.

Izumo's POV

.

"When are the boys going to get back?" I grumbled to myself. "Class should be over soon so they can do the next shift."

"Um, Izumo," Shiemi said quietly from her bed. "Can you help me?" I sighed and looked up from the book I was reading. Shiemi was frowning at some homework she was working on.

"Sure," I said, walking over to her.

"I'm sorry for causing so much trouble," She said.

"Stop apologizing already!" I grumbled. "It wasn't your fault that you got yourself hurt."

"I know but-" she started to say, but I cut her off.

"Look, no one blames you," I said. "Truthfully I think everyone is just glad you're alright."

"Oh," Shiemi said quietly. "Hey Izumo…Did you believe me when I said I saw Rin and Bon?"

"I don't know," I admitted. "Your heart did stop, but it could have been later that you saw them. It could have been a dream. I don't know what to think." Sheimi opened her mouth to reply when suddenly her eyes got wide.

"Well, look what we have here," A voice hissed from behind me. "It looks like our little witness survived." I turned to see a cloaked figure standing at the doorway. Next to him was a big red eyed demon with venom dripping from its teeth.

"Who are you?" I demanded, getting ready to fight. The hooded figure laughed again and threw something in the room. The room was suddenly full of greenish smoke, and I started coughing.

"Kill the witness and her friend. After that, report back to me," The hooded figure said to the demon as he left the room. The demon hissed and took a stop forward. My vision started to blur as I tried to stay standing. The demon charged forward and jumped at me. Suddenly, something attacked the demon. Through my blurry vision, I saw someone take out the demon and head over to me.

"Are you alright?" The voice said. I opened my mouth and found I had forgot how to form words. The person disappeared for a few seconds and came back with something.

"Here eat this," The person said. I felt something cold touch my lips. I ate whatever the person gave me and after a few seconds my head started to clear.

"Feeling better?" The person asked. Now with my head clear, I saw the person to be a girl about my age. She had long black hair and huge green eyes.

"Yeah," I said shakily. She nodded and went over to Shiemi and gave her the same thing.

"Thanks for your help," Shiemi said, smiling.

"So, who are you?" I asked as I tried to stand up. My head started hurting, and I sat back down.

"I'm, um…Sam?" she said, unsure. I raised an eyebrow.

"You don't sound sure of that," I commented. "Are you sure that's your name?"

"Yes it is!" she exclaimed. "It's Samuel, um, Black."

"Samuel?" I said. "Don't you mean Samantha? Or are you saying your parents gave you a boy's name?" Sam looked at me for a moment a look of confusion on her face. She walked over to the mirror that was in the corner of the room and looked into it. She stared at it for a few seconds, a look of shock covering her face.

"WHAT THE?!" she screeched. "This can't be happening. Stupid amulet! This is what I get for getting Mephisto's help on something. Argh, I should of seen this coming!" Sam pulled out an amulet and started to take it off.

"Are you okay?" Shiemi asked worriedly. Sam stopped and looked at us like she forgot we were there. She gasped and quickly put the amulet back under her outfit. I eyed her suspiciously.

"Why are you dressed in a boy's uniform?" I questioned her. She looked down at her uniform and slapped her forehead.

"I'm in so much trouble," she sighed. "He's going to kill me!"

"Mephisto?" Shiemi asked.

"No, not him," Sam said. "This is what I get for trying to leave. I'm so stupid!"

"You're not making any sense," I snapped, getting tired of his nonsense. "Are you going to explain what's going on?

"It's…um…I have to go!" she said as she backed out of the room. "It was nice to meet you Shiemi and Izumo."

"I don't recall telling you our names," I growled. She gasped and changed out of the door.

"Hey!" I yelled, trying to stand. I managed to get to the door and stumble out into the hall. By the time I got there, she was long gone.

"Who was that?" Shiemi asked.

.

Mephisto's POV

.

I walked down the empty hall heading for one of the classrooms. I wanted to check up on how the students were doing. Between Rin and Bon's fake death and Shiemi's "vision", things were getting really interesting. All this drama was so amusing to watch.

"I wonder what's going to happen next," I mused. "Are they going to attack Rin? Or maybe another demon is going to attack one of them. Perhaps someone else is going to find out Rin's secret? Maybe Shiemi will figure it out...hmmm I doubt that, she's not too smart. Oh! Maybe Rin will crack under pressure and blow his mission, or maybe Yukio will crack and tell everyone. I wonder if Bon has realized why I helped him make himself an amulet. That should turn out amusing."

In the distance I heard footsteps running down the hall. I turned myself into a dog to not be noticed and hopped up on a window sill. A few seconds later, Rin came into view dressed as Tyler. As he passed, I turned myself back.

