Mmm..how does everyone else feel about that? Her and Ashlee were starting to be good friends, could be interesting, let me know! Ashlee's p.o.v
I come out of the room I was trying to fall asleep in. I can't sleep. I sit back quietly on the stairs, letting Derek and Peter talk. Luckily, Peter didn't say anything when Derek brought me back with him. He asked if I was okay and that's it. It's still a little weird seeing him alive but Derek's comfortable with it so i'm going along with it too. Peter thinks he knows how we can save Jackson. Which is a good thing..expect that it's coming from Peter and i've been told not to trust him or anything he says. Then again, Scott was one of the ones that told me that and i'm wondering if I can trust him. I know it sounds horrible but he's working with the enemy..something's not right there. My phone rings and it's Scott. I hang up and put my phone on the step my feet are on. I rub a hand down my face before any tears fall. It's been a crazy couple weeks.
"Are you okay?" I look up and it's Peter asking again.
"I'm fine. My brother's looking for me" I sigh.
"Lucky for him, that's where we're headed" Peter smirks. Damn. I pull myself up, grabbing my phone as I do. Peter walks past me and out the door, Derek following. He stops beside me.
"Sure you're okay?" Derek asks.
"Yeah..of course" I smile weakly.
"It's Scott, isn't it?" he asks in a quiet voice. I nod and feel tears prickling behind my eyes.
"Why's he working with Gerard?" I ask Derek, voice quiet too.
"I don't know" he sighs. He must notice my watery eyes because his arms come around my shoulders, pulling me to him.
"I don't want to have to fight Scott" I whisper.
"It won't come to that, I promise" Derek says. I pull back enough to see his face.
"How do you know?" I ask.
"Because he would never hurt you..you know that Ash" Derek says. I nod, I do know that..i'm just having trouble still believing that. I lean my forehead againist his and let out a deep breath. "You're okay, we're okay" he assures me. I nod and lean forward, touching my lips to his cautiously. I know he's kissed me a couple times but i've never really taken that leap with him myself. When I feel Derek's hand come to my lower back, pulling me closer, and his lips start to move with mine, I deepen the kiss. I bring my hand up behind his neck and pull him as close as I can. I tease him with my tounge, darting it across his bottom lip. He smiles into the kiss and opens his mouth, letting it in. My tounge is almost instantly wrapped around his, both of us battling for dominance. It isn't until an unpatient Peter clears his throat that we jump away from each other.
"Well that's..interesting" he says, looking between us. "Are you done swapping spit? Can we go now?" he asks, an amused smirk hanging from his lips. I nod and we both walk out, following him. I can feel the dusty pink that's settled in my cheeks from being flustered with the kiss and being caught by Peter but I don't care because Derek's smiling to himself. I can't help but smile to myself as well.

"How come you get his shirt and I get his shoe?" I hear Isaac ask. What the hell? I clear my throat and the pair turn around.
"Ash? Where have you been?" Scott asks.
"We need to talk" Derek says.
"All of us" Peter says, dramatically appearing behind us.
"Holy shit" Scott breathes out. "What the hell is this?" Scott asks, stepping closer to us. "Ash, what are you doing with them?"
"I thought the same thing when I saw you talking to Gerard at the police station" I say, avoiding looking him in the eye. "When I heard you say we only joined Derek because Gerard wanted you too. I thought this was about keeping everyone alive, no matter what pack they're in"
"Okay, hold on! He-he threatened to kill Mum" Scott tells me. I narrow my eyes, I didn't know this. "I had to get close to him, what was I supposed to do? I'd never help him hurt any of you"
"I'm going to agree with Scott on this one. Have you seen their Mum, she's gorgeous" Peter says.
"Shut up!" Derek, Scott and I all yell at him. Peter just rolls his eyes.
"Uh..who is he?" Isaac asks Scott.
"That's Peter, Derek's Uncle. Little while back he tried to kill us all then we set him on fire and Derek slashed his throat" Scott says.
"Hi" Peter waves.
"Good to know.." Isaac says.
"How is he alive?" Scott asks.
"Lydia. She drugged both of us and performed some ritual bringing, a VERY naked, Peter jumping out of the floorboards" I say. Peter chuckles from behind me. "Not my favourite view in the world" I tease.
"My favourite view certainly wasn't you and De-" he shuts up when he sees the very serious glare of murder on my face. He smirks and doesn't finish his sentence.
"What? She drugged you? Like with wolfsbane? Are you okay?" Scott asks.
