I decided to update early because someone left a review ( sorry I can't remember your name atm) and it made me realize people still read this story. But please I am begging all of you to please read, review, and follow my two new stories. I promise they will be great if you just give them a chance. And they will cross and I just know they will be great but I need help. So go follow, read, and review them. Oh and the color purple evokes nostalgic feelings. Like how Korra longed for the past, the chance to be able to do the things she loved.
Colours: Baby Blue
The journey to the South Pole was a long one, especially on a fishing boat.
"I can't believe Tenzin left us stranded at the docks knowing there were going to be no 'regular' boats. I mean look at this boat. It's disgusting. All I smell is fish and I think I'm going to be sick!"
"Korra calm down. Tenzin just didn't want anyone to see us. That's all. And your going to be sick because of the smell. I've noticed you have become very sensitive to smells."
Korra turned from Mako and looked over the rail on the boat. All she saw was water. But it was strange because the waters were very light blue. Usually they were dark.
"Yea...its a pregnancy thing..so I read."
Mako walked over and stood by Korra. He too looked out at the water. He also noticed the were lighter than usual. Especially since it was dark and the waters reflect the sky.
"You must really be scared about this."
"Well..I was..but now I belive I'm starting to understand more about this..."
"Its just hard to believe.."
"Yea..that I'm carrying an actual child inside of me. One that has hair, fingers,toes, bones...and its a bender."
Mako smiled.
"What do you the baby will be?"
"Aang already told us its a boy Mako."
"No I mean bending wise."
"Oh...well hopefully it is a bender."
"Yea you're right...Don't want him to feel left out."
"Yea...hey Mako?"
"Yes my love?"
"Are you ready?"
"Yea..hopefully your father won't kill me-"
"No I mean ready to get married?"
"Oh well...yea. I was planning on asking you to be my wife but I guess when you told me you were going to have our child I freaked out."
"Really?" Korra asked while turning to look at Mako.
"Yea. I really love you Korra. I don't just love you, I'm in love with you. And I couldn't vision myself with anyone else but you. Yea we have our ups and downs but we get through them."
Mako turned and faced Korra. He reached his hand out and grasped hers, rubbing his fingers over her knuckles he looked her dead in the eyes. Amber met baby blue. And he spoke, almost in a whisper, a loving one.
"And we will get through this. I'm ready to be your husband and a father to our son. I'm ready to except everything and I will work to support and protect you. I love you Korra with all of my heart."
He kissed her hand and Korra smiled and leaned into him. She knew he was sincere. She was starting to understand many things. Maybe she had finally matured spiritually.
