Here's the next chapter! My schools is starting in a few weeks so I'm hoping to get at least one more chapter in before it starts. Once it starts I'm probably going to cut back on my story for a while. The chapters will probably take longer to come out then usual.

Shiemi's POV

.

"We need to get out of here!" I gasped. As we stood up to run, demons started coming around the corner, surrounding us.

"Oh, great," Renzo muttered. "Now we're really trapped!"

Once we were surrounded, some people in black masks came from behind the demons.

"Put your hands in the air!" One of the figures demanded.

"Should we fight them?" I asked worriedly.

"We don't stand a chance," Izumo muttered.

"They out number us, and we're completely surrounded," Bon said, raising his hands. We all did the same. Once all our hands were in the air, the men went around tying our hands behind our backs and knocking us to the floor.

"What's going on?" A voice said. We looked up to see a man with strange markings across his face come over to us.

"We found them wandering around the halls," A masked man snarled

"This is a surprise," The man with the marks said smugly. "Never thought students would find this place."

"Who are you?" Izumo demanded.

"Me?" the man said evilly. "I'm the leader of this humble organization. Who might you be? I know who some of you are." He turned towards Bon. "Though I don't know how you survived; you won't be lucky this time."

"You!" Bon hissed. "You're the one who told Tyler to kill me!"

"Yes," The man said, smirking. "I'm so glad you remembered. I see you came down here to take revenge on Evergroth." He looked over at Tyler. His eyes narrowed. "Seems you took him out. Pity."

"Do you want us to kill them?" A demon said, hungrily eye us.

"No, I want them alive," The man said, turning his attention back to us. "We can use them to test the new recruits' loyalty."

"Sir!" a person in a black mask said, running over. "We have a problem!" He stopped in front of the leader and started talking in a different language.

"Hey, Bon," Renzo whispered while they were distracted. "There's a spy here right? Do you think he'd be able to save us?" Bon shot him a glare.

"No, he can't," he snapped back.

"Why not?" Renzo said frowning.

"Because you decided to stab him," Bon hissed.

"What are you talking about?" Renzo asked confused. "I didn't stab…" He turned and looked at Tyler.

"No way," Konekomaru gasped.

"Hold on, that makes no sense!" Izumo exclaimed. "Mephisto said his spy saved you from Tyler!"

"No, he said that after the battle his spy brought me to Yukio," Bon said. "You just assumed that the spy and Tyler were different people."

"So that's what he meant!" I thought to myself. "Mephisto wasn't lying, but he let us assume things that weren't true! I wonder what else we got wrong."

"So, what else are we assuming?" Renzo asked.

"Not now," Bon said, noticing that the two were done talking. I looked back over at the leader to find that he had pulled out his sword.

"I was just informed," He hissed. "That the Demon Core was stolen. Which one of you did it?"

"The Demon Core?" Konekomaru asked confused. "What's that?"

"I think I've heard of it before…" Renzo said.

"You guys are hopeless," Izumo growled. "Remember it from the history class?"

"Hmmm. Oh, yeah; it was that thing that started a war," Renzo said. "Why do you think we have it? Isn't it locked up?"

"Stop playing games with me!" The man snarled. "Playing innocent isn't going to get you anywhere!" He put up his hand, and one of the demons leaped forward and grabbed me. I gave a gasp and tried struggling. "Now, hand it over before I kill your friend."

"I'm telling you we don't have it!" Bon yelled. The demon hissed and put a claw up to my neck. I whimpered and tried to pull away from it.

"We didn't even know the Demon Core was down here!" Izumo exclaimed. I felt the demon's claw press against my neck.

"We don't have it!" Konekomaru yelled.

"You have one more chance to hand it over before she dies." The man said angrily.

"What does it look like?" Renzo asked the others. "Perhaps we know where it is!"

"Um, I think it was a black diamond," Konekomaru said unsure.

"I think I've seen something like that before, but I don't remember where," Izumo muttered.

"If you aren't going to hand it over, then you leave me no choice." The man brought up his hand again.

