(Based off the 2012 TMNT series) Nefertiti was an orphan girl living off the streets of New York City, but what set her apart from the other children that resided within the Big Apple was that she was a mutant. A cat mutant, to be specific. After an encounter with the Kraang, she is rescued by a group of ninjas who just so happen to be mutants as well. (Rated T for future content)

Violet connects to her rescuer but can't figure out why he's reluctant to show himself. Or why her father's co-worker, Agent Bishop is so interested in him.

Mikey didn't wear his headset today, because Donnie hasn't used their private channel in weeks anyway, so what's the point. There isn't a familiar little voice in his ear telling him to 'get a move on, Mike. Don't stay up there too long. It isn't safe. Come home.' Which is good. He doesn't want to go home. They're alive to feel it all, the pain and relief and fear and love. They're together. The sun is setting, brilliant and golden in the sky, and their proud, unconquered city shines beneath it. Leo's sleeping, and he's safe, and by the end of the day he'll be home. (2k18, post-movie)

It's hard for Don sometimes, being in the middle of a group. It's easy to feel smothered. His skin starts to itch if he can't slip away. Sometimes a hug makes him want to slide into his shell the way Mikey hides in his when he gets spooked. But it's not hard all the time. There are some days when it's the easiest thing in the world. After all these years knowing him, Casey could read him like a book; one with dog-eared pages and a worn-soft cover, and lines so loved and familiar that Casey could string the words together in his sleep. And it was dumb that a genius like Don could forget that from time to time, but he never forgot for long. (implied/referenced MCD)