"I'm fine Scotty" I smile at his concern. He's not a bad brother, just sometimes he puts Allison or la crosse or whatever before what's really imporant..pack, family and not dying. "Look, Peter knows how we can stop Jackson, without killing him"
"Um..that's helpful expect Jackson's dead" Isaac says.
"Jackson's dead?" I ask.
"Yeah..it just happened on the field" Scott says. Derek looks back at his Uncle who sighs.
"Why is that not good news?" Isaac asks, too happy that Gerard made Jackson kill himself. I don't particularly like Jackass but he didn't need to die.
"How would you like to be in his shoes? Dead?" I ask Isaac. Sometimes he acts like a real douche. Isaac raises his hands in surrender and shuts up.
"Someone's frustrated" he winks.
"If Jackson's dead, it didn't just happen. Gerard wanted it to happen" Peter says.
"Sexually" Isaac adds quietly.
"Isaac" Derek growls, flashing his eyes red at the beta. Scott hears too and smacks his arm. Isaac just smirks but shuts up. "But why?" Derek asks Peter, who looks like he wants to shoot himself at the stupid teenaged antics in the room.
"Well that's exactly what we need to figure out" Peter says, stepping forward to stand with us.
"Wait..where's Stiles?" I ask Scott. Him and Isaac share a look. "Scott" I ground out, stepping forward. "Where is Stiles?"
"We were just about to find him before you turned up" Scott says.
"He's missing?" I ask, starting to feel angry that I didn't answer my phone.
"We don't know that, he could have just left early. I tried to call you.." Scott says. I sigh.
"I know, i'm sorry" I say.
"There's something else.." Scott says.
"What is it?" Derek asks, stepping up closer to me.
"Victoria's dead" Scott says, turning to him. Derek looks down..he bit her back when she was trying to kill Scott. "Their code says she had to..take her own life before the shift"
"She was going to kill you" I say to Scott. He nods.
"I know..but, Allison's coming for Derek" he says sadly. I grit my teeth. Allison and I are going to bump heads, alot. She hurts my family and pack? They doesn't sit well with me.
"Come on, i've got a beastiary of my own we can use" Peter says, walking out with Derek in tow. Scott, Isaac and I follow. Damn. Stiles is going to have to wait. As much as I hate to do it.

We end up at the Hale house. Peter has some sort of cubby in the stairs where he's kept a laptop with all the Hale information stored on it. I see Scott sniffing the air. He starts walking down the hall. Isaac goes to follow him.
"I've got it" I tell him, going after him. I know what he smells. He can smell me from being here earlier. I'd rather him not announce his findings and how he feels about them in front of all of them. I walk into the room and shut the door.
"You were here last night, weren't you?" Scott asks. I nod, getting ready to explain myself but Scott cuts me off. "You came here instead of home?"
"I was mad at you Scott, I didn't want to come home with you"
"Why were you here?" Scott ask, ignoring my last comment like he didn't think it was the truth.
"I didn't want to face you or Mum-"
"So this was the first place you came too?"
"I was in the forest" I correct him. "Derek found me, brought me back here" I can tell by the look on his face, my answer doesn't sit well with him.
"You shouldn't be hanging around them-" Scott starts. I cut him off this time.
"You shouldn't be hanging around the Argents but you still do!" I snap. "You know they want us dead, you know that right? Allison wants Derek dead, when they find out about Peter, him too-"
"Derek is not our alpha, you don't have to protect him! I'm your alpha" Scott says angerily.
"You're my alpha? You tell me what to do now? Huh?" I taunt angerily, shoving him into the wall.
"I'm more your alpha than he is!" Scott yells, pushing off the wall and pointing out to where Derek is.
"I have no alpha!" I growl, showing my fangs.
"You have me!" Scott snaps, getting in my face.
"No, because i'm not following you if you walk with Gerard. I'm not helping them, especially him"
"If I don't do this, people are going to die" Scott says. He's trying to make peace between hunters and werewolves but there will never be peace between them. It's just the way things are. I know he loves Allison but not all hunters are like her. And she's different now too, she wants Derek dead and she'll kill us to get to him.
"If you do this, Derek will die" I remind him.
"Only Derek-"
"And probably Peter too"
"They only want Derek. Otherwise, they come for us, for you. You're not getting hurt because of him"
"If he dies..I will be hurt" I say nervously but truthfully. Scott's mouth opens but he doesn't say anything. "I-I don't want him or anyone else to die" The silence is deafening. I know Scott wants to say something but he doesn't know how to say it. Scott's phone ringing tears the silence apart. I walk out of the room, avoiding everyone's eyes when they turn to me. I shake my head, telling them to not ask me any questions. Scott comes back into the room.
