Sorry for the late update. I have been doing some beta stuff and I have been working on a new story. It will be Makorra eventually. But its not pure romance, its also action packed. I will not spoil the story for you guys but just know I'll publish it in about March, maybe earlier...it depends on when this one ends...

The journey. It was long and tiring. Mako walked for hours in the same direction Korra had, only to end right where he started. The snow may have been falling at a steady pace, but his footprints still remained outlined in the snow. He huffed each time he passed by his old tracks. It seemed as if this was a maze, a test to find his love. On a good day, he would make it through and pass. But today, the test has beaten him. The cold has overtaken the heat within his body, leaving him freezing, almost dead. His eye lids were froze as well as his hands and feet. Even his ears were red due to the freezing temperatures. But as he treaded on, he began to become weaker and weaker. Then finally, he fell.

Figures. Once again the odd shaped figures reappeared. This time, all five surrounded the fallen Mako. Each one spoke in a deep, raspy voice.

"You have fallen behind..."

"Your love you'll see again in time..."

"She is waiting there for you..."

"We can take you where you need to go..."

"Akuma, Akuma. Our master is waiting for you..."

After the last one spoke, Mako rose from the ground. Though, he was still unconscious. Mako's body hovered over to the fifth creature, and landed on top of him. As Mako's body laid down, the shape of a back was uncovered. Also, the color of the fifth creature changed. It was now red. The creature shrieked and turned and ran into the distance, with the other four following close behind. They seemed to be traveling in the same direction Mako had, but how come Mako ended up back where he started? The truth was, he didn't. The snow was playing tricks on his mind. The footsteps he kept passing were Korra's and the pup's.

After about ten minutes, the creatures arrived at a rather large hut. They shrieked once more. Then they all bowed, and disappeared. Mako, in turn, fell to the ground and awoke. He rubbed his head and sat up. He was staring at a large, teal hut. It reminded him of something Verrick would own, the way it was built and the coloring. Mako then looked around him and saw nothing but snow. His head throbbed with thoughts as he tried to remember how he got to this strange place in the middle of nowhere. The man they were to meet was suppose to live in the city. Supposedly.

Before Mako could stand up, a person appeared in the doorway of the hut. Not just a person, but someone special. Someone he had been searching for.

"Korra!"

Mako stood up and ran to her. He hugged her close and kissed her forehead. He then began to ask twenty questions and search for bruises.

"How did you get here? Why did you leave me? Who lives here? Are you okay? Is the baby okay? Are you hurt? What is this place? Do you-"

Mako was cut short by a finger to his lips.

"Mako, please calm down. We are fine. I don't remember how we got here, but all I know is we made it safely and so did you."

Korra hugged Mako and he hugged her as well.

"Well I am just glad you two are safe. I was so worried."

"Well there is no need for that. Our friend has been taking care of us."

Mako pulled back and looked at Korra. She was smiling but he was not.

"What friend?"

"The man we were suppose to find. Actually he's not just a man, but a legend. He was also my best in my past life..."

Her voice trailed. Mako became very worried. What if this person was a killer? Apart of a group trying to kill the Avatar? What if this "friend" is not actually a friend, but a sick person? Mako's head became filled with worrying thoughts. But was he overreacting? Wouldn't Korra know her past life if she saw them? Mako didn't even think about this. Instead he looked past Korra and saw a figure standing about five feet back in a dark corner of the room.

"I'm glad you could make it Mako. I've heard so much about you."

Mako moved Korra to his side and stepped in front of her.

"Who are you?"

Korra began to tug at Mako's arm.

"Mako, this is my friend. His name is Sokka."

Mako's eyes widened. He had heard of the great Sokka who, only at the age of fourteen, took on the responsibilities of being the only man in his village. The same person who fought alongside the avatar and defeated Fire Lord Ozai. The same man who became a master swordsman at a young age. This man was a legend. Mako just stood there. Sokka walked out into the light so he could be seen. He looked just like he did during his mid-life, but his beard and hair were longer, about shoulder length. He also had many wrinkles, just like Lord Zuko. But his smile was still the same.

"Its a pleasure to meet you Mako. But I haven't used the name Sokka in awhile. Many people call me Akuma."

I had to do it. I just love Sokka and he deserves to be alive. Please review.