"Where are you going in such a hurry?" I asked him. Rin skidded to a stop and turned to me.

"I just got a new mission!" he exclaimed. "They thought that Yukio killed that demon that attacked Shiemi, so they want me to kidnap him! I was just on my way to tell Yukio."

"This just keeps getting better and better!" I thought, amused.

"Well I better be heading off," He said, turning to leave.

"Just a moment!" I said, holding up my hand. "Don't tell your brother that you're going to kidnap him."

"What? Why?" Rin asked, alarmed. "If I don't tell him, he'll panic!"

"Which is exactly how someone who's being kidnapped should act," I said smiling.

"He's going to kill me for this," He grumbled. I laughed and sauntered down the hall. Things are about to get really interesting.

.

Konekomaru's POV

.

"Why do you think that amulet is so important?" I asked as we headed down the hall.

"Maybe it holds some sort of power," Renzo said. "Or maybe it holds souls inside of it."

"You don't think Rin's and Bon's soul are in that amulet?!" I asked worriedly.

"Could be," He said. "Then again it really could be anything. It's not like he told us what it did."

"Yukio seemed worried to tell us anything," I said frowning. "I hope he's not going to get into any trouble."

"He'll probably be fine!" Renzo said. "I think he could hold his own again Tyler."

"I guess," I muttered. Up ahead, we heard footsteps, and then a girl came into view, charging down the hall.

"I wonder why she's running," I thought as I watched her glance over her shoulder. "She looks worried about something. Wait, why is she wearing a boy's uniform?"

"Hey!" Renzo called out to her. She turned to look forward again just as she crashed into him. Both went flying and landed a few feet away.

"Ow," she muttered rubbing her head.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked.

"Fine," she said, glancing down the hall. "She's not following me."

"Who's not following you?" Renzo said as he stood up. The girl looked up at us and her eyes widened.

"Oh no, not you two!" she exclaimed her face turning red. "Don't look at me!"

"Why?" I asked confused.

"It's embarrassing!" she wailed. She jumped to her feet and took off down the hall.

"Wait!" Renzo called out.

"Who was that?" I asked, watching her disappear around the corner.

"I have no idea," Renzo said. "I've never see her around here before."

"Should we go after her?" I asked. "She seemed afraid of something."

"Bad idea," Renzo said. "Izumo will kill us if we don't take our shift in watching Shiemi."

"Good point," I said as we continued down the hall. When we arrived, Izumo was watching for us angry.

"You're late!" she growled angrily, her hands on her hips. "What took you so long?"

"Sorry!" I said. "We wanted to question Yukio before we left."

"Did you get anything out of him?" Shiemi asked.

"Yeah, well kind of," Renzo said. "Tyler has this amulet around his neck. He hides it under his shirt. Yukio hinted that this amulet might be something important. He seemed nervous when we talked about it."

"That's interesting," Izumo mused. "There was a girl here a few minutes ago who has an amulet around her neck. It seemed important to her. Or I think it was. She was kind of talking nonsense."

"Was this girl wearing a boy's uniform?" Renzo asked.

"You know Sam?" Shiemi said from her bed.

"Sam? Is that her name?" I asked.

"We think it is," Shiemi said.

"She seemed confused when she told us her name," Izumo clarified. "She either lost her memory, lied about her name, or she's just crazy."

"When we saw her, she was running from someone," Renzo said.

"That was probably me," Izumo said. "She was acting suspicious so I started questioning her."

"I don't think she's evil!" Shiemi exclaimed. "She did save us from the demon."

"Wait, what demon?!" I asked alarmed.

"Apparently Tyler doesn't want any witnesses," Izumo said darkly.

"So, you two were attacked?" Renzo said frowning.

"Yeah, but Sam saved us!" Shiemi said.

"So, you're saying that although Tyler and Sam both have these strange amulets, they are on opposite sides?" I conclude.

"I guess that could be true, but I still want to question her," Izumo said.

"Excuse me," A voice said from the door way. We turned to see a nurse standing there.

"Yes?" Shiemi said.

"I just came in here to see if you wanted to try walking around," She said. "Most of the poison should be gone now, and it would be better for you to strengthen your legs."

"Okay," Shiemi said.

"Do you need help?" the nurse offered.

"Don't worry about it, we'll help her out," I said. Renzo and Izumo when to either side of Shiemi and helped her out of bed. Shiemi stood on the ground for a few moments her legs shaking before falling over. I caught her

"Sorry," she muttered, embarrassed.

"Stop apologizing and stand up," Izumo grumbled. Shiemi nodded her head seriously and got to her feet. We slowly walked out of the room and started down the hall.

"Since we're already walking around, we might as well look for Sam," Renzo suggested.

"Good idea," I said. "That way we can question her."