"They've found Stiles, he's fine. Something's wrong with Jackson though, we need to get to the hospital" Scott says. Isaac nods and gets up. He looks at me. "You too" he says. I grit my teeth. "Not as an alpha..as your brother. I want to keep you safe" Scott says softly. Derek looks between us in confusion, we said we were with him. He knows that was never going to be permanant though. Scott would never join his pack and I go where Scott goes, not matter how selfish or stupid he can be. He's my brother and I love him, i'll do whatever it takes to keep him safe. Just like Derek said in the beginning. I nod and get up.
"Let's go then" I say. We turn toward the door, walking out. I turn back to the two Hales. "Thank you for letting me stay" I say, giving them small smiles. Derek nods.
"Door's always open" Peter says.
"Are you going to be okay with him?" Derek asks, not even lowering his voice. Scott turns and walks towards Derek. Derek squares his shoulders. I stop Scott with my hand to his chest.
"We need to get to the hospital" I say, looking at Scott. He goes to object so I let my eyes bleed gold. "Scott" I ground out.
"She's fine with me" he says, glaring at Derek. "If there is anyone we should worry about her being with, it's you and him" Scott says, motioning between Peter and Derek. Derek growls.
"We need to go" I say, trying to stop this fight. Scott turns and heads out the door. I sigh and thank God for that not turning into some fight like it usually would. I look back over at Derek, glaring half-heartedly.
"Me and him are fine" I assure him. He nods and his posture softens. I turn and follow my brother.
"Like I said back when I was the alpha, i'm glad I bit her, she's fiesty. She's going to be strong" I hear Peter say to Derek. "Which means, she can protect herself" Peter says very pointedly at Derek. I don't know if Derek responds, I don't hear anything.
..
Isaac, Scott, Chris and I step out of his car. Jackson's in a body bag..this would look really bad to anyone else.
"Where's Derek?" Chris asks. Scott rolls his eyes as he comes running towards us, leaping up and flipping to a crotch position in front of us. His eyes glow red at Chris. Derek slowly stands up, watching Chris. "I'm here for Jackson, not you" Chris says to Derek.
"Somehow I don't find that very comforting" Derek says. He tells us to bring Jackson inside so we do.
"Hold on!" Scott says as Derek gets ready to kill Jackson. I'm about to step in when we hear Gerard. Jackson stabs up and throws Derek into another room. I grit my teeth, turning and growling at Gerard. I hear a whirl of wind and Scott ducks just in time for an arrow to hit Isaac. Allison. I run over and help Scott pull Isaac away.
"She's here to kill Derek" I tell Scott.
"We can't let her do that" Isaac says, looking at Scott too. Isaac can't lose his alpha. I can't lose anyone.
"This is gonna hurt" I tell Isaac. He looks at me in fear and I grab the arrow, ripping it out. He cries out. "Sorry, i'll heal in a minute" I tell him. Isaac chuckles lightly. I look down at him in confusion. "What?"
"That's not fair. I didn't even get to flirt with you that time" he says. I offer him an awkward smile as Scott's eyes narrow at him. I hear the kanima hissing, attacking Chris.
"I'm going to help Chris, make sure Isaac heals" I say, running out. I see Derek get up and flip over the crates, crotching down and roaring at the kanima, fully shifted. I walk up next to him, shifted fully too. He turns to me and nods. I hear footsteps and Scott and Isaac are behind me, shifted as well. We growl before running at it. We try quite a few tactics but none seem to be working. I see Scott get thrown againist the far wall. Then Derek's falling over, having been swiped with the paralytic venom. Isaac gets up to protect his alpha and Allison comes out, slashing at him with ring daggers. She looks at Derek. I step out in front of her.
"Move Ashlee" Allison demands. I growl at her, letting my eyes flare up gold again.
"If you touch him, i'll kill you" I promise her.
"Have it your way" she says. She slashes out at me, cutting along me stomach. I roar in her face, bending back her wrists until she drops her daggers. I watch as fear flashes across her face. I go to attack but I feel something slice along my neck. The kanima grabs Allison and I fall to the ground as well, my body paralyzed. Gerard tells us that the he's dying. He wanted Derek so he could get the bite and heal. He's going to kill Derek and become the alpha. I growl at him but there's nothing I can do but lay there.
