Ashlee's p.o.v
I wake up, stretching out my arms and legs. I hear a thud and a groan making my eyes snap open.
"What the hell?" I hear Derek ask sleepily. I move and peek over the side of the bed. Woops..I just pushed Derek off the bed.
"Sorry" I smile sheepishly. He pulls himself up, yawning.
"It's okay" he says, sitting down on the bed beside me. "How're you feeling this morning?" he asks, brushing my hair out of my face.
"Alot better" I smile softly.
"You're still a little cold" he says. I sit up.
"I'm okay. We need to get to Scott, make sure everyone's okay" I say. Derek nods and I get out of bed. "You call Scott, i'll change and we'll go" I say and he nods. He leaves the room, pulling out his phone. I quickly change into skinny jeans and a warm long sleeve. I pull on my usual black combat boots and meet Derek outside. He looks at my outfit, silently approving. I dressed warm so I could stay warm.
"Scott and your Mum are at Stiles', we'll go there" Derek says. I nod and we start walking out. Derek stops and goes into Scott's room.
"What're you doing?" I ask him. He comes back out, holding up Scott's beanie. I grin as he puts it on my head. I have to move it as it comes over my eyes.
"There, that's better" he smiles down at me. We walk outside, getting into his car.
..
"Thank god" Scott says, hugging me the second I walk in. I hug him back tightly. "Derek told me what happened"
"I'm okay now, i'll have more answers tomorrow. Is everyone okay?" I ask him, pulling back. Scott sighs. My face falls..this can't be good.
"The Oni tested Stiles, he's laying down in the other room. He passed, he's himself" Scott tells me.
"But?" I ask, knowing there's a 'but'.
"The Nogitsune split them up..he got away, and he took Lydia"
"Where is she?" I ask.
"That we don't know yet" Scott says, sighing again.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't here" I say sadly. Scott grabs my shoulders, shaking his head.
"No, you needed to go to Deaton. I'm glad you went" he says. He looks over at Derek. "Thank you for being there for her when I couldn't" he thanks him.
"It's okay" Derek says, smiling a little.
"Listen, Stiles and I are going to see his Dad then coming back. The twins are going out looking for Lydia, Allison and Isaac too. Do you need to stay here and rest too?" Scott asks me.
"No, i'm okay" I say. "I want to help, what can I do?" I ask.
"If you're going to help, you need to take Derek with you, okay?" Derek walks over upon hearing Scott.
"I'll stay at her side" Derek assures Scott.
"You two should help look for Lydia, i'm staying with Stiles" Scott says.
"Okay, we can do that" I nod. Derek nods too. We move to leave. Scott grabs Derek's arm.
"Hey" Derek stops and turns back to Scott. "Thank you, seriously"
"It's okay Scott, i'm not going to let her get hurt. I'll protect her, always" Derek tells him. I feel my heart flutter at 'always'. I want him to be with me always.
"I'm glad you're here, that she has you" Scott says.
"So am I" Derek smiles softly. Scott nods and gives me a smile.
"Okay, go. Be careful, both of you" Scott says. We both nod.
..
We're in the forest. I pick up a smell, it's faint.
"Hold on" I say, stopping Derek.
"You can smell them too?" Derek asks hopefully.
"Faintly but..I smell them" I say. My wolf's picking it up. "It's the twins" I say. Derek smiles.
"Yeah" he nods. "Come on, we should-" he's cut off when we hear gunshots. I can pinpoint them in the direction that the twins are in.
"Come on" I say, running in that direction. Derek follows.
"Don't you dare get hurt Ash" Derek says. I nod and we run into the gunfire. Derek grabs Aiden who's most hurt, hoisting him up and pulling him out of the way. I help Ethan to his feet, throwing my arm around his waist and helping him walk. We find a small cave, a coyote den and bring the twins inside. Derek dumps Aiden to the floor and I carefully place Ethan down, giving Derek a 'really?' look. Yeah, they're both a pain in the ass and they helped kill Boyd but..they're with us now and they want to help. No, i'll never forgive them for what they did for Body but i've learnt to see past it. Ethan helped when Kali was coming to kill Derek so i'm thankful for that too. Let's just say i've got more respect for Ethan than Aiden.
"You okay?" I ask, checking over Aiden. He's in bad shape. He nods, coughing up blood. Yeah, real convincing Aiden.
"Where are we?" Ethan asks.
"It's a coyote den. Stay quiet" Derek says.
"Did you see the shooter? You know who it is?" Aiden asks, looking between Derek and I.
"No, we were a little busy getting you two out of there" I say.
"Now, who did the two of you piss off?" Derek asks them.
"We pissed off everybody" Ethan says. Well..not exactly a lie. "It was only a matter of time before someone caught up to us"
"Well the bullets have wolfsbane in them. So if we don't get you out of here soon then the poison's going to spread" he tells them. "So stay quiet" both twins nod, wincing in pain. Derek nods to me and we both walk outside.
"What do we do?" I ask him quietly.
"I'll scope it out, find us the quickest way out, you stay here with them-" Derek says.
"No" I shake my head. "I'm not letting you go out there alone"
"You can't come Ash. We've had this fight before, it ends the same way. We can be pissed off at each other later, i'm not putting you in the line of fire while you're still healing" he says. I frown. I know I can't go out there. One shot could kill me as we're still unsure about my wolf.
"Fine" I sigh in frustration. "If you're not back in 5 minutes, i'm coming after you" I say.
"Give me 10" he says.
"Okay" I nod. "Just please..come back to me okay? I can't..I can't lose anymore people I care about" I say the last part in a whisper.
"Hey, you're not losing me. And i'm not losing you" he promises me. He kisses my forehead. "10 minutes and i'll be back, alright?" he says, starting to leave.
"Okay" I nod. I watch him run off, worry settling in my gut. I go back into the cave where the twins are. "Hey" I say to Aiden who's doozing off. His eyes open. "Stay awake okay? We'll get you out of here"
"Why?" Aiden asks. "Why would you want to help us? After what we did to you? What we did to Boyd?" he says, coughing up more blood. I sigh and look down at him.
"No, i'll never forgive you for those things but I can see you're here to help us and that's worth alot to me, to the pack. People can change Aiden, people can fix their mistakes" I say.
"That's what we're trying to do" Ethan says.
"Well keep doing it because it's working" I tell them. They both smile softly before their faces screw up in pain again.

Derek and I heave the two males into his loft and onto the couch.
"Stay with me, okay?" I say, smacking Ethan's cheek softly. His eyes open and he nods drunkenly. "Derek, we gotta do something, they won't last much longer" he nods and searches through a draw. I frown at what he pulls out. Two zippos.
"It's all we can do. We don't know the species" Derek says. I nod. He takes Aiden and I take Ethan. We lean them againist the table and start burning the wolfsbane out. The smell..it's disgusting. Burning flesh and wolfsbane. It's a long, painful process for the two boys. Afterwards, we put them back on the couch to heal. My phone starts to ring and I quickly answer it.
"Ash, where are you?" Scott asks me.
"With Derek and the twins at his loft. Where are you?" I ask him.
"Eichen House, we know Lydia's here" he tells me.
"I'm on my way" I say, nodding to Derek.
"I was going to tell you to stay put.." Scott says.
"Not going to happen baby brother, give us 5 minutes"
"Fine. I'll see you soon" he says. I hang up. I'm done sitting it out and resting, it's time to fight.