"Wait!" Bon yelled suddenly. "I think I might have it in my pocket!" The man eyed him and walked over. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black diamond.

"That's the diamond Tyler dropped!" I thought, surprised. "If he was stealing it, then he really is the spy! Does that mean he didn't kill Rin? Was that part a lie? If so, why does he have Rin's sword? Did Mephisto give it to him after Rin died?"

"That was very wise of you to hand it over," The leader said smugly. He motioned with his arm, and the demon dropped me.

"Are you alright, Shiemi?" Konekomaru asked worriedly.

"I-I-I'm fine," I stuttered.

"Well then," The leader said, smiling. He looked up from his prize and eyed us happily. "What should I do with you?" He looked at something behind us, and his smile started to fade, being replaced by a look of anger and shock.

"Oh, no," Bon muttered looking behind us. "Bad time for it to break." I frowned and turned to see what they were looking at. Behind us, lying in a puddle of blood, was Rin.

"Rin?!" I gasped as tears started streaming down my face.

"So, all this time," The leader hissed angrily.

"That can't be Rin," Konekomaru said. "He's dead."

"Why am I seeing him here?" I wondered as I began dragging myself across the floor towards Rin. "Am I just hallucinating? Even so I want to go to him. Rin, Rin I missed you so much! I know I shouldn't be hoping like this. It will only lead to more despair, but, if there's any chance Rin's alive, then I have to see for myself."

"This makes no sense," Izumo said, shocked. "There's no way Rin can be down here!"

"It can't be," Renzo muttered. "Look around his neck. That amulet he's wearing. He's Tyler."

I froze. Rin was Tyler? Things started clicking in my head. The reason Tyler arrived after Rin's death. Why Tyler had Rin's sword. My dream, everything Mephisto told us…

"Rin," I cried as the reality that he was alive came over me. I continuing to make my way over to him. I arrived at his side and looked down at him. To my relief, he was still breathing. I felt myself starting to sob. Tears fell on Rin's face.

"He's alive. Rin's alive. He's really here!" I thought as tears streamed down my face.

"He's really alive!" I heard Konekomaru say from next to me. The others gathered around Rin.

"I can't believe it," Renzo muttered. "All this time." I looked up at the others. Their faces reflected mine in both shock and relief, except Bon.

"He knew this whole time," I realized. "No, he was hunting Tyler like the rest of us at the beginning. He must of learned when he was kidnapped!"

"What's going on?" Rin muttered groggily, opening his eyes. He looked up at us and his face went pale. "Oh, right…"

"I have some good news and some bad news," Bon said. "Good news is that your friends aren't going to try to kill you anymore."

"Really?" Rin said hopefully looking around at us. We all stared back at him. "Um, why are they all looking at me like that?"

"Yeah, that's the bad news," Bon said. "Your amulets broken."

"What?!" Rin said, sitting up quickly. He grabbed his side and groaned, falling back down again.

"Rin," I said tears rolling down my face. "You're alive."

"Yeah…sorry for not telling you guys," Rin muttered. "It's a long story."

"You better be," Konekomaru sniffed.

"You have to explain it to them later," Bon said, looking over his shoulder. Behind us, the organization leader was glaring at us.

"Aww, how sweet," The leader snarled sarcastically. "What a nice reunion."

"Wait, he's here to?" Rin said nervously.

"Yeah…I guess that's more bad news," Bon said.

"Is there anything else I should know?" Rin asked.

"Yeah, he got the Demon Core," Bon muttered.

"Oh…" Rin groaned.

"It's a pity you're a spy," The organization leader hissed. "You would have been a nice addition to my army. But no matter." he held up the stone. "Once I take your power, you'll be nothing more than a corpse! Bring the children to the dungeon, and bring the demon to the center room. We will begin the crematory." A bunch of demons grabbed us and began dragging us down the hall away from Rin.

"Rin!" I called, struggling against the demons. The demon that was holding me jerked me around the corner and out of view from Rin.