"Scott" Gerard says expectantly. Scott shifts back and looks down at Derek.
"Scott! Stop!" I yell. "Don't listen to him!" I say as he grabs Derek and puts him on his knees. Derek begs him not to go through with it.
"He knows that the ultimate prize is Allison. It always has been. You are the only piece that doesn't fit Derek" Gerard says bitterly. I roar at Gerard. How dare he manipulate Scott!
"We're with Derek!" I correct. Gerard chuckles a little.
"You may have been with him but Scott never was" Gerard says. I look to Scott accussingly. We told him we'd fight with him as a pack. "There's no competing with young love" Gerard says, looking between Scott and Allison. "You should know that by now Ashlee"
"Scott, don't! She tried to kill us" I say angerily.
"I'm sorry, I have to" Scott says, pulling Derek's mouth right open.
"She tried to kill me!" I yell, hoping that would sway him.
"I'm sorry" he says.
"Scott!" I yell. I squeeze my eyes shut as I hear Derek's fangs meet Gerard's skin. My eyes fill with tears as he holds it up, like a trophey. I lock eyes with Derek. "I'm sorry" I say. He just nods, laying there, not able to do anything else. Gerard's going to kill Derek. Derek may get on my last nerve constantly but I don't want him to die..I really, really don't want him to die. Gerard starts moving towards Derek. "No, no, no" I say, trying to force the kanima venom out of me so I can help him. I grit my teeth in frustration when I can't move.
"It's okay" I hear Derek whisper.
"No, it's not" I say, trying again. I look back up to see Gerard standing beside Derek. He's looking down at his arm..there's black blood running from the bite.
"What did you do?" Gerard asks Scott. Derek looks up at Scott and Scott looks down at him.
"Everybody said Gerard always had a plan" Scott looks over to me. "I had a plan too. I told you, i'd never help them to hurt any of you" I sigh in relief, smiling proudly at my brother. He replaced Gerard's pills with mountain ash so the bite would kill him. I pull myself up into a sitting position, starting to feel the effects wear off.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Derek asks, sitting up as well.
"Because you might be an alpha, but your not our's" Scott asks, looking over at me again.
"Kill them, kill them all!" Gerard screams, black blood seeping from him. Before the kanima can attack, Stiles' jeep comes through the wall, hitting it. It jumps up and hisses at them so Lydia and Stiles get out, running away. It jumps in front of Lydia.
"Jackson!" Lydia yells, holding up a key..his house key he wanted back. We watch as he slowly recognizes it, starts to become human again. I hear something beside me and turn to see Derek holding his hand out. I take it and he helps me to my feet.
"Don't ever jump in front of a hunter for me again" he says, bringing our foreheads together. We both lean in and kiss quickly before i'm hugging him. Everyone's too focused on the kanima to notice us.
"I can't promise that" I say. We pull back to see Jackson's human. He steps back from Lydia, holding his hands out. Before I can ask what's happening, Derek lets me go and rushes forward and Peter does as well from the other side of the room. Both the Hales dig their claws into Jackson, lifting him up then dropping him. Lydia runs forward and catches him. Derek steps away from him. I feel smell his grief, he's upset about it. He places a hand on Isaac's shoulder and he's upset too. Jackson might not have been a werewolf but he was still a part of Derek's pack. Lydia tells Jackson she still loves him then lays him down as his heart stops beating. Lydia stands up and I make to go to her, comfort the crying girl. Derek grabs my hand and pulls me back when Jackson wakes up, eyes glowing blue. He stands up and roars, shifting into a werewolf. Lydia runs into his arms and as they hug, Jackson shifts back. Jackson nods to Derek as tears rolls down is face as he hugs the girl he's in love with.

I go home by myself. I know Derek needs some time by himself. And Scott's with Allison, Stiles has gone home. I don't question why Scott's with Allison..I know i'll just get mad. So I walk home by myself. I go through the front door, hug my Mum and tell her how much I love her. She kisses my cheek and tells me she accepts me for whatever I am and to never run off again. We hug again before we part and go on up to bed. I'm suprised to find there's someone already in here.
"I wanted to make sure you were okay" Peter says.
"I'm fine" I tell him.
"I think Derek wanted you to come back us" he says, smirking knowingly.
"Shut up Peter" I say, rolling my eyes.
"I'm glad you're okay. You and Scott will be fine" he assures me.
"I hope so" he doesn't say another word, just climbs out the window and onto the leaves. I fall back on my bed, sighing. What a crazy town this is.
