"Hmm... Oi see..." Sheamus mumbled as he rubbed his beard, still seated on his chair after Matt and Evan had finished their story. "Ye fellas are in quite a predicament."
Matt nodded in agreement to what the ginger had said, all the while Evan looked at Daniel. He swore he had seen the goat faced man before, but he just could not remember from where...
Undertaker now sighed, having grown a bit of compassion from the story, and walked towards the cell, "Kids, we understand that you would love to help your friend, but you are dealing with forces that you would just not understand..."
Matt glared at him and only shook his head, "I don't care what you say. I have a mission and I'll see it done and blown up in my face before I give up hope on Jeff."
Jeff was stunned at those words, while Randy only scoffed, but Kane stepping forward stopped them from saying anything.
"Matt, right?" He asked, which only got a tense nod from the teen. "You have to understand what we're saying. The Fields of Gold, they're not easy to get to. You have to pass through many trials and tribulations before you are even allowed to know where they are hidden."
Matt was ready to yell at them, wondering if they didn't understand that he didn't care how hard it was supposed to be, but Evan speaking up stopped him. "Is there no way for us to be able to pass those trials? We really want to save Jeff."
Kane sighed as he crossed his arms, and now Randy noticed that the men had made a kind of wall in front of their cell. Sheamus was seated with his hand on his jaw, thinking of something or another, while Undertaker and Kane both stood beside him, arms crossed with deathly scowls.
He was about to wonder were the Goat Faced coward named Daniel was when suddenly the man popped in front of Kane.
"There is a way to gain access to the tests of the Fields." He informed them, only to have Kane bonk him once more on the head.
"Are you an idiot, Daniel? We're trying to stop them from going on a suicide mission!" Kane growled, but only got a mischievous smile from the shorter man.
"I know that, Kane! But Jeff only has a few months to live and if the four of them really want to save him-"
"Not me!" Randy interrupted, which only made Daniel sigh in annoyance and continue.
"And are prepared to lose their own lives, then maybe we should let the humans regain their honor."
Undertaker and Kane were quiet after this, actually thinking over what he had said, but Randy just had to break the silence. "What the hell do you mean with regaining honor? We never lost ours."
Sheamus suddenly let out a booming laugh, making Evan jump into Matt's arms, while Jeff just hissed. "Humans! Honor! Good one, Randall!"
Randy only stared at him, and asked Jeff, "What's so funny?"
Jeff only shrugged then Sheamus wiped a tear from his eye and got up, snapping his finger to make the chair disappear. "Oi have an idea, fellas!" He then smiled at Matt, and snapping his fingers once more, the bars of the cell were no more.
"What the-?" Randy looked at them, eyes wide at the display of magic, but Sheamus already had his back turned and was inching to leave.
"We must travel ta the library, boys! There we will get our answers!"
And with that Sheamus whisked away, his cape on once more as he glided with what seemed like shadows beneath his feet, leaving the teenagers in the room gaping after him.
"Well? Are you walking?" Daniel asked as Undertaker scoffed, already walking behind Sheamus.
Matt looked at Evan, and they both nodded, knowing that they were not going to give up on their search just yet.
"Of course not! I refuse to follow you deeper into madness!" Randy exclaimed, glaring at Kane and Daniel.
"Maybe for once Randy's right, guys." Jeff whimpered, backing into the wall of their past cell. "Maybe this is just some cruel trick before they kill us."
Matt looked at him, then shook his head. "No way, Jeff. Now come on, I want to save you."
With that he took off running, Evan following close behind so they wouldn't lose Sheamus and Undertaker. Kane only sighed as he kept his arms crossed, looking down at Jeff and Randy.
Without even a single word suddenly two chairs came flying from out of nowhere and grabbed Jeff and Randy, flying them both out of the room. "Come on, fellas!" Sheamus' laughter echoed through the castle along with both their screams, the teens scared of what they could find.
Kane only chuckled darkly as he calmly walked behind the flying chairs, shaking his head at them. Humans could be so foolish at times.
"Well, at least two of them can reason..." A small whisper beside Kane told him, making him look to his right.
There a beautiful, blue tinged ghost was floating beside him, accompanying him on his walk to the library.
"Hello, AJ, what brings you by today?" Kane asked, which made the woman giggle.
"I wanted to play with you, Teddy Kane, but I found out you found trespassers in the Control Room..." She answered, now ghosting her way to his left as he continued walking. "So I wanted to see who would be stupid enough to break into O'Shaunnessy Manor..."
Kane nodded, then asked, "You think these humans are trustworthy? Well, at least that Matt and that Evan?"
AJ only smiled, "Ask about the mother of Matt, Kane... You should at least remember her..." With that cryptic message she left, floating through the ceiling to leave Kane alone once more.
Kane stopped at this, suddenly wondering why AJ would say something like that, but before he could figure it out the form of Daniel ran up to him, breathing heavily. "I hate you guys and your long legs!"
The taller only glared down and continued walking, leaving Daniel to curse him as he ran to catch up with him. They continued like this all the way to the library, with Kane as stoic as ever and Daniel cursing at him, but when they got there, even Daniel had to stop talking from the surprise they got.
