Ashlee's p.o.v
Derek and I walk up to the pack. They're standing in a circle outside the Eichen House gates.
"I'm here to save my best friend" Scott says.
"I'm here to save mine" Allison says.
"I'm here to save my brother" I say. The pack turn and see us.
"Ash" Stiles sighs in relief. I hug him tightly. We pull back and I kiss his head. It's so good to see he's him again.
"I'm here to save pack" Derek says. I smile proudly at him. He's come a long way since we meet. Went from hating Stiles, absoluting rejecting the teen, to accepting him as pack. Lydia too.
"Did you bring weapons?" Allison asks. I smirk. I draw my katana.
"Of course I did" I smile.
"What about your wolf?" Scott asks.
"Still waiting. For now, I have this and i'll be fine" I assure him, motioning to my sword. "Let's just worry about saving Stiles and Lydia" they all nod in agreement. We walk in the gates and come face to face with the Oni, Kira's Mum Noshiko is standing in front of them.
"Kira, turn around and go home" Noshiko orders. "Take your friends with you"
"I can't" Kira says as we stop in front of her. "When I looked at the game, I realised who I was actually playing. You"
"Be careful" Scott whispers to me. I nod and mouth 'you too' as Scott and Stiles leave to find Lydia. Allison draws her bow at Noshiko.
"Call them off" Allison says.
"You think you can take him alive? You think you can save him?" Noshiko asks us.
"We can" I say, bringing my katana up.
"I thought that too. Your friend is gone" Noshiko says to me.
"I don't think you're sure about that. Stiles doesn't have to die" I say.
"Stiles isn't going to die" Derek says, flicking his claws out.
"Ryes didn't have to die either" Kira adds. Her and her mother lock eyes. I don't know who they're taking about but he has something to do with the Nogitsune. The Oni draw their blades, lifting them into fighting positions.
"I see i'm no longer the fox now Kira, you are" Noshiko says. "But the Nogitsune is still my demon to bury" then, the Oni all disappear. I panic.
"Where did they go?" I ask her.
"They're going to do what they were made to do" Noshiko says. I feel tears prick my eyes as I get ready to attack her. Then Noshiko stumbles. She opens her hand and the firefly in it turns to dust.
"Mom?" Kira asks her.
"What is that?" Derek asks her. "What does that mean?"
"It means there's been a change in ownership" we all turn towards Stiles' voice. "They belong to me now" the Nogitsune Stiles smirks. The Oni raise their baldes again and charge at us. We run at them, fighting them off. I find myself with Kira, both using our katanas. I kick the Oni i'm battling away. I look around and spot Derek. He's holding his own againist the Oni, helping Isaac. I help Kira as 2 go after her.
"How do we stop them?" Isaac asks Noshiko.
"You can't!" she stresses, hiding off to the side. I see Isaac get sliced across his chest and stomach. Derek roars and runs over, fighting the one attacking Isaac off. Kira stabs into one of he Oni, kicking it away from her. She nods to me and I run to Derek's side, helping him as another Oni comes to attack. A fierce heat spreads through my veins as I fight at his side. It doesn't hurt though, it's nice, it's comforting. Isaac drops to the ground behind us. Derek turns his back for one second, a former alpha's instinct as Isaac was his original beta. Everything slows down as a katana is pluged into his side. I make to scream but it comes out a roar, loud and angry. An incredible rage fills me, forcing my wolf out. I swipe down at the sword with my own katana, pulling it out of him. I stab my katana into that Oni. My claws and fangs come out as I charge at it, shredding into it with my claws. The ground shakes and I have to stop my attack and find my feet. Then the Oni stop attacking, everyone stops. Allison's arrow sticks out of one of the Oni. The wound glows yellow as it explodes, ground shaking even more. She killed one. Allison killed one of the Oni. A loud, ominous rattling comes from one of the Oni. Before anyone can do anything, it plunges it's katana into Allison. Her blood paints the wall behind her and I hear Lydia's banshee scream, screaming out for Allison. The Oni tears the sword out and Scott's rushing over and catching her before she hits the ground. The Oni disappear into the air. Scott pulls Allison into his lap as she bleeds out. Kira rushes over to her mother. I tear my wide, frightened eyes away from Allison to go to Derek's side.
