In the Mellark's mansion Finnick Mellark is sitting in the living room couch enjoying his drink, when Effie walks in.
"Effie hi, where is dad, did you come home alone?" Finnick asks as he gets up and walks to her.
"He stayed in the party. I just started to feel sick, and so I came home." Effie says in a tired voice.
Finnick laughs in his tipsy state of mind. "You sneaked out of the party, and he didn't even notice. What an idiot."
"Please respect your father Finnick." Effie says firmly, slightly annoyed.
"I just don't understand how a beautiful woman like you, ended up with a man like him."
"I saw love and safety in Steven. It's complicated." Effie answers.
"And what about the passion?" Finnick asks.
Effie doesn't have a chance to respond because her daughter Delly walks inside.
"Delly there you are. It's already past midnight what the hell are you doing coming home this late!?" Effie yells.
"Mom I told you that I was with some friends from the University."
"I don't care who you were with Delilah. You can't just be walking around alone outside in the night. Do you understand?"
"This isn't about me is it mom? It's just that you are stressed and you take it out on us right?" Delly yells back.
Effie gets up and hits Delly right across the face.
Delly runs to her room tears rolling down her face.
"Delly, wait I'm sorry!" Effie starts to yell after her.
"She is right. You can't take out your own problems with others." Finnick says calmly to his stepmother.
Effie just walks away without another word.

In the Everdeen's mansion Glimmer is lying down in her bed, while she talks about Peeta to Katherine.
"You have no idea how happy I am with Peeta aunt Katherine. He treats me like a princess, and I really cannot wait for you to met him." Glimmer says in her overly enthusiastic voice.
"I know darling. But you have to be careful with him. Remember that he is a dangerous man. Never let him get involved with Venus. He is a Mellark, our biggest competitor. After all he is the new president of Aqua." Katherine reminds.
"Oh please. Not again with the same story. Why so much hate towards the Mellarks?"
"Because of the business and the deals. Business can bring people together, and bring them apart. You are too young to understand Glimmer." Katherine says with passion, she always does when she talks about business.
"And I understand that me and Peeta's relationship is not business. It's love." Glimmer says.
Katherine laughs. "Love is a business that will always turn out badly. And anyway that woman.."
"What woman?" Glimmer cuts her off.
"That whatever is her name..Effie Mellark is a slut, a nobody." Katherine says with disgust.
"No, no aunt. Why would you say that about Effie, she is so adorable. Oh and she even told me once that she would like it if you could go to her house someday and.."
Katherine's eyes grow big of fear and disgust as she remembers that woman only as her enemy, a person that knows her darkest secrets.
"No, never. And don't ever mention that woman to me again. That woman is a curse, I forbid you from ever mentioning her to me again Glimmer. Never again do you understand. Never!" Katherine yells furiously.

In Miss Margaret's office Charlie Everdeen is chatting with Margaret.
"I'm supposed to eat breakfast with Madge and her friend Katniss today. But I'm afraid that I have a very important business meeting I need to get to, and it's urgent. I will be back in the evening, but I just wanted to talk to her first. Well, but now that I'm here how is Madge doing in her studies?"
"Oh very well actually. She is a very pleasant girl. Although..she could be doing better, if she um..if she would stop spending time with Katniss."
"But why..would she need to do that? They are very good friends and they love each other." Charlie asks confused.
"Well yes, that is true. It's just that Katniss is a very conflict girl, with bad manners. She is envious and well, she isn't really a good influence on your granddaughter." Margaret says wearing a big mean smile, that still looks good on her.
Their discussion is interrupted when someone knocks on the door.
"Come in." Margaret orders and soon Madge steps inside.
"Granddad!" Madge yells as she runs to hug him.
"And Katniss?" Charlie asks.
"Don't even mention her. I don't want to know anything about her." Madge says frowning.
Margaret looks pleased, but Charlie looks confused.
"Why? Did you two fight?" he asks.
"That doesn't matter anymore. I just don't want to know anything about her, ever again."

In the Mellark's mansion Glimmer is talking with Effie.
"I mean I just don't understand, why so much hate Effie. Why does my aunt hate you so much. What did you do to her?" Glimmer asks as she sips her lemon tea.
Effie laughs before she answers. "Me? To Katherine? Nothing."
"Oh you two can't lie to me. Something happened between you two and I don't know what it is, but you are both hiding it from me." Glimmer says.
Effie doesn't say anything as she is so deep in her flashback.
Flashback.
"These are real diamonds." Katherine says as she places the nineteen diamonds on top of the sleeping baby.
"What you are doing to me and this baby is inhuman Katherine."
"We will take our secrets with us to hell Effie." Katherine says coldly.
"Helloooo, Effie. Are you listening?" Glimmer asks bringing Effie back to the present.
"Please Effie, I need to know what happened. I'm close to marrying Peeta. I need to know."
"Listen Glimmer. The Everdeen's and the Mellark's don't hate each other. It's just that your aunt Katherine is a little weird. Don't worry." Effie says making them both laugh.
"I'll talk to Katherine if needed, to make sure that our problems won't affect you and Peeta. I promise, okay?"
"Thank you Effie." Glimmer says with a sweet tone.

