighting the sleep now, he wanted to keep talking to her for as he could before the sleep over took him
" so you're my knight in shining whatever?" she said laughing slightly, trying to keep it light and fun. She knew that it was only different for her
" always... hey do you think that maybe we could have a picnic in the par-" he said before yawning, his eyes were getting heavier and heavier as he lost the fight between him and sleep
" Nick go to sleep ok? I'll still be here when you wake up" she said before kissing his forehead then turned so that he was cuddling her back and they were spooning, she cuddled into his arms that surrounded her.
