It was Sunday the next day and I was on the beach as usual. It wasn't raining but the day was gray and cold. Miss Rose Katherine Brown knew I was at the beach. The air was cold. I was searching for clues as to what I'd heard that night. So far all I had found was a locket and a black velvet hair ribbon. No one else was out. I looked up and saw a dark haired woman on the widow's walk of our dorm house. No one was allowed to go up there. We all knew why. Someone had died there tragically many years ago. The woman didn't look anything like Miss Rose Katherine Brown or any of the young women in the dorm and I wondered what she was doing there. She had brown eyes and dark brown hair in a bun. She was thin and pale or maybe that's only because of how cold it was. She was wearing a gorgeous long white dress with a white collar, long sleeves and white buttons. She mouthed something which then formed its way into my brain. She was calling for someone by the name of James. Widow walks were where women came out and waited each day for their husbands to return from sea.
After awhile I went back inside the dorm.