Madge stands in a small beautiful part of the woods in front of the lake, waiting for Peeta. Soon, Peeta carefully walks towards Madge, holding a basket with some food in one hand, and a wine bottle in the other.
"Hello princess. What a beautiful place, isn't it?" Peeta asks while he looks around the place.
Madge stands silently, her back to Peeta.
"Well, I mean the place is much more beautiful with you in it. Look, I brought you a bottle of a Californian Merlock. You will love it." Peeta continues as he turns Madge around to face him, handing her the bottle of wine.
"But, I don't drink." Madge says as Peeta places the basket of food on the ground.
"Oh. Um, neither do I. But I don't know, it seemed somewhat romantic, drinking a glass of wine, with a beautiful woman like you." Peeta says with a dreamy voice.
"I already know that you gave my friend Katniss a ring, Adam." Madge says before clearing her throat. "Or should I say Peeta?" Madge finishes.
"Peeta!? Are you really going to start now too?" Peeta says rolling his eyes.
"The ring that you gave Katniss, is very similar to mine." Madge says, as she raises her hand to show Peeta her ring. "And the things you told her about her eyes, are exactly the same, as what you told me." Madge accuses.
Peeta takes a long sip of wine, before he pics up the basket and starts to walk away.
"I should have listened to my friend, but I didn't." Peeta mumbles to himself.
"What are you doing, you're not even going to give me an explanation?!" Madge yells after him.
Peeta turns around to face Madge once more.
"No, I don't need to explain anything to you. If you want to believe what ever your friend says, that's your problem! I mean, in the end this is all my fault, for going out with an immature, inexperienced girl, that to top it all of, is scared of drinking!"
"But it's.." Madge starts softly but Peeta cuts her off.
"No no, the thing is, you don't need to explain anything to me either. You do know, that you can get rings from every corner around here? You could even say, well I don't know that goddamn Justin Bieber gave you one, if you want to!" Peeta yells.
"What?" Madge asks confused.
Peeta just rolls his eyes. "Oh, forget it. This is what happens when you go out with girls outside from the city." Peeta says before he starts walking away, but Madge stops him again.
"Hey, I was born in the city!" Madge yells.
"Well, it doesn't look like it. You're immature, inexperienced, you can certainly see that you don't live in the city. You're scared of drinking, and I'm pretty sure that you have never been with a man." Peeta answers.
"That's not true! I can look younger and I may live in an institution, but I am so much more mature than what you think." Madge says with her innocent voice.
"Oh really? I don't believe you." Peeta challenges.
In return, Madge garbs Peeta's glass of wine. "Try me." Madge says, her voice filled with insecurity.

Katniss walked up to Peeta's hotel and now she is talking with a woman at the front desk of the hotel.
"Good day." The woman smiles.
"Hi there! Oh my god, I love your necklace, it really fits you." Katniss says even if she couldn't care less about the stupid necklace. This is all business here, Katniss thinks in her head.
"Thank you." The woman softly answers.
"Listen, I need to know the room of a guy that is staying here. He is my cousin. He's name is Peeta." Katniss lies confidently.

Madge and Peeta sit by the lake, as they drink their wine.
"I can't believe that you want to swim in the lake Adam!" Madge yells in her tipsy state of mind.
"Oh c'moon it'll be fun. But, we have to do it naked." Peeta smirks.
"But..I don't know how to swim." Madge says softly.
Peeta gets up from the ground.
"I see. And I suppose that you also should get going, wouldn't want anyone getting angry at you, for coming in late." Peeta mocks.
"No no, It wouldn't be my first time going in late. And anyway we have vacations right now, no one is waiting for me." Madge says as she takes a large sip of the remaining wine on her glass. "I um, finished my drink." Madge says softly.
Peeta chuckles. "We drank the whole bottle. Well, I drank more than you." Peeta states.
"Now you see that I drink, right? And I'm fine!" Madge says, as she loses her balance, but Peeta runs and gets a hold of her.
"Be careful!" Peeta says, and they both chuckle.
Madge and Peeta are so close to each other now, that Peeta moves to put a lock of hair behind Madge's ear.
"I really like you Madge. Really really like you." Peeta says, and then he moves his face so that his lips are just there, for him to kiss her, when he suddenly pulls away.
"It's sad that you are so young though." Peeta says as he turns his back to Madge.
"Adam, but I'm not a little girl. I'm a woman, and I'm going to show it to you."
That's were Peeta smiles in a cruel way, because he knows that his plan worked. He made this innocent little girl his. So Peeta turns around and walks towards Madge, and then he kisses her with passion.
Peeta is laughing at her in his mind, but Madge only moves to take his shirt off. For Madge, she and Adam are about to make love in front of the beautiful lake, and for Peeta, it's just a fuck with a stupid girl.