We walked in silence for a while. Every few minutes or so, Shiemi had to sit down because she got tired.

"I feel bad holding you back like this," She said during one of her breaks. "You could find her faster by yourself."

"True, but since you are a living witness it would be safer for us to stay in a group," I said.

"Hey guys…" Renzo said. "What's that light over there?" We all looked up to see a bright glowing light coming from an empty classroom. We helped Shiemi up and peeked in. There in the middle of the room, was Sam holding a flower to her amulet, which was glowing.

"Stupid thing is almost out of power," We heard her grumble as she pulled out another flower. "How many flowers does it take to charge this dumb thing?"

"Sam?" Shiemi said softly. Sam looked up, and her eyes grew wide with shock.

"What are you doing here?" she asked slowly, backing up to another door across the room.

"We have some questions," Izumo demanded. "And you're going to answer them!"

"Why is this happening?!" Sam sighed miserably. "I just wanted to get out of that stupid garden! Was that so much to ask?!"

"Can you just say something that makes sense?" Izumo yelled frustrated. "Everything that comes out of your mouth is nonsense!"

"We aren't going to hurt you!" Shiemi said. "We really only want to talk!" Sam opened her mouth, then thought better of it and instead charged for the other door.

"Oh no you don't!" Izumo yelled. "You're not getting away this time!" She charged across the room after Sam.

"We need to follow her!" Renzo said.

"But what about Shiemi?" I asked. Renzo looked at Shiemi and then bent over.

"Quickly get on my back!" he said. Shiemi nodded and staggered over to him.

"Let's go!" I yelled after Shiemi got on, and we headed after the two girls. We ran down hallway after hallway.

"That girl…is…fast…" I gasped as we ran.

"No…kidding," Izumo panted. Sam turned another corner and ran towards one of the rooms. She opened the door and stopped dead in her tracks. We caught up with her and Renzo put Shiemi down.

"Alright, now answer our questions…" Izumo said, as she noticed what was going on in the room Sam was looking into. Inside Tyler and Yukio were fighting.

"What's going on?" Yukio demanded looking worried. "Tell me!"

"Can't," Tyler grunted as he leaped at Yukio. Yukio jumped back and reached for his gun.

"Just stop and explain yourself!" he yelled as he pulled out his gun.

"Sorry," Tyler muttered as he jumped forward and knocked the gun out of his hands. Then, he hit Yukio over the head. He pulled out some ropes and said something quietly. The ropes jumped out of his hands and tied up Yukio.

"You're coming with me!" Tyler said.

"Leave him alone!" Shiemi exclaimed. Both boys turned and looked at us.

"What the…okay, I know this doesn't look good," Tyler said. "But I do have an explanation for it!"

"And what would that be?" Yukio demanded.

"Uhhhh," Tyler said. "Can't say…sorry."

"You better come up with something better than that!" Izumo said as we all got ready to fight.

"Wait a minute!" Yukio exclaimed.

"What's going on?!" Sam asked as she stepped forward.

"Who's she?" Tyler asked confused.

"Sam, be careful, he's dangerous!" Renzo exclaimed.

"Sam?" Tyler and Yukio both say.

"No I'm…You know who I am!" Sam said pulling out the amulet.

"Where did you get that?" Tyler demanded.

"Mephisto gave it to me," she said. "So I could leave the garden and walk around the school."

"Wait you're from the garden? That means you're…" Yukio gasped looking shocked. Tyler started laughing.

"Shut up!" Sam yelled.

"What is going on?" I exclaimed. They ignored me.

"Well, as much as I would love to stay and chat," Tyler said, sniggering. "I really have to go. Good luck, 'Sam'. Really, I'd love to hear the story behind that."

"I said shut up!" Sam yelled again. "I'm going to kill you!" Tyler laughter and threw Yukio over his shoulder. Izumo and I ran towards him. He turned and jumped through the window. We reached the window and looked out.

"It's a pretty long fall," Renzo said as he and Shiemi came over to us.

"You think he just killed Yuki and himself?" Shiemi asked tears coming to her eyes.

"Doubt it," Sam huffed. "It'll take more than a fall to kill that moron. He probably caught something on his way down and swung into another window."

"You seem to know everything that was going on," Izumo growled. "Care to explain?"

"Hey, I don't know everything!" She said, backing up as we all shot her glares. "I'm as confused as you are! I have no idea what Tyler was doing!"

"You still know more of what's going on than we do!" I said angrily. "Start talking, now!"

"It seems like you're trapped aren't you?" Came an amused voice from the door. We all turned to see Mephisto standing there.

"What's going on?" Shiemi asked. "Please tell us!"

"Well, since there's no way around it, I guess I'll tell you," He said winking. "But just a little."