"Derek, hey, stay with me" I say, putting my hands over the wound. The katana went clean through. He nods but his lips are coated with blood. "Don't even think about it" I say.
"Y-your wolf, she-she's back" he says, giving me a small pained smile. I nod quickly.
"Yeah, she is. But she needs you okay? I can feel it, so don't try checking out on me alright?" I say. I feel tears come to my eyes as Allison's breathing picks up quickly as she goes into shock. I hear Scott start to cry as he can't take her pain. I reach for Derek's hand and thank god when I can take his pain. "Hold on okay? Hold o-on" I say to him. My voice breaks as I hear Allison tell Scott she loves him, that she'll always love him. Derek must hear too because he looks over at them and back to me again.
"Remember wh-when I told y-you that I-I care about you? When you c-came back?" Derek asks me. I nod, tears falling as I hear Allison's heart stop beating and Derek's start to slow too. "I l-lied. It's more than th-that" he says.
"No, stop it, right now" I say, realising he's trying to say goodbye as well. His hand comes up to wipe my tears away weakly.
"I-i'm in love with y-you Ashlee M-McCall" he says. I squeeze my eyes closed, starting to cry properly.
"Please don't say goodbye" I beg him, holding his hand tighty. "You said you wouldn't leave my side Derek" my voice wavering with tears.
"I-I don't want too-"
"Then don't. Please" I plead.
"I just have t-to know I-I said it" he tells me. I bring his hand to my mouth, kissing it.
"I'm in love with you" I smile down at him despite the tears coating both my cheeks. Derek smiles weakly up at me. "So you hold on, okay?"
"I'm t-trying" he assures me.
"Don't try Derek, do it" I say. I look up and see Scott crying over Allison. He looks over at me and I break down in a sob. "I'm so sorry" I say to him. He smiles weakly at me before leaning down to kiss Allison's forehead. I hear someone running over and look to see it's Chris. His face falls when he sees Allison, lifeless in Scott's arms. Me and Allison weren't the best of friends but she was helping me and the pack and she was important to Scott so she was important to me too.
"All of you, need to leave right now" Chris says. "Now! Go!" he's not angry, he knows what he's doing. He goes over to Scott and Allison.
"G-go" Derek says to me.
"Not without you" I say.
"I don't th-think i'm g-going to-" Derek starts.
"I'll help you, come on" Isaac cuts his former alpha off. I nod my thanks and Isaac and I help Derek to his feet. Isaac pulls his jumper off, tying it over Derek's torso and over the wound.
"Scott?" I say, looking back at him.
"I need him, go on" Chris says. I don't move.
"It's okay Ash, get Derek out of here" comes my brother's broken voice, still looking at Allison. I nod, tears starting to fall again. Isaac and I get Derek to his car. I stay in the back with Derek and let Isaac drive. I lay Derek down, keeping his head up and leant againist my chest so he doesn't choke on his blood. I rake a hand through his hair, the other holding one of his hands, helping with his pain.
"Where do we go?" Isaac asks, looking back at us in the mirrors.
"Deaton's" I tell him. "Take us to Deaton's" Isaac nods and floors it, going for the animal clinic.
"If I d-don't make it-" Derek says.
"Shhh" I hush him.
"F-Find Cora..tell her I l-love her and i'm s-sorry" Derek says, looking up at me. I shake my head.
"No. You're gonna be fine Derek, you can tell her yourself" I say. Derek squeezes my hand tightly.
"Just in-in c-case?" he says. I nod, leaning down to kiss him.
"Okay Der" I say, smiling sadly. "I promise"