At the same time, Katniss is standing behind Peeta's hotel room, trying to unlock the door with her hair pin. "Let's see who's going to be laughing at who." Katniss mumbles to herself, as she tries to push the door open, but she is interrupted by someone touching her shoulder.
Katniss flinches, and as she turns around she is brought face to face with Peeta's best friend Gale.
"If you want, I have the key right here to open the door." Gale laughs as he hold the key in the air.
"No no no, I wanted to um..surprise Peeta." Katniss says, as she presses herself against the wall, wanting to stand as far away from Gale, as possible.
"Oh, I see. You can wait for him in my room. We can have a really good time, if you want." Gale says as he moves closer to Katniss.
"No thank you." Katniss mumbles as she starts walking away.
"Hey pretty girl, wait a second. If I let you inside the room, my friend will never forgive me. Let's go to the bar. I'll buy you a drink?" Gale asks.
"No need for that. Plus, I don't drink." Katniss answers before she turns around again, but Gale stops her.
"It's okay, they also sell milk for little girls." Gale jokes, making Katniss roll her eyes.
"Come with me, please? Don't be mean." Gale begs.
Katniss takes a deep breath to calm her nerves, since she finds this guy really annoying.

"Come on in, and make yourself comfortable, Miss. I will let Miss Katherine know that you are here to see her. But, what is it that you said you're name was again?" Silvia the Everdeen's maid softly asks.
"Effie Mellark Trinket." The woman answers.
"Oh, what a beautiful name you have Miss." Silvia says, making Effie smile.

Katniss sits in the bar with Gale, sipping on her ice tea.
"Peeta isn't stupid, he's immature." Gale laughs with Katniss.
"Well, that's something I have to agree with. He looks like those type of useless men that have never worked in their lives." Katniss laughs.
"Well, thanks to me, he does work now. But let's not talk about him anymore. I want to get to know you, my darling Tell me about the institution, of your past.." Gale says.
"Well, I also come from a very rich family. We have so much money, that we put dollars on our food. Mmm, it gives a delicious taste. You should try it." Katniss says sarcastically.
"And well, they sent me here, because it is the best school for ladies, in the whole country." Katniss lies, just to mess with the guy.
"You're honestly the perfect woman. Beautiful and a millionaire."
Katniss just smiles.
"My darling, are you shaking? Is it because you're with me?" Gale jokes as he reaches over to touch Katniss's arm.
"Nope. I just have to go to the bathroom." Katniss answers.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I''l wait for you here."
"Thank you." Katniss says, as she smiles sarcastically. She then stands upand once she has her back to the man, she rolls her eyes in disgust, leaving Gale sitting there checking her out from behind.

"I let you come inside, only to tell you myself, that you will never be welcome in this house." Katherine talks with Effie in her office.
"I get that you know, that Glimmer and Peeta are together." Effie states.
"Yes, for Glimmer's pity. A Mellark always means trouble." Katherine answers.
"Don't think so. The one that caused trouble to me was you. An Everdeen. And now..don't you think that we should forget about the past?" Effie asks.
"I cannot forget!"
"I understand. I went trough the same. But it's been so many years that.." Effie starts but she get cut off.
"To me, it was yesterday. Because of you, I lost my son!" Katherine yells.
"You are the one who separated me from your son. I loved him!" Effie yells back.
"Ha! That thing wasn't love."
"Yes it was, Katherine. And don't you dare blame me. Because you are the one who made your very own husband turn against you, after what you did. She is eighteen years old, you know." Effie states, and Katherine's face turns into horror.
"Get out of here, you miserable woman! Get out!" Katherine starts yelling.
"Did you ever hear anything about that baby?" Effie laughs.
"What are you talking about? I want you to leave right now, do you understand me? Right now!"
Without another word, Effie gets up and walks away.
Katherine throws her sunglasses to the side.
"Eighteen years! She's eighteen years old!" Katherine cries out.

Katniss is walking back to the bar, when she spots Peeta walking towards Gale, and she stops right in her tracks.
"Whats up man? Talking to yourself?" Peeta laughs at Gale, as he sits on what was Katniss's spot just five minutes ago.
"No, I was with a chick. Anyway, where were you?"
"With that little girl, whats her name, Madge?" Peeta answers.
Katniss goes behind the bar counter, making sure that neither of the boys see her.
"Can you believe that Madge believed that I was Adam?" Every time I'm with that girl I have to bite my tongue, so that I don't start laughing right there in front of her."
Gale laughs. "Well, did you do it with her?" he asks.
"Oh of course." both of the boys laugh.
Katniss sits there, fuming with anger as she secretly listens to the boys.
"I did have to get the girl drunk though. That girl is an idiot. Her friend told her everything about me, and I just told her a different version, and she believed everything."
"Ha. You know her friend came looking for you." Gale laughs.
"Wait, what friend? The wild one?" Peeta asks.
"Yeah, the chick that slapped you. She wanted to get in your room. In your bed."
"Well that's really good. Let her go to the room, and let her get the bed ready. Let's see if we get off her temperature." They both laugh.
Katniss is about to show herself and attack both of the guys, but she stops herself.
"No, no. I'll take care of him later. But one thing that I will promise is that you will pay for what you did to my friend Peeta. I'll take care of that." Katniss mumbles to herself, before she carefully walks away.
